Subway in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

A big thank you to John from St Austell subway who let me know about an issue with my order and gave me extra chilli bites and an extra footlong cookie including a personal note inside my order. Thank you

Morgan useless! He accepted our order at 20.30 then he said he didn't have it and would not do it! Awful, disgusting attitude and treatment! Avoid at all costs if you want to eat and buy from reliable company.

Great for food, especially if you have special dietary requirements, but I personally always take it to go~

Came in with my children, after waiting for about 10mins until they caught up on delivery we was finally served. Got to the table and the sandwich’s looked like they had been pulled though a shredder and then to my horror the “manager” bread and glasses started to eat behind the counter where he then took blue roll and cleaned his MOUTH and then the same cloth he wiped his mouth with he cleaned the crumbs from the counter he made sandwiches from . At this point I chucked everything we had in the bin. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

Brilliant service from staff, great welcoming atmosphere for dining in, food is actually amazing can’t do any better anywhere else. This is the place to go.

I was served by a staff member who was very welcoming and polite, every time I go to St Austell subway I’m always paying for my moneys worth. I definitely recommend this subway!

St austell is absolutely vile!.. so unclean and staff have no idea what they are spose to be doing...I think there needs to be more training and a definite clean 🤢

Absolutely appalling young member of staff today dropped a knife on the floor and picked it up off the floor and didn’t change her gloves so asked her to change her gloves which she did and then drops the over tray on the floor picked it up AND PUT IT ON THE COUNTER WHERE DISHING UP FOOD absolutely disgusting terrible hygiene walked out straight away and will not be returning 🤮

Absolutely awful, they ALWAYS miss something off the order, and it’s usually cold and squashed. Today I’m missing half of what I ordered

The bad service ever!!Its a boy there ,he speak very badly,he was angry and without mood for work.And the the bread I think was old,cause was falling apart.Dirty place,better avoid.If it’s dirty in the dining room,you think how it’s in the back?where they prepare the food?yuck.

Wish I'd read the reviews before ordering. Only 3 of 6 items arrived, and one of those had the wrong bread. Shocking service, and very annoying when you're ordering for kids, some get their food, others have to wait for something to be home cooked.

My sandwich when opened, was falling apart and impossible to even call it a sandwich. I asked to have it replaced and the manager shouted at me infront of everyone. She was absolutely disgusting. Never go here unless you want to eat your 'sandwich' in a bowl with a spoon.

Shocking.. One sandwich had wrong items on it, the other was hard. A drink was missing, two sides were missing and a wrong cookie given. They clearly can't read an order. Honestly just tasted rubbish. Definitely won't be ordering from here again. Not worth the money.

Have ordered several times now via Uber Eats. Every time, something has been wrong with the order, whether it be an incorrect ingredient, incorrect drink given to the delivery person, or whole items missed off. Don't get me wrong we've enjoyed the actual food, but how hard is it to read an order ticket. If you can't keep up with delivery orders (especially when you charge so much for delivery!) don't offer it.

Apparently this is acceptable as a chicken tikka foot long 🤣 I rang to explain how bad the order was and was told they can't do anything! the chicken was revolting it was chewy and rubbery and tasted nothing like normal. Avoid this place at all costs.

I have to say I have now been into subway in St austell twice and the shop was dirty, lots off fillings not available and the poor staff member on his own, rushed off his feet with no breaks!!! Something needs to be done, subway management are letting this store down.. You should be ashamed.... And the staff member should be given a medal for working with no support.

Ordered through Uber eats . Over cooked food which was cold when it showed up. Didn’t have a item I ordered and wasn’t refunded for it and the wrong cookies.

Ordered through uber eats. Turned up ruined. Wrong sauce on two sandwiches. Sandwich had extra veg which I didn't ask for.. just don't understand how its so hard to read from a bit of paper and mess up the order this bad.

Very sloooooow service . I waited 40 minutes

I ordered food off Deliveroo but it took 1/2 hours to actually arrive and when it did it was all stone cold

Only the second time I've ever had subway! Was lovely. The chap serving us was really nice. Helpful too!

Food is decent - Service is slow too slow so slow i felt i'd aged a year by the time i got my order.

No face masks/visors being used by members of staff preparing food!!!

Hardly any salad or fillings (tiny store shouldn't have seating should just be a takeaway) struggled to get a buggy around (would be impossible to get a wheelchair in safely)

Walked in yesterday for a quick sandwich. There was one member of staff struggling to make sandwiches and take payment and one stacking (already full) crisp shelves, oblivious and ignorant of the 10 people in the queue. Waited 10 minutes, then left.

Go here all the time and 70% of the time it’s alright but on the odd occasion I’ve seen fights, drug addicts picking up there gear and a bunch of other things I wish I didn’t see. Countless arguments as well which sort of put you off your subway. The staff have all seemed really nice but still I can’t really recommend this place when there are people on mobility scooters (who clearly don’t need to be using them) jousting with each other inside and outside the place.

Coffee was good but the inside was filthy so felt the only place to sit was outside. It was cleaner than inside.

It's just subway not keen there's not really nothing new on the menu no more think they need to add some new foods, staff were fast with service.

Disaster of a place, the one person who was working was sorting something out with the till with no acknowledgement that I was there waiting for 5 minutes. There was a problem with the card machine, the employee who was the only one serving in a peak time tried sort it out and call her manager, manager non existent and left his/her phone at the store, what kind of manager leaves there only staff to deal with a busy service? I don’t want to be to harsh on the lone employee dealing with a problematic card machine and a big queue but she could of dealt with it better by acknowledging the problem and telling other customers who had queued for a long time that they couldn’t pay on card as some of them queued not realising the issue, only to be told at the end you can’t pay on card, why not tell them straight away!

Unlike most subways the server was not generous with the salad I ordered. I even asked him and he said it was standard. Will not go there again

This place is absolutely shocking !!!! If I could rate zero stars I would the server was awfully slow and was more intereasted in talking to her mate than making our sandwiches, then there was a wasp flying around our food and she decided let it continue to fly around all the condiments and salads as we sat down to eat the wasp continued to pester us with our sandwiches which cause my partner to drop half of her sandwich on the floor and the woman continued to say "I would get rid of it but I can't " shocking service and unfriendly staff not worth the eat !! Fuming

Absolute rubbish. Several people could not get the rolls they wanted. Card scanner not working. Ordered a large coffee and when removed the lid it was only half full and to top it off no condiments. I mean sugar or in my sweetener. Has put me off going back.

My son loves it, always pop in after the cinema, cheap and you know what you are getting. Can be a bit clostraphobic when its bissy.

Great deals, average food and a small seating area. Tables outside are appreciated however and the staff are very friendly.
