Ordered from here when staying in local caravan park. We took a bit of a punt as the reviews aren't great. Girl on the phone was pleasant and helpful, delivery was quick and the driver was great. Ordered mixed kebab and pizza, kebab came with sauces covered in it which I wouldn't normal want but my God was it nice. The garlic and chilli sauces are excellent and the kebab itself was beautiful ( barr a small chicken bone ), pizza was good, nice flavours however would've been better if the base hadn't been pre baked. All in all very good and pleasantly surprised after seeing all the negative reviews.

Food over cooked even chips have no life left in them have been fried the hell out of. Burger like rubber Wrap has more salad than anything else. Very disappointed

Worst takeaway I think I have ever been to !! I have had two takeaways from here and the first was such a disappointment Chips and cheese…..had no cheese and forgot the sauce,chips weren’t even warm and looked like they had been sat in a chip tray for hours and if you were lucky about 3 mouthfuls and a kebab that had about 2 thin slivers of meat in it Gave it a good few months and thought maybe it was just a one off……got a kevab last week and it had again 2 tiny slithers of meat and a waste of money ! Shame as it’s super local and I would use it more but it’s a waste of time don’t waste your money!!!! Go to the kebab house in Indian queens

I’ve been here once, and that was one time too much. The staff were rude to me and my boyfriend openly laughing at us calling us gay I have never felt more ashamed trying to buy a simple kebab, if you value your self worth I would highly recommend a different kebab house

My experience at Jay's Kebab and Pizza was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and cheesy chips, expecting a quick, satisfying meal, but what I received was utterly revolting. As soon as I opened the pizza box, my appetite vanished. A long, dark hair was grotesquely entangled in the melted cheese, stretching across several slices. This nauseating discovery was only the beginning. When I reached into the cheesy chips, I bit into something unexpectedly hard. To my absolute horror, I unearthed a half-cooked rat, partially frozen and slick with grease, concealed beneath the cheese. This wasn’t merely a case of poor hygiene; it was a flagrant violation of basic food safety and human decency. I was left physically ill and disgusted, forced to dispose of the entire meal immediately. The very thought that someone else could endure such an ordeal is deeply unsettling. Jay’s Kebab and Pizza should be condemned for such egregious negligence. This establishment is a hazard to public health, and I implore anyone reading this to steer clear. This place is beyond redemption.

Very aggressive staff gets offended when you ask them to remake an order even if they got it wrong

£13 for a 12” pizza you expect proper pizza. They are using supermarkets pizza bases and putting cheap topping on them. Not even making the dough themselves. Bloody awful!

It says open till 11..... Went early and was shut.... Asked why and was hurled a lot of abuse in a language I didn't understand.... Might be nice food'. But people are not nice.... 😞

Girls serving were polite and we didn't mind waiting 30 minutes but we got home to find the food was absolutely awful, chicken meat and chips and large chicken shish was the same chicken, it definitely wasn't shish prepared on skewer nor was the chicken meat cooked on a split (doner) it was like nothing we've ever tried before AWFUL. You can't charge £24 for this formulated minced chicken weird stuff, chips were ok but look at the photo 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 absolutely the worse kebab experience I've ever had . Avoid

Ordered a kebab and wrap, was amazed to find how much the leaflet was not showing the correct prices. Paid £26.50, absolutely disappointed. Spot the lamb shish, tiny little chunks, chopped up very small, chicken wrap just as bad. Avoid

Best food Cornwall, friendly staff! Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area, will definitely be going again. The pizza and chips were both amazing, service was quick and food came hot. 10/10

Avoid!! Overpriced! Good tastes great but not good enough to justify the price! Ordered a Jay grill special was £25 and when we opening it we genuinely thought we'd been sent the wrong item! Same thing from Roche star is only £19 and we can never finish it! After this we are still hungry well Hangry now!!! Behold the grill special:

Pretty awful really, ordered the special grill, the bread is most definitely NOT handmade the chicken and lamb shish pieces were so small I can't believe they were on a skewer more like a chopped up piece of grilled lamb steak and a chicken escalope, pitifully small quantities of each and about 8 strips of lamb doner for £24.50! Also the prices outside, do not match what was charged outside it said £22 and included chips! The server was polite but that's about the best thing to be said.

Ordered for the first time yesterday. So impressed with how easy the ordering was, the communication was excellent as the driver rung us 2 minutes before she was arriving. Was chatty when delivering (which can be rare sometimes!) and the food itself, (2 pizzas and chips) was hot, presented well and tasted really good! So we’ll be ordering again. Thank you for a positive experience!

The pizza was terrible, looked like it was a pre bought base. The kebab was really nice. I'd have the kebab again. £7 for a 9inch pizza that has a pre bought base is a bit much.

Good place for a quick but filling takeaway, good lads work well to give you good food and service. Recommended for a good munch.

Brought for a family of 5 a lot more expensive than our kebab house less meat in the kebab salad not nice had two extremely greasy wraps so much so my hand just dripping in it chips small portions not very cheesy unfortunately we will not be returning

Fastest delivery of a kebab in my entire life! Hot, and quality lamb donner and generous portions! I don’t get that from London!

Unfortunately I will be not placing another order again. Food did arrived almost stone cold. Even they located 8min by car from us. On top we did order 2x kebab with cheese and fries and vegetables. We did received dry kebabs and no chips or cheese with it. On top size of the portion was 3x smaller smaller than in any other kebab place . Disappointed.

Sold us boiled chicken in the name of doner chicken, atleast should have told us they don't have doner we could have bought something else

Was on holiday in Newquay and decided toget a takeaway as it was a long drive down and 2 tired to cook or go out, not the best and a bit over priced

Not bad. Getting a bit expensive . Only takes cash so don't use it very much. Not convenient.

Two 9 inch pizzas and 2 cheesy chips charged 31 although looking back at the menu I was overcharged as it should of been 23 pound even with delivery fee was way overcharged then the delivery had no change terrible the chips had barely any cheese on them

Unresponsive to calls before closing time, clearly more interested in getting off on time than serving loyal customers. Unwelcoming customer service unsure how this establishment is still in business, the assumption is that its the only one in the local area, please avoid.

The food was lukewarm and the amount was small for the price, the chicken wings I ordered were inedible and overpriced they were slimy and the batter was a white liquid

Booked for takeaway and gave address and made payment. 15 mins after delivery time called as not arrived but no one picked up for 20 mins and advised on way. 1 and half hours after delivery time called again to be advised had our order down to be collected! If that was the case why take our address for delivery. Requested money back and have been informed to call tomorrow for refund. Avoid if you dont want to go to bed hungry! The biggest issue we have is that if they told us they could not deliver we could have picked up the order on way back from pub!!

Took almost 90 mins to arrive, food was hot, surprised to see such a small Portion of mixed meat for the price of it. Food good enough, just a shame about the time and portion.

Really poor service, placed an order by phone for delivery and was told it would be 40 minutes - I could walk to the shop in 5 but isolating due to COVID and figured maybe Wednesday is a busy evening for them. After an hour still no sign of the pizza delivery, when I called to follow up, I was told it would be at least another 20 minutes before I would get my order!!! £4 delivery fee is laughable to deliver what would be a 5 minute walk, let alone delivering it 40 minutes after the original 40 minute delivery time! Last time I ordered from here was 5 years ago and swore I'd never do it again then; isolation forced my hand this evening but looks like it's still a 1 star outfit - I might give it another whirl in 2026, but probably not.

Waiting 2 hours for my order tryed to phone to add to after calling 80 times with no reply give up when food was deliverd itemes was missing phoned to reprt items missing finaly got thru and attertude was that wasnt botherd at all about my complants dont was your money i wasted 35 pounds compleat wast of time and money

Ordered on the app and collected-great size portions and the perfect weekend take away. My partner was particularly impressed with the wrap and my daughter regularly has the Popcorn chicken 👍

would give 0 stars if i could. i genuinely don't even know where to start loooool, we went in today and ordered a cheese pizza, the sign on the wall says £5, but we were charged 8, which is clearly because we were kids - just to top it off, it wasn't a cheese pizza we were given, it had ~very~ hot chillies all over, pepperoni, garlic and onion. and it was horrendous. so overpriced and genuinely not worth it :/ couldn't even finish a single slice either xx

Ordered a large donner by phone and my wife asked is it a large keebab? When we got it home it turned out to be the smallest amount of donner meat l have ever seen. It was also cold and looked disgusting. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. .

Ordered To quarter pounders. Definitely nothing special. Cold buns. Old looking salad. Don't waste your money.

I wouldn't waste your money. The food was terrible. The pizza's was practically raw and had to be put in the oven to finish them off, Asked twice for NO tomatoes on the kebabs and they were covered in them and so much garlic mayo was put on that they were near inedible. I'd close my doors out of embarrassment for serving food so bad.

Made a large order for delivery which was very late, which wouldn't have been a problem if they had delivered all of the food ordered and the food that was delivered was cold, had no sauces and didn't look appetising at all. When contacted the staff were extremely rude and abusive on the phone. Would not advise anyone orders from here.

Used to be great but lately not so good. Supposed to be open until 11pm tonight but fully closed down at 10:30

Not a bad place. Not a great variety on the menu but not bad as far as pizza places go. Pizzas were ok but bases on pizza and garlic bread were a bit hard. Chips were hard like typical pizza place chips and onion rings were soggy. I've had loads better. Staff were nice and friendly though. Visited here staying on newquay holiday park as it seemed the closet one. Would I go there again? No I think next time I'd try somewhere else.

Bad experience, been ordering food from here for a while now yet this time around the food was over an hour and a half late, had to phone up 3 times, when the driver finally came to the door the excuse I got was “it’s been very busy” then when I asked for a refund as me and my family (including my 5 year old sister) had waited so long I get told the only way for a refund is if he took the food back!!!! Disgusting!!

The food was undercooked we had to chuck 90% of it away we ordered mix kebabs and got just Donna kebabs I would not recommend this to anybody my dog did not even eat the food and he eats anything if you have not got high cholesterol you will have after this restaurant is more Greece then food absolutely disgraceful

Will ring you to charge extra for delivery which can take a hour. Chips over cooked, hard and greasy. Kebab either rather under cooked for hard and over cooked. Never had a good experience

This place use to be really good, ordered 2 mixed doners last night which we had delivered only to find out half the salad was missing and the red cabbage was on the verge of going mouldy . Needless to say we were both up in the night not feeling very well I hate to say it but this place is going down hill AVOID!!!!
