Stop By Saltash Grill in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

I used to be 10 & 1/2 stone, until I started regularly ordering. The potatoes used to be the best thing on the menu. I'd order xl kebab and large potatoes with cheese, which was enough to feed me for 3 days. I even on occasion ordered twice a week, just leaving one day to find food :D. I went up to just over 16 stone at one point as I liked it so much A year or 2 ago, they changed both the kebab and potatoes. The potatoes are tasteless now and both are so salty, that I end up being up half the night downing pint after pint of water, so dry, I cannot even think about trying to go sleep. I've only been ordering once or twice a month since and generally order pizzas now, just periodically I will have potato and kebab, in hope that they've changed back, but regret it everytime. At least since they changed it all, I'm down to about 12 stone now. Then the prices went up and the delivery fee went from the cheapest on Just Eat, to the 2nd most expensive. If I want to do a minimum order, it goes from the £12, to +4 delivery, +50p service charge, and your at £16.50. It's just not worth it anymore.

The pizza was so good, like genuinely. Customer service was brilliant too - they asked us if we were enjoying our meal (as we chose to sit inside). The chicken was cooked well. Good value.

some of the jacket potato was a little uncooked in areas, other than that all was good

Thank you Stop By for another great meal,delivered on time! My previously asked question concerning the option of thick cut chips remains unanswered,however,that apart,another good experience!

Excellent food as always! One suggestion…any chance of having proper thick cut chips instead of mass produced and presumably bulk bought thin cut chips. I think having either/both as an option would be good…in my opinion anyway!

Lovely food,ordered for delivery “as soon as possible”,was given an estimated time,but they beat it by 15 minutes…impressive!

Great food,but some portions are getting smaller. Last week lamb kofta was just four or five strips of meat…this week the mushroom starter consisted of just five mushrooms. Everything tasted lovely,but value for money in some instances is questionable!

Another good experience with this order, lovely food delivered in a decent time.

Delivered on time(ish)…within 10 minutes of time requested)…sadly not as good as previous orders…chicken pieces on the small side and tended to be overcooked! Other elements of my order,nuggets,mushrooms,spicy spuds and gravy excellent! Will continue to order from Stop By!

Ordered 1 pizza and 1 scampi and chips 1 bottle of Pepsi They delivered our order plus 4 bottles of Pepsi which i didn't ask for but got charged chips were cold and scampi so hard you could of broke rocks with it rang them to ask for a re order on the scampi they agreed but nearly 2 hours on no order tried to ring again wouldn't answer so its cost me £25 for 1 pizza and 1 bottle of Pepsi ..I've been using this grill takeaway for years never ever complained when on occasions I could have Will never use them again or recommend them ever again Disgusting customer service

Fast on delivery ! The Chicken Kebab was full of flavour and big on portion sizes but unfortunately chicken was a little bit too dry, But I would order again 👍

Late again, never ever even a hint of apology but then again they never do! Long long wait for food then when it arrives it's at best lukewarm. Time to try somewhere fresh.

Ordered Kebab with Salad, the Salad was lovely but the Kebab tasted processed, it a shame as we have had Kebabs from them before.

I ordered my food at 7:49 our pizza came 1h 10mins later just to have the wrong food delivered. I ordered 2 cheese pizzas but because I said cheese and not Margarita pizza they put it down as cheesy garlic bread pizza not just a plain cheese tomato pizza. I phoned up to just try to have a civil conversation but I was speaking to someone who says he was new and if I could phone back 10 minutes later so I did that and then got the same person again. They told me they would phone me back in a couple minutes it was 17 minutes later I supposedly got through to the manager but yet again it was the same person claiming to be new. He told me that I am only phoning up because I changed my mind and that I was lying. He told me that he took my order and that he made it. He started to call me darling and being pedantic telling me he can’t make 2 new pizzas because of the time. I waited over 2 hours for pizza just to not be able to eat it then have to wait more time to get what I actually ordered.

Ordered spicy spuds and a piece of chicken and only the chicken turned up no spuds! Couldn't be bothered to ring up to wait another 40 minutes for them to arrive. Pizza was OK though.

Said it was with the delivery driver for 20 minutes. Called stop bye and wasn't delivered for another 12 minutes. Food was cold on arrival. To the extent son has left most of his food as had turned greasy textured.

Chicken was burnt and no drink delivered with meal deal

Me and my best buds arrived at this location at 15:57 and was waiting for the scran. Once 4:00pm arrived(opening time on the front of the door). It is now 4:03pm and it still isn't open me and my mateys are rather disappointed and outraged and hungry. Overall good scran dead opening times.

Only thing I would say was there was not enough garlic mayo on the chicken kebab

I always order from stop by but now I will not order again after they changed the curry sauce to crappie packet sauce my food came with the curry sauce split open in the bag it took nearly 45 mins for the replacement to turn up and then the large spuds I paid for was more like an extra small, I will be down later for an explanation as to way the replacement spuds were such a small portion, I will not be ordering again which is a shame as it used to be really nice

Had to phone the shop just as well talked to a brick wall although the delivery driver apologised certainly not his fault. How they have the cheek to charge a service charge is beyond me.

The food was disgusting. The kebab meat was cheap plain it was horrible. The spicy potatoes tasted like the water is boiled dry in the pan they tasted burnt, I had to ring up and ask him to bring my salad out to being told that I didn’t pay for it when I ordered salad with my food because I wanted it separate. I did get it for free this time. Total waste off money

Food was okay but they put the wrong sauce on one of the burgers. We ordered it with chilli sauce and it came with garlic mayo which we don't really like.

Food lovely,but time management poor. Pre-ordered at 3pm for a requested delivery at 4.30pm. It arrived 25 minutes late which,I think with a one and a half hour advance notice,is not good. Requires improvement!

Absolutely delicious..... as usual!

Just went for Donner meat and chips which was £8. Got home and wow....dry, chewy old meat that taste of salt. The portion is not worth £8 either. Am really peed off tbh. Disgusting. Called the shop and the person who answered had a bad attitude and accused me of lying and then patronised me. He's also never had anyone complain apparently. Absolutely shocking!!!!

Unfortunately our order was mixed with another order so we got incorrect food. However Stop By rectified it shortly after we called them so thank you and great service.

Chips were like cardboard and the garlic bread more soggy bread with cheese. The chicken wrap was nice though.

Overall great food, beef burgers are a bit mushy though. Would order again.

By the time my food arrived it was cold. I spent nearly £20 on food that, if it had been on time, may have been nice… I guess I’ll never know.

the food arrived almost an hour early. the restaurant didn’t notify me when the food was on the way or arrived. the chips were cold and the garlic bread was burn and greasy. the burger was alright however had little hard chunks in and they forgot the sauce

Our delivery person was very polite and friendly. I called the shop because they had forgotten one item.. there wasn’t any drama and they apologised and had the missing Item delivered.. making it a large chips instead of a small for the inconvenience. Always very satisfied with my level of service. :)

All my deliveries seem to take a hour and a half to arrive which seems to be the norm these days, then the pizza and spuds were lukewarm at best and the chicken must have been refried numerous times, I order hoping it will improve....unfortunately it doesn't.

Normally great spuds and a decent burger, and relatively fast, so normally a 4 star, but today it’s taken 90 mins and counting…. Not happy… it’s a Wednesday! Update… finally arrived 1 hour 40 ish late, food was good, but shocking service…. If it’s mega busy, don’t accept the order or tell the customer so they can collect or not bother… and when they ring after an hour, don’t say it’s next out, and then 30+ mins later it’s still not there.

Lovely food only problem was, no cheese on chicken burger like I requested.

After being ill fir nearly a week i thought id treat myself. Waited 1 hour 34 mins Called in was told on way. 22 mins later it arrives cold, not even warm. Calls shop to complain was told to do in online where I ordered it from. Go online and told the shop won't issue a refund. I have escalated this further with Food Hub. Disgraceful service and disgusting standards. Will never buy from here again.

Very Tasty food, served at the right temperature. Hot food, stayed hot in the provided packaging. I Would recommend this restaurant.
