Subway in Southampton

Very rude staff they shouted at my friend for trying to eat her food while waiting for me “TAKE AWAY ONLY PLEASE” I went there this morning just before 5am and the food could only be served cold and the hashbrowns were crunchy and felt like they were still frozen, Do NOT recommend.

I'm aware this places convenience is that it's open 24/7, however the food my friends and I got was honestly a mess. 😭 There was no rush at 3AM, but the workers making my friends sandwich forgot to close it afterward and just wrapped it up, causing the paper to be covered on sauce from the inside. My sandwich was folded, but the worker had "sprayed" the garlic and herb sauce in a way that overflowed the sandwich (when the meat and lettuce ratio were barely anything) and managed to spray half the paper that's used to wrap the sandwich up. So my sandwich was basically drowned in sauce and lathered with some on the outside too. Disappointing honestly, but 🤷‍♂️

We been asking for toilet after spending 20£ and they are not allow to use the toilet after that they called people to fight with us and they called punjabi community people to fight with us after that police come and short it out I never goes back to this kind of any restaurant who don’t respect the customer

ads outside the store gave false hope. the sub i got ended up being squashed flatly by this dude who rushed to make my sandwich and even made the wrong order and didn't apologise. I ended up getting something i didnt want. i would not step into a subway store again

Nicely presented in a side road . The toilet was a total mess with graffiti on the doors .ok food and friendly service

Awful service! Ordered at half 6 and at 8pm it was saying it wouldn’t come till half 9. Couldn’t ring as the phone number was saying disconnected. My husband went to the shop to have the order handed over straight away and be told it was done around an hour ago but delivery driver didn’t turn up. No attempt to contact us and hot items were freezing cold by the time we got it.

Don’t ever order late didn’t get two of the items and completely wrong sub. The only thing they got right was the drink

Never order from these guys on Deliveroo. How can it take over an hour for them to make two subs? Unbelievably bad service, never ordering from them again.

It feels like a home when we come to this location. The staff is very cooperative and to be honest they are very familiar with each of their customer. The food is brilliant and the atmosphere is also enthusiastic 😃

Baguette was wet, spoke to “Handeep”, who shrugged it off and would not offer me a refund or even acknowledge me. Very rude and makes me not want to ever enter a subway again, very unprofessional and rude. This was the garlic slice apparently. Hakesh was a neighbour worker who was very friendly and spoke to us but could not sort a resolution.

TAKES ADVANTAGE OF DRUNK STUDENTS. Every time I have been in after a couple at the Spoons across the street I have ordered an Italian BMT (£7.79) but I am charged for the Notorious BMT (£8.95). Once I point out I'm being overcharged he tried to point at the board and explain what I ordered, I then remind him I ordered an Italian BMT, and he very reluctantly puts the price down to where it's supposed to be. This has happened 4 times now and every time he's done it, I've told him no and he's changed back down after realising his pathetic scam doesn't work on me. I know its not a lot of money but if he's doing this to all the drunk students, it's a scummy thing to do. Not sure if I should contact the Ombudsman about this or if they can do anything.

The vegetables were fresh, and the bread had a good texture. My turkey sub tasted as expected—simple and satisfying.

I ordered online but the sandwich was very bad and also some toppings were not there in the sandwich that i mentationed in the order and it fells like i eat only bread.

I placed the order today at 13:00 pm through just eat and I haven't received anything...I've been waiting for 2 hours and still waiting. I already paid and received confirmation.

Nice to know salad is soo damn expensive that you won't let people have salad on the normal sandwiches that used to let you choose your own salad and sauce... apparently the salad in Subway London Road is now only for display. I know won't really affect subway, but will never be using this one ever again, I hope the guy who was working at 9am 20th sep 2024 falls into a sinkhole

I ordered a BMT, not a ham and lettuce. If you don’t have the ingredients, maybe communicate with the customer.

The tuna submelt at Subway was a delight. The tuna was fresh and well-seasoned, perfectly complemented by melted cheese. The bread was soft yet crisp. Vegetables added a nice crunch, making each bite flavorful. Overall, a satisfying and tasty sandwich that I would highly recommend.

The quality of food was really disappointing; cold and with no flavour. It made me and my family sick. The service was horrible. You can't see any salt, paper or sauce anywhere. The sandwiches are served in your hand and not in a tray. I don’t think I ever want to try it in the future.

The rudest driver I've ever had to deal with, he went to a hotel on the road one other and blamed me for giving him the 'wrong' address. Proceeds to tell me he works round here and knows his way round ?

never got delivered had to go in shop pay for carpark and pick up order. waiting 1.30 tried phoning no answer. they kept saying driver has delivered. but I can ensure I didn't receive as I had to go and get it. I had a buisness lunch which didn't go well as lunch didn't turn up. the staff was much clueless and did not have a clue what to do l. can say wasn't impressed and will certainly not use them next time I have a lunch meeting.

The turkey breast was more like processed ham and not what I ordered or what I usually receive from Subway. Disappointed and didn’t enjoy it.

Driver has thermal bag open while cycling. cant read addresses properly and when he called would not listen to the clear instructions. Said this was the second time he's been here which makes him unable to learn and me an idiot for using the service twice

Visited on 11/02/2024 Efficient and unassuming service. This branch was surprisingly quiet, to my advantage! No major complaints - the food was on point (though by no means a cheap option for lunch in 2024). One minor comment - the interior looked a little outdated and could do with a facelift.

The best subway in Southampton. They always have something new and exciting. They have great meal deals with new series menu. The price for subs is affordable. Also appreciate their customer service, freshly baked bread. The restaurant is always clean and inviting.

What on earth are the local environmental health department doing?! This subway has been operating without customer toilets (which is a legal requiremnt) for well over a year, possible much, much longer. This is a complete embarrassment for both subway and Southampton City Council who clearly do not uphold THE LAW when it comes to food service venues. Totally unacceptable.

I have ordered 2 gluten free chicken tikka subs with salad, pickles, jalapeños, corn and peppers, and with cheese and lite mayo. I have received 2 cold subs with no mayo and cheese. I have not enjoyed my subs for sure. It was first time I have ordered from London Road Subway and it will be the last.

Meatball sub wasn’t toasted and sausages used for pigs in blankets weren’t that great. Otherwise good

Ordered a footlong meal. The price on the board and in the app was £9 odd and I had enough points for that. Went to pay and they said not enough points. I asked how much it was and was told £10.15! £9 is bad enough but over £10 for a sandwich meal!?! Asked why the board said less and was told because I convered to salad for extra 60p. I hadn't. The till didn't show that either. Rip off and the sub wasn't even that tasty with stale bread. Don't bother. Go to one of the many cheaper kebab houses that are around the place. I only went as wanted free points meal. Never again.

Subway melt is absolutely tasteless and cold. Advertised as a ‘melt’ yet given barely any cheese. Total rip off. Not given an option for salads or sauces which was a disappointment. Left with a half empty sandwich. Cheese bites were also cold as if they just took them out the fridge and put them in the box.

One of the sandwiches were made of old and rotten ingredients; so I had to throw it out.

Estimated delivery time was between 12:10 and 12:30. Our food actually arrived at 1:40pm. This was an hour and a half late, which is not acceptable.

This is the SECOND time I was overcharged in Subway London Road. By the same person. Be careful of this subway, he charges you for the full meal, even if you just order a solo sandwich. The first time, I didn't notice at first, and when I did, he told me there is no refund. Also refused to let me to speak to manager. I am writing an official complaint.

Well it is subway, there is nothing much else you can say about it. It is your best fast food option in terms of nutrition and balance diet. The price of subway is cheap and affordable with a foot long priced at only £7.50, which can feed even the big eaters.

I have been to this sub for two years. The food is great and especially morning server, Jult is so kind and bright. Always smiling and happy to help others. I will take breakfast everyday at this sub!

The breakfast sandwich was new on the menu (to me anyway) so I tried it and definitely noticed the poached eggs were freshly done that morning and obviously the bread, too so would order again. And still warm because of quick delivery 👍

They're doing a great deal at the moment where if you order a footlong sub and salad, you get food poisoning. It's clear that 'Eat Fresh' is just a suggestion for these guys instead of a slogan as the bread was stale and probably had been leftover from the day before and I was heaving hours afterward so god know what happens to the rest of the ingredients. May look tasty after a few drinks in the neighbouring areas and it's late opening time but probably not worth it in the long run, phone for a pizza when you get home. Avoid.

They didn’t give me my full order and when I phoned to speak to them they said a manager would call me back. No one called me back so when I called again they hung up on me! Happy to take my money but only give part of an order then ignore me! Wonder how many people they do this to!

1 hour for delivery. At a non-peak hour. I literally started walking towards the store and met the delivery guy midway. Went to the store, gave them a piece of my mind for not answering calls and being very rude.

Got overcharged, the staff didn't put my meal deal through, and then refused to pay me the difference even though it should have been a meal deal (they checked it and confirmed it should have been a meal deal but said the payment already gone through and there's nothing they can do)

Terrible staff. Shop was literally EMPTY and there’s 2 employees to make 1 sandwich take away. They made me wait 10 minutes to take my order and I got this all messed up. Plus, they don’t understand English. Lady was working with food and itching her hair all the time. Just gross! I won’t back.

The cheese was missing from both orders and they were toasted.....both were requested. Soggy half filled subways. Yuk.
