Grameen Spice in Southampton

This was not good, I won't be ordering from there again, the popperdoms were like oil not even fresh, had chicken tikka starter and mixed kebab, the chicken tikka didn't taste like it had been marinated in tikka both curry dishes didn't have any flavour at all, definitely won't be going to them again, I wouldn't give a recommendation to anyone

We order from Grameen spice all the time through Uber Eats. Never been disappointed, we have always had great service with quick delivery. Food tastes great and well priced.

I’ve never been let down by this place and it’s been my go-to for Indian food for years now. The food is always delicious and you get so much for your money. The deliveries are great with the drivers being polite every time.

Dreadful. I didn't receive the food until I had already cancelled it. I haven't tried it. it is still in the carrier bag that I received almost an hour late. I was told three time that it had been sent. I cooked chicken that was delicious.

At last fabulous food delivered piping hot and the best curry and sides we have had in a very long time. Delivery guy was super efficient and so very friendly making it an all round great experience. Egg Paratha you gotta try it , it’s a must and again a curry house that offers it around here unique 5stars plus will certainly be ordering again 🥳

I had an older delivery driver he went above and beyond he was so patient and kind even tho I didn’t give good instructions, and the food was piping hot, I had no cash but I would have given him the biggest tip ever I hope this man gets a pay rise he is a credit to your buisness he really did make my day

Just had ours delivered and I took one mouthful and binned it as it had weird taste, I ordered lamb biryani , the rice tasted weird the veg curry that comes with it had old potatoes in and had gone off , you could smell it , the onion bhajis tasted old and the samosas has no taste at all, the naan bread was the only thing edible … the rest I threw away what a waste of over £20 … won’t be using this restaurant again yuk

Food was very tasty and just how a Tikka Masala should be. Very highly recommended and worth the extra wait for delivery. Free can of drink and extra poppadom given too.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the best korma I've ever had! The food is always delicious and the delivery is great as the drivers are lovely and it's always hot when it arrives. The only problem I had was that I ordered a bottle of diet coke, but when I tried it, it tasted awful and then I noticed it was 2yrs out of date. We had to throw it away. This is the only issue I've had with these guys. The food is amazing!

Absolutely disgusting waited 2 hours for our food to be told 3 times when called it's on its way, for the food to never arrive. AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I now have children who are over hungry absolutely sickening so angry

This is the tastiest food in Southampton! I'd highly recommend Grameen Spice not only for the food, but also the service. The food always arrives hot, it's full of flavour and the drivers are all lovely.

I ordered a pretty standard order all of the items standard very bland and just a bit naff. I ordered pilau rice and although it looked like right, it tasted just like boiled rice and was dry. Even the poppadoms had no flavour to them and were like cardboard. My first time ordering from here and overall, pretty disappointing and would more than likely order from here again.

Always great here, great food, never a problem. Turned up a bit late occasionally, but I accept that. I ordered tonight at 6.38pm. Email said it would be here at 7.17pm. Nothing happened. Called at 7.38 pm, he said 5 minutes. Called again at 7.56, trying to explain that I’m getting picked up at 8.10pm, and wouldn’t have time to eat it! He said just left shop, ignored my issue, no apology. End call…..food still not here at 8.04 pm!! Ps, arrived 1 minutes after the post. Driver very apologetic. Moved my lift to half 8, will scoff it down as it’s bloody splendid grub 👍🏻

They didn’t put the boiled rice in the bag, they also gave us a regular coke instead of diet, which my diabetic friend couldn’t drink. Curry wasn’t bad.

The only issue I have is that every time I order from here they give me plain nalm bread when I ordered garlic

Ordered the chicken korma and it was beautiful and sweet, only downside it wasn’t very hot and the cheese naan was very hard. Overall, lovely food and will be ordering again.

I was disappointed that it took so long for us to get our food, but when it arrived it was delicious! The korma from here is the best I've ever had, so I'd highly recommend them! Other than the delivery, the was one problem with the food. I'd ordered a garlic naan and I received a plain one.

food was a little late due to driver struggling to find address. this alone wouldn't be a massive issue. However one of the dishes that was supposed to be a paneer tikka (vegetarian) was missing and in its place was a meat dish. the want realized until a vegetarian bit into the food which obviously was not good at all. the rest of the food was ok no issues and was still hot despite being late

Very good food, but delivery time really let them down, were over 30 minutes late, which was particularly annoying as we chose them as they had shortest ETA. Will try them again but another bad delivery will put us off.

Best curry house with top taste and flavours

Late, cold, tiny amount of meat in curry. Garlic naan was a plain one. Bith curries were tasteless. Not nice at all.

This will now be my go-to Indian takeaway! We ordered a vegetable korma with pilau rice, and it was the nicest korma we've ever had! Absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend these guys. The food is amazing, the service was great and the delivery driver was lovely. The price is good here, too. The only problem is that my bank balance is going to drop considerably now that I've found Grameen Spice, lol!

Used to order from Grameen before on the odd occasion which was only if we had problems with ordering elsewhere and always provided good quality food and service. However this time (my wife's Birthday meal treat) was very disappointed with a late cold delivery and definite difference in quality. Hardly any meat in the curries, sauces too thick, only enough salad/mint sauce for 1 starter and poppadoms smashed to pieces. Not good value at all for the price paid.

All was fine, however the rice was very salty.

A very friendly family-run business with great customer service. They are always super friendly and accommodating and usually throw in a few extras. It doesn't matter how much I spend, whether I order vegetable biriyani for myself or place a bigger order of speciality dishes, I'm treat the same. In fact last time I ordered just a biriyani and a chapati, and they threw in an extra chapati, yogurt, onions and salad for free! I highly recommend the special dishes, in particular Garlic Chilli Chicken, Lasuni Gosht and the Jaipuri Chicken.

starters couldn't eat as meat was awful. naan bread was over cooked and crispy !!!! naan bread should be soft not burnt. main meal was ok but had to heat it up as only Luke warm. waste of 30 quid. will not order from this place again.

Grameen Spice once again have served up a delicious curry! Highly recommend the balti 👍👍 Very kindly added extra onion bhajis as it was a collection order, great stuff!

Curry was nice but the poppadoms were stale, onion bhajis overcooked and left out and the naan was cold and also had clearly been left out

As I don't eat meat, it's really important to me that my meal is flavourful & delicious! It isn't always the case but I have found that when I order from GS, it's always so good! I'm a pensioner so can't afford to order in too often but when I do, GS is my first choice!! It's lovely! Thanks LB x

We've been ordering from here for nearly 2 years and never had any issues until recently! Our last recieved order from them was missing items and they sent another item instead of one we ordered without actually calling to let us know which is a real risk with allergies!! Ever since this they have accepted and then cancelled every order we've tried placing! Such a shame as they do a good curry and like i said, we've only ever had one issue in the 2yrs we've been ordering from them! Their loss tho eh!

Chicken tikka curry was lovely! Nice & fresh. Chips weren’t soggy so a bonus. Lamb tikka starter was a bit chewy but I half expected that. Thank you! Will defo order again. :)

Stay away stay away you don't even put meat in a keema naan it ain't a lot of meat that goes in to keema naan but to put none in there just RUN

35 minutes late! Called after 15 mins late and said it was on its way and had left, and then took further 20 minutes (only a 10 min journey). Wouldn’t let me put 35 mins late on the time above….

Ordered on the off chance, and so glad we did. Had mixed starter which was delicious, ordered sizling chicken with cheese, korma, and garlic chilli chicken, all were delicious, they arrived hot, also had rice, poppadoms which weren't greasy so top marks, also a naan bread which was massive, lovely fresh mango chutney. Honestly was really impressed.

Can't even stand the fact I have to give 1 star to just leave a review. My partner and I were really looking forward to ordering a late night curry to celebrate positive news and as they clearly advertise on a Sunday that they close at 11pm, it was the perfect opportunity to use this takeaway service. We have a particular favourite, Mango Chom Chom that we can only order at this takeaway which is local to us. We were only left disappointed and angry due to the fact they decided to close early at 10pm without updating or notifying on their website they are closing early!!! False advertisement and a real disappointment! I will never be ordering from this takeaway again which is a shame as we really did enjoy the food. Disgraceful!!!!!!
