I have been a regular visitor to this cafe over the years. It is effective in enabling young people with learning difficulties work experience, but I have noticed a drop in standards. When visiting today we found the bread in our sandwiches to be stale and the bacon had the texture of stiff leather which rendered it inedible. It is not somewhere that I shall patronise in future and cannot recommend it to others

Very disappointed there was no soup, no scones, no Greek salad. We ordered ploughman's for £8 each bit the meal was more like a child's portion we got half a white roll, half a handful of cheese, 3 slices of apple, a handful of salad, a pickled onion and about half a jar of sandwiche pickle (which took up most of the plate each). As it's at a garden centre and baker we thought we would have home made bread and pickled onions but everything was cheap and processed. It seemed like their main prerogative is making money as cheaply a possible

Awful breakfast, but thought we'd give it a try. The egg was like rubber, we took it back but it wasn't replaced. Sausages very chewy and bacon hard. I had a cheese scone and they must have microwaved it. Fine but it was too hot to eat and went hard. Complete waste of 16.00. Bad customer service.

Extremely disappointed - today I arrived at 3.10pm to order cake and drinks. My friend has very poor mobility and uses crutches so it had taken us both a long time to get in and out of the car any into the cafe. Closing time is advertised as 330. We were told that they were closed as they had 'sold out' (despite the counter being completely full of cakes and biscuits) that there was no-one there (!!) and that they had already cashed up, presumably therefore the decision had been taken to close at 3pm. My friend then had to struggle back to the car again to find an alternative that was still open. Completely wasted our time and made it impossible to visit somewhere else. Very poor customer service. You have lost two local and regular customers who would usually want to support you.

Excellent choice of cakes including gluten free options. This cafe is run to help people with learning disabilities and autism to gain work experience and confidence. The service was a bit slow but Henry serve us very well with a little help. There are signs advising you that the service may bit slow. The cake was delicious. Don’t be put off by previous comments.

We ordered a scone, cake (as no plain scones), and two coffees. Fairly quickly two coffees and cake arrived (no napkins, only 1 spoon, no smile) but no scone. We chased up the scone, were assured it was coming. Eventually, having finished coffees and cake, we had to ask for a refund for the non-appearing scone. Potentially good cafe let down by appalling service.

Called into Savages Garden centre for a coffee and sandwich while out for a walk. Tea shop was busy but not totally full. The guy serving did not give any indication that service would be a long wait. Ordered Bacon & egg sandwich and bacon roll with Tea. Tea took 10 mins to arrive, after 40 mins started to inquire where our food was, got no answer from server. After asking again 5 mins later got told 10 more mins. After 55 mins food arrived. The bacon was so over done it was properly cooked for the whole 55 mins. The sandwich was very soggy on the bottom and the roll was hard and appeared stale. This is a shame as I had hear food can be very nice here. But ours was not and the service sucks.

Been having breakfast here regularly for a couple of years now. It never disappoints. Staff are always very friendly even when very busy - which they often are. Despite recent price increase - like everywhere - it still offers great value. A very minor criticism, hash browns can be a bit stodgy.

Our first visit to a lovely under rated garden centre, the board says Savages, parking available, no gazebos up and we had previously had lunch at the National Trust property down the road so did not visit the cafe area, but the shop prices were good for that type of fresh produce...lovely cabbages and veg, fruit, super tasty strawberries, cards and gifts. Well priced garden ornaments, pretty selection of colours in polyanthus and some other great finds.

Myself and two other retired gentlemen try to meet once each week for an hour for, a cup of tea, coffee or hot chocolate depending on our tastes on the day. we vary our locations but are irregular regulars at Savages, in addition to a friendly group of ladies behind the counter there is always a selection of excellent cakes to whet the appetite. Add to that a farm shop and a garden centre it is always worth a visit.

Our first visit to Savages and Just the Job for a cold January Sunday morning elevenses. Nice warm room with delicious food and drinks. Way above the run of the mill garden centre cafe. We visited the small garden shop, gift shop and provisions areas. Small areas but neatly displayed products on sale with a real emphasise on quality and design. The visit ticked all the boxes for me, you won't be disappointed.

Popped in here for lunch on my way to a meeting. It was busy which I expected. But there were a couple of tables spare. Had hoped to get a late breakfast as I thought they did an all day breakfast but didn't seem to be on offer so I opted for halloumi panini and a juice. Very friendly service. About £8/9 for lunch, good value. It was OK. The panini nicely toasted but the filling very meagre, wafer thin halloumi a leaf or two of spinach and a pesto which I am now wondering whether that was veggie or not. But it was the side salad that was poor. Very wilted, brown on the edges and looked like it had been on the side for a few hours. Not great. Salad can be very dodgy if left in warm humid atmosphere (kitchen?) and I suffer from a very sensitive tummy. Didn't eat it and actually it spolit my lunch. Shame as I really support and admire the set up here. Didn't have time to raise it and shouldn't really have to. If someone leaves something on the plate do have a look to see if you can see why? Fresh, crisp salad makes all the difference. Disappointed.

This lovely tea room has been set up and run by Style Acre, a local charity supporting adults with learning disabilities by providing work experiences and skills development within the tea room. The tea room has been such a success and provides the best cakes around as well as a selection of paninis, wraps, jacket spuds and an interesting specials board. Also breakfast choices in the morning. It has become a regular meeting place for us friends and never fails to please. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is always freshly made to order. Sit in or outside, under cover or brave the elements! It's an added bonus that the tea room is situated in the grounds of Savages (family run garden centre) where you can buy fresh fruit and veg, have a bouquet of flowers made up and choose your plants for the garden with expert advice on hand.

Dropped in here for a coffee and food late morning. I had a very friendly welcome from several staff. I was too early for the lunch menu but still in time for breakfast/brunch. The menu offered a good veggie breakfast that came recommended by the young man on the till. Lovely smiley happy staff. Very attentive and plenty of them. A large Americano was brought to my table, thankyou. It was hot and good but not strong enough for me but I know my coffee tastes are a bit radical. I Wasn’t expecting too much from a pub dinner in a rather nondescript Oxfordshire village on a Tuesday evening but I was most pleasantly surprised. The pub is very old and as such cosy and inviting. There is a good selection of draught beer served at one of the fireside tables by most welcoming staff. The menu is varied and original and prices are reasonable. One of the specials of the day was sea bass. It was as good as any top London restaurant. The 45 minute drive was well worth it and I shall be returning soon.
