Very small portion for the price they charge...i suppose the small portion didnt really matter as it was un edible anyway! Cold, dry chips and horrible wet soggy batter. Sorry Stuarts you need to do better!!

Gorge Haddock and Chips and peas. Full of flavour and very tasty. Great customer service. Will certainly go back and highly recommended. Tea time take away treat. Thankyou v much.

Can never get the order right (always something missing!) Batter on fish always soggy and sticks to paper. Will not be going back

Server behind the counter forgot half of the stuff in the order which we were nevertheless charged for, while two pieces of fish in the order were beyond disgusting. While the other fish weren’t exactly amazing, they were at least white and tasted vaguely reminiscent of fish. The offending fish in question were a bizarre dirty pink colour underneath their soggy batter and tasted just dreadful. I have eaten tonnes of fried haddock over the course of my life and have thus far had the good fortune never to have encountered such a terrible specimen. The attached photo doesn’t really do justice to the spectacle. Please do avoid for the sake of your own health.

Had previous really good food from here but the last twice the fish was small,over cooked and very thin. No real size difference in a oap fish and a normal size. Tried a patty which tasted like it had been sat there far too long Very disappointing. Will be looking else where for our fish & chips

Small fish and chips was the size of a fish finger, fish and chips had no batter on as it was all soggy! The patties looked like they had been removed-fried and black in colour! All inedible! Shame, used to be nice.

Stuart's have only just opened following the lock down. They have nailed the social distancing issue. They have a strict "one in - one out" policy. The queue stretched a good way down the road, and owing to many large orders, it took a while to be served.The haddock and chips were excellent - as good as I've had anywhere, and what a treat after so long!

First visit to this take away having just moved into the area. Dreadful. Fish was overcooked and so dried up within the batter it was almost unrecognisable! Chips had no flavour and were tough on the outside. I threw it in the bin. If it were not that the country is experiencing such turbulent times I would have returned this offering and asked for my money back or a freshly cooked replacement. I will go back but would want to experience the qualityBefore I have to pay for it. Fish and chips is one of our national treasures this meal was shameful!Management you need to intervene and quickly.

The worst fish and chips with mushy peas I’ve had. The place has gone down hill. The whole batch and we bought 3 was soggy with oil not crispy and tasted awful. It’s a shame as they didn’t used to be like this. The papers was dripping with oil. Won’t be going back.

I have used Stuart’s, Lincoln Way, Beverley almost each week for some time. However, when I called on 14 November, as is usual on entering the shop I was asked if I wanted any fish to which I replied that I would like 2 haddock. There were two customers in front of me at the time. I noticed that there was a well and truly cremated fish in the warmer which was in there when I entered the shop. The first customer was served and left the shop. The gentleman in front gave the server his full order which included 2 haddock. Two haddock were taken out of the fryer and placed in the warmer and his order was completed. Another fish was placed in the warmer by the fryer. My turn and I gave the server my full order and I paid her £14. She proceeded to get my order ready and I was astounded to see that she was serving me the cremated fish at which time I said I’d rather not have that one as it hasn’t been fried for me. She put it back in the warmer and went and whispered something to the guy frying the fish and then came back and said I would have to wait for another fish to be cooked. Had I not paid for my order I would have told her to forget it. As I waited for my fish to be cooked, the server removed the cremated fish from the warmer and placed it somewhere at the back of the counter. I was in the fish & chip trade some years go and would have been extremely embarrassed to have even contemplated offering a fish of such inferior quality to any of my valued customers at the time. Needless to say I won’t be using this shop again.I’d rather give one of their competitors my business and hard earned money!Customers of this shop be vigilant what they are serving you!Stuart : If you don’t want to lose good customers, have a word with your staff at this shop about serving inferior food!

Called in for a normal and a small haddock and chips. Fryer didn't hear me properly and hadn't done a small. Instead of saying it was his mistake and offering the normal fish he had fried he decided to fry a small one. I then had to wait for the next customer to be served and as he had a very large order I was left waiting for another 10 minutes. Not good service. Could have been handled better.

The fish was really nice, however the batter was so greasy, by the time I'd eaten my fish I could feel a coating of batter on my lips! My girlfriend took her batter off and just went for the fish, which was to their credit, very nice and tender.

£18 for the smallest fish and chips 3 times I've ever seen....the man frying was ignorant and the so called haddock I asked for was definatley not haddock....that's fraud!!!! I ate the chips which were nice but as you can see from my photograph that is the small amount of fish which I had inside the batter. Totally disgusted and I would really like a full refund.

Reasonably priced and nicely packed .we had two haddocks and one portion of chips with 2 portions of mushy peas. Enjoyed the meal as every thing was freshly cooked

Nearly every Friday I have fish and chips from here. Either have mushy peas or their curry. If you're visiting or driving through Beverley, give this chippy a visit and try their fish and chips.

We are both huge foodies and love our food, especially a good fish and chips takeaway. Stuart's never fail to impress us with their fresh fish. Great service and we are proud regulars

Only went here last night as traffic was too busy to spend time driving across Beverley. Got home and I was short of one family members tea of Pattie and chips. Won't bother in future, there's plenty of other fish shops in Beverley to choose from.

I love Stuart's Fish and Chip shop, perfect for a good old Friday night after a busy week at work. Portion sizes are good, food is tasty, prices reasonable and the staff are friendly. Yum yum!! Xx

We stopped by to get something to eat during a long journey, arriving late in the evening, just a few minutes before they were about to close. I thought we would get the expected 'Sorry, we're just about to close' reaction. But fair play to them, he set to and cooked fresh fish for us without a grumble.

The two chaps serving us were really friendly. I ordered a combination of food for the family. All the food was great. All empty paper wrappings. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you

Passed this place on many occasions and we decided to stop and try their fish, chips and sausage. While good value for money the fish was small but tasty, the chips lacked taste and the sausage tasted very processed and fatty.

Excellent fish and chips that is good quality. Nice crispy batter and plenty of chips. Must admit that the prices take you by surprise, was expecting cheap prices in Yorkshire, not over £5 for regular sized fish and chips.

Estado fuera del país durante unos años y siempre me gusta volver a Reino Unido y han pescado y patatas fritas. El personal era amable y el servicio era rápido. Patatas fritas super, bonito pedazo de pescado y pasta para morirse. Incluso endulged en una salchicha maltratadas. Pedimos para llevar 6. Normalmente me gusta disfrutar otras personas las sobras, pero no es una chatarra fue dejado! Si estás en la zona es un deber.

Este es un "fish and chips" para visitar y muestra qué pescado mejor y patatas fritas en el norte de Inglaterra. Todo el pescado es cocinado a la orden y es una gran relación calidad-precio. El personal es amable. También puede por chip spice para llevar en un recipiente, algo que sólo encontrará en el área de beverley/Hull pero añade sabor a sus patatas fritas.

Siendo una especie de auto-profesos amantes de, y la auto-proclamado experto del pescado y patatas fritas, realmente humilde no recomiendo esta tienda. Una reciente visita a Hornsea tener revitalizado mi amor de pescado y patatas fritas pronto me di cuenta de por qué me había desertado a pizza o India en primer lugar. Tan decepcionante para obtener una pequeña, pescado seco, con el bateador todos atrapados para el papel. Así ordinaria, mirando el comentario en la limpieza, me parece injusto porque el lugar estaba impecable ayer. Aún así me hubiera gustado disfrutar de mi pescado y patatas fritas más!

Fish and chips were far too greasy making it very difficult to finish them. Batter was overly crispy but the chips were tasty enough.

Stuarts is a take away fish and chip shop. When it opened a couple of years ago, it was the best fish and chips in the region. Sad to say that over the last few months, the quality of the fish has deteriorated. What was once beautiful fresh haddock is now watery bland tasting which has all the hallmarks of being frozen and de-frosted just prior to cooking. The taste is different. We have tried the fish a couple of times over the past few months and it has not returned to its former excellent state so I'm afraid I will not be visiting again as it has shown no signs of improving. I'm sorry to have to write this way but unless the owners up their game with the fish quality, they will lose trade.

Visited this chippy in Norwood Beverley one tea time last week after a day out, had the oap special small haddock and chips not bad value at £3.90 but most places also include peas, curry or gravy with a special . Thought the price for medium haddock and regular chips was a bit high.

When I was in Beverley in 2011 I visited Stuart's on a weekly basis.Haddock and chips.The best I've had any where.

Used this fish and chip shop two weeks ago. The place was full of blue bottle flies. The young man behind the counter had blue paper towel inserted into one of his ears. He removed it twice to have a look and to show the other Gentleman behind the counter, who grimaced at the state of it.The young man then stamped on a fly that was on the floor then preceded to handle the paper bag that was to contain my fish and chips.At this point I asked for my money back....and was asked why?I was given my money back and left never to return
