We arranged a wake here for my father's funeral. It exceeded our expectations. Wonderful service and the food was delicious. Sympathetic and kind staff who were very accommodating. Thank you so much.

Friends took us to Strelley Hall for a birthday afternoon tea yesterday and it really was superb with a generous selection of sandwiches and delicious home baked cakes and scones with lots of clotted cream - all excellent, but the highlight being the delicious warm caramelised red onion and cheddar cheese quiche slice ---- so much so that I bought a full one to take home with me!! Not cheap, but you get what you pay for and excellent value for money. (I have portioned and frozen it and am going to try to make it last, but fear that I will fail!) Huge pat on the back for the lady working on reception who was very welcoming and informative when she realised that I was very interested in the history of the lovely building, another pat on the back for the gem of a waitress who could not have done more to make us feel welcome - lastly, thanks to all the staff in the Mulberry Cafe who were very helpful when I asked to buy the quiche - I actually received one still warm from the oven!! Hopefully, we will be back!!

My husband and I had Afternoon Tea today which was a Christmas gift from a very dear friend and we had a wonderful time. The Hall is beautiful, we were in the Panel Room which was warm and inviting and were immediately shown to our table upon arrival. We were served Elderflower fizz followed by the delightful 3 tier cake stand with a mixture of sandwiches, cakes and scones. Tea or coffee was offered at the same time. All items were beautiful, delicate and inviting and the lady who served us was most pleasant and accommodating, we were offered more tea or coffee later on at no extra charge. We couldn't have asked for more. There is plenty of free parking, the surroundings are beautiful and we would thoroughly recommend Afternoon Tea to all. Thank you Strelley Hall and our friend! 😊

Having visited the hall on several occasions, we decided on a Christmas get together in the hall for a cream tea. Bev our waitress for the day delivered excellent service throughout. Delicious elderflower bubbly served in flutes started off proceedings followed by a delightful three tier revolving silver stand containing tasty morsels both sweet & savoury. The mini quiches were particularly delicious. The sandwiches were freshly made, crusts cut off & lovely variety of fillings. Tea & coffee available throughout, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely to have a treat , & great to eat from a table beautifully presented with crisp white linen tablecloths & napkins. Bravo strelly hall.

Lovely surroundings, both in the historic Hall and the countryside around it. Lots of car parking. Service could have been better, but it was fairly soon after reopening after lockdown so they may have been new staff. Food was lovely though. Plenty of room between tables too.

We stopped off for lunch. I had a cheese and ham sandwich and latte to drink The drink arrived first and was simply hot milk. There was no or little coffee in it. The sandwich arrived much later the coffee long finished. The sandwich was very average being nothing more than bland fatty grated cheese on white bread with shop ham served with a salad. The salad was not bad but the sandwich was tasteless. Prices are not cheap. A bit of chutney would have been good, and a few crisps. Could do better.

We had a deluxe afternoon tea in the main hall. There was plenty of food for everyone, such as sandwiches, cakes and scones. The setting was lovely and we would definitely return. The service could have been better. We were not offered tea when we sat down, only prosecco was bought out. We had to flag down a waitress after 40 minutes since no one returned to the table, almost like she forgot us, the hall is small and we were the biggest table, so it was a little strange the lack of service. Other tables did have tea and drinks. She did return a number of times afterwards and checked if we needed more tea or drinks. I would have preferred an itemized receipt since I'm sure we were charged more than the additional cost of upgrading, only 4 out of 6 of us upgraded, when we worked it out it looked like all 6 were charged. We were offered an electronic digital receipt but the person who paid did not have an email address, which I think would be an issue with a lot of customers. I would return since the food was delicious, but the service is easily fixable.

This place has got a lot better! I visited a couple of years ago and was quite disappointed but today was excellent. Beautiful paninis followed by the chocolate fondue to share between 3 of us which was to die for. Staff were absolutely lovely and helpful and all in such a pretty setting. Will definitely come back.

Lived in Bingham nearly 5 years and have been in the lion a fair few times to watch football. This is the first time we've been in since it's been done up!!! Got to say that it's brilliant, atmosphere is good with both sides being full, the pool table is in a great position too. We ordered food for the first time too. The foot was excellent pub food and has certainly changed this pub from being just for sport to one where we won't just walk past again !!!! Great, well done on the change !!!!
