Stones Cafe & Bar in North Somerset

Went here for a private function in the afternoon and had a fantastic afternoon tea, great food and drink and friendly staff. Parking is available either on the road outside or a short walk away.

Being in town for just the morning I found this place after a Google search , it stands off the seafront road out on a breakwater. Parking is available outside on meters . I took "The Lifeboat breakfast" with a tea , great value at £12. I sat outside which was very pleasant with a great view of the front. Tea and breakfast came in an appropriate amount of time and was well prepared and presented on the plate. It was a great example of the English Breakfast Genre , I really enjoyed it. If you are in town in the summer do yourself a favour and pop along

A nice cafe, good food and lovely that dogs are made welcome. My only disappointment was the fact that my meal - a falafel wrap with salad and fries was served on the smallest slate - no room to put my fries out of the little basket they came in. I would have much rather had my food on a proper plate. I don’t know what the whole trend is these days about putting food on a piece of slate. It annoys me to be honest. Other than that, a lovely place to eat.

The ice cream was decent, but the service was extremely slow, even though we ordered it to go.

A lovely cafe that's dog friendly with friendly, helpful staff. The food was great especially the cake 😋 some parking out front that requires you to buy a ticket but definitely worth it 😀

Food is great and I understand them allowing dogs in but when a family comes in with 3 very smelly dogs it isn't acceptable for other none dog customers, trying to enjoy food with the smell of wet dirty dogs is not nice and we had to leave sooner than we wanted too because of thoughtless dog owners! So, sorry but only 1 star forvthus reason, it would of been 5.

Very good food,very fast and friendly service, friendly helpful staff,the only downside for us is the amount of dogs all over the restaurant,they do not have a specific dog area,so you may well get a visit at your table from a dog or two,other than we would highly recommend Stones

Lovely place to stop for a coffee after a nice Sunday morning walk on the seafront.

Very good prices, lovely inside and outside seating. All the staff are splendid. Dogs are welcome.

Really lovely spot for something to eat or drink. We love the coffee and enjoy sitting outside taking in the view of the beach.

Just had a lovely Americano in Stones with a gorgeous crispy bacon sandwich. Great service, friendly staff and I would highly recommenrd.

Very good food , enjoyable atmosphere.

We arrived just before closing time and had cake (carrot cake, scones and muffin), coffee and soft drinks. The staff was really friendly and everything was delicious.

Lovely cafe, food and drinks are always amazing, a lovely place to go. The staff are always friendly and the service is fab. Does get busy so just be aware of that if you're really hungry lol!

Called in here on a trip to Weston for breakfast and was delighted with the quality of the food and great prices. I had scrambled eggs with chorizo on sough dough toast which was delicious. Will definitely be heading here for breakfast next time I’m in Weston Super-Mare.

Best coffee on the seafront, easily!

Only had a couple of cool drinks. Mid morning. There was a 40 minute wait for food. A combination of first really nice weather and approaching mid day. Really busy and the staff were very pleasant in their tasks. It’s a great view of the pier and the bay

Google asked for a review update and it is still out go through cafe in town and is still - Always excellent food coffee and service. You may have a wait as all food is cooked freshly, which works best for me! As locals our go to place.

First class. The 'Lifeboat' breakfast was excellent. Quality ingredients and would highly recommend. Looking forward to a return visit.

Toasie is hardly filled waiter told me to get the menu to find out what was gulten free when it's not listed on the menu as i looked previously to asking. Annyoing to go get a menu when there was no need. I was told a list of gulten free options half was not relevant as I was unable to have a breakfast. But still told of breakfast options. When I couldnt have it due to it being 12.30. Toasties are very unappetising with little cheese hardly melted, very cold and sogy. Food was a wait 45+ mins. When both toasties were cold and not nice. - Stick with chips. Staff seem miserable.

We came here for breakfast. The best part are the views of sat outside. It is very busy. The food is fine but nothing special.

First time going here and would definitely be back very soon as it was a very nice place to go with my fiance.

Really good creamy scrambled eggs with chorizo I wanted something different I was using Coppa kettle over the Easter holidays they do a fantastic fry up with butchers sausages but it's too heavy every day so tried Stones Cafe the coffee is spectacular I always go for a black americano with a extra shot best coffee in ages.

Stones is SOOOOO good, we always come off the M5 on our way past Weston Super Mare just to visit. The Stones Burger is absolutely delicious. Great value for money too. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Only downside today were lots of barking dogs. Two were so bad another customer spoke with the owner, who did nothing.

Very local, friendly cafe. Staff are always happy to adjust and adapt meals if you have particular requirements. Food always lovely, reasonably priced and tastes hot and freshly made to order. Cafe has lovely views and is very dog friendly. Can be very busy there sometimes so sometimes is a delay on food waiting times but not an issue :)

Popped in for a light lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The environment was clean, the staff were friendly and the food was delicious. And best of all the coffee was served hot. Look forward to visiting again. Oh, and it is a dog friendly cafe which is a bonus. Fab.

Good quality food, nice and hot,, well priced,, they were busy so a bit of a wait,. but to be expected .. my only criticism is I'd drunk my tea long before the breakfast arrived

This restaurant has refused to rectify the incorrect order for breakfast. I ordered 2 eggs and I bacon, they brought 1 egg only. I told them, and although they said they would bring an extra egg, this did not arrive. My husband ordered toast which was left off and arrived 7 minutes after the hot food. I asked for complimentary drinks. They offered me 50pence for the missing egg. They failed to see the effect on the dining experience. They didn’t give me a manager to speak to , or a name to email either.

Best bacon bap I've ever tasted The bacon. Is tasty and there's plenty of it There's a bit of a wait, but we'll worth it.

Lovely little cafe, perfect for breakfast or lunch. Outdoor seating for summer looks brilliant. We had the big breakfast which was huge! Plenty of food to fuel your day. Would definitely recommend

WOW! Was recommended this gorgeous cafe by our hotel staff as our chef wasnt there to prepare breakfast! Very welcoming staff and very friendly! Ordered the Lifeboat breakfast as we were both (what i thought were starving) Oooh boy...unless you have hollow boots on dont...its massive, but i add EXTREMELY good value for £!! This is a very friendly dog welcoming place so expect to see a few 4 legged friends 🥹😌

We hired stone as a group of about 30 people for a family party. We went for the buffet option and were so pleased we did. Plenty of hot fresh food and it was all delicious. The people in our party that were vegan were well catered for too. There was a speaker set up for us to play our music. The Staff were attentive and kind particularly with out little boy. They got him toys and even an icecream. Thanks Stones team for a memorable family get together.

I love this cafe, fab location, we come here 3-4 times a week, everyone is friendly BUT there is one assistant who is very stern … a short lady with glasses, she doesn’t look very approachable at all & always looks miserable, for customer service this isn’t nice .especially when we are regulars.

Now THIS is breakfast! After the disappointment yesterday at Brean Down, this has certainly made up for it! 🥰 Dog friendly, sausages available for him with no quibble too AND the water bowl outside for dogs had CLEAN water in it!

Great location, facility, service and food. Really excellent value on the waterfront and very popular with local WSM residents which tells you a lot. Definitely dog friendly as an added bonus.

Omgoodness…. We hired Stones for our 40th wedding anniversary evening party. What an absolutely amazing place. From the moment we booked to the evening itself we were made to feel so welcome and our party went without a hitch. The owner and staff are a credit to the place, so helpful, professional and friendly. The food (we had a buffet and food station) was absolutely amazing and every guest commented likewise. I would highly recommend Stones to everyone and would gladly hire it for future events. Thank you for a lovely evening and keep doing what you do. This is going to be our new regular haunt.

Visited with a friend for afternoon tea on a miserable, drizzly Tuesday afternoon (the day after August Bank Holiday) at 15:50. Greeted by what I presume was the proprietor with a caution that the place was closing in 5-minutes and we were offered take-away service only (i.e. no "good afternoon, what would you like?"). Other guests were seated, eating and drinking. The weather conditions made the take-away offer unattractive, so we walked out. Neither my friend or I will recommend this cafe unless there is an improvement of the management attitude towards customer service and, I suggest, reconsideration of the closing time.

Friendly staff, good food with reasonable price, at seaside. Highly Recommended.

Stopped by for a sandwich lunch with a friend while staying in Weston, and it was good enough to return a couple of days later for lunch again. Sandwiches were really tasty and generously filled, as were the wraps. Amazing location with the views. The wait time for food was 20/30 mins each time however this is very clearly advertised on the bar before ordering so wasn’t a problem. Gluten free options were well catered for too.

Food & coffee always great Food cooked fresh. Love their cappuccino Awesome staff. Took my cat today, was a bit nervous of people staring at us - but we had the most amazing welcome & they even gave him chicken breast. Not the 1st time I’ve been treated so well here ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best place in Weston

Great coffee, service and situation

Good food, great location with welcoming staff. Well worth a viset.

Went for breakfast with my child. Was told food would be 20-30mins. 40mins later our food arrived. Had stacked waffles and bacon so not sure why it took so long, they were probably only half full. Waffles were served on small plates so the food was falling off it whilst trying to cut it. Proper maple syrup isn't sweet and should balance out the sweetness of the waffles and the saltiness of the bacon, this wasn't proper maple syrup so with the waffles it was very sickly sweet. Child needed toilet before we had decided we had done with our food so quickly popped there. Were gone less than 2mins, came back and they had already cleared our table away so that decided for us. Coffee didn't taste very nice either but that's my personal opinion. Would not go back unfortunately.

Listed on here on gmaps as closing at 4m. We were there at 3.26 today and they turned us and another anyway as they were closing (they had just finished putting all the tables and chairs away outside on a nice sunny day) Must not need or want the business. #falseAdvertising

Didn’t get to try the food as ordered a kids breakfast & a small 6 item breakfast! Waited 45 minutes with 2 children under 2 years old before questioned where the food was, the lady came back and said it’s going to be another 10 mins. 55 mins for 2 small breakfast is not acceptable without any warning of a long wait! Ended up wasting our morning and not even an apology!

Best place in Weston for a breakfast and coffee. Love the fact you can decide what items you would like on your breakfast. They really do make the best oat milk latte! Great service too :)

We dropped in for breakfast and what can I say! Definitely the best place around for a full cooked breakfast! Staff were absolutely fantastic, great customer service, the place was immaculate and the pricing was great! Would recommend to anyone for a visit even if ita just coffee or an ice cream!

Great food, great service, but spoiled by the number of people smoking under the outside eating area.

The food here is amazing! And reasonably priced too. With great views of the beach!
