Sticks'n'Sushi Kingston in Kingston upon Thames

Absolutely 10/10. Cannot fault the food, service or ambiance definitely coming here again. The staff were engaged abd it was the best selection of dishes I have had in any UK sushi restaurant. Some great new flavours and combinations.

Dinner here is not cheap. But like a West End show that pulls together lots of talent, it's worth paying for the experience. The food is exceptional, the service quick and attentive, the ambience restful. Save it for a special occasion. Or just go anyway, dammit. It's among my favourite nights out, anywhere, of the past few years

I was there last Tuesday, and everything was amazing… Alex provided excellent service and explained the menu to us in an incredible way, her recommendations were the best and she took care of us the whole time. I would definitely go back… delicious food and amazing service

Brilliant menu, inspiring view of staff preparing food, unstoppable service, relaxed environment and on a hot summer day nice combination of selection of drinks and Sushi. Hot flannel towels to clean hands. Had forgotten what Sushi restaurants are all about, enjoying plates of sushi till full.

Really tasty sushi. We had the ‘perfect day’ for 2 and really was perfect. Enjoyed my Purple Rain cocktail as well. Service very slick and friendly.

Came here to celebrate my graduation from university and was absolutely blown away. It was all of our first time here and our server Morray was amazing at helping us decide what to get and the correct amount. She knew the menu perfectly and was so welcoming. Thanks for a great evening Morray!

This was my first visit ( with a half-Japanese friend) for lunch and it was very impressive. The staff were very swift and efficient and very knowledgeable in their descriptions of the food. They were friendly, polite and smiling ( which is rare these days!) . The food was excellent - fresh and beautifully seasoned. The dessert Wimbledon was a lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

I was shocked with how lovely an environment this was. After being let down somewhere nearby we’re looking for somewhere to eat and spotted it. The food was lovely, best sushi I’ve tried. I will say check what’s in the drinks because the purple rain defiantly wasn’t purple rain. It was the only thing that let me down but we got two platters. Carpe diem was an absolute favourite for everyone and I can’t wait to come back.

Visited for lunch over the Bank Holiday weekend with my wife and two daughters. As it was Japanese Children's Day, we were given various things for our youngest to entertain herself with, and their meals were free too! However, that was definite cherry on the top stuff - the experience was fantastic. Good sushi is rare in the UK, particularly at a decent price point. This was really impressive - the food was authentic and excellent - well presented and delicious. The menu was a little overwhelming BUT the service was so good that it wasn't an issue in the slightest. I've honestly travelled as far as Brazil (and then inland!) to experience good sushi, and this was up there with the best. It's rare to feel there wasn't a single step put wrong by a restaurant - but SnS achieved that accolade. The manager and company should be very proud of what they've achieved and of their team.

My daughter asked me to take her to this restaurant as a treat after school and so we arrived around 5pm for an early supper/snack..The welcome was indifferent and we were asked if we had a reservation when the place was quite clearly nearly empty.we were seated and looked at the menu.As someone who has travelled many times to Japan and has eaten Japanese food for much of my life,i can say the food illustrated in the menu looked very nice.We ordered the maki dish for two,one miso soup and a beer.Our waiter was relatively indifferent and unfriendly.Our order arrived and looked very good.There were 4 types of Maki roll and although they were good,3 of the types were similar in taste,the 4th one,a cerviche,was the only one that stood out. Our bill arrived and at £70 was imo overpriced and we both left feeling rather hungry and disappointed.The 'optional' service charge was already added to the bill which is something i don't like. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you have more money than sense or have something to eat before you arrive.

Avoid at all, the WORST dinning experience, and we didn't even eat. Poor, poor service and rude staff. After standing seeming ultimately invisible, after a long while we was asked if we had reservations. Now being seated by the manger, we was then told this table is was promised to a new walk in. As a couple of colour I can only put it down to racial profiling. It really discourages and disgust me, I've manged to fight depression all my life, and still feel downtrodden so easily. Systematically I have to speak up, it's so shocking we have this treatment. With my level of success and wealth, I'm so easily judged. I live in a 1.6 million pound in west London Chiswick. One of the most affluent areas in London, and after all my accplishmenst and accolades, we have biggots working on 10.50 a hour.

A very extensive range of options with several sharing platter choices which is ideal for groups. Wine list very good too. We eat sushi a lot and the quality of the food is up there with the very best. Incredibly well done. The dining room itself is nice too and the staff are very friendly and professional. A tick across the board. Perfect.

A last minute booking for 9 people to celebrate my nephew’s 18th birthday these guys were so kind moving things around to accommodate us. The food was delicious - sushi & sticks and especially the puddings. Our waitress was really helpful suggesting what and how much to order for our diverse age group. And they put a birthday candle in an ice cream without being asked! Thank you so much!

We booked weeks in advance to celebrate my Birthday. As a family we were looking forward to trying out the Kingston branch having been regulars at the other S&S restaurants. We were offered a seat bang in front of the door and it was very cold for my son .. they refused to change this . Tables around us were given a hot towel prior to their meal ex rot us.We ordered and the food was very average with very little fish in the sushi. Finally even after my husband asked for them to make note of my birthday and help celebrate with a small pudding this was not entertained. For a premium restaurant I expect the manager and team to be a bit more considerate and attentive. Will certainly not be returning. Do yourself a favour and go to the Wimbledon branch if you want a pleasant experience.

Absolutely lovely restaurant. Went with my mum on my birthday and the staff were incredibly friendly and the food was very tasty with speedy service. Would thoroughly reccommend!

This was my first time to a Sushi restaurant. Georgina waited our table and was so very helpful and welcoming. She was able to explain about everything on the menu so well to us. Georgina made our evening such a fantasic experience, thank you for all your help, we were so glad it was you that came to our table with your bubbly personality.

Our first visit to sticks n sushi kingston was a delight. The food was freshly prepared with excellent ingredients and presentation was undeniably Japanese. Authentic! The ambience was good without loud music. However, there should be a dedicated “family with young kids section”. Conner was eager to explain the menu and was cheerful and attentive. Will defo dine there again.

First visit to Sticks and Sushi . Went on a Tuesday evening and there was a really good atmosphere. It was busy but staff and service was excellent. What an interesting combination of Danish and Japanese food. children’s Bento box was a great success. We loved the grilled edamame and the tuna tartare bites. The Sushi Sister selection was great for sharing. Our server Dayana was very helpful with menu selections. We will definitely return and this is definitely a good addition to restaurants in Kingston. Decor modern but inviting.No loud music.

I’ve always loved Sticks n Sushi and the new restaurant does not disappoint! Delicious food, generous portions and great service. A special thank you to Conor who looked after us so well.

Tried it for the first time. Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely décor and the food was amazing. We were served by Magda B who gave us some great advice and especially ordering the Goma Dessert which was like nothing I have ever tasted before. Definitely will be going back

This beautifully decorated restaurant was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food is spectacular and the staff were friendly and attentive. Within half an hour of being seated the restaurant was packed but you couldn’t tell unless you were looking around the room. The service remained super-quick and the decor dampened the sound so you couldn’t hear the other patrons as much as you’d expect given the capacity. A wonderful lunch from beginning to end. Can’t recommend it enough! Thank you so much.

What a fantastic addition to Kingston. This will give the flailing Yo sushi a run for it's money. Actually there is NO comparison. Stick and Sushi is miles ahead! The interior is sophisticated and the food is amazing. Lunchtime on a Wednesday and it was...

Our first time ever to a Sticks’n’Sushi. It was their first official business day and we went for a birthday dinner. We received a warm welcome from the staff and they offered us to sit upstairs. Nice decor and they have a nice bar area....

Great meal at the new restaurant in Kingston. The food and staff were fantastic and it’s a lovely restaurant. Will definitely be back
