Enjoyed Stewarts apart from customers and staff vaping inside the bar. Great prices during happy hour. The glass collector never stopped working, he was great.

We have been going into Stewart’s for over 10 years and just recently have realised it’s not what it used to be. Firstly the staff are very unfriendly unless you are a local and at times very rude again unless your a local. Jamie the glass collector is an exception as he’s always friendly. The door staff seem to have one rule for holidaymakers/caravan owners and another for the locals. Locals can get very rowdy at times but nothing is said yet other people are penalised for doing the same. Only a few weekends ago I witnessed a couple of young couples have fun when they whistled which left them being handed a plastic glass for their drink and asked to leave. Appalling! The locals do far worse. That pool table needs to go as the locals hog it and hustle other which causes a lot of trouble. Karaoke on Fridays is so dated now. Same people singing the same songs with the same guy running it. Spice it up a little. The acts are also dated and just sound like dated club singers when there is so many more out there. What about having a proper DJ once in a while. People going across the road back and forth isn’t great either and would be better if this was stopped. Again the locals save each other seats in both establishments and flit between the two. Drugs need to be stamped out too. My husband was in the toilet a few weeks ago when two men came out of a cubicle together doesn’t take a genius to know what they were doing. There is always some sort of trouble at least once a week here and when Paul & Lorraine had it you never saw any. The place has no atmosphere whatsoever. Half the problem is those sitting all day on £2 per pint. Please please please do something to put Stewart’s back to being good.

Call it a family bar. My daughter got told she couldn't sing on the karaoke because she wasn't 16. Fair enough toddlers not being able to sing but to b over the age of 16 wot a joke

Been going to Happy Days for 17 years now I have been fortunate to own a caravan but now we rent. Even thou Stewart’s hasn’t been there for long my Mrs finally dragged me in there and it so happens it was Karaoke night on the Friday and a singer Saturday both were very good nights. Had a fantastic time in there really friendly atmosphere and the decor was lovely and modern. Perhaps the club could take a leaf out of its book and get a makeover to look more chic and modern. Wish it was open later thou.

Very cliquy place felt unwelcome, came for a drink with the family . The staff were all slumped over the bar talking with regulars. I wouldn’t go back.

Used to be a lovely pub with great staff. Now the polar opposite, rude bar staff, incompetent management, owners don’t seem to be interested. The one positive was the glass collector. He was a very nice chap, believe his name was Jamie but not quite sure. Staff seem to have changed since last season which is a massive shame as the staff from last season were lovely. With many other pubs in the area, this one needs to be careful as they could quite easily lose the custom. Wouldn’t recommend!

We visited Stewarts bar the first week of May after having such a pleasant time in there on our holiday last year. We were shocked to see so much has changed in just under a year! Although there was ample signage of Covid rules and regulations and a fair amount of outdoor seating we were shocked to see the sheer disregard towards any of the regulations. Majority of tables were overcrowded with more than 6 people huddled around them, some staff members were removing there masks to speak to customers, customers were even going indoors to order and obtain their drinks when not getting served despite the fact that it should be outdoor/table service their excuse was ‘we are still using the one way system’ and could be heard joking about it amongst their tables. I was so shocked to see the utter carnage around us, we gave our initial impression the benefit of the doubt and found a quieter area down the side of the bar towards the car park area and waited patiently to be served. We understand that wait times are longer in these troubling times so waiting that bit extra didn’t bother us in the slightest after all we was not prepared to be like the others and go indoors to get served. When a bartender approached us we found her attitude extremely unpleasant and unprofessional, no ‘hello’ no ‘can I take your order?’ all we got was a straight faced ‘want a drink?’ a few huffs and puffs when placing our order, and an ‘I’ll try not to be too long, can’t promise you won’t be waiting though’ we also enquired about filling in a track and trace form as we were unable to use the QR code and we got told we didn’t have to do it if we didn’t want to, myself and my partner were shocked! We quickly drank our drinks and headed elsewhere. It appears that the caring, attentive, approachable staff from last year have all been replaced with careless, rude and unprofessional beings! Perhaps it is the current situation that is having a negative impact, or the lack of customer service trained individuals, we do hope the place improves as this was our favourite place to drink last year but we will not be visiting again during ‘Covid times’ as we just did not feel safe!

We visited yesterday Sat 24th April and due to the current regulations it was outdoor only. It was busy but we managed to get a seat across the road on the happy days site (which Stewart’s bar is using while it’s shut). Some staff could do with some customer service training as their general attitude to customers is appalling, particularly the blonde haired lady behind the bar. It seemed every order was just so much trouble for her and the way she speaks to customers is shocking. This observation was a talking point across the tables outside so it clearly wasn’t just us that noticed it.

Stewerts bar you have totally cracked it. Been to the bar this weekend they have all covid 19 regulations in place but still managed to keep a friendly pub atmosphere. Thank you and we will be coming back soon.🙂😘

Great new bar been open about a year, great no dogs are allowed in. Took some time to serve though, staff a little pre occupied with the regulerd sitting around the bar, making it tricky to get served.

Can’t recommend this bar highly enough. Newly refurbished to a classy and high standard. Beautiful seating and design. The staff are attentive and extremely friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. They have an extensive range of drinks inc a gin corner. Regular entertainment inc karaoke and live music of varied genres. Suits so many age groups. Can honestly say every visit has been a fantastic experience. If you want a comfortable, clean and great atmosphere you will thoroughly enjoy Stewart’s Bar. 😃🍺🍸🥂🍾🥃🎤🎼

The refurbishment is good and taking away the partitions has opened it up massively. However, toilets are disappointing and not changed at all. Sadly do not serve food anymore as well as No Dogs policy which is also sad. Staff need to be more friendly and better trained especially with the different gins. Also staff need to be more attentive i.e. tidying tables, resetting chairs and tables, glass collecting. The entertainment is old fashioned and doesn’t go with the decor. Need more modern acts/singers. Staff need to stop standing around chatting to friends as doesn’t look good. Since reopening the places is uninviting, very clicky and has no atmosphere.

very clean and new in the bar they have stopped doing food the beer is good no sky or wi-fi yet he said he was having them in soon

Just had a very reasonably priced pint with hubby.. pub has been refurbished to a high standard, except loos...toilet didnt flush and hand dryer didnt work..however, the guy behind bar was very friendly and welcoming..I would definitely go back for this point alone..

As a group of 4 adults and 2 children we ate here on Saturday afternoon. Staff were really polite and helpful and the food was amazing. We couldn't fault a thing. Generous portion sizes and made fresh. All the food came out at the same time. This will be a regular eatery for us! Nice to see a place that takes great pride in their food and service

we tried this place for the first time, the wait for the food was very long nearly 30 minutes and it was quite empty, when the food arrived it was very good, well prepared and very tasty, pity about the long wait, especially having young children.

Went in this bar Saturday and Sunday night . Staff are polite and friendly entertainment was fab a singer and karaoke both nights . The lady who did karaoke on Sunday was a laugh . We would definitely return

this used to be a good pub the happy hour is 1-4pm on selected drinks we were there at 2-30pm and charged £6-85 for a wine and Tetley which was vile but the good news is the food is still great

We arrived at this place early there were still serving breakfast but they're musted of thought we arrived early for holiday or just leaving (we was leaving Skegness area but needed a place to eat before traveling home) they let us have the meal early as we where meant to order food at 1 pm but it was about 12:30pm or a bit earlier.

Have come here for the past 4 years can’t moan about the food all well cooked.decent staff and a good pint 🍻 price not bad for dessert 🍮 try it worth a visit

Came to stewarts for a meal before going out with friends food was amazing and so was the atmosphere the big bald barman is hilarious so much so we stayed till it shut anyway 2 of my friends had the mixed grill cooked to just the way they asked my boyf had hunters chicken and i had the mediteranian chicken got to say its the best ive had we know where to go now for a decent meal and good night

Called in for an all you can eat breakfast, and wasn't disappointed at all. Cooked to perfection & only cost us £18 for two breakfasts & 2 large drinks. Bargain!

1st review few years ago didn't do place justice that was my 1st experience now we go regular very welcoming nice go in be greeted like to every day year nice drink carvery to die for & dog friendly good enough in itself not made sit out when cold love serve strawberry cider on draught too don't drink often but enjoy occasionally any issue rectified at time we be going again soon can't wait .

Came here on Saturday night for the first time whilst away in chapel st learnards it’s good value for money and the food was hot and nice.

We ate here 5 nights out of 7, it was delicious every time. My granddaughter had the huge mixed grill and loved it. My great niece had the monster burger and ate most of it. We had a wonderful time every night, there is entertainment on most nights through the season, including a funny barman.

So as we visit Chapel for the 2nd year running. Just been to Stewarts bar for dinner which we took back to caravan if I start with food I think it has just got better and great value for money. Both me and my wife...

What a mistake. We ordered 2 Adult meals. One Kids meal. I never eat mine. It was horrible. I did not like the atmosphere. Pub was horrible. Would not return. Would recommend Pub over road. !

El 3 carnes eran suaves y encantadoras. Tenía más de ocho vegetales para elegir y todos estaban calientes. Cuando fuimos para la comida, el personal era muy amable y nos reirse y bromear con ellos. We came here 4 times whilst staying in Chapel with our grandchildren. The food was consistently good and the children's menu excellent. Will certainly be back next time we are in Chapel.

Called in here over Easter whilst staying at our caravan down the road and ordered a burger at lunchtime. What arrived at the table looked like it had been thrown at the plate and was absolutely dripping with grease. The meat can only be described as 'mystery meat'.Waitress didn't seem interested when I commented and certainly didn't offer to change it, to be honest looking at the other food that was coming out of the kitchen I wouldn't have wanted anything else anyway. All poorly presented and swimming in oil.I used the loos before I left and I doubt they'd been cleaned for a week either! I'll be giving it a wide birth in future...

We visited Stewart's a few times during our stay. The first night we went in we had a meal-two burger meals and a kids meal. All meals were well priced and took a very reasonable time to arrive. Food was hot and nicely presented on plates. Couldn't fault it. We went in again a couple of nights later just for drinks as we'd already eaten at Butlins. It was Karaoke night and the place had a great atmosphere. The pub is very well laid out, therefore it's big enough for those who don't want to participate, to sit elsewhere without feeling isolated. Staff are extremely friendly and courteous, and, as a child and dog friendly pub, everyone was made to feel welcome.

great value food, fantastic helpful staff ,sometimes great entertainment as well ,saw a comedian /drag artist their last year just so funny almost wet ourselves ,hope to see him this year.Never tried breakfast looks good but as it starts 11.00 its a bit late even on holiday.But staff here so friendly.

If your on a budget then this place is for you.You can get 2 main meals for £10, plenty on plates for big eaters.Highly recommend

went here at 6 0'clock on a Sunday night early September to be told by a member of staff they where shutting as not busy and that was the norm for the rest of the week 6 weeks later and it seems they are only opening for there end of season party what a waste of time how do they exepect to get customers if they close when they feel like it they should at least have displayed when they might be opening as i said forget it cant comment on food as it was never opened when i went for some

Had scampi chips n peas omg plenty of scampi and was all cooked well quick service very friendly and on the hottest day in September the shaded outdoor are was brilliant

We visited Stewarts bar for our sunday carvery and it was amazing. My son has food allergies so cant have anything on the carvery so they specially made him some chips. The staff are friendly and great woth kids we had 8 with us and the staff made us feel welcome we will defiantly go back!

the breakfast is great value, they put 2 slices of bacon,1 egg and mushrooms on your plate, then you put on everything else and they have not missed a thing including toast and jam £4-95 the lot you have to pay for your drink,the allday meals are also good,the beer £2-00 till 7pm

I visited this place with my family and friends as one of the local places to eat had ran out of food. Because of this it was very busy so had to wait about an hour, but it was worth it, the food was excellent. The staff were brilliant and very professional. I would defiantly return and recommend to anyone in Chapel.

The breakfast here is not to be missed, we had breakfast here for two days. The bar opens at 11am once you have a breakfast here you won't need anything else to eat until about 7pm onwards. You have bacon, mushrooms, fried egg, scrambled egg, sausage, beans, tomatoes, hash brown and fried toast, you then have a choice of jam or marmalade to go with your toast, two options of brown or white bread. Sunday carvery is also lovely from here plenty of choice. The hosts here are a lovely couple and make you feel welcome. We will be back again for breakfast.

Arrived here with the family for a birthday meal. One of our party had a burger which was the same as a burger van burger that you find at a car boot sale. The lasagne was very poor. The only reason it got a 3 was because the birthday girl and partner enjoyed their meals. We will not be eating here again . There's also a charge for paying by card instead of cash.

Can't comment on the food as we called in last night at 7 pm looking forward to a meal, Unfortunately the bar man said NO FOOD AVAILABLE.Apparently the kitchen staff finished early as not busy !!Come on, this is a Sunday night,Your having a laughWon't be visiting again.

Went here for the all you can eat breakfast today. Really nice & everything was well cooked. Stewart (I assume) was very helpful & quite a comedian! Best on trunch lane. Will Deffo be there again. 10/10

You serve food till 9pm you coffee board outside ran out milk? I'd had black next night board out not doing coffee you wasn't rushed off your feet I'm diabetic I've medical condition I not allowed cold drinks at night you false advertising that you have board out selling a produce, I've ran pubs hard you had no milk or cream!!

We went here on a Saturday night and had steak which was good so we decided on doing the carvery on Sunday. This come in 3 sizes sml med and large. We will had large which was very filling. We will be back

Good value for money food, the burgers are lovely. Helpful, friendly staff and the drink prices are cheap.

Ordered meal and told it was a 25 minute wait , more than happy to wait for a fresh meal . After 1 hour and the food not arriving ( plus 2 very hungry children ) I went up to ask where our meal was , WE HAD BEEN FORGOTTEN , there solution to this was to offer us our money back with NO FOOD . or wait 10 minutes for food , we agreed to wait 10 minutes , after another 20 minutes our food arrived . At this point i expected the management to come and apologise but no one came , the waiter said if i would like pudding to order with him and he will get them quick , which is when i suggest a free pudding , he went to speak to the management and came back with you can have a free scoop of ice cream ( 50p a scoop ) because they are running low on other puddings at this point i told them to shove it and left the pub. I will not be returning on my next holiday

This is a great place we visited with friends and we all had a good time here we went in at around 18.30 ish and walked ( rolled) out at 01.00 after enjoying and participating in the karaoke beer was good price will definitely return and recommend this bar to family and friends

Got amazing service all the way through. Our waiter was extremely helpful and did what we asked of him. As mentioned in the other reviews the time taken was lengthy, not just for the main meal but the dessert as well. I had the 1/2ib burglar and I found it was of average quality. I would also like to mention as my last point it is more of a 3.5 out of 5 because it was a good atmosphere and okay.Have a great holiday!

While on a short break in skegness my cousin lost his wallet, he retract his steps which brought him back to Stewart, not expecting much he asked the bartender if a wallet had been handed in without hesitation the bartender handed him his wallet back nothing had been touched a very rare thing this day and age as well as honest bartenders the food is very good and the pints are cheap need I say more 5 stars I will return.

Thought we would try this place as we heard the kitchen was under new management. Stunning service, friendly staff & a great menu. Order was taken & although we had to wait almost 40 mins for our 5 meals to come out - it was packed so it was understandable - the staff were very polite & kept us informed to how things were progressing. The wait was well worth it as all our meals were cooked to perfection & tasted great. Keep up the good work guys - we will be back soon

Tried this place last saturday after being recommended.Food was lovely, very resonable priced and plenty to choose from for us and our 3 boys.Now under new management according to the bar man. We enjoyed a lovely walk back along the beach to ingoldmells afterwards (to burn off my delicious cheesecake pudding)Would return again for sure.

We recently chose to eat at Stewarts & try their Carvery we were a party of six two Adults & kids aged 15, 8, 6 & 3. We were able to get a seat straight away & we ordered food because none of us fancied the queue for the carvery. 55 minutes (which seemed like an eternity sitting under a overly loud speaker playing Will Young) after ordering my partner decided to find out where our food was. They went to check & 5 minutes later it arrived.... It was just not worth waiting for the childrens meals I think were very poor value 4 smiley faces & 1 chicken teddy £3.25??? really?? I had sausage & mash with frozen peas & carrots. which was hot but not particularly nice. other orders included all day breakfast again not the best. We did think it may have paid to queue for the carvery but whilst waiting we were noticing the plates of food people were bringing back to their tables consisted of Frozen everything inc veg, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings & stuffing balls. So we will not be returning for food but will stick with them for evening entertainment from time to time.

Bar and kitchen staff are all brilliant and polite clearly a brilliant team of staff food was lovely and prices are all good too staff are all willing to go the extra mile to make us happy. The bar maid with short blonde hair made sure the kids had colouring to keep them entertained and even gave them a certificate for colouring well will definitely return

Went to Stewart one Sunday afternoon for a carvery with my friend and godson. I have to say it's the worst carvery I've been to. The beef was fatty and so tough! The turkey not much better. The vegetables were watery and tasteless. I really didn't enjoy and won't be visiting again.

Noticed Stewarts Restaurant is under new management, so me and a group of others went in, and I'm not kidding it was the best meal I've had in Chapel...the staff are so friendly and carnt do enough for you, the menu was brilliant and the food was magnificent, we now go in most evenings, the carvery on a Sunday was lovely, variety to choose from an great value for money, and I would defiantly recommend the fish special on a Friday! Cannot praise it overall enough, fantastic, hope they keep it up and stay :)

Went to Stewarts for our meal this evening, now the kitchen is under new management! I had the hickory chicken, my husband had the 16oz steak both with new potatoes. The food was delicious! And the steak cooked to to perfection (medium well) everything was Piping hot as I like it and beautifully presented. The kids had a very good choice, and there is some healthier options other than chips for them, and real mash potato which was a hit all round for my boys. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. We will be returning tomorrow for the Sunday carvery. Very impressed with the food and the service we received.

Went in to watch fa cup final and to eat with my partner & my parents,had to wait 45mins for food which was cold and small potions and didn't look like it been cooked long enough.couldn't pay by card which is Poor,the chef was too busy watchin football,complained but no one bothered,will not go again.

Went to Stewarts bar on Easter Sunday for a carvery, what an absolute shambles the guy serving had one speed SLOW. We had to wait for roast potatoes to be cooked and when finally got served there wasn't any cutlery so had to wait again while they washed some, meanwhile our meal was going cold. The roast beef was undercooked and the gammon was fatty and salty. Couldn't eat the meal left it all. Wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend.

credit cards nit accepted at the bar, customers have to pay separate for the food and cannot combine food with wine or drink, take it or leave at attitude to the customer when we visited and the manager did not want to listen to our comments. loud sports type environment and Didnt think the food was that good either. Sorry but have not been back since!

Nothing special, bog standard Sunday dinner, beef or turkey with veg and a Yorkshire pudding. Mentioned a carvery, but it wasn't available when we went. Large restaurant, not many people there, didn't try it again. Okay, and average price.

We went to Stewarts bar for some lunch and a drink during the May Day bank holiday. We purchased drinks and were more than a little surprised that we were charged £7.20 for 2 drinks of orange cordial and 1 small coke. I've never known anyone charge more than £1.50 for orange even in really nice bars in big cities. I went back to the bar and queried the prices and they said there rice for orange cordial is £2.40! That is the price they charge. The coke was £1.20 which didn't add up. I asked them to check the price and they had overcharged for the coke!The food we had wasn't good either. The scampy was poor and the chicken Tikka had one small piece of chicken. Overall not a good experience and a feeling of being ripped off left a bad taste!

Having gone down to a competition for karaoke for the semi finals and not getting through to the finals the next day at stewarts bar chapel st leonards because it was said that my sister was a professional singer and she is not. how can the owner jusify all the expenses which was laid out for the weekend to stay there. There were singers there which in alot of peoples opinion didnt deserve to be put throughn to the final. This I think is unfair to sister and to the other contestents without being disrespectful or sounding biased to anyone. It needs a more structed laout to this so that this does not happen to other people in the future not only is my sister confidence knocked and does not want to sing there is also the expenses incurred to take into consideration. I wish to bring this to peoples attention so it does not happen to you. thanks

Had a family meal here at the end of our holiday. Quite a broad menu of mainly pub food, but I must say its cooked rather well and using quality ingredients. All 4 plates were cleared with gusto and we will return next chance we get.
