We had the most delicious flan and lovely fresh side salad. Served by friendly and welcoming staff. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable lunch. And excellent value for money, too. Highly recommended.

If you visiting the Devil's Punch Bowl and the National Trust Cafe is busy or even if it's not!) take a 500 metre detour that will awaken your taste and aroma senses. Really good coffee house, home made soups (pea and mint or sweetcorn today), cookies (date and stem ginger were delicious) and scones ( fantastic cheese ones). Well worth a visit!

My friends bought some cookies from The Cookie Bar for a coffee morning. I had the white chocolate and raspberry cookie and to this day it is by far the best cookie I have ever eaten! I seriously can’t stop thinking about this cookie. My husband and I love cookies, in fact they are one of my husbands favourite sweet treats. I’m not so bothered but after this cookie I’m converted!!

The Cookie Bar had a mobile store set up at the Stepping Stones School at Undershaw for a special event I attended. I succumbed to the temptation of a brownie and an iced cake and both were superb. I wanted to try their cookies but one can only take in so much sugar at a time. The baked goods were terrific, the prices reasonable, and I recommend them highly. Worth the calories!

I have been visiting the Cookie Bar since 2013 and addicted to the lemon drizzle cake sold here. Always freshly baked and served by the lovely students who are there for work experience from the Stepping Stones School. I feel satisfied with the customer service and the helpful staff. Not too noisy and perfect atmosphere to catch up on a good book and spend some "me" time. A preferable café over Starbucks or Costa. To know that my donation is going to a worthy cause is a bonus.

I have visited the Cookie Bar many times now and it is a truly a wonderful place to be; the food is excellent and the service/general treatment from the employees is so welcoming and friendly. Had offered a donation to the cookie bar/school and was asked to take it to the cookie bar. The attitude of the senior member of staff was so dreadful the donation went elsewhere and I would never go there again. Although previously thought it would be a nice place to go for coffee and cookie I would now rather go anywhere else after feeling belittled.

Here is a small business that knows how to please it's customers. We went back three times for coffee and once for lunch. The coffee is excellent and soy options are available too. All the staff were kind and helpful and customers treated us like they had known us for years :) The home made soups were delicious the baked goods like the cheese scones fresh out the oven were wonderful and the cookies……! This shop in Boston would be a mecca for coffee lovers and cookie monsters for miles around. The icing on top of this cookie is that the profits go to help charities and the shop is run by people who want to help. Drive out of your way to go here.

Just a few minutes walk from the Devil's Punchbowl is this friendly cafe with good fresh food. Relaxed atmosphere, small garden and reasonably priced light lunch. Soups are good in the Winter and salad with quiche, panini - all the usual lunch things but very well presented and homemade. Much better choice than the NT Cafe, no queues, good service and lots of 'bits' to look at while eating - teas, coffees, china, cards. Also do Baby chinos with tiny marshmellows on top. And supporting an excellent charitable cause.

This café is a must if you are in the Hindhead area. The café is run by volunteers, and all profits go to good causes. This is a beautiful cafe in the lovely, sleepy village of Hindhead. It is the perfect place to warm up after a walk at the Devil's Punchbowl. There is free Wifi, and there are two Mac computers. My girlfriend had a delicious soya cappuccino with a Devilishly Dark cookie. I had a green tea and a slice of Millionaire’s Shortbread. The cafe also sells a range of non-food items, and I purchased an adorable Christmas bauble for my tree! Children work in the cafe with a variety of disabilities. It is wonderful that they can provide work experience in a forgiving environment for these young people. Half the profits of the cafe go to the local school (Stepping Stones), and half the profits go to COINS Foundation to support their projects internationally.

Good place to sit, have a chat, read the papers, but there is only limited seating and the service can be slow. The coffees and teas used are of good quality although the presentation does vary depending on the staff working that day. The cookies are baked in house, and are usually delicious and fresh, but occasionally they aren't! They have baguettes, scones and some cakes too,There is an outside area with some children's toys, and they tend to leave the door open to this even when it's really cold! It's worth a visit if you're passing, and they have gifts for sale too. Usually parking is easy outside but sometimes it can be a bit tricky.

We went to the Stepping Stones Cookie Bar for morning coffee. We received a very warm friendly welcome and enjoyed coffee and cookies. Yummy! We later popped in for lunch and ordered salads. They were very attractively presented, fresh and extremely tasty. (Coronation chicken BTW). We also enjoyed sparking lime juices and the lovely peaceful and tranquil garden. Then later we stopped by for an afternoon coffee with toasted teacakes. All served and presented professionally. We bought chocolates "to go" and we extremely pleased with both our eat in and take away produce.I would recommend The Cookie Bar. The atmosphere is peaceful and staff "just lovely".The Cookie Bar is affiliated with the Stepping Stones School just a few minutes walk away.Pupils are given responsibilities to "work" in The Cookie Bar to acquire a flavour of life and develop skills. There is a shop with a variety of GOODIES including edible ones. The white, lemon discs were tasty and unusual. The Cookie Bar is double fronted with parking outside.Would defiantly re visit.

I had business in the area on the day I chose to visit the Cookie Bar and since I was quite early I spent quite a while in there so got to observe the comings and goings for a couple of hours. This cafe would be great for anyone visiting the Devils Punch Bowl. If you can't make there yourself, you can order their cookies direct to your business via there website. The staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful and the place was light, airy and welcoming. I had two cappuccinos, both really nice and hot as I like them (I hate warm drinks). There were internet connected computers towards the back with brilliant large screens that you can use for FREE! This was great for me as the phone signal was a bit poor in the area. The Cookie bar was nicely busy and had a lovely atmosphere, I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.

We visited this cafe as a party of three on a walk around the Devil's Punchbowl at Hindhead instead of going to the National Trust cafe on site. The cafe was empty of customers, but the only tables still had uncleared pots and the tables were dirty. We ordered three coffees. Whilst we were waiting for them to be served a waitress cleared the table but sprayed it with an acrid cleaning fluid which gave me sore eyes - I don't know what was in the cleaner but they need to stop using it. After the visit, when I stepped outside into the November cold the stinging almost turned to tears. When I mentioned the sore eyes to my other family members they all confessed to the same problem - they hadn't mentioned it thinking it was just them! When the first two coffees arrived and they were both cold. When I took them back, instead of an immediate apology from the waitress I was simply told that she had just made them and they couldn't be cold; I had to take a large gulp from one cup to prove my point!Did she think I was lying or was she just trying to cover her inadequacy as a barrista? The replacement cups weren't that much hotter, though they were at least drinkable. There's a children's play area outside at the rear of the property, but the windows in the doors to the outside are covered with health warnings about the playground and restrictions on the number of children allowed. Not exactly inviting! The coffee experience didn't encourage us to linger in the shop, which is a shame as there were goodies for sale. There's also an eye-catching collection of paintings around the walls in the small seating area and the overall appearance inside is bright and airy.We paid £2.65 for averaged sized cups of coffee, about the same as commercial organisations such as Starbucks, Costa and Cafe Nero.If you're charging commercial prices you need to provide professional service (even with volunteers), or at least be apologetic and make friends with your customers and certainly not dispute their complaints about the product. Now, as this cafe is run by volunteers in conjunction with a school for special needs, in any other circumstances I would have gone out of my way to give a favourable review to encourage as much business as possible (especially in competition with the often overpriced and exploitative National Trust) but, quite frankly, in the current circumstances that would probably be sending more customers in for the same lacklustre treatment.Up your game 'Stepping Stones Cookie Bar', there's a lot more at stake here than a cup of coffee!
