This is a very popular cafe with the construction industry. I would recommend either phoning ahead with your order, or avoid going between 9:30 and 10:30. But don't worry, if you do have to wait, it's worth it. All the food is freshly cooked. If you miss the Little Chef Olympic Breakfast then go for the medium breakfast. Lovely food, great value for money and very friendly staff

My Nan and I have been getting a takeaway meal here every week for a year. We phone ahead to order our food. We arrive and always get a good old fashioned friendly greeting. We have tried various food from here and obviously have found our favourites. I can say I have never had a bad experience or poor food from this place. The staff are friendly and helpful, there is always a smile. The restaurant is small but the space is made feel comfortable and there are plenty of seating available. The place always looks clean and tidy, even when we've visited during a rush where to the whole place is packed. I would highly recommend this wonderful little place for anyone looking for a reasonably price meal to eat in or take out. P.S. their bacon, sausage, lettuce and mayo baguettes, bacon mushroom lettuce and mayo baguettes and prawn mayo sandwiches are to die for. They're scones are really good too.

We have popped in a few times recently and really enjoyed the delicious food. we have had bacon, sausage and mushroom baguettes and baps and every time they have been really tasty. The meat is all from a local butchers. The staff are exceptionally friendly especially 'Sammy' who was only on her 2nd full day. 10/10 for customer service all round. Don't expect fluffy modern decor, the detail here is all about the food. However we wouldn't change a thing.

We had Sunday lunch after recommendation from my sister. The restaurant was fairly busy but we were given our table immediately after it was cleaned. The staff are friendly and Carolyn goes out of her way to please customers. We both had roasts one beef and one pork, the food was plentiful and hot, there were all the trimmings and 7 types of vegetables. All food was home cooked and tasted like it was. The date and apple tart was superb. We both had drinks and felt it was value for money. The decor might not be for everyone but it is what it is, a country kitchen with layout to match. While we were there COVID restrictions were being adhered too, and they had regular customers too. We will be going again this Sunday, might push Carolyn for two yorkies this week, lol. Recommend if passing through Wrentham. .we here the breakfasts are great here too. Also licensed for drinks

Visited for lunch yesterday, given menu and told to find a table. All empty tables had dirty crockery and cutlery, so picked the least dirty. When eventually someone else came to take the order I asked her " if she was going to clean table" to be told she would "do it in a minute" She then returned with our meal and when I queried table cleaning again was told we should not have sat there until the table was cleaned!!!We were there for about an hour, with other people coming in and sitting at uncleared and dirty tables. AT NO TIME DURING THAT HOUR WAS ONE TABLED CLEANED. The two staff member's had "a couldn't care less attitude.Needles to say we will not risk our health again, by ever visiting this place in future. So be warned if you are thinking of eating here.

We only discovered this quaint gem on the second to last day of our holiday and if we had a cafe like this near us I would be there every day! Great home cooked food, large portions and great value with no pretensions. Staff are polite and efficient. Serves booze too.We came once for tea/coffee and cakes and then again the next day to sample to all day breakfast as when another customer get it it looked so good. The giant Yorkshire also looked great. If we were here another day would definitely sample. I’ve visited Stephanies country kitchen many times for breakfast and lunch and never been disappointed. This Sunday was no different. I decided to have the roast lamb, Yorkshire pudding and a selection of vegetables, with a pot of tea. The portion of lamb was generous with a selection of six vegetables and the pot of tea gave me more than 2 cups. Sadly I didn’t have room for one of their home-made puddings. The staff were pleasant and efficient and I would recommend this place for its home-cooked food.

Came here for lunch yesterday, the service is god and the food was tasty and hot, the only down side was that as we elected to sit outside and have our meal because the weather was very good, we had to endure the A12 traffic on the busy crossroads, but there is nothing that the proprietors can do about this and we could have sat indoors for a more peaceful meal. Will come again when in the area.

I haven't been back here since Stephanie retired from the business, but I'm pleased to say we were not disappointed. The food was good and the prices very reasonable. We gave our order at the counter and took our drinks back to the table. We sat and chatted for only about 5 minutes and our food arrived, nicely hot and well presented. I had the Roast Beef and all the trimmings. It was quite a generous helping of tender Beef with 7 different vegetables and Yorkshire Pudding. For me the veg was a little overcooked as I prefer Al dente, but I understand that many people like theirs that way. The staff were friendly and cheerful and everywhere seemed clean and tidy. The loos are outside and could do with a bit of a makeover. Yes we will go back soon.

Stephanie's is our regular stop on the A12 when we travel up from Essex to Suffolk/Norfolk and once again this bank holiday weekend we looked forward to stopping off to sample the cafe's fine food. Only when we got there we found it SHUT!! With all the tables etc all out in the front garden. We were so disappointed. There is a notice in the window stating that the cafe is opening soon under new management, I hope it does and is as good as it was in the past. I don't know why it closed in the first place as it always seemed to be very popular with both locals and travellers alike. My five star rating is for past visits, I sincerely hope it will be the same under the new management. Watch this space.

Pleasant and friendly serving staff, and nice atmosphere. It's several small rooms that are connected, with low beamed ceilings and lots of local interest on the walls, and a selection of china and teapots etc used decoratively. Spoiled a little by the plastic table cloths. All in all, good value for money. Don't expect fine dining or silver service, but it is better than a 'greasy spoon' café. The fry up was excellent. The menu doesn't stop at the classic fry-up there are more healthier tasty options on the menu for those concerned about calories. The ingredients are locally sourced and of good quality. Service here is always friendly and many return time and time again. There is a small car park adjacent the cafe. I’ve been here for a few afternoon teas and lunches. The food is always lovely and cooked well, the themed afternoon teas are always really fun and a great treat for the local area. However the staff are not very attentive, they give you your food/drinks and leave you! It states unlimited drinks but they don’t ask if you need more, they don’t even check if your food is okay or if you need anything. At one point my friend said ‘excuse me’ and tried getting the attention of staff at the table next to us and the staff member just walked away, when we finally managed to ask for more tea they huffed like we were an inconvenience. There were also loads of hairs on our food, I think they were blowing around because they just kept appearing, maybe because they allow dogs. It’s a shame because I love the afternoon teas but it has put me off.
