Steampuss Cat Lounge in Scarborough

What a wonderful place this is. The owners are so friendly and the cats are just beautiful and chilled. My daughters favourite was Marie, her friend loved Tigger and I loved Hagrid but they were all super soft and lovable with unique characters. We were on holiday in Scarborough and a friend told me about this place. I'm so sorry it is closing down soon :-(

This place is amazing. We have been a few times. Would go more if lived nearer. The owners are so helpful, friendly. This couple have struggled through hard times. It's such a shame they are having to close there doors. The local council should help small businesses like this. I wish them all the luck. We all will miss there beautiful furbabies.

I loved this little place. The owners went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They introduced all the cats to us. It's sad that they are closing at the end of August. I wish them well.

It was a joy to be ignored soundly by the most beautiful cats I have ever seen. Though he cares little for the knowledge, Hagrid the Maine Coone will forever have a piece of my heart. 😂 We arrived at the cafe during cat nap time, however the cafe owners were lovely, and the drinks and cake were lovely. Spooky woke up a little as we were leaving, and consented to receive tribute in the form of gentle strokes and adoration from one member of our party. We’ll definitely book again, though we may attempt to do so when we can observe what passes for zoomies, if one could imagine ladies such as Marie and Elsa stopping to such lowly activities!

Beautiful place, which we visit every time we are I'm the area. The cats are obviously loved, well cared for and happy. Our 18 year old Maine Coon passed away last year, and this gives us the opportunity to enjoy an hour with the cats and reminice of happy times with our dear departed pet. Oh, and the drinks and cakes are fab too xxx

After losing our little cat just before Christmas, we just had to pay a visit to this delightful little cafe, you will have to book as the place is not very big, but it's worth it when you get in to see and be able to stoke all the beautiful cats they have, which all belong to the owners of the cafe

The cats are absolutely beautiful and clearly well cared for. The owners have created a clean, comfortable environment and you have pretty much the place to yourself because there are so few seats. Food is good and the drinks options are plentiful. Prices are on a par with much bigger, less well-kept cat cafés I’ve been to. Thoroughly recommend for cat lovers and people visiting Scarborough with family.

We visited this cafe at the weekend and loved it. You need to pre book hourly slots. The place is small, cosy and very clean with lots of places for the cats to climb. The owners, Chloe and Matt are very friendly and clearly love their cats, they all look happy and well cared for. The cats are gorgeous and very friendly, especially if you're offering them the treats provided. Refreshments and snacks (for humans only) are available. We opted for milk shakes and cake which were delicious. Hopefully will be able to visit again on our next visit to Scarborough.

Booked me and my 2 daughters (7 & 10) to visit and were not disappointed. What a fantastic experience, coffee and cake was lovely as well.

I visited Steampuss Cat Lounge today and had the most amazing time! The cats were being so playful and enjoyed interacting with us. We were given treats to feed to the cats and was asked to make sure they weren’t given anything else. You can tell that the owners care so much about the cats and their welfare is extremely important to them. I will definitely visit again!

Had to come back here while on annual winter break. Great to see that same high standards of feline care maintained. Cosy warm in the cafe tho’ freezing outside. Lovely to meet the cats we saw last time including Simba, Marie, Rocky & Wolfie. Of course, we also enjoyed the fabulous cake!
