Great place for a big group. They put us on the bus which was awesome. Great atmosphere, beer and pizzas.

Amazing bottomless brunch! Our server was Will and he was so lovely, amazing, friendly and quick service!

Our server, Will, was absolutely fantastic! He was the only one running service for bottomless brunch, and he smashed it! Kept us very well hydrated and was lovely the whole time- despite being run off his feet! Thank you Will!

Visited Steam for a bottomless brunch with some friends. The service was extremely slow, 10 minute waits for drinks every time defeated the point of it being bottomless. Pizzas we're tasty, but limited choice. Only margarita and pepperoni available on the brunch. When asked if we could upgrade and pay the difference our waiter quite rudely told us no. Asked if they had any sides or anything else to order from, nope. Asked for chilli oil and garlic oil, not available. Asked for dips and to go into the bar and order them separately. Not worth the price

We went for a drink and got told it was last orders, but weren’t told we needed to leave instantly with all our drinks. When staff told us this, they were extremely rude and had no sympathy for our confusion as we weren’t told seating ended at the same time as last orders. when we expressed our upset they said ‘well we have told you now, leave’. In future we would recommend explaining to customers the different/ similarity between last orders and last seating. Staff were rude and said we had plastic cups and to sit on the street, which is no way to treat paying customers. £40 round wasted

Nothing was too much trouble for the Steam team in the lead up to the event and on the night - from playing our own playlist to even helping us organise karaoke in the room. Really pleased we chose Steam for our party and will definitely be back soon!

Decent place. Definitely a younger clientele. Good noisy atmosphere. Good to listen to young folk having fun.

Booked a table for a stag do. Charged £19 a head. We were told it was a deposit but haven’t had it back. The place was really quiet apart from the old fella who was sat at the table we’d booked. It just wasn’t worth the amount they seemingly charged us. Pizza's were nice though.

I hired the lounge at steam in Bristol a couple of weeks back and it was truly fantastic. Had a great party - staff were helpful during the entire process and would definitely do it again.

I had reserved a table to watch rugby and arrived on a cold, wet Saturday to be told it was outside. When I objected the barman got shirty and said I had been emailed the week before - which I wasn't, and I have since checked my junk mail, there was definitely nothing sent out. No apology, just a chippy attitude and lies about having sent out an email.

Lovey afternoon - my friend invited us to this terrific pub. Now I believe that this could be one of the most interesting and spectacular pubs that my friend and I have ever considered and established ourselves at for the majority of a wonderful afternoon. First visit here for the England v Wales six nations, and what an absolute gem we found! Great pub with a laid-back cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Natasha in particular had the place running so smoothly despite the busyness. She had guests sat down almost immediately and checked if we needed anything throughout. I never write reviews but I had to for this lady! She really was exceptional! Will definitely be back, thank you 😊

We went in for a pre cinema pint looking for a nice time. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, though the pop culture posters does feel a bit out of place in what feels like an old tavern. However we were very disappointed in the quality of the drinks that we got. I got a Guinness myself, but it was extremely disappointing and my friends lager was flat. It’s one of the few times I didn’t want to finish my pint. Not sure if the lines haven’t been cleaned properly or if the barrel wasn’t fresh but unfortunately was one of the worst pints I’ve had in a while. The happy hour discounts are a big bonus though for what is normally a very expensive area to drink in! Would also like to say that the team at steam seems wonderful and this review isn’t against the quality of the staff

It has a cosy but lively atmosphere with excellent staff. Great location, right next to the station. Would recommend as a place to start for a day drinking or a nice interlude in the early evening.

Tom, handled our rather raucous group like a seasoned mustang tamer, in the heat of summer. He was fair but firm, gentile but chiding when he had too. He wielded those bottles prosecco, raining down drunken delight from his swaying hips. Oh Tom, I wish we see you again, not in Steam, but on the steaming havana one day. Yee haw.

She let us move tables to a quieter spot, has been super attentive with drinks (we haven’t had any empty glass once which is amazing for a bottomless) and she explained the platters well - couldn’t have asked for a better bottomless

Tom was so lovely he came over just the right amount of times to make sure we had everything we needed :) he was very kind and made us all feel rly happy and joked along with us. They didn’t have ketchup and I was not feeling groovy about that but he did everything in his power to make sure I had the right dips of my nuggets. Honestly life saver cuz I rly don’t like nuggets w out dip xoxox

We had a work xmas party there. While the atmos was nice, they charged £20 ahead for the food and served some trays of chips with a few chicken wings and chicken nuggets around it. It ended up being around half of portion of chips and 3 nuggets per person ... for £20 each, while the atmos is nice, don't think we ll be back in a hurry! Definitively very poor value for a bit of fried food. UPDATE: Many thanks for your reply and providing wider context. I am afraid I am not the person you are thinking off as I did not complain on the night (you ll see I actually gave atmosphere a 4 stars and service a 3 stars, which sounds like the person you are referring to wouldn't have done). This is a genuine constructive review but I guess I wasn’t the only one feeling like the food offering was disappointing. While I appreciate non positive reviews are disappointing, it is rather peculiar to have it change a personal attack on how I treated the team … when clearly you have the wrong person. Take care PS you may want to check with your kitchen as it was definitively chips, chicken nuggets ... and there may have been sausages ... but I didn't see them

It's been a favourite local of mine for many years, the atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, especially Tom who's always particularly kind and attentive, remembering the locals and taking the time to make us all feel welcome.

We had the bottomless brunch, food, drink, and staff were excellent. The beer In particular was very refreshing. Our server Natasha took excellent care of us during our stay.

Had a great time with work colleagues on a busy Friday night! Despite how busy it was, the wait at the bar was minimal and the staff were super friendly/helpful. Drinks were reasonably priced too with plenty to choose from. Would definitely recommend booking a table if a larger group as it does get busy inside throughout the night (especially in colder winter months). 10/10 and will be back!

We went for the Bottomless Brunch. The food is simple but tasty, the service was a 10, really nice and they kept the drinks rolling all the time. We went pretty early and there was not too many people at the beginning, but the ambient built up pretty quick and it got full a couple of hours later, pretty chill and friendly. We will come again 😊

We had the new dirty roast, it was so yummy! We were there late Sunday afternoon so there was a slight wait for food, but our server Ty was excellent and so attentive! Will be returning :)

Booked the Brum bus for 20 people for my Birthday and had a really fab time. Whilst booking, the team were super responsive and helpful in helping me figure out which venue option would be best. We all had an absolutely amazing time. I booked from 6pm so got to enjoy happy hour for an hour, and everyone thought the bus was really cool.

Came here for a dirty roast after seeing a TikTok vid but was definitely badly influenced. Came here as soon as it opened and was one of the first to order but yet had to wait an hour for my food. My friends got there’s about 15 minutes before me and the bar staff apologised for the delay. The food itself was actually really bad. I never write reviews but don’t want anyone else being fooled. The fake cheese sauce over the potatoes was thick and grim. I got about a tablespoon of pulled pork. Really heavy to eat and actually confused on what took so long considering there was about 3 tables. I feel like the picture is also abit deceiving As looks some what enjoyable but it really isn’t good quality or portion but I guess for £13 what do you expect? Although would of probably appreciated some of my money back for having to wait and then eat after my friends had finished. I definitely won’t be back.

Beware of the roast dinners at all costs, words can not describe the disappointment in my face when this meal fell upon my gaze. I doth understand the concept of a trying out a ‘different’ and ‘dirty’ styled roast dinner but whence the chef tried it out, it is incomprehensible to me that he didn’t decide to go back to the so called drawing board. After a decently long time waiting, and one of our drinks being forgotten, we were served what could be only be described as what McDonalds would make as a roast. Whoever had the bright idea to poor melted nacho cheese sauce on the potato’s need to sit their pretty little selves down and consider a change in career. The Yorkshire pudding - the CROWN of the roast dinner, was beaten and flattened into a square form, only then to have this slop dumped upon it, making me honestly pity for the poor thing. To top it off, it was all served on a tray, and although I think this establishment thought it was ‘rustic’, they should note to self that even if the tray is an 18th century French antique, trays will always make people think of two things - prison and school canteens. Especially when sitting a mound of fried food and congealed gravy. Finally, one of my peers had to wait until everyone else had finished eating to receive her meal. When it arrived, the poor girls serving of meat (pulled pork) with no inkling of exaggeration, was worth one dollop of a table spoon. If I can be so bold - I wouldn’t eat this again for one shilling, I wouldn’t wish this meal on my worst foe. It was edible, certainly, but offensive to me, my companions, and a complete disrespect and serious misstep in the history and culture of the roast dinner. The cider was nice tho.
