Absolute awful service. Had a drink card to buy 5 drinks and get one free. Staff refused to offer me a free drink despite buying 5 drinks. Staff said it is 5 orders for a free drink, despite the card saying 5 drinks for a free one. Complete con. Manager backed the decision and completely rude. Absolutely awful location with rude staff.

I booked the 'lounge' and had a great time for my birthday! Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Didn't have food so can't comment on that front. Pub is nice enough but it is a student bar so won't be everyone's cup of tea.

Booked the lounge area for a party, really easy to get booked and the 3D room viewer is great. The staff involved in booking were great, the atmosphere and room was perfect for our party and helped make it a lovely night. The Pig’s Pizza was spot on too.

Came for bottomless brunch. Pizzas were nice (though you can only choice between two options, when there are several on the menu). Service was OK, needed to nudge towards the end to get a final round of drinks within our time. Aside from food, I think charging a £3.49 PER TICKET admin fee is excessive! I understand these charges are for a third party booking system, but you’ve chosen to pass this on to customers.

The only problem is the disabled toilet. It's not looked after and pretty grim. It's a portaloo outside, which isn't a problem. The problem is that it's not clean and has no lighting. The staff member was happy to clean it, but I would say this shouldn't be left until someone needs it and should be checked regularly. Everything else is lovely. Pints are good, staff were friendly and prices were good

Our server, Will, was absolutely fantastic! He was the only one running service for bottomless brunch, and he smashed it! Kept us very well hydrated and was lovely the whole time- despite being run off his feet! Thank you Will!

Visited Steam for a bottomless brunch with some friends. The service was extremely slow, 10 minute waits for drinks every time defeated the point of it being bottomless. Pizzas we're tasty, but limited choice. Only margarita and pepperoni available on the brunch. When asked if we could upgrade and pay the difference our waiter quite rudely told us no. Asked if they had any sides or anything else to order from, nope. Asked for chilli oil and garlic oil, not available. Asked for dips and to go into the bar and order them separately. Not worth the price

We went for a drink and got told it was last orders, but weren’t told we needed to leave instantly with all our drinks. When staff told us this, they were extremely rude and had no sympathy for our confusion as we weren’t told seating ended at the same time as last orders. when we expressed our upset they said ‘well we have told you now, leave’. In future we would recommend explaining to customers the different/ similarity between last orders and last seating. Staff were rude and said we had plastic cups and to sit on the street, which is no way to treat paying customers. £40 round wasted

Tuvimos una fiesta de trabajo en Steam, en el Shebeen Bar privado. Era un gran espacio, con nuestro propio pozo - bar surtido y barman increíble. Nada fue demasiado problemático para el equipo de Steam antes del evento y durante la noche, desde reproducir nuestra propia lista de reproducción hasta incluso ayudarnos a organizar el karaoke en la sala. Realmente contentos de que elegimos Steam para nuestra fiesta y sin duda volveremos pronto!

We had a work party at Steam, in the private Shebeen Bar. It was a great space, with our own well-stocked bar and amazing bartender. Nothing was too much trouble for the Steam team in the lead up to the event and on the night - from playing our own playlist to even helping us organise karaoke in the room. Really pleased we chose Steam for our party and will definitely be back soon!

Decent place. Definitely a younger clientele. Good noisy atmosphere. Good to listen to young folk having fun.

Booked a table for a stag do. Charged £19 a head. We were told it was a deposit but haven’t had it back. The place was really quiet apart from the old fella who was sat at the table we’d booked. It just wasn’t worth the amount they seemingly charged us. Pizza's were nice though.

I hired the lounge at steam in Bristol a couple of weeks back and it was truly fantastic. Had a great party - staff were helpful during the entire process and would definitely do it again.

I had reserved a table to watch rugby and arrived on a cold, wet Saturday to be told it was outside. When I objected the barman got shirty and said I had been emailed the week before - which I wasn't, and I have since checked my junk mail, there was definitely nothing sent out. No apology, just a chippy attitude and lies about having sent out an email.

Hosted my 21st birthday here and booking was easy and a great venue. Beautiful building, great atmosphere, friendly staff and class own brand booze. Love Steam thanks for making my birthday special!

Lovey afternoon - my friend invited us to this terrific pub. Now I believe that this could be one of the most interesting and spectacular pubs that my friend and I have ever considered and established ourselves at for the majority of a wonderful afternoon. First visit here for the England v Wales six nations, and what an absolute gem we found! Great pub with a laid-back cosy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Natasha in particular had the place running so smoothly despite the busyness. She had guests sat down almost immediately and checked if we needed anything throughout. I hired campsite fun for my 21st and had such a great evening! The set up was stunning, and the staff were lovely. All 50 of us had the best evening !!

We went in for a pre cinema pint looking for a nice time. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, though the pop culture posters does feel a bit out of place in what feels like an old tavern. However we were very disappointed in the quality of the drinks that we got. I got a Guinness myself, but it was extremely disappointing and my friends lager was flat. It’s one of the few times I didn’t want to finish my pint. Not sure if the lines haven’t been cleaned properly or if the barrel wasn’t fresh but unfortunately was one of the worst pints I’ve had in a while. The happy hour discounts are a big bonus though for what is normally a very expensive area to drink in! Would also like to say that the team at steam seems wonderful and this review isn’t against the quality of the staff

It has a cosy but lively atmosphere with excellent staff. Great location, right next to the station. Would recommend as a place to start for a day drinking or a nice interlude in the early evening.

Came here for bottomless brunch with my friend and was served my the lovely Natasha. She let us move tables to a quieter spot, has been super attentive with drinks (we haven’t had any empty glass once which is amazing for a bottomless) and she explained the platters well - couldn’t have asked for a better bottomless

Tom, handled our rather raucous group like a seasoned mustang tamer, in the heat of summer. He was fair but firm, gentile but chiding when he had too. He wielded those bottles prosecco, raining down drunken delight from his swaying hips. Oh Tom, I wish we see you again, not in Steam, but on the steaming havana one day. Yee haw.

Tom was so lovely he came over just the right amount of times to make sure we had everything we needed :) he was very kind and made us all feel rly happy and joked along with us. They didn’t have ketchup and I was not feeling groovy about that but he did everything in his power to make sure I had the right dips of my nuggets. Honestly life saver cuz I rly don’t like nuggets w out dip xoxox
