Lovely decor, we had afternoon tea and I would say it was one of the best I have had in Bristol. Reasonably priced at £33 including a glass of prosecco or £25 without. Plenty of food, most of us couldn't finish it all. Also had a free refil on my decaff tea! Sandwiches were tasty and pastries seemed hand made in-house, as they were fresh and delicious.

I booked this restaurant as a treat for my friends 60th birthday. She travelled down from Birmingham and met me here in Devon. We then drove to Padstow for lunch. The reason I took her here is it looked so pretty and her favourite is fish and chips and this restaurant is called The Harbour Kitchen. Fish and chips was on the menu but after ordering we were told that they didn’t have any fish and chips. Crestfallen that my treat for my friends 60th didn’t happen and that the service was so slow. She ordered a burger which really wasn’t the best. My dogs liked it though. Beautiful venue, disappointing experience.

Had a drink in their beautiful bar, but the price for a brandy is a bit over the top, but this we excepted, what was not correct is they add their 12.5 (Discretionary) amount with no mention on the bill. Therefore nothing is clear and transparent and quickly out with the machine to take your money. Sadly this way of getting you to pay up is too current. So …, won’t be back.

Took our mum , mother in law and daughter for a birthday 2 pm Sunday lunch. Ran out of roast chicken and roast beef was mainly fat. The waitress was not suited to front of house work(permanently miserable face)Although I negotiated down the price with the manager (who was fine TBF) the afternoon was a bust. Great location and decor. Think twice.

A nice place for an afternoon tea, the selection is quite good. We asked for no-meat selection and were quite happy with the replacements! The tables are quite small and are close to each other, it gets a little tricky with a big (very cool looking!) food stand.

We were there to take an "afternoon tea" and everything was awesome. The Jasmine Blossom tea was amazing and it was served with several appetizers. We actually went there without having lunch, but everything that was served was enough to fill us up. I particularly loved the chicken with truffle. Even the service was great, everyone was kind and careful about our needs. We were served by Angie with kindness and attention to our needs, She was great in everything and we really felt welcomed and comfortable, we really enjoyed this experience.

A perfect example of why ratings sometimes don’t paint a true picture. With a rating of 4.1 I decided to take to the streets and find an alternative establishment for my evening meal despite staying at the hotel. Thankfully I ended up back where I started as I just couldn’t decide where to eat, it came very apparent that I had been far too quick to not give consideration to the smart decor and very inviting, friendly front desk staff. Once in the restaurant I was looked after by Gabriel, again another tremendously friendly member of staff with a great knowledge of the menu in front of me, serving behind the counter making drinks was Ben and in the open kitchen were two chefs that cooked up a fantastic meal for which I am very thankful. The very simple dish of squid can be so easily ruined so I decided to order the back up of ham hock croquettes, the squid was amazing and cooked to perfection and the croquettes were also very tasty although I didn’t eat the whole dish for fear of not being able to eat the stone bass which was recommended by Gabriel. The stone bass arrived (see photo) with a salsa Verdi, smashed new potatoes and samphire, the presentation was fantastic and again everything was cooked to perfection. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and certainly wouldn’t hesitate to return, highly recommended

Where can I start? We were seated in the booth nearest the door, straight away, I was hit by wafts of sewage and damp coming from vents under the booth seat. All-pervading wafts. The waitress handed us just the drinks menu and we sat for 10 mins waiting for her to come and take the order, another 10 mins before we were given the actual food menus. The white wine we ordered was left standing on the bar top to warm up nicely for another 10 mins. My son eventually stood up and asked if we could have the wine. The waitress ensured she served another table before preparing the wine. Bearing in mind we were one of only 4 tables, the service was excruciatingly slow and unprofessional. The food was alright, but nothing to write home about. All the while with fumes of sewage in my nostrils. We ordered the Burger x 2 and truffle parmesan chips. What arrived was 2 burgers, (very nice), 2 chips that came with the meal and an extra 2 truffle parmesan chips. So 4 portions of chips for 2 people??!! Sloppy attention to menu planning. Most places would have the normal chip portion but with an upgrade to truffle etc if desired for an extra few pounds. Has no one who works in the restaurant questioned why anyone would order 2 portions of chips per head? I suppose this is where they make their money. We couldn't wait to get out. When the bill was paid the waitress pointed out the service charge of £17.00, we had it removed because service charge is deserved if the experience is positive. Will not be returning to eat an expensive lunch in a toilet.

Dined in the restaurant on our first night, I had the seafood linguine my friend had the roast beef. Seafood linguine was tasteless but had a good amount of seafood. My friends dinner look great and was a big portion! Wish I’d have chosen that! It’s not cheap seafood linguine was £24! And the roast was around £20. For what you get I don’t think it’s worth it. The drinks are extortionate…£25 for 1 gin and 1 lime and soda! Breakfast on the other hand was lovely! Couldn’t fault it, it’s cooked fresh to order and has many options. The continental buffet is a nice touch, with many yogurts and granolas ect. Not sure how much it costs as mine was included in my deal.

The food is really good, from the serving, timing, the look and finishing with flavours! Absolutely lovely king scallops and calamari! Just wish they had more seafood options as Google shows octopus and oysters, however apparently they are not the part of the menu anymore. Also the hazelnut chocolate bomb dessert with berries is probably one of the best desserts we have tried, amazing combination of textures and sweet/sour flavours👍🏻 Cocktails menu is very short, however they are able to make cocktails for order and their bartender made some really good cocktails for us with a coconut rum! I would not want anyone else to experience this treatment! My autistic daughters first trip to town by herself. Confused by the open space of the tables, she was unaware that they belonged to this restaurant. Instead of a polite 'these tables are for customers only' She is shouted at in a confrontational manner whilst the staff threateningly stood over her. Her hidden disability lanyard ignored and my daughter shuts down in fear unable to move. Fortunately a friend was able to rescue her. Unfortunately St Nicks market as a whole has now lost custom.

Having previously eaten here with a group and enjoyed the meal I took my wife for dinner but had a poor experience. For a start it took around 20mins before we could get anyone to actually take our order. The staff were friendly but not so attentative. It wasn’t busy but the staff were regularly congregating near the kitchen deep in conversation and laughter. For starters my wife opted for squid which is a side dish not a starter as she didn’t want too big a plate of food before her main. I ordered steak tartare which is a dish I know well and prepare myself at home, but it was really poor. The steak wasn’t cut finely enough so you ended up with long stringy bits of meat. It was tender but the menu didn’t state that it was deconstructed. The capers and onions were served in heaps around the plate and not even mixed in with the meat and it had little seasoning. However our experience with mains was worse. We both decided to go for ribeye steaks but they were so tough my wife gave up, leaving virtually her entire steak uneaten. I made a few attempts but most of my mouthfuls ended up back on the plate, with two thirds of mine left. We cook ribeye all the time at home and we know about the fat but this was very poor indeed. The waitress who took our steaks away was friendly and told us that she’d get the bill adjusted but she never mentioned replacing the meals. When the bill arrived all they’d done was remove a glass of wine (£7). I queried this with another waitress who brought the bill and she returned with a further amended bill but only having removed a starter (£6). I complained again as we had hardly touched the mains but nothing more was done. We left feeling ripped off having spent over £120 and having to get a takeaway on the way home.

Exceptionally over priced, dull and inexperienced venue. The air conditioning was on max as well as the doors being open in the evening, making the feel not too unsimilar to being in an apres ski bar on the edge of a mountain. Whilst the room was cold, the food came luke warm yet the plates sat under the heat lights for at least 10 minutes, I guess they needed heating up to balance the temperature of the restaurant? There was an unfortunate and coincidental hair found in one of the dishes. The wine arrived, also luke warm but was replaced with wine from a fridge - maybe chilled wine first of all would have been better? The bar, which quite frankly is beautifully stocked with a variety of spirits doesn’t advertise cocktails or anything other than wine, why? On a more positive note, if there can be one, the windows were nice...

A very popular place right opposite castle park, at the centre of bristol city. With a large outside seating space and a full three storey inside seating, it is one of the largest pubs in the area. It has great pizza and side options, and is unique in the fact that all the food they serve is vegetarian but absolutely lovely. A unique selling point is that it is a brewery, and you can see some of the processes. As such it has a changing variety of very diverse beers, ciders and ales. The third floor also has a games area and has a young vibe. Altogether a very busy and vibrant place specially on the weekends.

Lovely traditional pub, very affordable considering it's location and the food is very good and affordable. I always have nice time also good music live or not live. Beautiful large garden. One of my favourite pubs in the area. Staff always friendly!
