A surprisingly different breakfast. Fantastic. The staff were friendly and obliging. I would definitely go there again.

It was so nice to drop in here and see the whole amenities and food choices they offer! Really approachable staffs. Full breakfast meal @ £7.50 Good price and good meal.

First time in the cafe today, we ordered 2 hot chocolate with all the works. It arrived at the table and within five minutes they were almost gone! Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere as well.

The buck rarebit was apparently ok but the cook needs to learn how to make hollandaise!! The sauce that was put on my eggs benedict was fairly horrible and put me off eating.

We went to Steam for Sunday Breakfast, first impressions walking through the door was so positive, clean bright and didn't smell of grease. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my husband the The Works (full english) I can’t fault the food at all, everything on both dishes was cooked to an extremely high standard and for a “greasy fry up” thats saying something! There was no grease. I opted not to have the side salad and coleslaw with my runny eggs but thats just me. Both dishes were hot and freshly cooked. The service was second to none the staff so polite and friendly. Our only 2 issues are, one with the little tables, once we took off the sugar jars, plate for cutlery, sauces, table lamp (nearly) we were able to place our plates on, however, the lovely lady did offer to put a 2nd table next to ours but we did’t need it, the second is in warm weather the front door is open and anyone sitting outside smoking made it slightly uncomfortable inside as the smoke wafted in, that would be the only negatives. If your just having a drink or light bite theres a comfy sofa with a wooden chest which is perfect! I would highly recommend Steam and we will definitely be making this our “new” place to go.

Came in today with my sisters and niece for lunch as one of my sisters had been in before and said it was good. To be honest I was a bit dubious her recommendations can be a bit hit and miss but pleased to say she was spot on this time. At last somewhere great to eat. Lovely little place very comfortable and welcoming. Great service from the outset well looked after by a lovely lady. Jacket potato with cheese and beans a lovely side salad with croutons and home made slaw, what’s not to like. Well presented and HOT which is a bonus in eateries in Eastbourne. Chicken, bacon and Mayo sandwich on lovely bread, again with a lovely salad and slaw. Great coffee vey hot and quirky little milk bottles with hot milk. Very reasonable price wise a definite tick on this one and will return very soon. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed 👍

The best welsh rarebit i have had for years. Well good generous portion too. I have delivery coming now and that will be just as good , i know because i already have before Do it, its well good 😁😁😁 MrT

Had a delicious lunch over the weekend,good portion sizes,the service was a little bit slow BUT they gave us a discount off the bill which they didn’t have to..was nice of them,will return again

This is a hidden gem just along from Marks and Spencer that is good for lunch or just a coffee. The food is made to order. We all chose sandwiches or paninis which all had lots of filling and are served with salad and coleslaw. A good selection of soft drinks. All in all a great atmosphere, attentive service and we will definitely be returning again soon.

Whether you sit inside, out front or in the garden you will be well looked after. I had their eggs royale, it was delicious and the poached eggs were perfect (firm white and runny yolk). The service is friendly and we were made so welcome. Super menu so lots more goodies to try. My next visit will not be long.
