Delicious food lovely service really enjoyed everything was nice

Fantastic customer service, welcoming atmosphere. Food was outstanding, cooked to perfection and so were the drinks. Would defo come back again.

Not a great experience at all. Booked a table before hand and the host didn't know where to sit us. Our starters came before the drinks even arrived. No cutlery with the food and had to ask for it for the starters and then for the mains. Asked to order another drink and the waiter never came back to take the drink order. Would expect more, especially when you spend £100+ for two people and the restaurant didn't look busy at all. Food was decent but service very poor.

One of the worse experiences of my life. The steak i ordered was medium and it came over cooked and had the rubbery texture. The sauces were tasteless. The dynamite chicken tasted like it was cooked a year ago. We left without eating and almost all the food still on the table. To top it all off there were only 2 staff members to serve around 15-20 tables. The drinks we ordered didnt arrive even after mains were served and we were ready to leave. Everyone in there were getting annoyed as they were waiting for around an hour for their food to arrive. Would have given minus reviews if there wa an option. RUINED MY DAUGHTER’s BIRTHDAY DINNER AND EMBARRASSED US WITH OUR GUESTS. Never again!!!!

As always sirloin steaks were delicious and chefs special burger was fantastic. Great customer service and prices are reasonable.

Sorry, but we didn't eat here because they don't serve alcohol. I've had many great meals in no-booze restaurants but we're not paying those prices for fabulous steaks without a glass or two of red alongside.

Amazing food had the steak with the butter rice!

I went to this restaurant mid week with some of my colleagues, and found the waitress to be very polite and helpful. Unfortunately we were disappointed by the food, 3 of us ordered stake and in all three cases the steak was very tough, fatty, and lacked flavour. Also the vegges served with the steak were uninspiring and didnt add anything to the meal, although the chips were ok. I wouldn't visit this place again.

Wow where do i start from atmosphere i would of gave it zero stars and the stairs that u have to go up to go to the restaurant are very slippery, i only seen two waiters the seating isnt very comfortable the tables are very sticky and dirty and the food was not very nice i wouldnt be going again and will tell family and friends, its not worth the money and the time oh and the waitress was constantly telling us to pay cash instead of card when we told her we not got any cash on us and then she was like we got a atm machine downstairs the reason she didnt want us to pay by card coz u have to give a commission. If u want a good evening out and want steaks then go to kobe sizzlers they do the best steaks ever, u cant reply and say im fake coz i will be uploading photos on here just wait a second and another thing u cant deny it that u failed in ur food failed the place the deco is tacky and dirty and u only got 2 waiters a female and a male, and u cant deny the stairs that go up to ur restaurant are very slippery thats a very big hazard.

A great spot for casual family and business meals. They have very good ribs, try it from their starter. Very good ambiance and staff. Steak was decent but a little chewy.

Dined here a couple of times and visited again today. Food is good as always, no complaints. Service has definitely gone down, considering the fact that there is now a service charge (which I didn't know about until when given the bill) - after having sat down for a while, no menus provided until having to ask for. Come to paying and get told the classic 'Sorry it's cash only'. Go downstairs, draw the cash and come back up and get told 'Sorry we don't have change' - what kind of business are you operating?! Luckily I had spare coins to make up the balance. What I did not know until later while going home is as I went down to get the cash, the waitress tells my wife to wait upstairs until I return. Sorry, if you think we are going to run away without paying then we are much better off taking our business to other steakhouses who are doing a better job.

La comida era genial, pero el ambiente y la decoración no estaban realmente a la altura de los altos estándares necesarios para lo que yo consideraría una casa de carne razonablemente caro. Tuvimos un entrante de plato de pollo y filetes en platos chisporroteantes, ya que la verdura con papas fritas vino en el chisporroteador también algunos de ellos se quemaron un poco. El personal era amable, pero no te hizo sentir realmente bienvenido, pidió dinero en efectivo al final, así como en lugar de tarjeta.

Came from London for my birthday meal, and it was worth the drive. Dynamite Prawns and Signature Buffalo for starter is a must, and the Ribeye and T bone steaks were on point with vegetables and chips and offcourse Mushroom sauce. It's a must try if you visit Leicester

Amazing food and delicious drinks

We had a good diner at the place. Service was very good and all staff were very helpful. We had a platter and that is a good choice as it gives taste of most of the starters. For mains We had steaks they were made according to our desire and Mongolian beef and fried rice was very delicious.

We ordered a range of options from the menu (5 starters, 5 mains and different mocktails) and everything was great! The ribs are a must order if you visit, definitely the best I’ve had in Leicester. All the staff were hospitable and food was served in perfect time. Strongly recommends a visit!

Would definately recommend this place. Steak and staff were amazing.

Good food and service. The juicy Medley burgers very filling and taste amazing. Good portion of chips with each meal. Comfortable seating. 2 star less for service, as they apply service charge 10%, not sure why. Friday night 7pm, place was empty, no atmosphere. Mrs found her steak was a bit tough, veg was under cooked, and onions were raw, not caramelised.

Amazing restaurant, we really enjoyed the steak and prawns!

Ate here last night for a night out, however we felt very awkward walking in, had a lot of people staring at myself and my husband. We sat down and the person who took our choices of the menu made the whole situation feel uncomfortable. The food was overcooked. And when it came to paying we got a Service Charge added which we were not informed about when we arrived. So our bill was a lot more higher than expected due to a “service charge”. So becareful when going here. As you’ll end up spending more money.

Excellent service, food, and atmosphere!

We started with the dynamite prawns, which were an absolute delight. For the mains, we had the steak medley and sirloin steak with chips. The steaks were perfectly cooked to medium. For dessert, we had the fudge brownie with gelato from La Maison. A quick tip: avoid having the sauce poured over the sizzling platter, as it ended up burnt.

Had the fillet steak in sizzler. It was cooked nicely and tasted great. Service was outstanding. Just felt prices were a little dear, and some drinks were out of stock. Other than that a very good experience

We travelled a long way, called to move our reservation back half an hour, the person that answered couldn't understand we had a booking, and were wanting to delay as we were stuck in traffic. Turned up on time, but the entrance and stairwell smelt so strongly of urine, it turned your stomach. Went up anyway. Turned about, it was empty. Not like what was portrayed at all. Where are these reviews from?

Went with my family , easy to locate, great food- would suggest strawberry mojito ! Also dynamite chicken was good..steak was perfect..Will be back to taste more for sure.. All in all wonderful dining experience and great service!

Really sorry, but being a "steak" place, the steak was shameful! Cold plate, meant cold steak, and the steak was very fatty, even the steak knife struggled to cut! On a positive note, the other people's food was genuinely good. Top tip, don't order steak.

We’ve just had an amazing dinner at Steak and Lounge, Abbey street Leics. It’s probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. All the food and drinks we ordered were so delicious and tasty. Blew my husband and myself away. The service was impeccable, the venue was classy and clean. Great value for money!

Worst food ever! Food was Expensive as hell. Stay away from this place if you don’t want to waste your money . For two person, it costed more than 50£. Also, they charge service charge which I don’t get for what reason when you offer pathetic food. They only have one waiter and one manager. On Friday, they have less customers which shows that how poor they are performing in terms of the customers.I believe they are just on the brink of complete shut down that’s why they are charging more and offering less quantity and tasteless food. At the end, it’s all about food and it was worst I had eaten here. I used to visit this place with my friend and family a year ago and food was good that time. This was my last time to visit this place. Will never visit this awful place.

We were staying just outside Leicester for the weekend. I searched for best steak restaurant and went based on the other reviews. Got a cab in as I was looking forward to a couple of cocktails, a steak and a bottle of red. Normally I am designated driver. Arrived, entered through the ground floor entrance , which smelt strongly of toilet cleaner, tbh not a pleasant start. Walked upstairs, lift out of order... not impressed by the location at all. Was shown to table, past a family with a kid coughing profusely, who looked like they were waiting for a take away. There were 2 other tables seated. No atmosphere at all. Was offered drinks, non alcoholic only. Diet Coke was an unknown generic brand. Ordered a Mocktail which was ok. Starters ok. Mains ok - salad garnish was identical to starter.... simple , with generic dressing. I mean identical. Had to ask for more drinks, there was nobody in there. Waited for desert and waited some more. Then asked for desert menu "we have a cake thing and ice cream"....... "the cake is chocolate" Nothing like the photos, completely unprofessional. i asked for bill and left. Had a nice desert and a couple of cocktails back at the hotel. So disappointing all round. Nothing like the reviews, the pictures and the Instagram posts. I actually thought I was in wrong place. The decor looks like a cocktail lounge, as implied by the name... its not. The waiters were friendly. I honestly dont get it. Meeting my sons girlfriend for the first time, wanted something nice. I was actually embarrassed by the whole thing.

Good food, great service from the other staff. Just disappointed when we just sat down and a guy looking like a customer immediately took our order not even letting us rest after hours of walking around and got surprised when he mentioned he was the manager. We cant even decide what to eat because he somewhat like nagging us even hurrying us to order. Not so fine dinning experience.

not usually a review writer unless i want to warn people about bad food but i just have to write a review of this place because i was that blown away! the venue itself is like walking into a dubai 5* restaurant, the decor is fit for royalty, beautiful chandeliers big mirrors and a classy black and gold theme going on. we was greeted by the staff who are not in your face like some restaurants just wanting to get you in and out for the next customers, the staff are relaxed and very welcoming respecting your space but maintaining attentiveness throughout. so to the food....where do i start. for starters we ordered the bbq rib, dynamite prawns and pulled baobuns. i thought i miss read when it said "rib" as in one but i kid you not, this one rib was the size of my leg infact i believe it was possibly a dinosaur rib. the flavour and that bbq sauce was absolutely exquisite! the beef just fell off the bone and was juicy succulent and the sheer size of it got some mouths drooling on the instagram believe you me! onto the dynamite prawns....as i write this my mouth is watering. they are up at the very best prawns ive had. how they maintained the crispyness of the batter whilst covered in some sort of chilli sticky sauce is just complete wizardry! the baobuns again more than one could expect! the soft bun was not dry or brittle as ive had in some places but was just perfect accompanied by succulent pulled beef with afew added chilli slices onto to give it some heat!. onto the mains....i ordered the fillet steak and asked for spiced chips and peppercorn sauce. i asked for my steak to just have a little show of pink in it and to say they cooked it to perfection is an understatement. a lovely knob of garlic butter just melting away ontop. you also have the option of your steak coming out on a plate or on a hot iron grill. i went with the sizzling iron grill so everything was sizzling when it arrived. infact im going to go as far as saying this was the best steak ive had in leicester and certainly up at the top compared to anywhere else. the chips as requested came with some chilli seasoning sauce on top. it was not the same they had used on the starters which just shows they have variety and dont just use the same sauces on everything but clearly understand what sauces and seasonings accompany what dishes! absolutely blown away by this place. we was that full we had no room for desert but i most definitely will save some space for that next time we saw afew being dished out and they look very stylish. during the course of our meal the owner also took the time to great us. i have to say again how welcoming and engaging he was, You can clearly tell he is passionate about his restaurant and the food that is served and for him to engage with his customers certainly is a testament to the level of service he wishes to delivery and my god did he deliver!. an absolute 5 star rating this place needs to be definitely checked out!
