Stax Diner in City of London, Westminster

The service is the worst, but the good is 10 out of 10.. Its the only place I would deal with the bad servive... Sorry to hear you've closed for good, it makes me very very sad!

The restaurant can be hard to locate and is very compact. It is brightly decored and has a busy vibe. The staff are friendly and youthful. Service can struggle a little during busy times. The prices of the food are above average, but typical for Central London dining. The food is pure comfort food and the crunch of the chicken delights the senses before the sweetness of the maple syrup. There are food challenges that are impossible for the average person. The overall experience is like an upmarket fast shop from the high street, but still enjoyable for that comfort food delight.

Fabulous service Justina was great friendly and helpful. Food was really good we just walked not knowing what to expect but very impressed. Great for vegetarians, loved my burger thanks you !

The food was just epically amazing and in bulk quantity. I was shocked at the amount of found at a very reasonable price. The server Justina was amazing and so friendly. Loved the place and would recommend it for a nice and amazing meal.

We ate last night at Stax, the food was heavenly, just the right amount of crunch for the crispy chicken coating, the chicken was perfectly tender inside and crispy fries. The staff were so lovely we thanked the kitchen staff for such a lovely meal - you can see them preparing the whole time they work hard to keep the many customers happy. With cocktails offers to boot you really can’t go wrong with a dinner here. Well done team!

I visited today for my mams birthday and it was such a lovely visit. We got the smoky stack and the classic cheese burger and both were so delicious, juicy and the fries were perfectly cooked. Everything was amazing. We had pornstar martinis and the lovely Justina gave us another round of complimentary cocktails as it was my mams birthday, she really made our day! I would I highly recommend a visit to this place! Thank you again Justina :)

Can I say firstly the food was really nice! We both really enjoyed the burgers and fries we had but both were not fans of the service right from the get go. Starting with the good parts - We both got a double stack patty with pulled bbq chicken and all the trimmings which was absolutely delicious - other than the pulled chicken being cooler than the rest of the burger which was slightly odd) but other than that it was 4/5 on the food! The restaurant was trendy and a very nice vibe, being pregnant the seats were rather difficult to sit on (they’re metal stools without a back or padding on seat) and there wasn’t another option so after about 10 minutes I was a little uncomfortable but that’s not the restaurants fault - just something to note if you don’t like that seating. Service… we were sat down after booking a reservation and he said the menu is digital and to give him a shout when we wanted to order - we’re both used to digital menus in food courts so that wasn’t a shock to us. When we ordered there was no allergies asked about (again we don’t have any but it’s nice to be asked) when we got our food we were left alone the entire time without a check to see if it was ok? Once my husband was finished a young girl in a hoodie took away his plate while I was still eating (which is something I find quite unprofessional but the tables were on the smaller side so maybe that’s why) once I had finished she took away my plate and drinks and didn’t ask how it was, didn’t ask if we wanted anymore drinks, nor the bill… she said NOTHING to us. We sat there without a drink and no staff members to ask as they were all sat at the other end of the place, we got up to go and paid while the girl in the hoodie was just sat chatting. Personally based on the service alone I would not go back to this restaurant.

Although the food was tasty, the service was horrrible. We had to order a "valid meal" if we wanted drinks. They did not take away our dirty plates and were unfriendly. The food was alsp quite expensive

Had a great lunch at Stax today with the family. Very friendly service and one of the best fried chicken burgers I think I’ve had. They were also very accommodating with my youngest’s allergies.

Visited Stax with my partner and the service was amazing. Was greeting by a lovely guy (Krys) who quickly took our order. The cocktails were faultless, I had the apple cinnamon and it tasted just like Christmas! Thank you Veronika! The food looked exactly like the pictures and tasted so good! Visited for the first time and would go back again. We went with our young son (7) and it was busy so we were seated by the window seats but we’re moved to a table as soon as one became vacant. Servers were great we were served by 3 different servers, food came out and all of it was piping hot and tasted amazing, I definitely recommend the lemonade it was great.

Josiane served us and was really professional, food was worth it! Really happy with this place and I recommended it on a day out with friends.

From the moment you walk through the door the vibe and amazing customer service begins. We were served by Krys. Very polite and speedy. The food was good quality and brought out in good time. From the beginning i felt unwelcomed by 2 of the staff members who have really a bad attitude ! Literally i was waiting for 10 minutes just to take the order !
