Garrick Arms in City of London, Westminster

For being one of the busiest areas in one of the busiest cities in the world, you would not expect to feel at home in a busy pub. But Amina does this to the place. My friends and I would come back every time we are in the city centre just because we know that the way she hosts will make us feel looked after in a way we don't usually find in other pubs. There are plenty of pubs to choose from in central London, but the service at the Garrick Arms really makes you want to come back again and again. Thank you Amina!

Alex and Louise have been a dream when serving us. They were really friendly and the drinks were made really quickly

Wow... this is the best fish and chips I've ever had. I've tried a few famous places, but this one has good prices and the taste is superior!! It goes especially well with IPA!!! I want to come again

Easter Sunday. Food was OK. Bar staff good. Table of Americans being their loudest spoiled the music. Friends of bar staff though. Overall ok. Reasonably priced for post theatre food and drinks.

Music to loud for the speakers. Rude staff who physically touch you. Alcohol taste fake and overpriced.

Today, I arrived with a party of six for dinner and drinks, and the bar manager told me that we had 30 minutes to eat and leave. Half the pub was empty. I don't know how that is healthy for your business.

Nice and relaxed pub in central with reasonably priced drinks! Only complaint is the music level when it’s quieter inside with fewer people, we could barely hear ourselves think let alone talk to each other.

Very attentive bar staff when I visited last Friday evening for drinks.

No disabled!! Disgusting!!! 15 pounds for 2 flat Moretti beers. But the worst thing is the bathroom, 4 narrow cubicles, without even the possibility of entering them. There is also no bathroom available for disabled people on Wheelchair. Super not recommended

found this spot as its right across the street from my hotel. excellent service, along with good food and a nice chill environment that isnt so typical in an area with crowded, loud pubs. thanks again!

We came in today for a quick drink, our beer was lovely and being the afternoon it was quiet so we sat by the window to people watch which we enjoyed

THEY STOLE MY BAG ⚠️⚠️⚠️ 🚨🚨‼️‼️!!!!!!! We lose a bag and we came bag the next day they said the cleaner service found it and they will give it us the next day. And finally they told us that it was not our bag but it was our. Lier and unprofessional.

This is an incredibly busy and loud venue next door to the Garrick Theatre. Best for drinks. Good place to meet up pre theatre. We had dinner. However in the future I’d only have drinks.

Booked to eat with family, who were visiting London for a show. Ideal location and food was good. Would definitely return.

Locale veramente molto carino, ordinato e pulito. Ho assaggiato un mix di piatti che ho trovato molto gustosi e presentati veramente bene. Il personale poi è stato davvero accogliente. Chicken burger was wet inside, which I consider to be uncooked. Will not be eating here again.

I was the only one waiting for a drink at the bar, I'm 6ft tall hard to miss, yet the female server, looked at me walked past me, then decided to turn around after 2 mins and asked me what l would like. I was standing there with cash in hand.

As a regular at the Pub, this the authentic London Pub experience that one can have at one of the most iconic corners at Leicester Square. Amina the manager her is terrific at her job and is always so welcoming to the regulars. Handy for the theatres, we stopped for dinner before a show. Food arrived quickly and was decent and a fair price for the area. I went for the unruly burger which came with chips. Rather loud inside and had to eat at the bar but it was the week before Christmas! Probably worth booking a table although we were happy perched at the bar Free water available too👍

Cosy pub near Leicester Square station. We went there on a Sunday and had a great time. When we arrived, the staff greeted us with a warm smile, which I always appreciate. The food was delicious and well presented, although the portions were a bit small for our liking. Nevertheless, we left feeling full. In the late afternoon, they had live music which was the cherry on top. The atmosphere became even more enchanting with the lovely piano and voice music. We had a fantastic experience and definitely plan on coming back. I highly recommend it!

Cute pub but slow service and horrid food. The maple glazed pigs in a blanket were so terrible we could not even eat them, as they tasted as though they had been reheated 5 times in the microwave.

Decent but expensive pub in touristville

Estuve unos días de visita en Londres y tenía claro que una de las cosas que quería degustar era un plato de fish and chips. Éste lugar nos pilló de paso, cerca de Trafalgar Square y aprovechamos para degustarlo. Un plato combinado con un pescado rebozado tipo gabardina acompañado de patatas fritas. El espacio es pequeño, pero con 3 mesas para poder comerlo tranquilo. Un servicio normal, donde pides en mostrador, recoges y te sientas.

Nice casual dining on a Saturday night. Busy but staff coping well and polite. Food was great... pulled pork and gravy fries with the chicken and haloumi tray was brilliant for 2 to share before a show.

Amina is the life and soul of this place… Her and the team awesome. Great beers and atmosphere for an after work drink or two, or if you are looking for some wholesome pub food. And live music at weekends too :-)

Wir haben verschiedene Gerichte probiert mit den tollen Ratschlägen der Kellnerin Amina und war alles super lecker!Dank des freundlichen und sehr hilfsbereiten Personals hatten wir einen schönen Abend. No green king beer available despite being a green king pub. Also wouldn't serve food to tables past an arbitrary line on the floor, but nothing to explain this until you've chosen a table!

Stopped off for a quick drink and a bite to eat on route to the station. A fantastic steak pie and a well poured pint of Guinness. Will be back.

Abbiamo pranzato in questo pub non molto lontano dalla National Gallery in quanto avevamo letto buone recensioni, ma in realtà la nostra esperienza non è stata positiva. Dato che la mia amica aveva segnalato problemi con alcuni alimenti, ha chiesto consiglio allo staff che alla fine le ha portato un semplice hamburger al piatto con due foglie di insalata per la modica cifra di 15€. Per non parlare del fatto che avesse richiesto delle patate al forno (avendo problemi con il fritto e avendolo segnalato) e le sono state servite delle patatine pre-fritte cotte al forno. Per quanto riguarda il fish & chips assolutamente mediocre: panataura molto scura e pesante. Al contrario, le patatine, sebbene non molte, erano buone.

Lovely and cozy atmosphere. Food is delicious and the quality is definitely higher than what the area has to offer. Service is impeccable and Amina is an extraordinary host!

Just came in for drinks on a night out, Brilliant little pub friendly staff and the music was banging.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Service was excellent, fast and thoughtful. We were placed in a corner as we were a little daunted by how busy and noisy it was. (Fine and exciting for younger people.) The food arrived very promptly and the manageress checked on us more than once. She made it a very positive experience.

Popped into the Garrick Arms for a quick lunch and was extremely impressed with not only the friendly service but the quality of the food was absolutely fantastic. I had fish and chips, the food was hot and fresh, some of the best pub food I have had in London. Amina the pub manager was very friendly and knowledgeable, her knowledge of wines and spirits was very helpful. I will definitely be making another visit soon.

I found this gem of a pub when searching Google Maps desperately for hours trying to find a decent pub that had a varied menu suitable for a pescatarian (which is harder than it sounds) when planning a day out for my mothers birthday. We were greeted very warmly by Amina on arrival and shown to our seats, since we had seen the menu we already knew what we wanted. Really quick service, excellent food extremely tasty would highly recommend The unruly, Nduja burger and the Gochujang Salmon, perfect blend of flavours. Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming service, excellent food and choice of drinks. Hope to visit again soon.
