Station Tavern in Fylde

Had a lovely meal with my mum and granddaughter. The food was all hot and very tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning

I hadn’t seen my sister in a while so we decided to have lunch there this afternoon. We thought we’ll return as we enjoyed our last visit so much. We ordered the same as far as food was concerned, last time it was a red pepper soup which tasted home made with half a cheese and pickle sandwich it was really tasty. We remarked to the young lady who served us on our way out that our meal wasn’t nice and my sister said she wouldn’t have a meal here again, but we really should have asked for the manager. Two gentlemen came in after us and got served before us we had noticed, we seem to have waited quite a long time and kept looking round. The soup was leek and potato, it was warm not hot, tasteless, the cheese sandwich was dry and it was served with a bit of salad and tortillas, the latter in all honesty was the best part of the meal.

We all had a lovely meal..the fish pie was tasty but massive portion. Friendly staff & great service from a lovely young girl.

Here to celebrate a family member's birthday was extremely loud, although that can be expected considering it's live music night. A bit too loud though, to the point where I feel like I've sat there and not spoken to anyone the food and service, however, were excellent!! The food came super speedy and all meals were delicious, no errors whatsoever. Would recommend, however, if you dislike a loud environment defo avoid Saturdays. ☺

Great pub and grill , fantastic staff really professional and kind , look after you really well and also it’s a dog friendly place and that’s another reason why we love it there.

Nice food, good atmosphere, horrendously bad attitude from the higher management staff. I don’t usually write bad reviews however, One member of staff was playing darts the other constantly texting on his phone. Stood at bar alone for 10 minutes. Shame used to be such a great pub

Visited the Station Pub & Grill for the first time on NYE with friends. They were offering a three course dinner and the amazing Ska Face band were performing with 3 sets throughout the evening. All 5 of us had the most fabulous night with great food and entertainment. It was amazing value for money and Ska Face was magnificent as usual. All the staff were so helpful and friendly and came to check that our food was to our liking and cleared our bottles and empties regularly. The drinks prices were also good. What a fabulous place! Thank you to everyone who made it an amazing well organised and fun experience. I will be checking what other bands will be performing soon so we can all visit again.

Don’t usually review, however had to big up Daniel & the staff for the Christmas Day hospitality, special mention to the guys in the kitchen on their perfectly cooked dishes. I had the fillet… medium rare! Perfect!

I pre booked our table which I would recommend and requested a quiet table due to our dog. We bot had the Sunday Roast Beef dinner. The food portion was good and very reasonably priced. There is parking nearby and about 20 minutes walk to the Promenade. The area is disabled friendly and the staff were very welcoming. I would definitely visit again.

Loved it here. Great atmosphere. We were really surprised at not only how friendly all the staff were, but how lovely and warming the whole place is. Yes, it was a Friday early evening and very busy, which helps to the ambiance, but all in all everyone was enjoying themselves. There were tables with a large group of work colleagues, those with friends and others, like ourselves, couples or just solos. All age ranges too. Excellent range of real ale and with a CAMRA (Campaign For Real Ale) discount on a pint. No idea about the food, but it seems to be well thought of from what another customer told us when we were looking at the Christmas menu. Doggies are very welcome, especially by one of the barmen, who came along to each one and made a big fuss of them. Kjeep up the good work!

Another fantastic meal with our family. The Roast Beef Sunday dinner was lovely and we got extra gravy. Our four grandchildren ate everything, all enjoying their meals. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. A credit to the Station.

We nipped into the first place we could find as we wanted a somewhat cheap and cheerful dinner- somewhere we could drop in without having to be dressed smart as we had been for an evening walk. The food was very much as expected- similar to that of ‘hungry horse’ chains. AKA: microwaved food presented in an over articulated way on the menu. I ordered the salmon (not expecting anything more than mediocre albeit costing around £15 I believe). My partner ordered the salt and pepper chicken burger. We think the ‘salt and pepper’ element came from the few peppers and onions within the burger. All in all, tasty meal- don’t go with the impression of being served home cooked pub grub as this is not the place. Would we visit again? No probably not but what we had was pleasant and satisfactory. Nice outdoor area to sit and have a drink (if not surrounded by punters). (:

Great location,good choice on menu & pricing spot on .. staff are lovely & we must give one particular male member (didn’t get his name 🤦‍♀️… ( tall with dark hair) who was behind the bar a shout out… very informative & pleasant !! Give this man a rise!!

So we love it here and again it didn’t disappoint We went for the Whitney tribute on Sunday and had a meal before the show You can’t fault the food, drinks or service but the tribute wasn’t the best and we were surprised that it wasn’t busier The staff and location are very good and we’d recommend it to anyone who’s not been Great outdoor area which must be very good on a sunny day If you’ve not tried it then do it’s next door to the station

This is really good food at a reasonable price. The staff are all most friendly and helpful, we initially had booked for a party of 6 but it turned out to be 9 people, it wasn't a problem for the staff at all. i would recommend it above most other places in Lytham.

We visited the Station for lunch on Friday 26th July 2024. I chose my food from the Specials chart and my wife had soup of the day - tomato and red pepper and the "posh" fish pie. I chose lamb koftas and then scampi with chunky chips and a side salad. The first thing you notice is that everything is prepared after you order. The soup tasted as if made on site and was lovely and my wife kept saying how good the fish pie was with meaty chunks of white fish and king prawns. My lamb koftas with tzatziki tasted every bit as good as eating them in Greece and there was plenty of scrumptious beautifully cooked scampi with crisp chunky chips. I opted for a side salad as there were no garden peas available and I was not disappointed. With drinks the total cost was just £50 which is excellent bearing in mind the quality and quantity of what was served up. The Station pub and grill is now on our preferred list and we will go back. The staff are friendly and attentive without being pushy.

Superb, we booked a table to watch England, table was ready, food was great, not overly impressed with plastic glasses though, but completely understand why! We will definitely go back.

Booked very late for somewhere to eat and drink before Shania Twain at Lytham Festival. Despite the late booking and Lytham being very busy, our table was reserved and waiting for us when we arrived much to our relief, as everywhere else was full. Food was good value, delicious pub grub. Drinks very reasonably priced. We sat inside but the outdoor area is lovely too. Staff friendly and attentive. Great place if you want somewhere in Lytham that doesn't break the bank, and isn't too snooty! Location great too - right outside the station.Will definitely be back next time we're in Lytham.

A great pub, with excellent food and first class service. They have a separate gluten free menu as well and just cannot do enough for you.

A thank you meal by our son. Excellent food and services Was able to my watch my football team on numerous screens. Rump steak etc. for me and plenty of choices for other family members. Table football and pool available and there are gigs offered on a regular basis.

Come for the quiz, Steven is very inclusive and makes it a very fun night, just a shame it’s a Sunday, the atmosphere is as good as it gets

Good food and service was greeted at door shown to table which we reserved paid more and had worse service at other places. Worth a visit.

I like the Station Pub and the food is usually spot on but we visited on Easter Sunday and two of us had the Gammon Sunday Lunch. All I can say is I’m glad my dog was with me to finish off the fatty, rubbery meat. The veg was a mush and the potatoes undercooked. To be fair it was heaving and the staff under pressure but it was the worst food I’ve ever had in there.

Great location. Partner wanted to watch the rugby, the pub facilitated both the football and the rugby in different rooms. Excellent check in. Every staff member excelled in customer service. Definitely stay again..

It was one of those days when I fancied a pudding, not a dessert, a pudding! Chose sticky toffee pudding and by 'eck I wasn't disappointed. 👌 👍 Really lovely staff too, and a great atmosphere. Chatted to a couple from Oldham or are moving to Lytham - they've already decided that this will be their new local 🍺

Just been for Sunday lunch I had the beef husband had lamb What can I say the beef was perfect I prefer mine quite well done but was no problem the chef made it exactly as i wanted. The food is definitely freshly made and those Yorkshire puddings are to die for. Waiting staff very attentive and bar staff ...Luke couldn't have been nicer. We will be back

Absolutely spot on, again! The food and service were superb. I had the lamb and the missus had the roast beef (Sunday lunches). Plenty of meat and the roast spuds were to die for. Thanks again guys and chef, we will be back!!!!

Went for an evening meal, curry night, Madras wasn’t available so choose Rogan Josh, which was very tasty and with a pint of Robinson ‘s bitter. My partner had a sweet chilli starter with a side of fries. Brilliant staff, a very pleasant visit.

Visited after having a lovely meal in summer, decided on the Gourmet cheese burger, station fries and coleslaw. Burger was lovely and very tasty as were the fries which were seasoned and delicious....the coleslaw was disappointing and tasted awful it was lacking carrot and cabbage and was basically mayonnaise, those who had this agreed it was really bad. Sausage and mash was amazing and looked and tasted really good. Staff on the bar and waiting on were really efficient,polite and a credit to the station management. Prices reasonable for pub grub. Coleslaw needs refining.

After a great Chippy dinner on Monday I decided to try the Thursday Curry Club at the Station Pub. A good choice of curry - I chose Chicken Rogan Josh and rice and ... ... it barely touched the sides! Best pub curry I've had in years (since the Halfway House in its heyday). Piping hot, mildly spiced and absolutely 😋. I'll be back to try all the curries👌 Now washing it down with a pint of John Smiths 🍻 all for £14.95 The Station Pub is the starting point for many of the 'Walks from the South Fylde Line' - a great book of local walks 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

40 years we have been in the food and hospitality business and this was by far the worst meal we've ever had. A slice of salmon swimming in a huge pool of cold cream! A salad with fried to death tasteless haloumi. The bar staff and waitress were outstanding but whoever put together the tragedy of a meal should be enlightened or shamed. We did not ask for refund. We paid up front and honoured our debt but I would never eat here again.

The Station Pub & Grill was chosen as the dining experience for Mum's 85th birthday lunch, who lives local to the area. It was a great chance to get some of the siblings in the same room at the same time. Myself and my wife had the furthest to travel. The food was very good and well presented. The prices were excellent for the quality of food on offer. We were a party of 9 people and on looking around I could see 9 empty plates at the end. A gem of a restaurant and we will be back. We came here on a cold wet raining Sunday morning. We had the breakfast barm. Ordered really quickly drinks came quick. It was lovely to sit jn a pub that was warm so we could heat ourselves up. Plus it's dog friendly which works for us as we had our dog in tow. Food was pipping hot amd really.nice. A great visit awesome staff and great food. Everything I could ask for really.

From start to finish, incredible service, polite and the food well that was spot on!! Greeted at the door within seconds and sat down and told how it all works, went to the bar to be told before I ordered due to being busy we have ran out of some things, no issue there I appreciate the honesty but all ordered with drinks, had a laugh at the bar with the member of staff too, they brought the coffee over! Food was top notch, burgers was incredible and my son couldnt eat all his it was a belter, upon clearing the plates one of the managers made a funny comment about our choice of football team then his manager came over to say " dont worry ill sort him out" brilliant banter fun atmosphere, this is now our go too place you wont be disappointed!! thankyou so much guys!

New Year Eve meal and the Deadbeats, Right from the start of the booking the attention to detail from the staff was excellent , great communication about our meals we had ordered. Value for money for the 3 course was far better than any of us expected,the service from the girls waiting on the tables was very good, polite ,friendly and professional. Food arrived on time, all piping hot and good size portions , the steak was large and cooked exactly as requested. The manager was excellent and polite , enquiring if everything was ok. Lovely desserts then followed the evenings entertainments. The manger and all his team should be very proud of an excellent all round service. I wouldn't hesitate eating here again.

Food rock hard took an hour and a half to come out, one fish was rotten as you can see from my picture it looked like it had been sat there since christmas, to be fair the other fish was cooked to perfection and the sausage, mash and gravy was nice apart from the peas being a bit hard, one fish lukewarm one fish piping hot, not a great experience as mate left still hungry and needed to go somewhere else to eat
