So disappointed I took my friend for the first time. I asked for scampi.... hadn't got any My friend asked for mixed grill...no gammon!! This really isn't acceptable

Popped in today for a spot of lunch. I had Chicken and Bacon salad, it was absolutely lovely, so much filling and attention to detail. My hubby had soup (Tomato and Basil) never been that quite in years, he throughly enjoyed it. What a little gem, the prices are unbelievably cheap. See you all real soon, thanks 😊

Good tasting food and a good range of beers

Stopped in for lunch on way to Blackpool and very glad we did. Nice warm welcome. Both ordered the Linguine which was hot, very generous portion and delicious, standard well above the norm. Highly recommend.

The meal was excellent apart from the chips

Had to send my beer back as it was flat the beer was replaced with another which was cloudy a very long wait for our food which when it turned up was very basic a very disappointing experience

Ordered 2 beer battered fish,chips & peas for me & my wife...fish wasn't good over cooked dried up fish inside batter over cooked to a dark crisp oil needed changing in my opinion, wasn't worth £13-99 chips over cooked and dry needs improvement was not good warton resident! Looked nothing like the advertised picture! We ate most of it as we had been out all day znd was starving mentioned it to the bar lady

Easily the worst fish and “chips” I’ve ever eaten. Grey cold fish, chewy batter, mushy peas that taste like soot and soggy fries under my fish. Dry chicken in the roast and the garlic bread with the lasagna was terrible. The pub itself is friendly and enjoyable, just don’t eat the food.

Great opening night. It's a lovely village pub. Very welcoming. Good range of drinks on offer. We didn't eat, but the menu looked good.

Had a really nice meal on Sunday 15 th December. We felt really sorry for the poor bar maid she was on her own serving food clearing tables and serving at the bar.

Just had a wonderful Sunday lunch. Locally sourced meat and fresh vegetables. Everything cooked to perfection and the beef from the village butcher moist and tender. Extras like buttered leeks and both mash and roast potatoes are a nice touch. There is a new management team and so far they are doing a great job. We will return regularly.

Scruffy miserable grumpy barwoman on her own couldnt cope ...dogs paradise your surrounded by dogs dont get me wrong i have 2 but come on i wouldnt take my dogs in a pub serving food unkess they have a deligated area.We tried to eat a meal with 2 yappy little dogs and 2 large ones barking .1st time and last time i will go there

We called into have a few drinks and a meal on friday . Met the new landlord, very friendly. The meal was fantastic will definitely going back.

Great pub with great well cooked food. Pub undergoing some redecoration but not a problem, at lunchime we had a fresh chicken wrap and chips and sausage and mash. Both well cooked, fresh and great value as a smaller portion on the lunch menu.

Wow, quiet doesn't begin how it was, we had to ask if they were ok staying open as we watched the second half of a champions League match, very poor , service was amazing but atmosphere nil.

Very underwhelmed by our meal this evening. Starter and main course arrived at the same tome, not ideal. Kids pizza that was advertised is actually cheese and tomato on a relatively untoasted baguette. Roast beef dinner- very greasy toasties and tough meat plus no proper mustard or horseradish. Won't be rushing back

Came here a couple of years ago and the food was nice, not sure if it’s changed hands. Frozen roasties which were dry, paid extra for the sea salted roasties (you only get 4!) couldn’t see or taste any difference to the ones with the meal! Roast beef dry and tough, as though it had been cooked, frozen and reheated in a microwave. The Yorkshire pudding was the best part! Gave a 3 as on average the meals we had as a group were ‘edible’ but not everyone had the roast. The roasts are not value for money, better off going to a carvery. Although the deserts were nice this was an overall a disappointing trip.

Went it to be stared at like we weren't welcome, a sign as soon as you walk though the door saying "kitchen closed" and after buying 1 drink everyone disappeared. Not like it used to be, such a shame 😢😢😢

Bad service and rudeness off the landlord. Didn't know how to sort a promotion on the till. Insulting towards a customer because of what they were wearing.

The food was clearly frozen and tasted awful! I ate here after hearing a friend of mine worked here and then found out that the landlord, Phil, wasn’t paying his staff! After looking into him further I found out that he has a history of doing this and also not providing wage slips! Highly illegal! I would not eat here again if you paid me to do so, not for the quality of food but because I can’t support someone who doesn’t pay their staff! Anyone who critisises them on Facebook is blocked from their page to create a bias outlook of their pub!

Dont order Fish chips and mushy peas the food took a while to come out so I thought it would be fresh and look amazing. The fish batter was brown looked like it had been trodden on about 5 times, mushy peas where just a dry lump of green chips full or grease 🤢 I would of been embarrassed serving that

I came to get some food on Saturday with my partner. At the bar we were informed that the kitchen was closed due to staff emergencies, which is annoying but how could we argue with that?. Me and my wife settled for a few drinks before we were told to leave as they were closing the pub, due to these “staff emergencies”. Turns out, later on facebook it was revealed the landlord hadn’t paid their wages! It’s a shame because their opening weekend was quite decent if i do say so, the food and service has always been good. Just a shame that landlords can think they can take the mick out of young people these days

Sunday dinner could cut through the beef and frozen veg

Come here most weekends for some food and a drink the food is amazing never had a problem with it the salt and chilli chips are to die for !! Nice atmosphere with friendly staff can't really ask for much more.

The pub may look spacious on the outside but very cramped inside. Looked like the pub was being run by young teenagers who were all dressed in casual clothes. I phoned up before we went to check that they were still serving food, with it being Easter Monday. Told them there was 4 people plus a baby. We were put right by the kitchen, who were blasting music. My son was sat at an angle as the TV was jutting out of the wall. The waitress took our drink order. We gave her our order. While we were waiting for our starters another table was seated, served with drinks and food before our garlic bread with cheese was brought out. The garlic bread was pretty hard on the bottom which made it hard to eat, but my 2 teens ate it anyway. The mains were ok, all be it small portions for the price. To be honest I couldn't wait to leave as we felt extremely cramped and didn't feel welcome at all. Don't think we will be returning any time soon.

Had the Sundsy lunch, the beef was like leather and I was unable to eat it, also the parsnips were overcooked and hard. Complained but this wasn't dealt with very well at all. I would not recommend eating here

Good traditional English Pub with warm friendly bar staff, good beers and tasty food. Pub really moving in the right direction.

Lovely dog friendly pub. Allowed all 3 of our border terriers in and offered a water bowl. Lovely atmosphere and we felt very comfortable whilst in there. Sometimes when we have the dogs with us we feel uncomfortable or on edge. There was none of that here. We will most definitely be back when we are in the area.

Went with a party of 20 for Christmas mea. Good food, service a bit slow, long time between first and last main meals served with long gaps

We attended the Boxing Day brass band afternoon and were extremely impressed with the service from staff at the pub. We enjoyed drinks and pizza as well as the brilliant festive brass tunes xx we will definitely be back

Ordered pie and mash . Pie crust rock hard when l told the staff she said it’s ok don’t worry about it ! Then said if l had told them they would have done something about it . At no time did any staff come back to ask if everything was ok with our meal . Very poor service

Stopped here for Sunday lunch, £13.95, not the best by any stretch of the imagination, waited, about half an hour, if it was busy, thats fine, but it was quite, when it came, the roast beef was very hard to cut, even with a steak knife, some of the veg was over cooked, some not, some of our party had fish and chips and that was fine, but the Sunday lunch not, one young lad trying to do it all, serving at the bar and bringing out the food out, only cold water in the loos, and no soap, in either the ladies or the gents, not good enough, in places its clean but it does need a face life.

Had lunch not sure if it’s a new chef. But portion sizes have shrunk a lot. To how it used to be for the price. So give it a miss in future

One to avoid, just so noisey that you cant hear yourself think or talk. A bit scruffy too. Tables of lads vaping and swearing and being lewd. Had a single drinks round and left without finishing them.

Went in for a drink. Got bypassed by one staff member to serve someone else. Another staff member (female) dressed very inappropriately in shorts and a crop top helped herself to a drink but didn’t serve anyone. Third staff member served us but was also dressed quite inappropriately (TikTok pants) showed everything! Ordered a Malibu & Coke. No ice offered and served in a small plastic glass. Worse experience ever unfortunately

Basic pub food but was good it's a local drinkers pub, a lot of loud drunk customers swearing loudly so wouldn't recommend for a family but the staff were very friendly

Came here for tea whilst staying at the nearby campsite. This place is not geared up for food at all. The service was really poor. We waited nearly an hour for food when no-one else was eating. I then ordered 2 children’s cookie dough’s for pudding to be told the time it takes to cook is 20 minutes so we changed the order so we didn’t need to wait and then the alternative didn’t come for 25 minutes! The food that was served was just ok. Would definitely not recommend!

Absolutely amazing fantastic food and fantastic staff we fell on this place about 18 months ago we are here most weekends will not have a roast any were else we go some evenings too we live about an hour away but well worth the drive amazing place highly recommended

After a recommendation and good reviews I came here with my wife for our anniversary, mixed grill for myself, steak was a bit tough as it was more well done than rare, that I'd asked for, but I ate it because I was hungry, my wife sent hers back because she couldn't cut it, 5 mins later someone came over and asked if she wanted another one cooking, her steak was meant to be medium to rare, the first was clearly over done the second was only nice in the middle but still tough in places and I'd eaten mine by the time it came , but she ate through being hungry, nobody came over to check if her food was ok, when she paid the bill, she wasn't asked about the food, the worst £35+ we've spent, we ended up going to the ship for a beautiful dessert in a packed restaurant, where the staff couldn't do enough, so if you're thinking of bypassing other restaurants in favour of the coach and horses, think again, I don't normally post reviews, but we were both bitterly disappointed

Visited the pub for a meal whilst staying at a nearby caravan park. The staff were really friendly and the food, although it was your basic pub grub, was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

The food was excellent. The service was fabulous too. Can't fault it at all. They launching a quiz night was was also very good; the only issue is that there were not many people at the quiz; so we are putting the word out, Over all a great evening.

We went for a drink on Friday. I had lunch and the food was brilliant. As the barmaid told us, “cooked from fresh” and it showed. 100% quality. The barmaid was fantastic, friendly, funny and a credit to the Coach and Horses. Recommended.

Friendly service , however the sunday roast wasn't brilliant the veg was to hard to eat the food came out piping hot then went cold very quickly. Expensive for what it is. The coach and horses in Harrogate is alot better.

Had Sunday dinner. I had rack of lamb. Hubby had pork belly. Absolutely beautiful!!!!! Amazing service as usual, very friendly staff.
