Just in for the cask ales today ( first time in this spoons and it didn't disappoint 🍻)

Great place, love a wetherspoons, and the railway is a must, sunny day, sat outside, cool drink.

A well-maintained Wetherspoon pub located on Station Road, this two-storey property was purpose-built in 1847, next to Lytham’s first railway station. Since I started coming here, I have always enjoyed my meals and I find most of the staff here to be great. The one person who is ALWAYS pleasant, smiling and professional is Eleanor. Eleanor is a GREAT member of staff and always greets customers with a welcoming smile.

SASS (80S DRINK🤷‍♀️) It's a popular WELL KNOWN pint of strongbow cider & Carling larger with a squirt of black👌🏾 .... peep still drink SASS, in PRESTON we do. EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT SASS IS. ahh NOT IN LYTHAM THO. OF COURSE NOT. after explaining...they have to get a supervisor...then they serve it in 2 half pint warm wet glasses. 🤷‍♀️ 2025 guys... SASS😋

Undoubtedly the top Spoons on the Fylde Coast for the range and quality of cask ales on sale. Well worth a visit although the walk to the 🚽 is epic❗️

Everyone enjoyed their food and service was friendly, accurate and prompt. We had to clear our own table: extra staffing might help to keep on top of that.

Had to try the local Spoons. Usual great value and thus reasonably busy on a March afternoon. Ric " The Hat" got me to try a pint of Coach House Cheshire Gold, a lovely 4.1% beer from the March beer festival range. One of nine real ales on sale. Used a 50p off CAMRA voucher. It is in the Good Beer Guide and holds a Cask Marque. Slightly off put by the bar staff constantly shouting " Who's next?" In my many hours behind the bar I was taught to look up and know who was next. Your eyes should be constantly scanning! Pleasant Spoons with good front beer patio, side patio and rear patio. Trek to mens toilet upstairs .. or use disabled if not up to it.

Wasn’t overly impressed with this weatherspoons. Visited on a weekend for an early lunch. Very busy as pubs in this chain generally are. Tables full of dirty crockery. Food took ages to come, we later realised it had been sitting under the heat lamps waiting to be delivered. The barman was noticeably very stressed and shouting. Weatherspoons are obviously cheap and cheerful but they need to make sure they are well staffed.

Came upon this lovely hotel then realised it was a Wetherspoons. Was considerably busy for Thursday but managed to find a table. Although lots of tables still had plates and empty glasses on. Enjoyed a drink and decided to have a bite to eat. Ordered our food on the app and the drinks arrived promptly ✔️ After waiting over half hour my husband found the lady manager to enquire where the food was, the pub had quietened down, she radioed to the kitchen and said it would be another 15 minutes! We sat waiting nearly finishing our drinks for another 20 minutes with no food. I went to her again as we had not received our food and it had now been nearly an hour! (This is not the usual Wetherspoon policy of food within 15 minutes.) She seemed puzzled and said table 29 had been sent out! No it hadn’t! She said I’ll go and enquire but never returned to us to explain or apologise or offer any help! The manager then walked past us to take drinks to a nearby table upon which I enquired again where the order was after over an hour!! We only ordered 3 small plates for two of us so not a complicated order! As we were enquiring the food arrived from a male manager. The food was not hot but slightly warm but was so hungry didn’t want to return it. I am so disheartened with this wetherspooons and the managers who were not in the slightest Interested. Very disappointed 🙁

Lovely restaurant, staff very good and polite. Food great. Cleanliness of ladies toilets good. The only negative is the fact the disabled toilet is not kept locked for genuine disabled people. Men are using it all the time so they don't have to go upstairs. The toilet is dirty and smelly and the door is usually left wide open so the smell permeates throughout the restaurant. If the toilet can't be locked then a regular cleaning rota, every half an hour should be put into practice. My daughter in law who is disabled couldn't use it and we had to leave earlier than we would have liked.

Very good food and selection of drinks good value for money

Nice atmosphere & setting. Food the same as any other spoons and great value for money. Parking can be difficult but there is unrestricted parking on the side street by the beer garden

Usual Wetherspoons fair. Fish and chips were very good compared to others.

Had the worst experience here. February 1st March 2025. Sunny February for the time. Our stay in Blackpool we decided to go a bit further to St Anines, I wish I hadn't. The hostility I can't speak for the whole of the areas but I would never seriously want to come here. The service was ignorant to begin with. Just ignorant serving everybody else that wast first are anything. It was ignorant I'm not about being first. We spent about £25 on food and the food was below standard. We had to clean our own table, organisations it not the best. The bread was stale, the only thing cooked was the chicken. The rest was look warm. We then got some homophobic comments from the regular. And it caused us to tell them a few words. All of this I wish I'd never gone there but soon after eating we both felt stomach pain and needing to part with it. We didn't eat the a lot from it. It was trying to be a chicken burger but it came out less than few minutes. Horrible ace. No hospita8

This is by far the best Wetherspoons that I have been in. I've been in a lot up and down the country, and this is the only one where the places to eat are in sections. I dislike all the others which are one massive room, to me they aren't inviting at all. Well done to whoever designed this one 👍🥰

The Railway Hotel ( JD Weatherspoon ) is really good if you want a good basic Restaurant and pub, great meals at very competitive prices ( lemon roasted chicken) with chips or mash with a drink in the price of £11-50p and it was very good service which was quick to come to your table, with it being in Lytham which is a lovely place you are on a winner. Do try The Railway Hotel when you are next in Lytham. T.Sherwood

Best Wetherspoons Pub in the UK

Great breakfast portions & prices. I absolutely love this chain as a whole. Large selection of foods which is reasonably priced & service is extremely quick. I had ordered a beans on toast & my boyfriend had ordered a traditional full English. Both of our dishes came out just "warm" not hot as we would have enjoyed it. The hash browns that came with the full English were extremely hot though so they were obviously waiting for those to be done before bringing out our food.

Always a great breakfast here. A quiet atmosphere but that's how I like to eat my breakfast, personal preference. Refill coffee machine is always a bonus for me.

A great pub in a great location, however, the open fires in several corners of the pub is a let down for me personally however, if you like that sort of thing then you would love this place.

Foul language staff don't care. Visited today for steak night. Picked a table in the lounge on the left. After listening to foul language from the group of who don't care if they spoil someone's night with thier horrible faul language effing this and that on the long table in front of the bar on the left when you walk in we had enough. A party of four nice ladies also left. And so did we discusting. Won't come back thankyou Witherspoons staff for are horrible experiences.

We only went for breakfast but it was very busy. A long wait for the coffee machine but they had explained they were both out of milk. The place was nice although toilets not very clean. The food would have been great - but it was only just warm. She brought it with the comment ‘sorry for your wait’. We said we hadn’t waited too long. But once we started eating we realised - she must have known the plates had been sat at the pass for too long. It was absolutely spoiled by being far too cold. But no one did a check back to see how our food was, we were starving so we ate it and left. Would I go back? Probably not because there’s plenty of choice in that area.

Tried this place as we were given a Wetherspoons gift card and finally got babysitters. Wouldn’t have gone otherwise having read a couple of unkind reviews. However, my wife and I had a great time. I know we don’t get out much but the staff were amazingly nice and friendly, especially the lady who took our food order and the young girl who took our drinks order. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very tasty. I had steak pudding with lots of chips, my wife delicious soup and cheese salad. It was crazily cheap. We could park outside the door. I liked that we could find a cozy spot on a cold stormy night, but more sociable spots were available. Our only criticism was they took too long to remove our dishes. Everything else was prompt. We will definitely go again when we can get rid of the kids!

Fairly typical Wetherspoons, decent food and drinks, for a reasonable price. Service is usually good, but I've had a couple of blips on that score, although nothing to bad.

Standard Spoons food, excellent and mega quick service despite it being really busy after the Windmill 10k.

I liked it, very popular. We didn't have any food. First place we sat had slug trails under the table. So that was a bit off putting.

Saturday late afternoon/early evening, it was very busy, inside and out. We struggled to find a table. It’s a bit unfair to really judge it, as table service was slow, but accept it was so busy. Will return and can hopefully give a more accurate review.

Nice Spoons, really liked the lack of carpet. 2 outside seating areas. Was blown away by the bathroom tiles in the bog, pebble style, really nice and fitting to the location.

Really nice pub, very big inside and well lit. Good service and great value for money. On sunny days it's a real sun trap at the back.

Only called in for a drink 🍷🍷the last time I was in here it was called the Hansom Cab🤔 but it was very well maintained pub with really nice staff 👍will call in again and probably eat next time.

I had steak, kidney pudding and chips .The lower part of the pudding was that hard l could not cut it with a knife .I would not recommend it

Great place. The only one I have been in without the lavatories being in the roof space. Great food at a reasonable price. Kronenburg was spot on.

Nice pub , friendly staff, decent food at reasonable prices

Visited around midday during the week at a quiet time with my puppy having been many times before without him and loved this pub. Saw the sign outside the door saying no dogs so sat down outside at the front and ordered on the App as usual. Was surprised and disappointed to find out they don't even allow dogs outside. Fortunately a lovely member of staff squared it with management at this time as I had already ordered food. Seems over the top not to even allow dogs outside but congratulations to staff member who had common sense when she saw it was a puppy.

Really busy even before 6pm,had to wait for a table. Understandably, as the atmosphere was exciting, buzzing with a buzz of freinly banter and the occasional firm call from the bar staff to get your attention to give you swift and great service. An amazing experience, and a must-do when in Lytham.

Very good drinks and refills of hot drinks - spot on. A very comfortable pub where the staff are courteous and efficient. However, the food is very hit and miss. I get that it is cheap - particularly after two o clock, but 12 chips in a meal? When did chips become a luxury commodity? Great sausages and bacon, fried egg ok - too many beans (as per - there are never too many sausages!), and b*gger-all chips. Please stop short-changing us on the fries. People do notice.

This has to be the cleanest Weatherspoons I have visited. Rapid pleasant service , good food, beer in excellent condition, and by no means least , no mounds of dirty plates and glasses and detritus on the floor ,as is usual on a busy day at this chain . Staff collecting used crockery and glasses as you finish with them , wiping tables and cleaning . I will definitely revisit next time I am in town.

Went today for the Lytham 1940s weekend. I had the Phenomenal gorgeous Big Breakfast, it came piping hot, with delicious coffee s from the refill coffee machine it went down great guns and absolutely delicious, couldn't fault it cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional even when paying for my meal and coffee and even a bit of banter with the bar maid and the waitresses. A very quick service about 15 minutes before my brickie came piping hot. The staff all had exceptional manners extremely friendly Phenomenal customer service skills and friendly banter even the managers. Wow it was a buzzing place the atmosphere with many locals I could overhear as well as a regular visitor like myself and virtually full, with more people coming in as I was leaving and noticed all tables even outside were full this was before dinner time 12 noon. Me and the girlfriends 1 of our favourite pubs on the Fylde Coast. We will be back time and time again, plus all meals are gorgeous her good prices exceptional beers and guest beers, Steak night Tuesday plus Drink and Curry Night and Drink Thurs not to be missed they are gorgeous 😋

Started our day out here for breakfast, 2 adults and an 11 year old. Good choice of food & free hot drink refills. Clean and quick service using the app. We'd go back if we're in the area again. Update July 2023. We've been back, 3 mobile signal poor and their WiFi dropping out lost 10 minutes of food ordering in the app at the payment stage so had to join the queue at the bar. Not the pub's fault but it's their WiFi. Food was good and turned up quickly. We'll be back again but won't bother using the app. August 2024, 1940s weekend. Place was as busy as I've seen a pub but the food & drink were delivered quickly. One of the better Wethers we frequent.

Bit echoey and loud but typical spoons otherwise

Visited for breakfast this morning and as usual all was great A lady collapsed on the table near us and the member of staff was amazing I think she was called Natasha She sat with the lady and was constantly re assuring her and her husband and was so calm and caring She stayed with them even after the ambulance arrived and then calmly went back to serving people In the pub A real credit to the establishment Well done

Love this place, we go virtually every week (sundays) it is a lovely wetherspoon, clean .I don't know why we like it , we just do. You can Sit out front behind glass or sit out back. Parking not to bad but on roads only. Pay during the week an free saturdays an sundays We don't dine in witherspoons, food not so great,
