Lovely friendly hotel. The bar food menu was good the only gripe was that there was not much choice for vegetarian meals. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A lovely place to stay for a few days break.

Rooms would be 5 star but no option for ground floor room nor lifts. Not an issue for us but could be for some. Parking on the street outside is sometimes possible, or pay and display opposite. Food is good with veggie options. Good value. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Clean and comfortable beds. Location directly overlooking the sea front. Ideal for Lytham festival.

Fantastic hotel/pub/restaurant on Central Beach, very happy with our room overlooking the estuary, a comfortable bed, modern bathroom, the room was serviced daily, and breakfast was excellent, there’s a good atmosphere in the bar so no surprise it’s popular, there’s seating outside to the front, free parking available along Central Beach by the hotel but it’s usual busy, there’s a council pay and display over the road.

We went for Saturday lunch on a sunny day, and my husband is in a wheelchair. The dining area was busy inside and out -but nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all lovely - really friendly and attentive in a genuine way. The food was tasty - I especially enjoyed the Bhudda Bowl which was tasty and plentiful. Great coffee too - served in a lovely cup (I am very particular about cups)! I really felt the staff were working as a team and enjoyed working there. It makes a difference. 👍🏻

It was the first time we had stayed at The Queens, however it won't be the last. Our room (the Queen Victoria) was lovely and spacious, with a lovely clean spacious bathroom. There was plenty of storage in the ornate furniture, four poster bed, two armchairs, tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely sea views from two windows. We had Sunday lunch there which was really good, and there was lots of choice at breakfast the next day, with the full English Queens breakfast freshly made to order. Staff were really nice and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will be back.

I really like this pub, it's by the sea just off Lytham green, very dog friendly and the staff are great. My only gripe and four star review is that i had a burger for my lunch, the most expensive burger on the menu (18.95!) but it wasn't a home made beef patty, there was two thin pre processed burgers, surely for this price you could make the burger in house? Only one freshly made patty would be so much better. But overall a great pub, but I'll not be getting a burger next time sorry.

Visited for evening meal on Thursday 6th Feb, before going to watch a show at Lowther Pavillion. Great atmosphere as soon as we walked through the door. Not been here in years, and realise what I’ve been missing. Lovely furnishings, friendly helpful staff, and the food is AMAZING. Plenty of choices on the menu. I chose lasagne, my daughter had the buttermilk chicken burger and my friend had the fish pie. All cooked to perfection, all tasted delicious. Will definitely be coming back here soon.

Fabulous!! Great Helpful Staff, lovely room, and gorgeous food.Stayed here for one night stay as we were visiting the Lowther Pavillion Theatre. Not knowing the area,as we live in Staffordshire, I phoned the Queens Hotel and spoke to a lovely lady name Rachel, she was extremely helpful, told us that the theatre was about 5 mins walk down the road etc, and where the hotel roughly was as we didn't know the area at all. We had a lovely time at the Queens Hotel, lovely clean room, the breakfast was just fabulous, nice and hot (not luke warm like some places), we had an evening meal at the hotel before going to the theatre which again was just gorgeous. I have just booked again for another stay in a few weeks time, spoke to another very helpful lady name Kayleigh, again, most helpful. Thank you Rachel and Kayleigh you have been great, hope your bosses appreciate you both, and thanks to ALL the staff at the Queens Hotel, everyone was most helpful and very friendly. Appreciated a lot. See you all very soon. Suzi & Brian

I booked a table for 2 for Saturday lunch (Oct 26th). The restaurant was very busy, and because we were early we had to wait. Not an issue. Bought a bottle of Spumante, and were shown to our table pretty much on time. Reece served us (5*). There were no undue delays, and we enjoyed a leisurely, rather boozy, luncheon over about 3 hours... No, The Queens is not cheap, but to my mind it is very good vfm... Well done the whole team!!

Been coming here for food most Sundays for yrs we love the roast beef, however just lately we have noticed they add a service charge on your reciet without even asking which myself and my partner find very very cheeky. We are not tite people and if service is good we don't mind tipping, but to just add it to your food and beverage bill without asking is absolutley ridiculous. The last time we came the service charge was over £6 we asked for extra gravy when our roast arrived but the gravy didn't come once our empty plates were removed from our table the waitress asked if we would like the gravy. (Errrrm no I don't thanks I don't want a jug of gravy to take home😂) still they added a service charge. I don't think this should be allowed if we feel we want to tip they should leave it up to us customers to decide. NOT JUST ADD IT TO YOUR BILL

We arrived at the Queens only about an hour before we were due at a funeral nearby. We’d had a terrible journey up from Bath and were very tired and stressed when we walked into the bar area. We explained that we were in a hurry and from then on everything was perfect. Within 15 minutes we’d been served the most delicious fish finger sandwiches and we were on our way refreshed and relaxed. The service was so warm and friendly, we will will definitely be back under happier circumstances. Thank you

We have been coming to The Queens for Lunches and Sunday Lunches for a couple of years now and previously have had a great time, with great food and great service. However, this time things have changed for the worse, the quality of the food had decreased, and undercooked potatoes, we asked for one of the meals not to have gravy, and there was gravy. The chicken was dry, the pork was undercooked. This was a family treat for my mum and aunt who had travelled up from Essex and we always have a meal here. My partner who paid did not want to complain on the day as he was so embarrassed that he called the next day to make a complaint and was told that they would call us back. They did not call back, so we called back today and were told "The chefs said everything was good, so you just had a one-off bad time and nobody else complained!" Well, the fact that a normally packed pub (if you don't have a reservation for around lunchtime you don't get a table) was half empty should have warned us, as obviously, the management does not care about complaints, so people are speaking with their feet and not going back. We will certainly NOT be going back and will take our custom to Miller & Carter in future.

Located at Lytham Green not too far from the windmill we’d previously popped here for outdoors drinks. This time we put food into the mix. I had the barbecue chicken flatbread with fries and, as a previous reviewer commented, was stunned they couldn’t even afford to give me breast at £18 for the dish. At that price I’d want high quality good flavours and didn’t get that. Flatbread itself was dry and the pink onions, hummus and bacon fries were pretty pathetic. GF had the rump steak sandwich and fries. At least her fries had escaped the “bacon” that was on mine. She said the steak wasn’t bad. The substituted peppercorn sauce she had with it was decent (I needed to dip my flatbread in to moisten it up a bit). A menu that reads well but delivers less well. Nice outside area though and great for new pooch.

Just awful. I went away with my young daughters and elderly mother, the music was banging until way past 11pm. I really don’t think there should be a family room available with that kind of racket. We then had to listen to bottles being thrown into the recycle bin right outside our window. We spent the whole weekend knackered, I thought this was a quiet eatery pub not a disco. The room was run down, foundation marks on the towel. Cracks in the bathroom tiles and old furniture. The carpet up the stairs was stained and worn. A complete waste of money and unpleasant experience.

The venue is in a fantastic position overlooking the sea and the outside seating area is large. Check in in the Bar area was fine and the bar looked busy and the food coming out looked good. Our issue was the rooms. The carpet on the way to the rooms was so badly stained and threadbare. This area smelt foisty. Our Room was in need of some TLC.Although it was clean, bed comfy and linen nice the room was really tired.Dressing table with no mirror,no plug socket near the full length mirror. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with biscuits and randomly a jar of jelly babies. Also two bottles of water. The bathroom was ok with a small shower that did have mould marks in it. It was exceptionally hot whilst we had our two night stay and the room was stifling. There was a fan in the wardrobe but it had little affect. Breakfast was very nice served by Mo who was delightful ( all the staff were nice) Lovely position, great staff but rooms need an upgrade.we paid £180 for two nights so not overpriced.

Nice atmosphere & setting. Food the same as any other spoons and great value for money. Parking can be difficult but there is unrestricted parking on the side street by the beer garden

Extremely disappointing, to be honest my husband really likes Cartford inn but I've always found it hit and miss. We have only ever been in the evening, however we decided to try Sunday lunch. The service is always good, very friendly staff, but this time the main Sunday lunch was awful. I had beef and my husband had the ham. The beef was fatty, you couldn't chew it and I really struggled to cut it, the roast potatoes were hard, the gravy was definitely out of a packet, the only good bit was the Yorkshire pudding even the red cabbage was over seasoned. When I complained it was removed from the bill. We won't be returning in a hurry, it's a 45 min drive from home, there is far better locally and they don't come under Michelin guide as Cartford does . That definitely needs reviewing.
