Fantastic. That's the word that springs to mind. Was there just before Xmas. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing was any trouble considering the place was busy. The breakfast service was as attentive. Essentially a pub with a boutique hotel vibe. Absolutely what a "modern" inn should be.

Visited mid week in January. It was naturally quiet, but we received a warm welcome. You can park outside on the road, but if not, there is a car park opposite(1.80 for two hours) The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Good choice of drinks and fleshly cooked food. Our food was excellent, particularly the Korean cauliflower bites they were amazing 👏. We will certainly be back.

I booked a table for 2 for Saturday lunch (Oct 26th). The restaurant was very busy, and because we were early we had to wait. Not an issue. Bought a bottle of Spumante, and were shown to our table pretty much on time. Reece served us (5*). There were no undue delays, and we enjoyed a leisurely, rather boozy, luncheon over about 3 hours... No, The Queens is not cheap, but to my mind it is very good vfm... Well done the whole team!!

Been coming here for food most Sundays for yrs we love the roast beef, however just lately we have noticed they add a service charge on your reciet without even asking which myself and my partner find very very cheeky. We are not tite people and if service is good we don't mind tipping, but to just add it to your food and beverage bill without asking is absolutley ridiculous. The last time we came the service charge was over £6 we asked for extra gravy when our roast arrived but the gravy didn't come once our empty plates were removed from our table the waitress asked if we would like the gravy. (Errrrm no I don't thanks I don't want a jug of gravy to take home😂) still they added a service charge. I don't think this should be allowed if we feel we want to tip they should leave it up to us customers to decide. NOT JUST ADD IT TO YOUR BILL

We arrived at the Queens only about an hour before we were due at a funeral nearby. We’d had a terrible journey up from Bath and were very tired and stressed when we walked into the bar area. We explained that we were in a hurry and from then on everything was perfect. Within 15 minutes we’d been served the most delicious fish finger sandwiches and we were on our way refreshed and relaxed. The service was so warm and friendly, we will will definitely be back under happier circumstances. Thank you

We have been coming to The Queens for Lunches and Sunday Lunches for a couple of years now and previously have had a great time, with great food and great service. However, this time things have changed for the worse, the quality of the food had decreased, and undercooked potatoes, we asked for one of the meals not to have gravy, and there was gravy. The chicken was dry, the pork was undercooked. This was a family treat for my mum and aunt who had travelled up from Essex and we always have a meal here. My partner who paid did not want to complain on the day as he was so embarrassed that he called the next day to make a complaint and was told that they would call us back. They did not call back, so we called back today and were told "The chefs said everything was good, so you just had a one-off bad time and nobody else complained!" Well, the fact that a normally packed pub (if you don't have a reservation for around lunchtime you don't get a table) was half empty should have warned us, as obviously, the management does not care about complaints, so people are speaking with their feet and not going back. We will certainly NOT be going back and will take our custom to Miller & Carter in future.

Located at Lytham Green not too far from the windmill we’d previously popped here for outdoors drinks. This time we put food into the mix. I had the barbecue chicken flatbread with fries and, as a previous reviewer commented, was stunned they couldn’t even afford to give me breast at £18 for the dish. At that price I’d want high quality good flavours and didn’t get that. Flatbread itself was dry and the pink onions, hummus and bacon fries were pretty pathetic. GF had the rump steak sandwich and fries. At least her fries had escaped the “bacon” that was on mine. She said the steak wasn’t bad. The substituted peppercorn sauce she had with it was decent (I needed to dip my flatbread in to moisten it up a bit). A menu that reads well but delivers less well. Nice outside area though and great for new pooch.

Great food at The Queen's Pub! The place has a really cozy and welcoming vibe. The staff were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was top-notch. We had a variety of dishes – the salmon salad was fresh and tasty, the chicken roast was cooked to perfection, and the duck salad was full of flavor. The Caesar salad was classic and well-made, and the Vegan Buddha Bowl was a delicious and healthy option. For dessert, the chocolate brownie was rich and indulgent, a perfect end to the meal. Just awful. I went away with my young daughters and elderly mother, the music was banging until way past 11pm. I really don’t think there should be a family room available with that kind of racket. We then had to listen to bottles being thrown into the recycle bin right outside our window. We spent the whole weekend knackered, I thought this was a quiet eatery pub not a disco. The room was run down, foundation marks on the towel. Cracks in the bathroom tiles and old furniture. The carpet up the stairs was stained and worn. A complete waste of money and unpleasant experience.

The venue is in a fantastic position overlooking the sea and the outside seating area is large. Check in in the Bar area was fine and the bar looked busy and the food coming out looked good. Our issue was the rooms. The carpet on the way to the rooms was so badly stained and threadbare. This area smelt foisty. Our Room was in need of some TLC.Although it was clean, bed comfy and linen nice the room was really tired.Dressing table with no mirror,no plug socket near the full length mirror. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with biscuits and randomly a jar of jelly babies. Also two bottles of water. The bathroom was ok with a small shower that did have mould marks in it. It was exceptionally hot whilst we had our two night stay and the room was stifling. There was a fan in the wardrobe but it had little affect. Breakfast was very nice served by Mo who was delightful ( all the staff were nice) Lovely position, great staff but rooms need an upgrade.we paid £180 for two nights so not overpriced.

We came for a family meal and had the set menu which was £26 for 2 courses !Prawn cocktail and a chicken burger shouldn’t be that much ! It should be about £12 for the burger and £6 for the prawn cocktail.. And it wasn’t even good! I was ill after it. The service of the 2 waiters was rude as well, young man with dark hair and a tall blond ish guy who I think may be higher up. I didn’t get the names, but the blonde / brown haired waitress was very friendly and helpful. I thought they were abrupt and rude and working in the hospitality industry myself i know it’s all in the delivery of the message to the customer what matters, it was the impatient and blunt tone that really wound me up, it wasn’t just to me it was to everyone, I understand Saturday night must have been busy and it was really hard work for them but service with a smile and a kind tone is what you HAVE to portray for over priced pub grub I’m afraid, not making us feel like an inconvenience!

Our first visit to the Queens for some time as we live over an hour away. It was up to usual high standards with great service and quality food at reasonable prices in these days of food inflation. We had lunch time sandwiches with a bowl of chips, they were great, the very helpful young lady who served us may remember my comments about the Clifton Arms giving us 9 chips a number of years ago, which was a complete rip off. I am also a fan of it's sister restaurant the Ship in Freckleton.

Went to the Queens on Sunday 10th for Lunch. I ordered the roast pork lunch, veg was great, pork which should have been the star of the show was inedible. The fat around the loin was unrendered, the flesh was rubbery & chewy, the stuffing in the middle had an odd taste to it. Service was average. We finished our meal, was waiting for our server to return, no sign of him. When we went to pay the response we got was dismissive. Sadly think the Queens has had its day. Definitely will be looking for a new venue. The staff definitely had more fun spraying each other with the table cleaner than looking after the customers. Such a shame 🫠

We stayed in the hotel and the rooms were lovely. No complaints on them at all. The breakfast was a slightly different story. The staff were lovely and came quickly. I ordered the Queens breakfast without tomatoes or mushrooms. The breakfast then arrived with both tomatoes and a giant mushroom which I gave to someone else after the smell of both made me feel sick. The bacon looked microwaved too, never seen a pan/grill. There was no black pudding either. When we mentioned it to the man who came over and asked for it, he said yes, but never returned. Not a huge complaint, but it's annoying when the room was £122 and included whatever breakfast you wanted from the menu. Unfortunately, I didn't really get mine.

This is my go to place whenever I’m in Lytham. Just love the place. However, recent visit was a disappointment. Table booked for 7:45 for Sunday dinner. Ok it was late and I realise that but all the Sunday roast dinners were gone except the veggie option. That was ok for my partner as that’s what she wanted. However, I had to order off the a la carte. Chose the lamb wellington. Really nice but here’s what I don’t understand. The veggie option came with all the Sunday roast trimmings so why could they not put all the trimmings on my lamb wellington?? Why just the mash and a few veg? It was obvious that all the Sunday roast trimmings were available so it would have been nice to have been given that choice. Still, I’ll be back because like I said it’s my go to place in Lytham.
