Station Place in Wiltshire

Should have walked out the second we were informed that moving 2 tables together to accommodate a family of 6 was inconvenient! Yes, those were the words used by staff. We were then told to move the tables ourselves if we wanted to sit together. Food arrived. Very awkward that we had to inform the staff that the chips were all cold. They were replaced. Menu stated the meals came with tartar sauce. Had to ask for this and were informed they do not serve it as per the menu states as people waste it. Gutted it was such a terrible experience.

We placed an order for 13 meals for the caravan and Motorhome club rally at the Beehive rally field. Our order was available to collect when requested, and the staff were friendly. The fish and chips were thoroughly enjoyed.

What a gem! The staff were so happy and friendly. Our food, a garden burger meal and cod and chips, were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Looked a nice place ,so thought we’d have something to eat here . We were told there was a twenty minute wait, which was fine but asked to use the toilet whist we waited only to be told NO because they were only for customers. So as you can guess we thought you can stick your fish and chips. But what a blessing in disguise. We went to the pub next door that had a burger van, absolutely amazing.

Harlees is our local fish and chip shop and I have never been disappointed. The staff are always friendly and the management run a tight operation so orders arrive super efficiently - whether takeaway or delivery.

Very disappointing as they don't take cash, even when presented with the correct change. I wouldn't go back there now. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

We were passing through Bradford-on-Avon and, on the spur of the moment, thought we would stop and have fish and chips--the restaurant looked enticing from the outside. However, the service was shocking--I have never done a review before but feel compelled to say something! Moreover, there are no caveats: the place was relatively quiet and there seemed to be a surplus of staff. From the get-go we had to wait nearly ten minutes to be handed a menu--there was no elaboration or indeed any effort to engage us. Thereafter, we had to wait a further five minutes for our order to be taken. Things were not promising. Consequently, I decided I would see how long it took for our meal to be delivered to the table: fish and chips, pie and chips and a cup of tea. The cup of tea arrived first... but no milk. I had to ask for milk. Then, 25 minutes later, the meals arrived. Imagine my dismay to find a paltry number of chips, a very small pie and, to add insult to injury, the meal was plated on what can only be described as a side plate. The fish and chips were advertised as accompanied by tartare sauce... which was absent. Our experience appeared to be consistent with everyone else who were left waiting an interminable amount of time to be served. My advice: do not use the restaurant.

We come here around once a month for takeaway fish and chips and it never disappoints.Good sized portions, nice fish and friendly staff. Certainly best in the area!

Drove here with my girlfriend to get fish and chips but the shop doesn't accept cash payments. Convenient for the shop but inconvenient for me, so I took my business elsewhere.

Had to come on and leave a review! Me and my 1 year old popped in for some lunch after swimming. We shared the fish cakes and chips - more than enough for the both of us! The fish cakes were the best I have ever had and the chips were really fresh and crispy. All the staff were really friendly (I didn’t catch names) and the restaurant was clean with plenty of space. Will definitely be coming back

We were in Bradford on Avon on a freezing cold day and wanted to find somewhere to have lunch. After trying several restaurants in the centre of the town and finding them closed we ended up spitting the fish and chip shop on the edge of the shopping area. It was bright and clean and warm in the restaurant and the food came pretty quickly. Food was excellent bar the cheesy chips. They had plenty of cheese on them but it was tasteless cheese. Possibly mozzarella? I much prefer the cheddar that our local chippies use.

Harlee's offers a "mini" portion of chips for £2 which is just right if you only want a snack, as I did. The chips were exquisite - crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, as they're supposed to be but seldom are. The staff are friendly and courteous, and there is an efficient ordering system whereby you are given a numbered ticket when you order, and that number is called out when your order is ready.

We sometimes enjoy their take away but decided to eat in to celebrate a birthday. Despite it being a really hot day, the restaurant was lovely and cool and we were shown to a comfortable table for six checking our needs with a highchair for our toddler and for a disabled grandparent. Three of us chose the special which included a drink and a buttered roll, one chose the veggie burger which will be a new favourite for future takeaways. The little one had a very generous child portion of chicken chunks which looked a very good quality and finally a plaice. Everyone’s meal was both generous and delicious. The fish was all beautifully cooked with lovely crispy batter, the burger was tasty and not the kind that pretended to be meat. The staff and service could not have been better. They were very welcoming and friendly, didn’t leave us waiting nor rushed us. They even joined in with a chorus of Happy Birthday! We commented afterwards on how rare it can be to find young staff who really understand good customer service. Well done Harlees, we had a really lovely evening, it was faultless, excellent value and we’ll be back !!

Served refried chips early evening. Last time the portions were small so we were giving it another go. If you're going id would ask if they Re fresh. Sad because we won't bother again.

Stopped on route with our Two granddaughters, a Bluemoon treat as we try not to do fasts food very often Firstly £33.70 for 2 med cod, chicken and mushroom pie a battered Sausage and 2chips with a curry sauce is excessive. My fish was the scrag end where the fillet goes into the ribs (?) so over cooked and dried up, wifes fish was notably paler and only just cooked, the sausage was ok, the pie was just warm and chips soggy. The curry sauce had a strange taste, probably because it was keep hot in a plastic container under the heat light. Very disappointing, won’t go back, strange tense atmosphere, the manager seemed very stressed.

The pensioner's meal was excellent. Not huge but very tasty and value for money. Service whilst very friendly was a little slow.

amazing food. I had a burger and decided to top this with bacon and cheese which the staff highly recommended, even told me it was her personal favourite, and can say that i do not disagree! The combo of the chicken and bacon is a flavoursome mouth full. To top this off with a side of giant onion rings and coleslaw makes this meal my favourite. The restaurant is spacious with a great view and the staff give no exception to any of their customers treating them ever so kindly. This is not my first visit but will not be my last! My partner and I purchased chips and experienced very rude staff. Whilst our chips were being cooked I went to the toilet, the toilets were well sign posted and one toilet had a ‘staff only’ sign, whilst the other had a ‘customer only’ sign. They were in no way blocked off. When I went in the customer toilet, a staff member began shouting very aggressively and demanded I come back out as it was not for customer use. I followed her instructions and I suggested that this be sign posted as it was not clear in any way. She continued shouting at me, telling me that I should have asked although the toilets were clearly open and signposted for use. The kitchen staff then shouted very rudely at the service member of staff

Came in tonight there was a young lady and gentlemen front of house they were both polite and helpful burger was lovely good amount of salad and sauce bacon was very tasty! This is a superb takeaway - since Harlees took over, we’ve had fantastic fish and chips on many occasions. The fish is fresh, delicious and perfectly cooked; likewise, the chips are the best around. To top things off, the set-up is really good and pre-ordering is great. And - the staff members are personable and helpful.BoA is lucky to have such a good fish and chip shop. Visited tonight to get food for my grandparents both had a small cod and chips the chips were delicious and the fish was the perfectly cooked so i have been informed i will definitely visit myself and go again for my grandparents! Went in this week and order on arrival we had a cod and chips, chicken burger and kids sausage meal food was quick staff were lovely! I felt very safe in the store with COVID measures. Food was packaged nicely and good size portions, food was brought out to my car which was very kind! Went in for a fish and chip supper with my wife and ended up coming home with a feast! We had the curry loaded chips it was a very good amount and good flavour curry sauce! We ordered a large cod and it was massive enough for 2 with chips good quality fish lightly battered, onion rights were very large and tasted fresh again lightly battered and homemade! Scampi was a generous portion and had a lovely breadcrumb! Our son had a beef burger with bacon cheese and onion rings and said it was very tasty it was certainly a big burger, we also had some chicken nuggets to share good quality chicken inside. The chips were lovely cooked. We also tried battered creme eggs and they were lovely as were the mars bar and pineapple fritters all made good sharing desserts!

We went on good Friday it was very busy we were served by the lovely Jade and served by another lovely young lady there was a small wait by that was expected they were all lovely and smiling despite being extremely busy when we got the food home the food was still very hot and portions were exactly generous! Chicken chunks were all a really good size big chunks of good quality chicken inside and the fish was cooked to perfection! Thank you guys for the Easter treat!

Always been a loyal customer at Station Plaice and now Harlees. The last takeaway was not in peak time & despite grumpy staff member the order was despatched quickly. Today's visit was at teatime. I waited for half an hour and then asked when my order would be ready (we were all queued outside in the cold!) I was gruffly told by grumpy staff member that it would be another 5 minutes at which point I asked for a refund - which was given without any question or hesitation. No apology for the delay just apathy towards all customers! We won't be going back.

Just had a great day out in Bradford on Avon, followed by the most gorgeous chips from Harlees. The lovely lady who served us was friendly and helpful. As vegetarians we are quite limited for choices. Chips, pea fritters and garden fritters with good coffee. Highly recommend.

Visited Harlees after a lockdown walk and was seriously impressed.Probably the best chicken nuggets I've ever tried and delicious light fluffy batter on my haddock.We were served excellently by Missy who was really helpful helping me find something on the menu for both my daughters and once the food came I actually went back into the shop to give my compliments to the chef. Incredible food as always! Went in last week as a late minute tea after a busy day i was served bu the always friendly Jade and food was cooked to perfection by corrine! I tried the chicken nuggets/chunks and they did not disappoint they were all a good size evenly cooked with a good layer of batter not too thick and soggy. My partner had the chicken burger it was good value for money served in a fresh roll very good quality food! We will look forward to returning for our golden chip fix and try more off the menu! We order fish and chips fortnightly and have done for a good while. Every week, we are delighted with the quality: gorgeous fish, delicious chips. Cooking instructions are always adhered to and staff friendly and welcoming. This fish and chip shop has always been a favourite of mine since it was station place. However Harlees have gone the extra mile with it. The new refurb has made it look absolutely amazing! The staff are all so kind and friendly, every time I go in Corrine and another woman Jade are especially lovely and helpful because I’m not great with the online stuff and they help me. I had a large cod and chips and the cod was cooked to perfection, lovely and crispy too, the chips were lovely and hot and were also crispy. Absolutely delicious! I can’t wait to go back next week!

We ordered our fish and chips on line and my husband - who is nearly 80 turned up on the dot and gave his number to the assistants. He was then made to wait outside for 25 minutes on the coldest night of the year (-4 degrees C). After 15 minutes he asked what had happened - they appeared to have lost the order. He watched someone who had not ordered on line come and take his food away. Still he waited. The staff were dozy and disinterested. He was so cold that he could hardly eat when he eventually reached home. To add insult to injury the chips were greasy, cold and completely disgusting. Shame on you Harlees - we won't be coming back

I've only just started using Harlees in the last month.im a carer and the chap I look after loves his fish and chips. I have been very lucky to find this one. First of all the fish and chips are cooked fresh and are delicious. Nice crispy fish cooked to perfect not greasy and the chips also the same. The staff are excellent always ask how I am and dish it all up with a happy smile. Excellent service lovely people cannot wait to see them again next week but more importantly when they can allow sit down meals I'll be first in the queue. Matt

We were driving back to Bath and noticed the chip shop was open, a quick right turn into the car park. I’m so glad we did the chips were cooked to perfection and not one bit of grease in sight, the curry sauce was pretty good too

Happened to be in BoA for an urban wander and knew we wanted lunch out, happened to walk past here and saw that they were open and have a restaurant for sit in eating. Popped in and was seated immediately, and with the food and drinks orders taken quickly. The food was delicious and great value for money. The staff were friendly without being in your face. And the decor, wow, just amazing. So fun and full of history whilst still being modern and relavant. Can't wait to return.

I called in to pick up some fish and chips at 4.40 on Tuesday 26th jan to take home. I ordered a large cod and regular chips. As I was waiting I saw the chips being taken out of the friar and thought to myself ohh great there going to be lovely and fresh how wrong I was. The cod was very nice but the chips had been triple fried obviously left over from lunchtime or the day before? they were hard and inedible they went in the bin, such a shame as the fish was good. ☹️

Issues with web order from phone. No phone number to be found! Young lady in shop extremely helpful and sorted order for when required. Lovely fish and chip meal was enjoyed. Always found staff cheerful and helpful. My previous web orders have been no problem in fairness. This order was an attempt on my Android phone.

Delicious food i am rather a fan of fish and chips bug this one was something else the cod was a good size and cooked perfectly not thick soggy batter you normally get from chip shops! Ordered and paid on the app which was simple, selected a time within a10 minute window of my choice, even got an email to say when it was ready! Staff were friendly and great service all wearing masks (which must be awful for them). Food was in a warmer type oven waiting for me - perfect.
