Came in Sunday Oct 20 in the evening. Instead of being greeted, was told "we're closed" 3X in a row, despite being there 40 minutes before advertised closing time. Was not helped and had to leave. Staff person was either closing early, or 9pm closing time listed is not accurate. Either way, terrible service.

Picked up a coffee from here from time to time. The quality of the coffee is decent and the food is stocked up and cooked well. The service is a little slow and this place usually has a queue but worth it to stop here if you are waiting for a train for 10+ minutes.

The customer service here is terrible. The opening times claim the store opens 5:30am mon - Thurs however it is extremely rare that this store opens on time. The staff are extremely rude, yesterday, after waiting outside the door for around 7 mins, I lent in and politely asked the guy what time they’d roughly be opening and he responded with a foul attitude saying whenever he is ready and he’s the only person in, and then today, again, I was waiting outside for roughly 10 mins after “opening time” and I could see 2 members of staff there slowly getting the place ready and not one of them acknowledged me or the person waiting with me. One of the staff members even left the store and walked past us without any kind of acknowledgment. The “atmosphere” I get inside the store is that the staff absolutely begrudge being there and hates every customer that walks through the door (when they finally open them) On the rare occasion that the store does open on time it’s a miracle if you can get a smile out of and of the staff that serve you, I understand it’s early in the morning and we’re all tired but come on, put a little effort in, it is a customer service job after all. I commute mon-Fri around 5:30am every week so I can tell you for certain this is a consistent issue.

Swear they put the Starbuck’s misfit baristas as they know by the time you’ve drank your drink or eaten a bit of your food you’ll be on your train so you can’t complain🤣 no matter what I get from this Starbucks there’s always something so wrong about it either forgetting syrups, or not even heating food properly. This morning my ham and cheese toastie was completely cold I don’t know how the woman didn’t even realise🤣 god get some better staff I beg x

Really great service from a lovely man today that was calmly working his way through a long queue, whilst his colleague was on break. He was on his own and doing a brilliant job. I barely had to wait, the queue moved so quickly and he was incredibly professional. It was an fab caramel macchiato too! Unfortunately didn’t catch his name but he had dark hair and it was at about 10am on the 15th July. Just wanted to put this on here, so that if there is a rewards scheme in store, he is praised for his hard work 😊 Apologies if not correct pronouns, I am presuming.

The service there was horrible!! I ordered a coffee there in the morning before I caught the train. The girls behind the counter were chatting and slacking, making the coffee super slowly. 2 minutes before my train departure time, I politely asked when the coffee would be ready, the black girl with hairband rolled an eye on me and said “we are making it, OK??”. It’s a super unpleasant experience there and I almost missed my train. Not recommend this Starbucks at all.

Absolutely fuming. For a place that has a menu that has cold drinks i have been here on two occasions and both been told they don’t have them. The lady that served us called hayley was extremely rude and seemed like she didn’t even want to be there, as she gave me and my sisters dirty looks. Definitely will not be stopping there the next time i get off at bristol temple meads station again. Disappointed and sad. Get a new job.

The rudest Starbucks I've ever been to. Forgot to make my coffee so served other customers ahead of me which caused me to miss my train. When I complained about this, Maisie the barista literally laughed in my face and said the only way I could complain would be to leave a review - so here it is Maisie, hope this makes your day feel much better as you clearly weren't having a good one so far!

A grumpy girl served me at 7:30pm and gave me caffeinated coffee instead of the decaf I ordered. I checked with her and she was adamant that it was decaf. It's 5 in the morning and I haven't slept even after taking a sleeping tablet. It also cost £5 and tasted awful!!! Overpriced, bad service and terrible quality!

There’s one place everyone brings friends or family who are seeing Bristol for the first time: to marvel at the Clifton Suspension Bridge. It’s an obligatory pilgrimage for visitors, even if the iconic view has been marred by scaffolding for two years now. Most people head to The White Lion, the pub next door at The Avon Gorge Hotel, where Granny will gleefully wait 20 minutes for her Dubonnet and Lemonade before embarking on a half-marathon shuffle around the terrace in search of a free table. And once she sits down, the “view” is a picturesque portrait of bridge maintenance—a modern homage to endless construction. But I’m not here to talk about The White Lion, or the fact that some contractors are playing an absolute blinder stringing out what is presumably the longest piecework project in the South West. I’m here to talk about Goram & Vincent, the restaurant perched above this nonsense, like a smug cousin, overlooking the terrace and hoping to convince you it’s a better place to be. Is it? Well… Pre-dinner drinks in the lounge are delightful. The bar is properly plush, with window seats offering that perfect vista of the bridge—minus men in hard hats (they only seem to work about two hours a day). The cocktails are decent, the service friendly, and you begin to think, “Yes, this is what I came for.” Then you walk through to the restaurant, with its floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the gorge like something out of a tourist board’s fever dream. Almost every table boasts a view that’s spectacular enough to distract you from the fact that, well, the food might take a while. A long while. The menu is promising, a mix of steaks, some fish, and a few intriguing vegetarian options, including a £20 carrot dish that had me wondering if Bugs Bunny had recently taken out a mortgage. The service strikes a lovely balance between warm and efficient—no complaints there. But then… nothing happens for 30 minutes. Nothing but the view, which, to be fair, is lovely, and the decor, which is fine, and the waitress, who looks like she might actually explode from stress. When the food finally does show up, my prawns are nice, my steak less so—overcooked, in fact. It goes back, a new one arrives with apologies, and I can’t help but think this is all a bit too familiar. There’s a core problem here: this venue has everything going for it—stunning views, well-judged service, stylish decor—but in the end, the kitchen lets the side down. Maybe I caught them on a bad night. Or maybe, just maybe, they’ve joined the ranks of the contractors down below, taking their time with the job, knowing there’s no rush because, after all, where else are you going to go?
