Starbucks - Bridgelink Cafe in Cardiff

Great coffee shop. The coffee and food were great and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Great prices.

Unfortunately I tripped my drink down me and onto the chair. Lucas came and cleaned it up. He didn’t once make me feel bad or guilty. And even got me a refill. I work from home and chose different coffee shops around cardiff to work in. This is the best customer service I have ever seen. Thank you so much Lucas for going out of your way to make me feel comfortable. The Starbucks was clearly busy all day long on a Sunday, but he took time out of his day to do this. I truly appreciate it! Keep up the amazing work! :)

Best coffee made, nothing else even comes close allways a reguar if ever close I'd cry my eyes out....

I like popping into this Starbucks when visiting Cardiff. On my most recent trip, I was greeted by Tom who gave excellent customer service and till and Jazmyn made me a wonderful caramel macchiato. Considering I came in during a rush the service and quality of my order was perfect and I couldn’t fault the staff for their efficiency. Will definitely continue to come here!

It took about 20 mins from queuing to receiving my order with 2 customers before me. The hot chocolate and caramel macchiato had a weird after taste that I have not experienced before and were tasteless.

Waited over 20 mins in a queue of 8 people. Only 2 staff in at lunchtime on a Saturday.... crazy. At least one other sat in an office/on break. Forgot my cake too. Won’t return in a rush as nothing in this place happens in a rush 🙄

Turned up for a coffee and breakfast to find only paper cups as dishwasher was broken!! Looking forward to fruit toast but they had ran out of jam and marmalade!! At lease they had coffee left I guess!! Not the best Starbucks

Everyone knows that it is the norm to be asked your name after you order at Starbucks so that they can write your name on your cup to not cause confusion on which cup is who's. This was not the case in this Starbucks. I ordered my regular coffee at this Starbucks branch and was not asked my name. I didn't think much of it though as the orders in front wasn't asked either so it must be normal round here. I waited for about 5 minutes till my order was called along with another and was plonked on the desk by a woman called "Alex". Confused as to which coffee was mine (as was the other girl), I asked "Alex" which one was mine while she was making other drinks. She then gave me a "how could you not know" kind of look and repeated what the drinks were. I thought well if knew which one was mine I wouldn't be asking her. Perhaps she shouldn't have plonked the coffees on the desk and continued making other drinks and waited for them to be collected. Overall, Starbucks uses the system of marking people's names on the cup for a reason, so stick to it because it works! And in regards to customer service, being a little more polite and friendly to customers wouldn't hurt!

We visited this Starbucks for a cool down after shopping. It was 8pm and the opening time is til 9:30pm. On arrival we asked if they were open with a response of only for take away, which is understandable and we wanted this anyway. When asking the person behind the counter for a chocolate chip frappe he explained they don't have any but the Starbucks down the road does. ( why he would push customers away I do not know and we had gone to this shop for convenience) We decided we would just have this without the chips the guy behind the counter was very rude in saying to me "what do you want then". As if we were causing an inconvenience to him. It was all very rushed as if it was closing time and they were still open til half 9? I felt very awkward after this, will not be going there again

Lovely soy hot chocolate. Happy staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Definitely a great rest stop for shopping.

Busy Starbucks located in the heart of Cardiff, but friendly staff. Would recommend but not on a busy Saturday afternoon as you will struggle to get seated!

Needed a pick me up so ordered a flat white, made to perfection and just what I wanted also fell for the temptation of a granola bar #EveryTime

Please do not bother unless its the only place in Town.On the whole you have the seemingly endless queue, the tables are covered with used crockery and cups which are cleared occasionally.The premises needs new lighting so you can at least see what you are consuming. Sorry Starbucks but the truth can hurt at times . You will never receive any more of my Money. Probably nothing will change.

Normally visit at least once a week but usually early so not too busy.Can get busy ar other times of the day so great if you have the app and can order ahead.Usual choice of coffees, lattes, frappes and cakes , pastries etc.Friendly helpful staff.

Visited here a few times now, the coffee is ok, however the seating area and tables themselves are always sticky, messy and cluttered with dirty cups. Came today and as usual only one person serving making the coffee, several other members of staff stood behind chatting when the place had so many dirty and cluttered tables, and the only person to clear them later, was the guy taking the orders- he must do everything there? Good coffee, but dirty tables and mis-managed staff. Think I will avoid in future, plenty of other coffee shops available.

Called in for a pre show coffee whilst attending a ballet show at St Davids centre,staff were polite and cheerful and very helpful, I asked about purchasing some decaff coffee beans and was shown straight away to the sales area, bought a nice sized bag of decaf beans, ordered two medium cappuchinos which were quick and rather big to be fair, tasted wonderful,lol. Pleasant airy offee house, I noticed the tables were cleared promptly when vacated..Slight downside, there were only two toilets one unisex and one disabled, both rather busy and a queue was inevitable. All in all mind a lovely place for a coffee.

I was in the queue in front of a family but the family received their (very large!) order before I received my one cup of coffee. Therefore a very long wait... Staff not helpful or approachable, verging on being rude. Very limited room between the tales, especially if you have small children for pushchairs etc. A shame given the prime location. With plenty of choice around in that area of town, it will not be difficult to go elsewhere in future.

Great coffee and cakes. Comfortable seating but city centre staff are not always as friendly or helpful. No real complaints but not the warm service found in Mac Arthur Glen or the new Cross hands store.

Its starbucks, so you know what to expect. However this location is good for shopers, right in the middle of St Davids / St Davids 2. Upstairs by Debenhams. Good location to sit by the window and watch the world go by outside. Always a VERY BUSY store, even for Starbucks, always find a seat before ordering. Service is always good, tables not always clean but then you are usually jumping on one as the previous person is leaving, so the staff wouldnt really get the chance. Location makes this Starbucks my fav in the centre of Cardiff.

I order the same drink every time I visit and have never had the same thing served to me. Sometimes the coffee is really strong and jut horrible, sometimes the cup is filled with more froth than drink, sometimes it's barely warm and other times it's perfect.

I start all my Starbucks reviews like this – the food and drink is all the same - that’s why I go there! As such, I will only mention the quality of the food and drink if it is unusually good or bad. Generally, my review will focus on the atmosphere, location, layout and staff quality. This store was absolutely chaotic, with early morning Christmas shoppers queued up to the door. The staff worked feverishly to serve and were very apologetic. There was a reasonable amount of seating so even with the large amount of customers I got a comfy seat. The store is on the top floor and has large windows on the western side, so you can look out onto The Hayes and watch the world go by as you enjoy a coffee. Decent place, but expect a wait during the peak times.
