Great as always, great staff great coffee and good value for money. Skinny latte and frapuchino fir my daughters, both very much enjoyed.

I have been making business meeting here for the last 5 years I was always happy to come here ,today one short young girl with glasses she was crazy rude she made mistake in my drink then she was very rude to me , advise for the Managment it’s nice to see you employed young people but sometimes too young too rude she need to be coaches who to treat people before services

Service was terrible. Order was taken by a young man who looked and acted like he wanted to be anywhere else; leaning on the counter and lazily taking people's orders. Witnessed a customer reporting that two of her drinks were wrong to which she received a huff and an eye roll. Also walked out with the incorrect drink. Completely the wrong attitude and exceedingly unprofessional, sort yourselves out!!

Rochelle is an absolute diamond, a real asset to Starbucks! She made our mundane coffee run a real treat. We wish her all the best with her new chapter in life! A real f***king rockstar! Love you Rochelle :) x

The barista was very aggressive and was putting me under lots of pressure, when I asked for a flat white she gave a COLD Frappuccino which by the way is vile I feel like she should be sacked with immediate affect please read these review and consider who you want wait king for you. Thank you

The Starbucks in the city centre is right opposite the Clock Tower. The service was very good and the staff were friendly however I was disappointed that none of the staff were wearing face coverings whilst preparing drinks for customers. Are all of them medically exempt?

This review is about the north orbital rd site. There are two Starbucks in St Albans. please label if it’s high street or services next to petrol station at North Orbital branch. I went en route to my sons activities Monday 23rd august 8.30am and ordered 3 drinks at the till and two items of food. I did repeat twice to the girl on the till and she kept asking me to repeat. I clearly described two different types of cappuccino. The tea came quickly and as it was passed by the male I said there are 2 others drinks. Then the food arrived and then then 1 cappuccino from the blond girl. The place was full of builders not wearing masks so we stood back. After at least 6 people had left I said we are still waiting for another cappuccino. Immediately the male said well you must not have paid for it. I said I ordered it clearly at the till and repeated it twice in fact. He insisted and was shouting in front of the queue at me. So he asked the girl on till to stop serving and find my receipt she didn’t know how to do that so he stopped making coffee stopped her serving then helped her find it. Which he had to help her do. Could t believe he was just proving a point rather than apologise make my coffee and let us go. He printed it off and threw it over the counter at me in a “see I told you style”. I said how was I to know what I had paid for when I repeated my order more than twice. I said no problem I will pay. He made me a cappuccino and again I said I will pay he said no need. But the manner was not apologetic for the till staff mistake he still shouted that what more do you want I am giving you a free coffee. I said but our food is cold and we are now late. What’s worse is that it was not the cappuccino style I ordered. No offer of chocolate on either cappuccino and there is none at the station. All in all a terrible way to start a monday morning. Not what I expect from Starbucks. How can a customer know when they have been paid £12.50 exactly what that is for until they find out that the Starbucks staff didn’t put all the coffees through. He made out it was my fault and he was doing me a favour with a free coffee. I will not go back. Staff is the problem not the product

I recently went to Starbucks on the high street in St Albans and was refused service because I am exempt from wearing a mask. They asked for proof of my disability and then asked me to leave the building. They managed to break 3 laws simultaneously by doing this which is remarkable and the area south manager that is responsible for 35 stores Alex Barnes handled the incident awfully. Just shocking service from the team and the manager at the store, Julina and Martin who committed the offence. I am since informed that training has been re-rolled out but I did not receive the apology I was expecting. Just absolutely shocking behaviour. Never will I go back again.

We have been going to collect coffee every weekend for the last two months using the outside collection service window which was a great idea. Unfortunately today we went and this has been removed so mobile orders have to go into the store to collect, the social distanced floor markers have all been removed. We didn’t take masks as we didn’t know we would be going inside so got a lot of angry looks, rightly so. Starbucks seem to think there is no longer a pandemic, staff had no masks or gloves. To make matters worse our order took over 15 minutes and they had run out of pumpkin spice already. Won’t be returning.

Extremely disappointed in this Starbucks branch where 3 members of staff were not wearing masks properly, 1 had the mask under her nose, another had his under his chin and the other didn’t have a mask on at all! Get a grip on your staff Starbucks this is letting your good name down, your covid policy seems strict until you enter a store like this one.

I went here Sunday morning . Exemption card ready as I can't wear face mask. Walked in door and was rudely told to get out in front of other customers. Shouted at and humiliated by the member of staff. Told because i wasmt wearing a mask i couldn't come in ? Really . Please show me where the government said this ? Never in my life have I been discriminated against for having a disability. I left feeling so upset. Would you treat a person in a wheelchair this way because they have a disability? I don't think so.. Can safely say I will NEVER use another starbucks again. You should be ashamed of yourself

They good coffe and hot choclate here and they sell it and but there is always a STUOPID MAN IN THE FOUR SEATS ON HIS OWN. Stiopid man. I hat him stopid man in seat. Grr I hate. Hate. Hate man. Get your own seat man. Stoipid.

Starbucks UK is the worst. In the US they allow you to buy a refill in tea for 50 cents. They refill the hot water for free. If you are a regular they give you the refill. In the UK they want to charge a full price for a refill and they will not refill the hot water. This is in Chiswell green store at least.They are already overcharging for a lousy tea bag. I used to stop in every day. It is easy to switch to Costa or Nero.If they treat customers so cheaply, I wonder how they treat employees?

Average Starbucks fare but useful as it's on a main road with parking and open 24/7. Friendly staff, if service a little slow - had to wait a long time for drinks. Otherwise good

Well a Starbucks is a Starbucks... But the regular staff make this place amazing to come to Especially nidia cinthia guisepe and Sofía.. They give a warm welcome and great service every time.. Because of these people I return time and time again

Whenever I come to this particular Starbucks they know me as the guy who wants nothing but the Tuna Panini. Those guys toast it just right. Sometimes I might get a hot chocolate.

Avoid.. lap tops everywhere. An tables full of books and students working. No where to sit. Awful. Surprised that allow it. Making a coffee last hours. Occupying all the tables.

I'm not a big Starbucks fan, especially the UK adaptation. This particular cafe is in a spacious out-of-town location which makes this relaxed and pleasant. Coffee acceptable, cakes very good. Ignore the sandwiches and wraps.

I came down here for about 4 hours to do some work away from the house and office. And I’ve got to say the environment in there was a great working environment. Class place to go if you’re ever in need of getting some work done!!!

Products are fine as standard everywhere. Facility is fine and just had a refurb but didnt make a massive difference. However staffing is atrocious! Always one on the till nevermind how long the queues are and only one on the coffee machine that seems to know what they are doing as ti the rest, well canon fodder springs to mind.Management, get your act together!

I visited Starbucks in Chiswell Green this morning and was horrified to see how dirty the coffee shop was. Lots of tables with dirty coffee cups, crumbs and spills. The area where one collects sugar, and serviettes was full of spilt drinks and crumbs and the bin was overflowing. Clearly nobody was looking after the seating area. All staff were too busy serving. Surely somebody should be on the floor cleaning tables etc. A very disappointing experience.

Great coffee and hot chocolate, great staff and clean,cosy coffee house. The hot chocolate was particularly comforting for a grumpy teen on a cold day!

I come here to work occasionally to get out the house or grab a coffee with friends when late. Overall, it’s okay - coffee wise. As other reviews have commented, the tables & bins needs attention almost any time of the visit. (Common theme in sbux though) If you come past 9pm till around 2am it’s has mostly been filled with kids ‘studying’ .. understandable but it has become more of a social gathering with loud music etc Convenience of being 24 hours though!

Went recently to this particular branch of Starbucks in St Albans for a business meeting. Found the atmosphere pleasant for my meeting and the location was great. Certainly a place I’d visit again!!

I visited Starbucks St Albans (Chiswell Green) 3 days running as I had quite a bit of university work to get through and parked in the car park to the left of the building.The car park to the left of the building is a minimum 3 hour stay but if you give your registration number to staff you can park there for longer. I did this on all three occasions but it turns out the staff had failed to record my registration down meaning I was slapped, by parking company OPC, with three £50 'private parking' charges.Annoyed that I was a paying customer, and I had followed the rules correctly, I attended the store to ask the manager if she could get the fines cancelled. The manager's attitude could best be summed up as 'couldn't give a damn' and rude. I explained that I was a paying customer and I thought this was a ridiculous way to be treated. She offered no solution at all and I informed her that I was going to put a formal complaint in.I telephoned Starbucks's customer service the next day and was informed that an 'incident' had been logged with the team and that I was apparently 'threatening and abusive towards staff'. In no way did I raise my voice, swear or be threatening or abusive toward anyone! The manager had clearly done this to cover her own back as I had informed her that I was going to complain.The very helpful lady I spoke to in customer services spoke with the Area Manager and all three fines have been cancelled. I have asked that the area manager review any CCTV in the store relating to my conversation with the manager in the hope that she faces disciplinary action for making false statements about a customer to the company. However, I'm not holding any hope!It is safe to say that I will not be visiting in the near future, instead, opting for Costa Coffee where I have never had such bad treatment.

Always stop here on our way to Southampton for a short break and to enjoy a lovely cappuccino, always busy but looks as if it needs some TCL. OK if you need a break, and a good cappuccino.

Being just back from a trip to Australia, where coffee houses are clean, well furnished and incredibly friendly, its a real shock to experience Star Bucks and in particular this branch. The outside is a mess. The seating area is dirty and the grass torn up by allowing staff to drive over it. Inside its badly in need of a refit. Something to lower the noise and make it feel more friendly. Like all Star bucks it doubles as a revision centre for teens. The tables need to be cleared more often and stuff wiped onto the floor recovered and cleaned.

Incredibly rude and sarcastic man at the till named Zac. Needs to learn a thing or two about how to communicate with customers in a respectful manner. Wont be back here unfortunately.

Located next to the Shell Petrol Station, this Starbucks can be a frightfully busy place to come to, especially at peak times. Parking is limited and easily spills over into areas which make navigating your way to the exit tricky.Not the largest Starbucks there has ever been but I found getting a drink and something to eat fairly easy despite how busy inside it was. Numerous people studying and, presumably, staying for a short break on a journey.

Wow, what a place.Parking is a nightmare. Car park full, even dumped cars on the grass. People sitting in their cars drinking their coffee. Not difficult to see why, wen you enter and find all tales taken (lap tops a plenty). Then there is the queue for the coffee. This is surely the worst coffee outlet in the County?

Yep been here loads of times,staff always very helpful and friendly coffee is what you’d expect from Starbucks,yet again only problem sometimes is the parking.

I normally stop most week ends, if I stop after 9.30 there is a bit of a wait they need another coffee machine, staff general good and know the products. I agree with others parking is a problem. Price of coffee ok, food a bit pricey but worth it.

Great coffee, I preorder here a lot and the staff are always great and very quick. It would have got a 5 stars but the 5 min pick up spaces are always taken even when there is nobody waiting for a drink. Which is a complete pain when I have the kids in the car.

I'm still so angry24hr Starbucks Chiswell Green;The starbucks at chiswell green has become a joke, me and my friends go there so we can get out because i don't dont get out because of my anxiety to get a drink and chill.but the pass few months the Chiswell green store has become more then a joke and i bet the shell garage is not very happy, don't blame them, we go to Starbucks south mimms its longer and out of the way because its not as busy. - people park where ever there feel like blocking the shell exit and on the glass next to Starbucks even blocking the exit and entry to it.-some staff members joking around and messing around with there friend like Reece (who gose's out every five make sure his car is still there - that also parked on the glass not in the staff parking).-full of student taking up most of the chair and tables making so loud no one can hear and leaving there stuff on the tables while going for there cigarettes leave the un use for like 20/30 mins and there only buy like a drink or one of them do in like 5 hours to justify it.people park there for hours and hours block people and trucks from shell even the delivery for Starbucks we don't go any more we don't even pick to because of how bad got and i think normal people do think the same if there not a student or friend of people who work there, i even saw the house next door put cameras on there to look over at Starbucks and to protect house there from house andf parking in front of there house.not all the staff are idiots Mitch is cool always know when to have friendly banter and when to work tho, but we did hear of things that are coming like -parking time limit 2hours-fines

Stopped for a quick drink to rest our feet after wandering around town. It was busy. Service was friendly and fairly quick. The toilets are quite small and in need of a clean. Yuk. There are lots of places for coffee in St Albans. Will most possibly try somewhere else next time.

This starbucks is always busy but always of good standard. The staff are usually all young and can work fairly quickly for the amount of custom however some are a bit sassy.

This great cafe with non stop service and smile on the baristas face just unbelievable. I know is franchise I know you should taste and get to same service from them all around the world.But this really young members just do something special to create a great atmosphere here!probably that's why my favourite grande latte on kids temperature taste a billion times better then anywhere else.One of the blonde girl who served me (unfortunately did not catch her name ) was not to tired to make a little latte art on my cup even she knew is just a take away!!!This is something ,how to bring your personality, your love, into a busy franchise system..Well done guys Peter

A "normal" Starbucks. But for those Americans the good news is that they'll take your gold card to charge. So you get credit for your purchases. Products all seemed to be same as in US. Enjoy.

This is the worse starbucks I have ever been in. The staff didn't even ask if I was eating in or taking away so ended up with a take away cup and No plate to eat my food from. The Tables were all full of finished cups and plates so customers were clearing the table to be able to sit. No please or Thank you. The Staff were to busy chatting and happy to let the customer do the cleaning for them. My husband all so said the mens toilet were disgusting.

This place is open 24/7 and is close to m25 jun. 21a . Always busy so food is always fresh. Cheese and ham toastie was filled well and tasty. Seating outside. Staff lovely. Next to shell garage with parking.

Well it is open 24 hours and the positive thing about Starbucks is that they really do make coffee exactly as you want. However, can't disagree with other peoples comments - the cleanliness really needs to be improved. The tables take ages to be cleared and cleaned....if at all....

Used to be a great coffee shop... slowly gone downhill. I often go here with friends and family and pay the Starbucks price for a nice experience. The tables are never clear, staff normally standing around either chatting or putting the world to rights while tables are filthy, toilets are worse than disgusting.. I'm still waiting to turn up and be able to wash my hands with soap - its always empty (or never filled up). over 4 weeks the same piece of toilet paper sat on the floor next to the toilet (nice!) Yesterday i killed 5 ants running along the wood under the window... nice sticky un washed side for them to eat off.This is a truly disgusting coffee shop - Starbucks you should be ashamed.Oh and the staff use the disabled bay outside as a personal car parking space....Very unhappy Starbucks gold member (3 or 4 a week)

My friends and I have been coming to this coffee shop regularly (2 or 3 times a week) for a year and a half now. When I first started coming the staff were really friendly and helpful and the tables were kept relatively clean and condiments well stocked.In the last 6 months or so the staff have become somewhat demotivated and it always seems like there's a bad atmosphere between the baristas. Even the ones that used to greet me with a smile and a chat have now become quiet and standoffish. The tables are left dirty and I've often had to clear them up myself or just put up with the empty cups. This would be understandable if it was really busy but at the times I come it isn't and there are often a couple of staff standing around seemingly not doing a lot.The bin is often full of rubbish which ends up being piled up on the condiments area where you add milk/sugar. The toilets are usually a mess and the hand dryers aren't very effective.Considering that my friends and I travel from Hemel Hempstead which is a 20 mile round trip, it has become less of a treat and more of a chore to come to this store. Unfortunately we aren't spoilt for choice in the late evening/early hours so this has become our regular coffee shop by default. If things don't improve soon then we will have to find elsewhere. An experienced manager is all this place needs to whip the staff into shape and to make the customer experience a pleasant one.

No problem with Starbucks coffee shops had a nice coffee and bacon roll all hot and well presented. The thing that amazed me that I saw at least 2 dogs in the restaurant (I am a dog lover and have my own dogs) but........ Not sure this is right dogs in a place where food is consumed???

Staff are friendly and products are nice. Place it self needs a clean more regularly and toilets definitely need attention.

I'm a regular visitor here and the service and products are always very good, the staff always seem happy to help. The only thing I would say is that the place can get a bit messy at times and the toliet could do with a clean but apart from this I enjoy my visits there.

I am not a fan of Starbucks in general but I have to say my recent visit just for a quick snack and it happened to be Nutella day. I know the Nutella oat biscuits were only done for this day but if they could do it everyday that would be amazing.Overall service was pleasant and I enjoyed my visit.

Ok, I know its just a Coffee Shop and there are things it needs to put right, like having somebody clearing and WIPING tables frequently, as they are often sticky etc but whoever heard of a Coffee Shop staying open in the evening never mind all night!!! For years I have been moaning about the fact that all Coffee Shops seem to shut at 5pm (well outside London certainly) and now here is one, not even in St Albans City centre, which has turned itself into an almost 24 hour 'service station'. Sure it helps having the Shell Garage next door but surely Starbucks cannot believe their luck and their competition must be kicking themselves for not thinking of it first.I would really like to give this place five stars but staff training is an issue slightly but nothing that cannot be put right. At least all the staff, and yes they are all young, are helpful and friendly behind the counter but yes some of them need to come out front more often and keep the place clean and sparkling. That's all it would take!Like the review done by Denise R the diversity of people who come and go all the time make this Starbucks really interesting and when we were there on Saturday night at approx 9.30pm with friends there was a steady stream of people, young and old, coming in and staying awhile.When I've been here in the daytime I see loads of people in meetings with laptops open etc so word has certainly spread about this place.I love it!

Yes it's a Starbucks and yes it's open 24 hours a day now but the management really need to sort their act out. I frequent there 3/4 times a week but I'm going to start using the garden centre opposite, as they are friendly there and it's clean. The tables at this Starbucks are always dirty and you have to ask for someone to clear the cups and plates. The staff look totally bored and disinterested, and are discourteous. Someone please listen and get your act together.

I use this Starbucks a lot when put with the kids . I have to say recently its gone down hill . On several occasions ive sat down to a dirty sticky cup filled table that I had to clear myself despite it not being overly busy. The staff now appear to be very young and lack direction and customer service experience . The little things make a difference and when I come in with two kids it would be nice to be offered help as I try and carry a baby / tray of coffee / baby bag etc and then I have to go hunting for a high chair . I think this venue needs the supervision of a more experienced barist or manager . Good location but I'm rapidly going off this place.

This must be the best Starbucks in the country and we are so lucky to have this on the St Albans and Watford borders. It is terrific in being so community focused with a community feel, even though it is out of town. Very friendly, very relaxed and I love the diversity of the customers. Family friendly alongside business appropriate - both are important to me and work well. I spend part of most days working here and am made to feel very welcome. Super friendly staff and personalised service especially for regulars. Ola, Linda, Judy, Chloe are all exceptional and plenty of other staff too. There are a lot of staff as now it is open 24/7 (also great news) but even if it is a staff member I do not know, they are very friendly and attentive. The staff work super hard. Mostly you will be served and get your drink speedily. They do get very busy and queues can build - I look at this as a positive - time to chat to someone else who is waiting or a staff member or sit down first and go back and order with a shorter queue. The atmosphere of this place encourages you to relax and not get stressed,Food of course is great - new winter lines are good. Lots of samples are brought round so easy to try something - a nice touch. Nothing to do with this branch but I really can't wait for the day that Starbucks hot apple cider drinks come to the UK - I love these in the US! Coffee is of course fab - ask for it how you want it, they are quite happy to oblige. Just love this place - long may it continue!

This Starbucks’ is situated in a former Little Chef restaurant and only a short distance from junction 21a of the M25. From junction 21a head to towards St.Albans on the A405. Starbucks is on the first roundabout you come to and is next door to a shell petrol station. It was 22C and sunny when I arrived in their ample, but busy car park. For some reason Starbucks had the fan heaters on , rather than the air con.There is a nice looking outside seating area next to the dual carriage - good if you fancy a large doze of exhaust fumes with your coffee.A small cappuccino was the size of most large cappuccino and was OK to drink. I have tried many of the cakes, but none are anything special.For a quick stop, when travelling on the M25, this is excellent; but if you have more time, then continue into the city of St.Albans where some very good cafes and restaurants await.
