Starbucks in Northumberland

Unclean, only one loo for a place this size is ridiculous. Avoid this Starbucks in Winter as you will definitely pick up nasty bugs.

Not sure why such negative reviews, we go every weekend, staff always friendly & great (hot) coffee unlike some other coffee chains. Only gripe is 1 member of staff always seems to have stand at drive through window even when there's no cars there. Only 2 other staff members in this morning & they were run off their feet.

Not quite sure why such negative comments about the staff, they are always lovely ! Recently seem to have a few more in, all still busy & knowledgeable about the coffees. Even though we are there most Saturdays I still ask questions about the choices ! Only slight gripe is the toilets. Not sure why but most Starbucks have the same issue of not seeming at all clean.

Clueless staff and they don’t take cash. Went to get a drink with a friend, I had cash and my friend had card, so my friend had to order both of them. First drink came well made however, we were waiting for a while for my drink to get there, they had to ask us why we were waiting and what we had ordered, they looked clueless. My drink finally arrived and it tasted completely different to my friends drink, it just tasted like milk, even though we ordered the same thing, and it had no sticker on it and never asked for my name. Also to top things off the prices are ridiculous.

Went yesterday for coffee and cake it was more like a office than a coffee shop, especially when the person next to you is tapping on computer, then speaking into a head set

The staff are not interested,they want to chat amongst themselves,they think customers are a nuisance.worst place in the world I have been to .

This is a lovely branch, with an Alnwick feel to a multinational coffee company. Staff have always been friendly and astute.

Dogs need to be kept on the floor. The seat I sat on was covered in hair! Too many dogs in the cafe, I own a dog but would never let it sit on the seats.

I called in on my way to an afternoon meeting (Sunday 14th January) and using the drive through ordered a bottle of water and a cake on a stick. Went to the window and heard some talk about my order. Watched several cups of coffee being made, two guys working together on that. Saw customers clearing tables. Waited for my order but nothing appeared so as I hadn’t been asked to pay I said I couldn’t wait any longer as I would be late. I think they heard me, they looked my way then went back to making coffee. Don’t make a habit of leaving bad reviews but this was well deserved.

Terrible service, left standing for over 10 min after ordering ( there was no cars at drive through at time of our order ) while drive through got priority when cars started to turn up . We where the only ones in the restaurant and there was 3 staff working.

Called in for a bacon sandwich and a coffee, Tables unclean and floor messy too, No-one seemed to be manning table clearing and cleaning despite there being at least 5 staff behind the counter, Bacon butty warm and soggy, Coffee good, Won’t be going back,

I have no idea how good or bad the coffee is as I was unable to persuade any of the 6 staff to break off their various conversations long enough to take me order. When you ignore people they don’t spend money in your store.

Ordered from this Starbucks Alnwick over two days and both of our orders were wrong almost as if they dont listen to what you ask for. Ordered at drive through and part of the ordered was missed and had to go in. Even then asked for ketchup with the missed part of the order got back and none was put in. Following day asked for white tea and got back its was black and no milk put in the drive through order. Inside the staff never really are friendly. Is this a training issue or just plain rude.

Lovely coffee as I expected, but stay clear of the snacks. Over priced and very poor quality. Luckily I like rare bacon but not many do !

Staff member who served us was miserable and rude. Couldn't be bothered to ask what size drink we wanted and then just dumped our order at the end of the counter.

This has to be the worst Starbucks for service. The staff are very young and are completely unable to engage with the customers, Leaving customers standing for far to long to be served. And the restaurant wasn’t busy. A smile would help or even an apology for the time taken. Just completely hopeless !!!

Cold coffee cold service felt as if I was an intruder poor standards from everyone working there even by Starbucks standards

Unlike a recent review by another customer I have always found the staff here very friendly and welcoming. The place itself it light and airy and a very pleasant place to sit and have your coffee and conversations. The menu is obviously the same as in other Starbucks outlets. The coffee is good and choice of pastries and breakfast buns good too. An advantage of this place is that you can park easily outside it.

Visited with friends for a coffee but we were all horrified to see 2 dogs sitting on the table drinking from cups. When we raised this with staff, we were dismissed and told the tables would be wiped. Dog poo is toxic and I do not want to sit at a table where a dogs arse has been. It is absolutely disgusting. We are a family of dog owners and none of my family would ever let their dogs sit on a table. We returned a few weeks later to find a different dog sitting on a chair. I will not be returning.

When you hear a member of staff saying “ this is s#*% and I’m going home….. I don’t want to be here and I hate customers” she’s either had a really bad morning or Starbucks is the worst company to work for in the world. I was the only person in the shop… early morning but still had to stand and wait until the two young girls and older lady finished their conversation with a friend going through the drive thru. “ what can I getch ya” was the only words muttered from Miss Happy’s lips during my visit…. Wow… starbucks sort this out…. I’ve since found out that this branch is owned by startbucks and not a Franchise like so many of the other drive thru’s around. Same day visited the Ashington branch…. Chalk and cheese…. Great service from a happy smiling member of the team… Being local it was handy for me to grab a morning coffee. In future I think I’ll stick with the costa machine in the local garage.

Unbelievable. A huge organisation like this will not accept coins. Having been for a drive and a walk with the dog I came across a drive though. Brilliant, I has no wallet with me but found a handful of coins in the glove box. Quickly through the call system waiting to pay. Handed over my coins.. to be told we dont accept coins. Wtf is that about. if change is an issue I may have the right money. But no. Just no cash. So I can’t have a coffee. Coffee is made and ready for me to pick up but I had no option but to leave it and drive away. Total madness and weird. But that’s it. Don’t go if you only want to use money.

3 girls behind the counter with not much to do. Except clear the tables. We sat at one by the window and moved the dirty cups to one side. They didn’t even notice never mind think to clear them. Oh, and clean the one unisex toilet that had toilet paper and rubbish all over the floor. They did have one customer to serve though. This is what happens when you leave children in charge.

Ordered a small peach iced tea and a medium iced latte drive thru. The small peach iced tea was more expensive than a bigger latte - that makes no sense! Never get the impression anyone who works here is bothered about customer service really. Now...

Called in today and won’t be back. The young ladies are absolutely atrocious and rude. They don’t want to serve you as you are interrupting their conversation. One was quite scary actually. The young lad is fine... out numbered by 5 bad mannered girls.
