Apparently they don't accept Scottish Bank notes? Or Northern Ireland notes despite both being Sterling and legal tender. Costa head office say otherwise?

Staff are lovely, comfortable sofas, fantastic coffee, my little ones love the babychinos. Don't forget your reusable cup for double points!

Excellent service. So clean in comparison to many other branches. Staff well trained and know what a real customer service is. Should send the rude staff from Uxbridge here to be trained!

We like this Costa, we normally try to support the independent coffee shops ( of which their are several) in Morpeth, however they all get really busy at peak time's and you can usually get served and find a seat at Costa. Love the Pig's in Blankets toastie served over Christmas.

Love this Costa much prefer it to one on main street more comfortable and space always friendly staff and when they have been short staffed I know they just use take out cups but least you can still get your cuppa hopefully when fully staffed there opening times are regular

Over recent months the outlet has been closed more often than open. Only using takeaway cups. Not what a coffee shop experience is about. They are so unreliable customers are giving up on them. I commented to a member of staff that it was nice to see her back again and got a rude response. Asked what the problem was with opening and got a very non commital reply.

We go to this costa on a regular basis. Food nice, coffees are the best but by far they have one of the rudest members of staff working for them. Everytime she is serving it always feels like it's an inconvenience to her, never polite and today bordering on rude! The atmosphere between the servers were strained today, not comfortable at all. When I do go back, if she is serving then I will go somewhere else with pleasant staff

Every time I’ve been here the last couple of weeks it’s been closing at 3pm everyday for staffing issues but one on bridge street seems ok?? Was closed the whole weekend for GNR which is strange and today I tried to go again at 5pm and oh only open 10am - 2pm and everything in take out cups! This is costa like since when does costa close for staffing issues Il just go to the other one in the town much easier than this hassle constantly!!!

With blinds being shut admiring the view is no longer a feature of this place in a sunny morning. Drinks are being served in takeaway containers to save washing up

Abysmal service and lazy staff. I like to drink my latte out of a proper receptacle and not the useless takeaway cups. However, despite me requesting proper cups, they refused and told me that they were just doing takeaway cups. They are clearly a disgrace to the brand and that needs to be addressed..

We love it here. Very clean and the bread they use for the toast has a lovely malty taste! That and my latte ,heaven!

Costa in Next Morpeth is fantastic. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Seating area is always kept spotless and clean. Lovely views from the huge glass windows. Always a good visit .

This Costa is better than the one on the high street. It's cleaner, and the service is generally quicker, but it is what it is....a costa coffeeshop

We visited at a really quiet morning just before Christmas. The young lads were lovely BUT the older lady could not have had a worse attitude. When I had the audacity to ask for extra butter with my tea cake, she glared at me, tutted and slammed a measly butter Pat on the plate so hard the tea cake jumped off the plate and almost fell on the floor. I never write negative reviews but this person’s attitude was horrendous

Been coming here for years and had no problem with the service unlike others on here. My concern is WHERE ARE YOUR CAKES? 4 of us sat down at a table them had a look at the cakes on offer...NONE AGAIN! Where are your lovely carrot cakes you can purchase in Costa, North Shields, Newcastle and any where else? For the 3rd time in as many weeks we have walked out and gone to the Morpeth Larder, a lovely selection of cakes and coffee. Come on Costa, get a grip and sort out your supplies. Please don't tell us as you have before about delivery issues as other Costas don't seem to have this problem.

The place is in need of a refurbishment. Looking very tired and dirty. The loo was flooded. Not enough staff to deal with it. The ones there were rushed of their feet even though the place wasn't at full capacity.

Great coffee and venue very pleasant so light and airy with high ceiling but sometimes too noisy with echoes. Toilets not cleaned enough unfortunately. Friendly staff.

Nice cup of coffee,snacks a little dated could do with a revamp.

We were in Costa Upstairs in Next in Morpeth. As Usual..Great Food... Fabulous Coffees & Drinks... Lovely Place to Sit & Relax ( Lucky It Was In A Quiet Period)....Still Lovely

This Costa is located upstairs in the Next shop. Very nice and spacious with a relaxed atmosphere, usual Costa foodies on display with a friendly staff.

Good service and of course, great coffee. BUT the place is filthy. We had to clear a table to have somewhere to sit and the toilet wasn't fit for use.

Friendly staff, well made coffee, but...heck, remember to bring your own toilet paper!!! This is the third time I've been in this Costa and found myself without. Not good enough.

Staff were very good. The whole cafe was not covid safe at all no table service, no safe distance, custumers walking right past you when sitting at your table, and I mean inches away. It was so bad my husband and I had to leave. So badly layed out. Its the only Costa we've been in that has this pro lem, extreamly unsafe,.

Loved our meal last night it was nice to be out, unfortunately the table service didn't ruin the buffet experience but watered it down, however the quality of the food was great for a buffet and it was all reasonably priced. Will certainly be going back again

I love this coffee shop. It has comfy chairs to sit in and a good view of that part of Morpeth from the large windows. The coffee variety and quality is excellent. Yes, at certain times, like any coffee shop, it can be busy but the staff are efficient and handle the orders quickly. I find the staff cheerful, friendly and extremely helpful. They took time and trouble to assist me with a problem I had concerning my points. The selection of snacks is very tempting and I reckon that the Costa muffins are the best you'll find in Morpeth! I won't even begin on the wonderful raspberry /almond slice. Keep it up Costa - you're a great place for folk to chill, chat and coffee.

Favourite place to go for coffee, nice and bright and spacious, all baristas make a decent coffee (despite our specific demands) and in my experience are friendly and engaging.

Good standard Costa. As usual you know what to expect. Plenty of space, newspapers available. Good choice of snacks.

Easily the slowest service in any Costa Coffee we have been too. Staff are rude and never say please, thank you or anything come to think of it. You always have to clear and clean your own table before sitting down, despite several Mardy staff hanging around doing nothing except sighing at the customers. My last visit 3rd November 2018 ( 11am), I witnessed the girl on the till serve 8 different people without saying a single word! Quite amazing. We won't be back, finally realising that coffee doesn't begin and end with Costa. Anyone leaving top marks for this filthy place either works there or is mad. Plenty better cafés in Morpeth.

As it gets the sun for most of the day and is entirely fronted by glass, this is a very pleasant place to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a bite to eat. Spacious and stylish with a number of comfortable seats as well as regular tables, access is through Next via a internal suspended walkway. The service is fairly quick and efficient. Note that whilst the car park is free you'll need to purchase a Parking Disc to use it.

Title says it all. Long queues with only one person serving. Disappointing to say the least. Improve this and the place will be okay.

It is a shame that if your timing is towards the busy times....you will have a long queue to wait in....the staff are doing their best to get the orders filled...but when cakes or hot food is ordered it slows the entire process down even more !

I like this costa in Morpeth as it has plenty of seating, is open later when other coffee shops close and has a good atmosphere with nice staff. My only reason for not given 5 stars is sometimes I find the tables and toilets could do with a more regular clean. Perhaps this is a staffing issue as the staff are always working extremely hard serving customers.

Visited here a number of times and each time the service has been ridiculously slow. Today was no exception! A small queue of 3 people took over 7 minutes to serve without any major order being placed.Someone at Costa seriously needs to look at this because it really is going to be a problem if it is ever busy! The staff were always busy but everything seems to take so long to do.

Went here for coffees on Saturday as we were parked at Morrisons.A really large spacious costa and good quick service as you would expect.

One of 3 Costas in and close to Morpeth----it comes thirdNothing wrong with the coffee--usual Costa standard and price---the view over a car park --is good--it airy and spaciousHowever---it was a bit grubby!---quite early in the morning too --so no excuses for being tidy----will go again--and hope they have a bit of wipe of tables clean the floor and plump up the cushions !
