Only 2 women working there, to be fair they were extremely busy, advertising for staff - which they seem to be every time we are there ! Coffee was ok, however flavoured syrup wasn't added to Pumpkin Spice Latte.! Wasnt very hot either. Couldn't take back as was already back on main road. Another customer had same issue but he checked his before he left the place.

I thought I would treat myself and have a proper coffee rather than one from a self service machine at the petrol station. The place was deserted at 1pm which should have been a warning. The two members of staff reluctantly got up to serve me but Stacey never put down her phone whilst making a dreadful Cup of coffee. This place hasn’t been open many months but I will be amazed if it lasts long.Go to the petrol station opposite.

( Covid precautions in place; handsantizers at the entrance and screens the length of the counter;customers wearing masks and keeping the required distance; I didnt see anyone clean the tables between customers)I used to stop here when it was the 'Little Chef' but this is a great improvement. Food and drinks available as 'take out'or 'sit in'.It was late morning so fairly busy. Friendly, efficient service from the two assistants. Bacon roll and cup of tea was just what was needed after an early start!

Rude staff, awful coffee freezing cold, tried to complain but they were not interested. It's not expensive but it's not cheap either, would definitely not come back

Starbucks is my favourite coffee chain! However, the Starbucks at Bardon Mill stands out for all the wrong reasons. The customer service here is absolutely diabolical. The staff are extremely rude, the orders are often wrong and the drinks they make are sub-standard. Drinks are often served in take away cups... apparently because the dishwasher is broken (regularly). Do they not know how to wash dishes? The only way this Starbucks will improve will be to fire all of the current staff and start again. This Starbucks could be so good! It’s not rocket science...Find a team that want to be there, enjoy working with people and take pride in providing good customer service and drinks.

Absolutely awful! Worse Starbucks ever visited. Ordered a caramel macchiato. Was luke warm. Supposed to be frothy milk with caramel drizzled on it. More like warm milk and the caramel sunk straight to the bottom. Rip off . Don’t bother stopping . Complained and was given attitude. Will be writing to head office

Stopped for a cup of our favourite coffee. 1. Told very rudely by staff that dogs were not allowed despite the dog bowl outside and lack of signage.2. Toilets were disgusting with fecis all over the floor.I would say the customer service was shocking and would not recomend this particular site.

I have seen a lot of negative reviews about this place, but we need to speak as we find. It was clean(as we're the toilets) the staff were welcoming, and the drinks were handed to us with a smile. We pass this place regularly on the way to Toon, Toon Black and White Army, and we will stop here again.

Called in to starbucks at Bardon Mill hoping to have a nice coffee and a sandwich and a quiet half hour to myself to relax and enjoy a treat. I paid £ 8.25 for a coffee and a cheese toastie overpriced a bit but never-ending mind i had commited now so took a window. seat to wait for what i hoped was waitress service... however..i was called to collect my order to find a paper cup and a paper bag waiting for me on the counter...when i asked if i could havea plate and a cup please i was told the dish washer was broken... pity they couldn't mention that before i ordered as i could have gone across the road to the local garage for a take away service for HALF THE PRICE.....I WON'T BE BACK...Can no one wash dishes any more?

Just popped in on route to a holiday at the lakes for a hot chocolate and the loo. Greeted by a rude woman who instead of saying hello or even smiles demands if I am sitting in or taking out, still pleasant I respond and her manor doesn’t improve. I nip to the loo while my order is being made to literally have the drink thrown across the table and no thank you or even acknowledgement. Your staff are rude and an embarrassment to the company. Don’t work in customer service if you don’t like human interaction???? Ps I never leave reviews especially negative ones but this seriously pissed me off and I have a long drive ahead.

I was passing and decided to call in for a take away drink for me and my son. I found the 3 girls behind the counter to be extremely rude and unprofessional. I had asked for a babycino for my son, which I was informed they didn’t sell so I asked for a small hot chocolate instead. The girls were sniggering under the counter and made me feel awkward. All I’d asked for was a drink not realising it was called a small hot chocolate and not a babycino. I went to the toilet and came back and the two drinks were on the end of the desk, pure habit I asked if one was the babycino and yet again the staff member said we don’t do babycino so I said oh sorry I mean chocolate and the staff member said “well has it got your name on?!”. She had called other people’s names out when their drinks were ready but hadn’t called mine out. I saw the staff member roll her eyes when I asked whether the drinks were mine and she looked back at the other staff and they sniggered. I’ve never felt so embarrassed, especially that I felt humiliated in front of my husband and son. If I hadn’t already purchased the drinks I would have just left. I will never go to Starbucks at Bardon Mill again. The three young girls behind the counter were intimidating. Also paid over £6 for a small hot chocolate (shot size) and a medium chocolate. I would avoid this place and go to Costa, service much better!

I wasn't surprised at paying over the odds in Starbucks but we needed a break. What really annoyed me was that the place was nearly empty but obviously there had been plenty of customers in as several tables were still littered with cups and debris from food. Three members of staff stood chatting behind the counter. One finally strolled to one table and managed to carry a couple of cups away before continuing her chat and ignoring the other dirty dishes. The floor of the women's single toilet was wet under the drier and soap dispenser and there were pieces of toilet paper on the floor. The hand drier wasn't working in the men's toilet. The management of this place needs serious attention. It's not even as though they have to cook anything!

Really clean and quiet place nice to stop and sit and have a coffee and watch the world go by if you have time, not however blessed with this luxury i grabbed one to go go which was swiftly served. Nice coffee whether sitting in or grabbing one on your way past. Usual price for coffee on the plus side you know you can drink and enjoy it for the price.

Went with my wife and 2 kids for a quick stop off. Ordered a short hot chocolate for each of my kids but staff told me they needed the short cups for other customers and we had to have tall ones. They then proceeded to make the hot chocolate stone cold as well. Coffees for adults were fine, but at central London prices I certainly expected better. Urgent staff training needed too - 2 of the 3 staff looked and acted like they would rather be anywhere else but where I was being served.

Food coffee cake all okay very expensive they shouted that a coffee was ready and a cold drink the people didn’t here and staff just let it sit and get cold and there was plenty of staff to take over or shout again. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The lady making the coffees etc keeps touching her hair not hygieneic I run s business and I’m afraid I wouldn’t put up with this.

Situated half way between Carlisle and Newcastle, near Haltwhistle, this standalone Starbucks is a welcome sight for those drivers in need of a caffeine fix … or just to have a break. Incredibly spacious, with outside seating and an ample car park, it houses the usual range of Starbucks drinks, sandwiches and snacks and is now my choice of stop when driving on the A69.

We visited Starbucks between the A1 and M6/ A74 twice on a short visit to the west coast and found this new location (for us anyway) and found just what we expected from a Starbucks, friendly staff who were product aware and were happy in their work. Good Coffee and Tea easy food which is so much nicer than some chain coffee stores. Looking at some of the other comments here sure staff wasn't the pace of a city Starbucks however it was prompt and courteous and at a pace that seemed to match the desire of the clients while we were there.

I agree with the previous reviewer, standards of hygiene here weren't great. Service was slower than expected - there didn't really seem to be enough staff or they weren't organised correctly. When we came to sit down there were plenty of available tables, however none of them were clean. They were all full of used plates and cups. Thankfully, our table did get cleared soon after we sat down. Food & drinks were average. Toilets really need attention. Both ladies and gents were very dirty, not what you'd expect from a large international chain like this. It really put us off returning here which is a shame as it's a good stop off point on the way to Scotland.

This Starbucks is really handy on the busy route between Newcastle and Carlisle and has a large car park and plenty of space inside with a mixture of coffee shop tables and chairs and comfy seating next to huge windows, plus a covered outdoor terrace which will be nice when it's a tad warmer. Usual coffee and snacks available as you'd expect from this brand.

Service, lunch and coffee were ok - dirty and littered tables everywhere and the only clear table where we sat was dirty. We got a parking ticket for staying too long - neither myself or my friend will be back! Very disappointed!

A great bed and breakfast experience staying for 2 nights. A full English breakfast to die for and a very comfortable bed to sleep in set in a comfy room with en-suite shower. The evening meals were excellent with great beers to go alongside and no big screen to distract the conversation. Other guests were friendly with good conversation. Paul, Donna and the team were excellent in keeping a clean house with good conversation and banter. All in all a great experience and I’d have no hesitation in returning.
