Rubbish! Starbucks ought to be ashamed of themselves. The cafe was freezing cold with air con on full, music blaring, and absolutely, disgustingly filthy. It wasn't busy and appeared fully staffed so ample time to clean. There was no cream so frappachinos, etc were unavailable. They also didn't have any regular tea! Unbelievable! The pain chocolat was inedible and clearly been sitting around sometime. Wish we had driven on and found a Costa. Avoid!!

Visited as a journey and lunch break. Second time recently visited. Surly, uncommunicative , and unhelpful staff with more than poor service, dirty tables and seating on both occasions. Will be driving straight past in the future.

Only one car in car park, perhaps I should have been more cautious. One customer in front of me who was waiting on one coffee. I was in the restaurant twenty minutes for one coffee too. There were three members of staff in full conversation with each other who openly mocked the two customers who entered after me .... and had the sense to leave before being served. The blonde assistant found if amusing to mock them totally oblivious to my presence. The assistants kept leaving their "serving area" for no apparent reason and at one point I thought they'd forgotten I was waiting ..... seriously how long should one expect to wait for one coffee???

Website says it’s open at 5:30am, Arrived just after and door was locked and staff had just arrived. didn’t wait and went to one closer to Honiton .

I was spoken to with the minimum amount of words, basically what would you like and is that everything. No smile, no 'how are you' or 'have a nice day'. In fact the final drink in my order was handed to me and she turned her back and so I ended up saying thank you and goodbye to her back.

I visited today with my partner, 7 year old and my newborn baby. Honestly had we not had been driving for hours and there weren't such limited options for a place to stop I would have walked straight back out. I will start with the positives... Lots of parking available! There was lots of variety (even as vegetarians) for food options, the food was actually very nice (although expensive). However we then looked for a place to sit and eat. There was only one other group here at this point sitting at eating. Despite this I could not find a single table that I could say I was happy to sit and eat at. Every table looked to be covered in sticky food and drink substances, many were still covered in the previous people's rubbish, mugs etc. Lots of dirt and crumbs under the floors of the tables. I just can't understand why it was this dirty when there were 3 members of staff working. I would normally politely ask the staff if they could give the table a quick wipe down but they seemed a bit unfriendly. One of the ladies working did pick up a wet cloth during our visit and do a superficial wipe around the main counter. This hardly seemed a priority so I was a bit confused by this. Another family came in after us and did ask the young man behind the counter if he would mind wiping the table. He was visibly unimpressed by this so the lady just told him not to bother and they went and sat in their car to eat instead. I went to change the baby, the disabled toilets were equally filthy. Nappies on top of the nappy bin, the toilet brush disgusting. I definitely wouldn't visit this Starbucks again.

Went in for a coffee and loo break but was told we could not enter with our puppy who was being carried. Not very friendly at all.

Closed before 7:10 hoping to catch a coffee on the way home and made it well before half 7 close that it says on Google but it was closed already.

Just visited starbucks Shute, EX13 7PZ. Unfriendly reception, very miserable. We ordered 2 large coffees, 1 danish swirl, and 2 cheese toasties. The cheese was cheap and tasteless my 7 year old refused to eat it. I asked for some more skimmed milk and was asked why? Then the barista went to pour semi skimmed milk to which I repeated skimmed milk please, oh skimmed milk? It was as though the Staff had all been on a large night out and were all hungover. I actually asked the barista if she was OK and she said "yeah, sorry, morning ". It cost £21.00 for this delightful pleasure. I am absolutely disgusted!!!

Coffee and food seemed ok, so it was a good break but staff over-pressed. Seats and tables dirty and not cleared or cleaned from previous users. I asked for Dettol spray and tissues but they just thought I was talking Martian and ignored me. I used hand cleaner and bogroll to clean dirty table and spray chairs. These aspects are really CRITICAL in the current climate

You know what you're getting. Food and drink great as always. Very busy and staff a bit stressed and short - which I totally empathise with. I've never seen it so busy. However, I would estimate that 60% of customers that arrived had dogs which they walked around the side of the premises and the car park area and allowed them to go to the toilet. In an hour I reckon I saw 25 dogs going to the toilet. Not ideal - especially as there's a country lane close by with ample parking and dog walking facilities. I can only imagine what the alley way alongside the cafe must smell like. Poor form.

Was closed 45 mins early. Surly staff member shouted they were closed from behind the counter. Weird and rude. 0 stars..

Popped into this Starbucks on my travels home for a coffee, stood at the till and the lady behind was putting cakes out which is fine but we stood for a good few minutes and she never once said ‘sorry I’ll be one minute’ when she finished she just stood there staring at us never once said hello or how can I help. We ordered our drinks and stood down the other end waiting for them the second girl handed them to up , I say handed almost slammed the drinks down and then walked off we said loudly Thankyou and we just got a look, the rude lady at the beginning was called tina and I think she needs a few lessons in how to serve customers! Not impressed

Dirty, Not fit to eat here. Dead flies on floor beside tables. Old food on floor, food stuck on bottom of window pane going mouldy. ! Floor littered with debris. Most Tables dirty with crumbs & drink spillages.

We have visited a few times in the past as in laws live close. This time will probably be our last. Met by the rudest women to take the order. No “Hello” or “how may I help you”. No Frappes as the machine was broken. Always thought they had at least 2 machines. I just think they couldn’t be bothered to make them as they were a little busy. Finished drink just launched at you with not a thank you or enjoy it in the air. Behind the counter it was filthy. Overflowing bins, empty mink bottles everywhere, countered littered with rubbish. Toilets were just as bad. Main office should really go have a look at this one.

Perfect to stop off at while travelling or a leisurely visit. Plenty of selection of food and drink although it does get busy so sometimes the food sells out. It is very clean and has comfortable seats. Overall very good :)

So nobody has cleaned the outside of this place in days. Litter and ashtrays were like this on Saturday. It's now Monday. It's only 8am and this inside looks like it's the end of a 16 hour shift. Do you even employ cleaners??

Have stopped here several times on my way to Exeter but today made me decide to take a flask of coffee with me instead. This place is getting filthier and filthier. The car park was covered in litter and the outside patio area was dirty. I used the toilets and they were splattered with urine, complimented with pubes and dust everywhere, including the basins. Obviously not been cleaned in a LONG time if dust had settled on everything!! I will use the BP garage from now on, because despite that having a chilly outside loo, it’s not masquerading as something it really isn’t with premium prices too. Starbucks, you should be ashamed.

I live nearby and was pleased a local Starbucks was opening as before living in Devon was a daily visitor. This one however, is a little chef in disguise. I have been here at least every week since it opened and have given it a good chance but I’m not wasting my money any longer.

I use this starbucks regularly for a lunch break during work. Always found the staff friendly and the drinks good. Nice plesent atmosphere for a break.

We’ve stopped here a few times as it’s convenient and easier than Exeter Services. Often have the dog with us. No grass area to let her out and no dog bins for the obvious!

This used to be a Little Chef but has been revamped as a Starbucks. Looks great from outside. The tables were dirty and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks! Staff were stood around just waiting for orders, plenty of time for them to get a brush and cloth out, it wasn't busy! Great coffee but will not go back as there is no respect for the place from the staff.
