The venti iced latte coffee was excellent here yesterday and the solo server was a cheerful and welcoming chap (somewhat surprisingly) as he is about to become unemployed as this branch is closing today. I heard him explain to customers that the landlord has increased the rent but the franchisee decided not to pay and pulled the plug. He was explaining this as I was negotiating reaching the counter through packed boxes of Starbucks inventory on the floor. packed up for removal so the cafe was soulless. As well as coffee I noticed they sold cheese bites. Now these aren't available in Northern Ireland so I asked for the cheese & ham to try them (they offer another type but I can't remember as I didn't want that one anyway) so I got the last portion £3.3. They are like mini omelettes enhanced with tasty cheese and they were pleasant enough but I won't buy any more - too pricy and not punchy tasting enough for a snack. We arrived in this town as a first. Never been before and as it's an ancient town we decided on it as a base to explore and to return to Avebury and Bath. The place is in a sorry state with lots of businesses shut and in terms of takeaway places most wanted cash. There no late night shopping either as at 6pm it largely shuts down. I noted that this area voted for Brexit and succeeded in contributing to make this country poorer. It's Tory controlled for now and maybe that won’t change. Like many English places we visited this trip it's not car friendly with double yellow lines everywhere so at least the road paint seller did well. Not one street had disabled parking space yellow lines for miles even into residential areas. There's little sign of any upturn here about, with mortgages going through the roof, thanks to an incompetent government that managed to squander about 80 billion pounds in about 40 hours which is an odd, very expensive thing for them to do, as their still lauded, former (now deceased) leader said in the 1980’s ya can’t buck the markets. She got that right. And as the folks of this town can see, they got what they voted for. It will always be thus. Bye bye Starbucks. Next....

I popped into Starbucks for a chai latte and a snack to break up my shopping trip, I went upstairs to sit down, scroll my phone and relax. I was shocked to see the place was Absolutely filthy. Food on the floor, all the tables where dirty. I was the ONLY person in there, it was 3pm. There was 2 plastic bins in the middle of the room overflowing all over the floor. Dirty cups and rubbish everywhere, I felt gross, there was no where that looked clean to sit, I started to wonder how clean the preparation area was and it put me off my drink and my food and I couldn’t relax. I swiftly left. Really disappointing as ir cost over £10 for a drink and a yoghurt and a numeric shot,

You tend to know what to expect from Starbucks - the coffee, food, seats, tables etc are generally the same everywhere. And they are all good. But this place is the best place in Trowbridge because the staff are really friendly. You can tell by seeing them interact with the customers. They seem to know the majority of them, and know the delivery drivers and anyone else coming in for whatever reason. I see customers sit at the service area and talk to the staff because they obviously feel comfortable enough to chat with them and know they'll get a friendly response. And that probably means a lot, especially after the couple of years everyone's had. For some reason every time I order the same drink it's a very slightly different price, and I haven't worked out why yet. I don't like to ask though.

Not happy with what staffs talking about how I added extra syrup in my drink and in free as I am a gold member and entirely for it! If you not happy change this rewards policy! Don’t I keep spending money on your company to remain gold reward?

Dirty, tables not wiped down and floors were grubby. The toilet was disgusting, urine stains on the underside of the seat and stunk of urine

The whole restaurant was grubby, sticky floor and dirty tables. The stairwell was littered with rubish and spilled drinks and the toilets were unusable as just too dirty.

Never really busy, but has vastly improved since my last visit when the manager was a horrible man with no management skill what so ever. The shop is much cleaner and the staff are more helpful

Well, I am a coffee lover and have visited all of the town centre shops, I can honestly say this one just does not have a friendly feel, it is not the staff who were ok, but the feel of the place just is not inviting or warm will not be going back.

Food reasonable but service lacklustre if not openly hostile. The place feels uncared for - dirty tables/grubby areas - whole place needs a good clean. The single toilet was not up to standard and instead of feeling refreshed when we left, we felt short-changed and dismal.

Stale banana cake. Tasted like cardboard. Must have been out several days! Disappointed as Starbucks usually ok

When visiting with a friend during a quiet time in the afternoon., Stuart, a very grumpy middle aged employee(or shock horror- even manager?) performed his one man show. He was shouting across customers' heads and after asking him if at least some of the filthy tables upstairs could be cleaned, bellowed at a young girl who was working there. He then through a wet rag at her shouting at her to go upstairs and clean. The poor girl was almost in tears and I was sorry to have asked. Several customers were looking on in disbelief and one customer told me quietly that he was 'always like that'- how unprofessional. Stuart then forgot my order and was clearly irritated when I reminded him politely. I've never received the item or an apology, just a grumpy "forgot". I had placed the order with him so he could not blame it on the staff. I feel sorry for anyone who has to work with this man, Starbucks head office needs to investigate as this branch is being affected by 'Stuarts' behaviour.

I've got to be honest, the hot chocolate looked very very light in colour and tasted very very weak..... Sat in here almost on our own for 30 minutes before working out that we actually had to order at the table rather than having a waitress or waiter...... Let's be honest, they only have one thing to do. Serve coffee, ice cream and puddings. You would have thought they would have a more snappy service and a happy attitude at the till....... Answer bringing my hot chocolate to the table. It would slam down with such force that after the chocolate covered the table. See pictures...... I really couldn't recommend this place at all.

Went in with a friend today around 25-30 minutes before the shop was due to close. Was met with death stares and dead pan faces, the customer service from the lady with short orange/red hair with glasses was awful! Just asked us “what did we want” and then continued to sweep and shut down the shop around us asking us to move out of the way a few times whilst she swept. However the other lady who made the shakes was nice and the shakes themselves were fantastic :)

What’s the point of posting opening Hours if it’s not being followed. Shops door is closed, but people working inside to serve drive by only. Such a waste of people’s time who have taken the time to get here.

I think when you opt to eat breakfast in a supermarket cafe there aren’t expectations of gourmet food. However I think there are standards you should be able to expect and Morrisons spectacularly fell short of even the lowest expectations! My breakfast was just over £11 as I added a couple of extras. Mushrooms were tinned and cold. Tomatoes were chopped tinned and cold. Bacon was lightly warmed in the microwave and came complete with flabby undercooked rind and was covered in white gunk. Sausage was deep fried, and of the quality that even the dog would turn its nose up at. Hash browns were overdone but passable. Toast came cold and chewy with a nice slab of hard butter on top! All this came with a cappuccino that tasted like the machine needed a good clean and service lacking anything close to a smile! I won’t be returning to experience their vile offerings again!
