Costa Coffee in Wiltshire

Just been in to the Costa in Solstice park. Waited approximately 5-10 mins. Not even an acknowledgement, service was non existent. One girl making drinks, one carrying items around No one else waiting, just us. We left and went elsewhere. Even a 'won't keep you a minute' would have made us stay. Please think about your customer base. Shocking.

Drive through was straightforward, service was well mannered and order was made correctly and efficiently. We come here weekly and haven't had a problem yet.

Sadly only one member of staff making drinks despite more orders being taken. Our food arrived a long time before our drinks were made and was consequently cold. Didn’t see a supervisor directing staff for better efficiency

This Costa is very close to the A303, and is popular with locals and travellers taking a break before facing up to the inevitable traffic jam past Stonehenge. On any Summer or Bank Holiday weekend it becomes extremely busy, and a people watching paradise! The staff are friendly and work very hard, particularly in those busy periods. The car park is fairly small ( please note my update below ) Outside is a seating area overlooking the car park. There is a drive thru but having never used it, I can’t comment. I really like this place, but the only thing which lets it down are the woefully inadequate restroom facilities....and considering the footfall through here....is a bit of a design fault in what otherwise is a pleasant building. Standard Costa products as expected. As an update to this review...the statement I made with regard to parking at Toby Carvery is no longer valid. Be warned, there are now anpr cameras covering that car park...with parking fines for non customers.

It was one of the worst cappuccino I had !Staff needs more training how to make proper drinks !! Too busy not enough staff and it was dirty!! Would not go back again

Really slow internet. Imposible to work. Can't even load a website, let alone send email or do video calls.

We arrived at 7pm to partake of a lovely Costa Coffee whilst waiting for our car to charge. However, upon reaching the entrance of Costa we find it closed, despite stating on the door, that it is open from 6am until 8pm. We were very disappointed but MacDonalds were not as they received our custom instead.

Be aware the cafe shuts at 7pm, not the 9pm stated on this site nor the 8pm written on the door. Polite staff but rubbish management communication. Did not bother ordering as had wanted to sit in what is a nice setting.

Bought a reusable flask as always on the road, cost £15. Twice now I've been driving along after a refill and the lid shoots off like a projectile around the car , 2nd time hitting me in the face while driving, very dangerous

I have lost count of the number of times this place has failed to open in the morning or closed early in the evening. The management are rubbish

Excellent service from lady taking orders, but male barista was a bit too cool for school and not listening to instructions. Incorrectly marked location on map (submitted edit). Decent vegan options from standard costa food ranges.

Just called in for a coffee break but this ideally located spot, just minutes from the A303, came up trumps. Good coffee & range of snacks, comfortable, clean & welcoming seating area and so friendly. It will become one of our go-to stops on long journeys :)

I visited a couple of weeks ago for a coffee and toastie. I was served by Jen who was an absolute credit to the company, she was genuinely friendly and very efficient at her job. The coffee and toastie were both very good, but they were soon forgotten about after I had finished them, unlike the outstanding service I received from Jen.

Really nice Costa coffee, large seating area and really spacious. Got a Drive Thru too that helps keep the inside quiet and reduce queues. Staff are really cheerful and high spirited. It shows they run a great team. Really clean and tidy environment.

Who doesn't love a Costa!! Had a de-caff latte, quick and friendly service.

We went through the drive through, greeted by a nice voice asking what we would like to order. We ordered the hazelnut hot chocolate with cream and then we went to the next window to get our drinks. Been to this costa a few times over the time it’s been there and it’s always been a great experience, the staff are always kind and nice lovely to talk to, went in today (06-11-23) and the two who served me where very nice and kind definitely will be going back.

Drive through experience was very good. Chose the medium latte and bacon bap offer. Very nice.

Sunday morning 15th October and we stopped here for a break in our journey from Gatwick to Seaton in Devon. At the time of our visit it was not very busy so there was no shortage of places to sit, we selected the high back chairs in the window area. One of us went up to the counter to order our coffees, while the other stayed at the table. Order of two flat whites, £3.50 each, were soon prepared for us. A good cup of coffee served by polite and efficient staff in pleasant surroundings.

Nice and local but there always seems to be lots of flies on and around cakes so only have wrapped biscuits.

I visited the drive thru this morning ahead of a long journey. The dark haired young lady who served and made our drinks had a very professional yet friendly approach, the service was very speedy despite a busy period - with what looked to be very few staff. Will be returning on future journeys!

A decent place for a coffee break on the A303

Manager Kirsty refused to serve me anything at all. I was forbidden from. Walking on the pavement of the Drive Thru to order and pay for a wrap. I was offered to leave the dog outside and queue in the shop. 16:25 and No Cars anywhere in sight. #COSTADOGHATERS

A good stopover on the A303, always friendly and typically nice drinks served well.

I often stop here after visiting friends in Hampshire. Lovely coffee (ovs!) and good sweet treats to tempt indulgence. Usually, I use the drive thru, so I'm not sure about the inside, but the staff are always polite and helpful.

Typical costa they have all shops taken their foot off the pedal, they still think theirs is the best but they need to keep shops tidier clean the material seats vlearcaway tables and wash them off properly. Justvseems they just don't care anymore. I would love to be a PM regional manager, I would kick some backsides, Every manager should want their shop to be the best, but it seems to much trouble.

Staff are extremely friendly, coffee always great. My son, who is a picky eater, tried my cheese and ham toastie, decided he would eat half of mine and then wanted his own for in the car travelling home.

Quarter of the size yet more expensive - spoils going there now - will not continue to drink costa after 15 years

Female baristas making coffee need a lesson in customer servce very rude. Ordered some food with a flat white and small decaf caramel latte this morning. Large latte arrived which was incorrect. Politely asked if they we could have a small as a large contains more milk and my partner doesn't like the more milky taste of medium or large drinks. Female barista proceeded to pour half into smaller glass. Explained id like it remade due to size and taste and that its already weaker. Two female baristas making drinks both exchanged a look and girl serving me huffed. One made a comment under her breathe to the other as the latte was being remade. Replacement drink made in a rush poor quality. Shame really as the flat white was spot on, girl at till was friendly and the food was fresh tasting. Either poor customer service or girls making drinks were stressed from queue length.

Stopped whilst on a journey. Ordered two drinks which were fine. Whilst waiting, a long time, we noticed that many of the cakes were not covered and there were flies all over them. We probably counted nearly 10 flies sat on different cakes. We informed a member of staff who didn’t seem interested at all. His response was that there are lots of flies about at the moment. Completely put me off buying any uncovered cakes at costa again. Clearly not bothered about food hygiene! Wouldn’t go back again.

Standard Costa coffee stop with usual fare. Service was speedy, the tables were adequate - it was rather busy but we couldn't sit outside as it was raining. Carpark is small and the toilets were their usual (for this Costa) bad, wet state.

Saturday 4th June we were driving from Devon to Gatwick and we stopped at Amesbury for a pit stop and we came in here for a coffee. We ordered two flat whites, which were quickly made. We then took a seat in one type of the brightly colour chairs. This is spacious, modern and colourful branch of Costa. Friendly and efficient service and a good coffee.

Friendly and efficient service, the children reliably informed me that the ham and cheese toasties were delicious. Toilets were clean and spacious with great hand driers! 👍

Nice comfy place to stop and have a coffee. Service a bit slow but it was popular, on a Saturday lunchtime.

I was verbally insulted by the short, blonde-haired member of staff who was constantly picking on me whilst I was placing my order. I do not belive that I should scream the whole place down in order to be heard, just because I am wearing a face mask! The very member of staff is the one who kept on getting my order wrong(!) which I do believe has something to do with my foreign accent! After finally getting my order right(!) she even dared to comment on the private conversation I was having on my mobile phone to her colleague who was preparing my order after eavesdropping...She clearly lacks the level of professionalism, knowledge and expertise therefore I would advice her superiors to place her on a continuous professional development (We call it a CPD in the academic world.) courses on customer service, equality and diversity, anti-bullying as well as communication skills. I had been to this particular Costa many times before as a passing the time place, due to waiting for my child to finish her gymnastics in the area every week however after being insulted verbally as a 'paying customer' by this despicable lady, I would never return there with or without my family and friends and I would strongly advise those who have a non-native English accent to be weary of the hostile behaviour they may face by this particular member of staff who clearly thinks too highly of herself to serve tea and coffee to foreign nationals and takes out her frustrations on vulnerable people like me who clearly cannot even have a private conversation on their phone without being invaded, targeted, picked on, hassled, bullied etc.

Very rude. Couldn't get us out quick enough. Times say 10pm close, however we were kicked out at 8pm. we were not told when ordering that they shut at 8pm. staff seemed to be talking about whilst we were sat at the table. we literally had to ask for take out cups to be able to take out half drunken drunks with us!!!! we stood outside whilst they locked the doors to finish our drinks. Really not happy this evening.

Really not happy with the service we got for the staff team at amesbury Costa to day ever rude we ask for a too drinks and went and sat down to have your drinks and then the staff came up to us and sand we are closing now so could you coffee in to take away cups and we had to do that and told us to get out when we got out there look the door be hide us and we sat out side having your drinks and we saw the staff talking about us and keep looking at us... 😡 So wot be coming back to amesbury Costa and wot be recommending to any one to have a drink thee to.....so ever unhappy with it .......😡😡😡😡😡😡

Extremely slow device just trying to get a coffee, staff are more focused on servicing the car drive through than the long queue waiting inside the store, 17 minutes waiting until I got served. Best advice for this Costa is to leave the queue, jump into your car and join the drive through.

Sarah and her team are absolutely amazing ,we are regulars at the amesbury costa. We are always greeted politely. The staff know are orders and are quick and efficient. When asked to clean our table there was no issue . Any problems we have ,they are quickly resolved . Sarah you and your team go above and beyond

Jodie is a brilliant asset to the Amesbury Costa experience, coffee was brilliant. Lots of new staff here for a really busy coffee shop.

Came here for a coffee only to be told they are shutting the sit in side of the shop. 11:27Am. When asked why I was told by a very rude and abrupt member of staff that they are too busy and can't manage both the drive through and the shop side. Very poor indeed who thought making coffee was so taxing. Mcdonald's it is then at least they can provide a service. Also the bin outside was filled twice over. Very poor service.

Toilets not very clean Chap picking up some rubbish in yard but the two bins were massively overflowing. Coffee was good.

You know its pretty much the same experience in each and every Costa so you know what your getting .

A pleasant space to rest and have a drink after a long drive towards your destination. I would only sugget to staff to keep a close eye on toilets.

Fine,a coffee shop on an A road

Covid QR codes didn't work, fairly average retail offering.

This was as expected, and lovely to have plenty of parking (unlike other service stations further down the A303). We needed just a quick drink on our way and this was fine, also the loos were clean. Would stop here again.

Surprisingly, it wasn't as busy as I had expected. Staff were super cheerful.

Maybe I'm biased because Costa is a bit of a favourite coffee place. Costa coffee suits my taste, so visiting Costa in Amesbury was a pleasant experience and the server was very happy like she was enjoying her job.

Consistently good coffee with friendly helpful staff. Happy to take a break there on every long trip to and from the West Country.

My partner myself and two friends were greeted at the counter by the most indifferent costa assistant imaginable ..after giving my order i was informed the table we had chosen wasnt cleaned ..in fact none of them were cleaned ..weren't going to be cleaned either ,so we couldn't sit there and so I'll give you takeaway cups ....yes its covid and yes it's that crap year 2020 ..but really !! Incidentally the two bins immediately outside the restaurant were overflowing with litter and food waste ..the only living creature impressed by this awful place was big Mr ratty happily munching on a discarded piece of bread by one of the outside tables ....

Very very slow service and coffee was only just warm when we finally got it

I had a very poor experience when I popped in the other morning for a takeaway coffee which ended up with confrontational staff members having their little power trip over masks. I left very unhappy and it really rattled my cage. So, before being a typical keyboard warrior, I did my research on their policies and the governments together. I rung up and spoke to their assistant manager Beverly, who was exceedingly well educated in the manner and could not have been nicer when explaining about their policies. I must admit I was put off going back into Amesbury Costa but after talking it out with one of their superiors I felt much better. Beverly is a credit to your management team, she’s a very good people person! Thank you for making me feel more comfortable when I next return.

Great standard Costa with lots of options and nice spacious seating. In a busy location but still welcoming and relaxing

My previous review on this costa was not good. We visited on at around 9am on sunday. The outside was alot tidied than before. We all had a breakfast roll and medium drink as we saw the offer advertised and one of the cashiers said about it. When the total was rung upon the till it did not total what I expected. I queried this and was told that the discount had been taken off although it hadn't I was hungry and thirsty and didn't want to peruse it. But the point was we were sold the offer which wasn't an offer!!?? Toilets were slightly cleaner but with covid I would have expected them to be alot cleaner with cleaning check sheets etc in place etc. There was plenty of hand sanitizer gel in place. I did not see any cleaning of tables whilst we were there. Staff were wearing face masks and were professional in their approach. They also had oat milk.

Stopped for a Mocha, Americano and some light bites. We used the drive-thru’, friendly staff. Drinks and light bites were excellent. Just the ticket!

Stopped here for a coffee with my family. 2/3 of us wore face masks.... my adult son didn’t and he was aggressively challenged about not wearing one. He has a legitimate reason not to. Costa’s policy is not to challenge and the fact that two of the tree of us were wearing masks gave a good clue.Staff need to be re educated on this.... it caused considerable stress on what was already a bad journey on the way to say goodbye to a dying relative.

Not good service.ordered 2 drinks and 2 sugar (which have always been in small packet) when I got drinks I asked again for the sugar and was told she had put sugar in both drinks. When i said i don't take sugar she got in a huff as she had to redo my drink.

Food and drink, great, but the tables were full of emptys and flys all inside, no one was wiping down tables, or anything, good coffee and quick food and drink

It was lovely to finally have a Costa decaf skinny latte but a tad disappointed couldn't get a lunch deal. I must admit, in the current climate it's not surprising. As usual, happy with my drink and the service

Estaba muy ocupado y de repente me vi Costa Coffee y sabía que hubiera parar para un taza de café y postre. Mi cafe estaba muy delicioso y mi postre estaba divino. Ahora mismo estoy muy contento y si tengo tiempo volveré para almuerzo. Recomendado sin reservation. y por supuesto costa coffee es muy sofisticado y no es caro de ninguna manera.

Enjoyed a break in Costa at Soitise Park Midsummer Place today. Found it to be a very friendly and well-managed coffeeshop. The service was special for sure with creative interaction with the customer's request. Well done everyone for being such "real" people.A special thank-you to Charlotte for such good customer relational-skills. There is a variety of seating styles to suit individuals, couples or families. Always good to chat with local folks who visit regularly and have enjoyed their visits so much. I like Costa, but have to say this one is quite quick, always clean, tidy and staff are always helpful and friendly.

Just to say on the experience of today I would strongly advise anyone to go elsewhere this outlet has no idea how to make flat whites then it cold then return it saying it was not made right and was cold the staff were not helpful and argued with us this is totally against Costa policy if you’re not happy with you’re drink they will remake it then had to wait a long timer for my drink to be remade and one of my drinks made first was hotter then the replacement

We visited with four people and the car-park was very busy but with a McDonalds next door to be expected. The place is not tidy and the service is one paced, the coffees were up to standard. One of the issues in todays fast food/drink environment is balancing the sit in customer to the drive-thru ones. I suspect the latter are better off here in terms of speedy service.
