Sadly this Starbucks has changed in recent times, drinks served in take out cups when staying in. Coffee served with sugar free syrup which was not requested. Cups and mess all over the place and drive through served ahead of customers in store. Going to Worksop next time.

A Starbucks should just be a Starbucks I guess but I had a good experience at the one just off Junction 29A on the M1 this afternoon Very clean and toilets were spotless Friendly welcome and well-made, quickly delivered. Coffee - nice and hot too Not something I would normally review on TA, but I thought they deserved a mention.

Having been given the title of ‘Latte Queen’ many years ago, my Royal status was not amused at either the service, cleanliness or quality of the latte served. The first order was incorrect and while I was offered a refund on that and a correct replacement made, it resembled a cup of watery milk, no froth at all and was undrinkable. The parting “Enjoy” from the ‘barista’ (!) could not have been further from the truth. Very disappointing.

Is the service supposed to be this bad? I'm giving it 2 stars as I'm comparing it to Karen's diner. A restaurant with intentionally bad customer service. Due to its location I regularly use it, the service is that bad I find it funny. This is because I know what to expect now. I work in the customer service industry and use this place for meetings to demonstrate what poor customer service really is. Different staff members all with the same attitude. None of them have dissapointed to deliver some of the worst customer service ever seen in a coffee shop.

Consistently the worst Starbucks we visit. Food stocks have been low on last two visits, so we didn’t stop. Tables poorly cleared and staff not very welcoming. Seems like the place needs a good manager in to offer some leadership and improve standards. Hopefully there’s another branch opening near Chesterfield soon.

We have used this Starbucks on quite a few occasions but yesterday was the absolute worst ... food stocks very low but it was Christmas Eve I guess! The place was an absolute disgrace ... the supply area of sugars, serviettes etc., was so full of dirty cups, plates and rubbish and the bin was overflowing ... the tables and floor were disgustingly dirty and filled with cups, spillages and containers. This establishment needs a good manager and more staff otherwise health and safety will be closing it down!

Staff very rude and abrupt, not welcoming at all. Have been to Starbucks up and down the country, our small dogs always very welcome but not here. Male staff member with earring was not welcoming or pleasant at all… no surprise there was nobody else in. Left and went somewhere else. Not bothered if they have customers or not.

Called in for hot sandwich and latte to sit in. Firstly was told that no medium mugs and would have to have a paper cup. Then sandwich was ready within 2 minutes. Would have been ok but the coffees came after more than 10 minutes. So my sandwich had gone cold. Asked how long my coffees would be to be told that they had drive through to sort too. I said I’m aware of that but I am a customer too and still waiting. First coffee came and then had to wait another five minutes for the second coffee. Absolutely shocking service. Don’t bother if you want a hot sandwich at same time as your coffee oh and someone that works there that actually cares!

A totally disgraceful way to treat customers who bought 4 rounds of drinks and a round of food. We stayed 15 mins over our alloted time. The place was quiet, with plenty of parking spaces and both of us have now been issued a £100 each parking fine. Shame on you Starbucks! I will NEVER visit one of your establishments again.

The walk-in is back open again and everything was well laid out with hand sanitiser and no need to touch anything inside. Welcome frappuccino in the warm weather.

When I entered the store, I had over £7 loaded on my app which was visible. I scanned my app and the money had been taken off my account to pay for the drinks but the assistant (who was very rude) said it hadn’t and asked me to show her evidence of when I last topped up and said there wasn’t enough on there and needed to pay the bill again! They insisted we needed to pay again before leaving (even though at this point I didn’t want the drinks). So I topped up my app with another £5. They scanned this again and said it wasn’t working as the other account had already taken 39p off. I have basically been charged twice (we paid on card at the end) as well as the money been taken off the app which I’m out of pocket for. It look over 15 minutes for the staff trying to sort this out and a really unpleasant experience and terrible customer service especially as I was buying a drink for my Mum before her shift (who works frontline in the NHS). The drinks were cold when we left.

After spending 20minutes sat in the drive through waiting whilst the cashier had a nice chat with the driver in front of us, we got to the window, the lady was rude, didn’t even say hello, demanded the payment, handed the coffees over and walked away from the window. After tasting the coffee, it was watery, and unpleasant. What a waste of £8.40. Train your staff to at least have some manners. Visited Friday 13th November, roughly 1pm.

I’m currently sat eating alone, in an empty Starbucks yet, I have waited 15 minutes for a coffee and fruit toast! I had to repeat my order 3 times and they still got it wrong? 4 staff who were all disinterested, poorly trained, no manners and rude. Dirty tables! Dirty floors and they basically are just standing around. Steer well clear.

Good social distancing in place with a one way system and hand sanitiser. Staff very busy just two people on and boy they were running almost! We had a couple of hot drinks and a hot chicken and mushroom focaccia, some mushroom not much chicken!!! but it was tasty...... Over £17.00 for the above so not a cheap place to stop off!! only two of us.

My son came down in his car to fetch 3 coffee’s. The staff did not secure the lids, first bump in the road 3 lids off and car seat covered in coffee. Tried calling 8 times to speak to someone and phone is ignored. Absolutely fuming.

Stopped for a coffee with my wife. Problem started when we noticed a fly in the bin cabinet dancing on all the food. We decided not to eat anything from this cabinet and pointed it out to the staff. On doing this we got Oh no not again!!! Should be more careful. Tables were still full of left overs and cups, floors were covered in food because they hadn't been brushed, ladies toilet is blocked but no sign to say don't use. Not busy enough for this to happen. Need to shake your staff up.

When I say that I mean, quite ordinary corporate stuff, mass produced easy to drink, you're going to get a "premier inn" experience! Not to hot.....not to cold.... Just right for eating sort of thing.And in some ways so what if you are on business stop here do business and go, but really don't "treat your partner" go indie and enjoy.

Every time I come here I get here half hour after the opening times and the building is locked with no lights on, what gets on my nerves is the staff are in the smoking area puffing away. Guess they just rock up when they feel like it. Not judging Starbucks on this one alone because all the others are fantastic. Just seems like the staff in this one like to press snooze in the morning.

I always stop here on my way through to Mansfield for a well needed cup of coffee.It’s generally pretty quiet and quick, obviously dependent upon who is ahead of you in the queue.There always friendlyIt’s a good size inside in case your not in a rush.

I genuinely wouldn't bother with this Starbucks I waited nearly 10 minutes at the drive through for a half empty, bitter & rubbish coffee for £5.15. I have no issue paying for decent coffee and good service this experience was neither. The staff member clearly didn’t care one bit. I would have minded so much waiting if the staff had told me or even bothered to speak to me after taking my payment from my gold app. These franchises are the ones giving Costa more customers.

We meet family here when they are passing as we live in Chesterfield, the staff are friendly & helpful, if you use you own reusable travel mug or buy one of theirs you save £25p each person each time. Starbucks is trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible but they are halfway there

Went here with friends but not really happy. Some staff are nice but on this occasion the server looked down her nose at us and busy talking to a colleague. It isn't the first time either. Will not recommend to any one.

Come off the M1 at junction 29a and head to Starbucks. You won't be disappointed at all. Very friendly staff and even has a drive through. The only downside is it is too close and too convenient so I am always there.

We cycle down the trans pennine trail on a regular basis and always take a detour to Starbucks at markham vale. The staff are friendly and the coffee great. Nice friendly atmosphere!

Granted, the drinks are fantastic as always, but the drive through at 09:20 is slllllooooooow! Probably understaffed, so not necessarily staffs fault, but nevertheless. If you're in a rush, a coffee from McDonalds over the road would probably win.

Called in to get a cup of tea and some work done- "card machines not working- cash only" was the greeting I received, when I asked if it would be back up soon, the response was "don't expect so, go to the cash machine over there" and pointed to the nearby Spar shop, when I explained I had a corporate card that didn't allow for cash drawing, she just grunted, at which point a slightly more helpful staff member suggested she process my payment through the drive-thru card machine- "I'm not messin' about wi that" was the eloquent response as she turned her back on me- at which point I told them not to worry and I left to write this review. For someone in retail hospitality, the young lady in question needs to work on her appalling attitude, or she may just starve- I wouldn't ever go back there again.

This is a great spot to meet an Ebayer, business colleague or just for a coffee /bathroom stop. Usual Starbucks fare, helpful staff & I've been 3 times now & it's been quiet each time. Easy parking outside too.

I used the drive through last Saturday night, asked for a tall hot chocolate, was given my drink with a horrible chocolate foam on top not the usual vanilla cream. Was not told my drink was going to be made using a different cream and as i am 8 months pregnant and on a very long car journey it did make a very big difference to me!! The chocolate mousse made the whole drink taste awful. Assistant refused to remake the drink for me saying they were now closed even though i had only just driven round the drive through a second ago!! terrible customer service, rude staff! i drive up and down the m1 multiple times during the week and visit this start bucks often. WILL NOT be using again as it isn't the first instance of rubbish service!! my drink was promptly thrown in the bin.... i think you need to give your staff a hell of a lot more training.. starting with how to communicate with the general public.

Absolutely love it! White chocolate mocha is amazing and love the fact it's a drive thru! The staff are so friendly and always welcome you with a smile and beautiful manners! Well worth a quick pit stop if you're in the area! Well done to the staff you're doing a great job of representing the friendliness of the Chesterfield peeps :)

I visited this Starbucks with a friend for coffee and cake. We were over two hours so I raised concern that I would get a parking ticket. We were told no problem, just give us your reg plate and we will sort it. I have been to the store 4x and been told the same thing each time, plus I have written to the manager asking for it to be sorted out and for a confirmation letter. Each time I go, I am told not to worry, but I have not received a reply from the manager and I continually receive letters from the parking eye about my parking ticket. Not acceptable!

This is newly built at the side of the M1, the building is very good a bit of an industrial theme going on inside. The were very helpful and informative. The usual items of food and drink going on.

Stopped here loads of times since it opened about a year ago and devised after 2 more visits this weekend away that it was about time it had a Tripadvisor listing. Great position just off the motorway and has lots of other facilities around it, can be accessed from both north and south on the M1 and has exits to both north and south.

Sunday visit to Chesterfield market area, fancied a coffee We purchased a Mocha, Latte, and Cappuccino, 3 cinnamon buns and soft drink, Strangely sitting in we got paper cups, ( that smelled fusty) All buns served on cardboard trays? Mine was warm and soggy There’s was still cold? Drink was boiling Redhot and tasted horrible, Embarrassingly I handed it back to the counter on leaving with 2 other left hot drinks Total waste of money! ( she never questioned why we left all our drinks) Left and went to Caffe’ Nero

Called for a coffee, no please or thank you from either of the people working in there! Have they not heard of customer service, somebody needs to teach them some manners, my 2 year old grandson has better manners, give it a miss here😡

We visited Willow Springs cafe and soft play regularly prior to lockdown, and this was our first visit since they re-opened. The new outdoor play area is a breath of fresh air for families desperate to let their kids get back to normal - a clean, safe space for children to play whilst parents can enjoy a drink at the spaced tables. Staff were really friendly and we had a great time. Will definitely be returning!
