We visited Willow Springs cafe and soft play regularly prior to lockdown, and this was our first visit since they re-opened. The new outdoor play area is a breath of fresh air for families desperate to let their kids get back to normal - a clean, safe space for children to play whilst parents can enjoy a drink at the spaced tables. Staff were really friendly and we had a great time. Will definitely be returning!

Went on thursday l, to meet a friend and her daughter, while the kids was off school. Got here around 11am and oh my god the cafe was busy, couldnt sit anywhere near the play area, as I have a young daughter who would have loved to play, but after I went to take her around there was way to many children in the area, I think the need to be counting how many kids go in there and making sure they wasnt to many in at one time or a children could come out of there very upset and hurt. Second... the music in the cafe area was shocking, I couldnt hear anything my children was asking for and me and friend couldnt talk as well, it was a joke how loud the music was. Third... I asked a member of staff for some sort of trolley and to be told they wasnt any.... I'm sorry but you are a garden centre, every other garden I have been to always have trolleys so you not having any was a joke. We was there all of 20 mins left to go and get food somewhere else, which we did and i can say we will not coming here again. Very very poor

We called in for breakfast and we were impressed with all of the changes and the changes in progress in the entire centre but unfortunately our breakfast could have been better. The overall breakfast was well presented and there was plenty but unfortunately some of it was hot but some of it was only luke warm. It wasn't very busy at the time so was lovely and peaceful and relaxing but all that changed when the children came in to go into the soft play area situated in the restaurant. It was then very noisy. There is a lovely seating area along the edge where you can borrow a book or exchange a book and sit and read with a cup of tea etc but I would imagine the noise from the play area would affect the relaxation of it. Having said this, the whole set up looks good, but they need to sort the temperature of the food being served.

We’ve always liked it here even before it was Willow Springs and think everything they’re trying to do is great but I think since they’ve started introducing all their different areas etc the children’s soft play has gone really downhill. The past couple of times we’ve been we’ve ended up taking the kids out of the soft play, especially mine as she’s just crawling, because it’s so dirty. They’re obviously trying to do lots of exciting things but it’s meaning the standards have slipped! It’s a shame as this is our usual go to place for an easy play and a cuppa but I don’t think I’ll bother again as I’ve not been able to let my little one sit on the floor or touch the mats. The last time we went all the foam mats were coming apart and the dirt inbetween them was grim, with a crawler who’s putting her fingers in her mouth I couldn’t let her touch anything! I’m not a fussy parent, I know she will probably eat worse ha, but it certainly hasn’t been cleaned in a while and that’s not really okay.

******AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!******* Understaffed. Rude and managers talk about you to other customers & when they say they get back to you they never do!. My friend and I booked a table and afternoon tea but when we got there there was no sign of the booking and staff blamed it on there manager who was in holiday. They actually spoke about me behind my back being rude saying I needed to do this and that and that had no time to make the gluten free afternoon tea which I had pre-booked but my friend was actually stood behind them. We were missing half the afternoon tea and charged £1 less!! I contacted the manager on two occasions to Investigate and offer mey refund who apparently was getting back me me..... Never did then deletes my posts on Facebook

A great selection of food (huge cakes!), lovely staff, and lots for children to do. There seems to be a lot more planned as well so we look forward to seeing how it develops.

Not a great experience unfortunately. My sons where in the soft play area which was a nice area. Unfortunately this is not monitored by the staff well at all, as there were older children way above the age restriction who were being rough with the kids. This resulted in one of them hitting my eldest 5 year old and then hitting my 19 month old boy. Reported to staff nothing done so left. Won’t be returning

Called in today for lunch but myself and daughter we're not impressed, my husband had the burger which he said was lovely, we had panini with a side of chips, the chips were quite soggy and you could tell the oil needs changing, the panini was ok but not much filling and the very small side of salad was very basic looking, for the price they charge they should of added more filling to the panini and a nicer looking bistro style salad, very disappointed as we had read really good reviews

Had to take my car in to a nearby garage so the wife and I decided to pop across for coffee while it was being done. We plumped for the breakfast muffin and a latte as neither of us had had breakfast before we came out, £11.90 altogether. When the lady brought our food to the table she immediately apologised for the wait as nothing and been prepped but we didn't notice how long it had taken as we were playing on our phones. The food was piping hot and freshly cooked, so much so we had to let it cool down for a few minutes. It was absolutely delicious, no complaints at all from us. Next time we're gonna pop in for coffee and cake because they looked amazing especially the unicorn cake.

My usual breakfast place charges £4.50 for a large breakfast including toast and a drink. Called here seeking an alternative and was slightly disappointed. The breakfast at £4.99 was ok without being large or special but the coffee and toast were charged as extras making the total price £7.30.Have been bringing Grand children here for years because they enjoy seeing the animals and the fish and then having a drink in the coffee shop however I will not be returning for breakfast.

This restaurant is in a garden centre. We called in for breakfast and we were impressed. The lady behind the counter was super friendly and helpful. She seemed like a jack of all trades as she was doing everything and was still smiling. It is clean and spacious. We had two Full English which were really good. There was a selection of really nice looking cake on display but as we didn't have any, I cannot comment, but they did look nice.

Called for a coffee, no please or thank you from either of the people working in there! Have they not heard of customer service, somebody needs to teach them some manners, my 2 year old grandson has better manners, give it a miss here😡

Andy and the lads provided a great lunch and a very warm welcome. I would recommend 'posh beans on toast'.

I feel like some reviews are for the Costa opposite Tesco and some are for the one inside the Tesco ? My review is for the one inside Tesco . Yes the windows are a little dirty so they are spoiling the view of the busy road and the homeless man having a fag down below ??? So what get a life ! The windows are Tesco anyway not Costa . We come here every week and the staff are lovely and coffee always great . Served by Julie and Sharon today I think both lovely ladies . I like this Costa everyone should just stop moaning
