I came to pick up a latte and the black haired girl called carrie was lovely , she seemed to be very polite and had such a lovely smile , was nice to chat to her . I'd definitely be coming back again , most of the reviews don't seem as positive about staff but she seemed very happy to serve me , great customer service for sure! ( a good improvement on the store.) Keep up the good work!. 👍🏼

Ordered a caramel macchiato through the drive thru, and it was half empty so I went back in to ask if they could redo it. The darker haired one was then saying “well it has cream in what does she expect”. They just poured cold milk into it again. So i said could it just be redone please? She snatched the cup back from me and said “do you want it or not?”. and i said “yes” and she said “well i’ll f***ing redo it then”. i left very upset because i didn’t know what i did wrong. my drink was half full and i paid nearly £6 for it. I’ve come back out, and it’s still half empty. I gave up.

Drive through no issue however the last three times that I’ve been inside the store the service is the worst I’ve ever experienced. The guy on Saturday mornings on the coffee machine is head down working through the orders for both drive through and in store. The 5 girls wander around with no sense of urgency. They have two machines why are they only using one when they have the staff to operate both and customers are waiting 15-20 minutes for their drink. Who is managing this place ….. it seems no one! I’ll not be ordering instore again after three visits with no improvement. Starbucks you need to review your team in Ashby and deliver some training 15-20 minutes for a coffee from ordering is an epic fail.

Absolutely appalling service, 3 people behind the counter, 1 with hands in pockets doing nothing, 1 making drinks. Waited 5 minutes to be served when no-one in-front of us! Tables were littered with empty cups and plates, nobody making any effort or attempt to clear them or wipe them down Dirty cups all on top of the counter. Staff totally disinterested in serving customers just interested in messing about and talking behind the counter. Considering this has just been refurbished not an enjoyable experience and won't rush to go back. Sort it out Starbucks please.

This is quite simply the worst Starbucks I have ever come across. The cafe was dirty, the floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for a week and the toilets were disgusting. What a depressing experience.

I wrote this review as we waited in the ridiculously long drive thru queue. It’s my second review and I wonder why I returned here. Nothing has changed. If anything the service is worse, slower and with a higher likelihood of you receiving the wrong drink at the drive thru hatch (when you finally arrive there). Seriously something needs to change here to improve service and quality

The staff close the drive thru lane when they get busy inside, not realising that everyone who was about to use the drive thru park their cars and join the massive queue inside. And after that extended wait I am afraid there is little prospect of an enjoyable drink. The quality is variable at best.

Went to get a “quick” drink at the drive thru….. 20 minutes in the queue and only halfway round!! I assume this was because the intercom system wasn’t working. Approach the window to find an out of stock list in the window. Needless to say we had a couple of disappointed children for the out of stock range, and ended up grumpy with the long wait. Waited 35 minutes altogether as there was no way to exit the queue once in it…..

I have visited this Starbucks as a local coffee drive through for years now. Years ago, no problem. Now, the order you drive off with is as likely to be the one the person in front ordered rather than yours. The staff repeatedly roll out milky coffee when the order was black, and two sugars when none were asked for. A simple coffee order is strangely dispensed with some vanilla flavouring in it and of course you might be asked to wait for the incorrect order in one of the three car parking bays while the order is walked out to you. I am not sure what this bay system adds to the experience but I can guarantee that unless you check the contents at the bayside you will often arrive home with a good percentage of your order being wrong or someone else’s. I would not have put this review up if it had been isolated incidents . And of course, are you really going to drive all the way back to ask for the right order or will you, I suspect, resort to clicking on the kettle after all?

Always receive lovely service from this Starbucks, especially Savannah who serves us most of the time. It's always busy and the staff work really hard to get your order to you during a pandemic which has made their jobs a lot harder. Would recommend the white hot chocolate!

Multiple times we have been here now and every single time the staff are mardy and not approachable at all. Feel like a burden to them as they take my order. As if they would rather not be there. Especially savannah who has served me every time i’ve been to starbucks, never a friendly “hello, how are you”. If this is your attitude then shouldn’t be working in this industry. Service isn’t quick either, waiting 10 minutes at least after I have paid at the drive through even though it’s only me in the queue. Very disappointed considering starbucks are supposed to be about excellent customer service.

Last time we came I took my drink back as it was disgusting. This time ordered 2 frappucinos ...got one hot drink. Explained wrong...staff member rude, surly , no apologies....grumpily remade correctly. Whilst she was doing this my daughter realised her drink was wrong also ( ordered normal chocolate, got white) ...I told girl this and she said ' what's wrong with it's...I said it was wrong but was ok...she repeatedly said,' I'll redo it...I'm offering to redo it's etc etc.very, very rude...I've never had customer service like it....I will not be visiting again.They need new staff that are set and know what they are doing and how to treat customers...

The best thing you can say about this Starbucks is the room is very light and the furniture comfy. However I’ve been using it since it opened as a local I’ve been many times( there are so few other places) the staff are mostly ignorant and disinterested tho on occasion there is a decent person there ( I’m sure they soon leave ) . The music is loud forcing you to get closer together and talk louder increasing your risk of catching covid 19 . I asked for the sound to be turned down and a new staff member courteously agreed only for a girl to turn it back up less than one minute later... Why are they playing music at all when it’s a risk for covid transmission ?!! The latest is now they won’t serve you unless you have the nhs app. So no smart phone no coffee. This beautiful country is becoming less free everyday.

Starbucks just re-opened for dive thru orders only. I was really looking forward to this day coming. The drinks were superb, and tasted great. On a sad note, paper straws now!

This is our local Starbucks and we have visited a number of times (sit in, take away & dry thru) since opening. It’s easily located, just off the A42 near Ashby and plenty of parking given it shares its site with KFC.Coffee is pretty good by branded coffee status and since it opened we have tried many of the drinks - I am pretty boring with my Flat White (inc decaf option) however my family like to try many of the other options - hot & cold. Two areas I do think they could improve on are service and cleanliness.Custom tends to come in ‘fits & starts’ and you can find yourself waiting some sometime for your drink after ordering. The staff seem to know what they are doing however can be on the slow side. Many have been there for sometime but still no faster.The cleanliness is something we have noticed and more so recently. Sometimes it’s not clearing tables quick enough but even when cleared many of the tables need a really good wipe down. We went today and our table was sticky to touch plus crumbs on the floor. Not great from a hygiene point of view. As I mentioned, the customers tend to come in waves so they could easily use the quieter time to clear away and a quick efficient table wipe would help here. In summary - a well located local Starbucks, good coffee however could be easily improved with some much needed work on cleanliness.

My wife and I visited and ordered 2 black coffees £5.30. We were told to sit down and the coffees would be brought to us. The mugs brought up onto the bar top were filthy and the girl serving put her fingers inside the mugs. I assumed they were thus dirty mugs but no.... unbelievably they were our mugs. After a long wait, I asked where the coffees were and someone pointed at 2 mugs that looked like 2 different drinks. I enquired whether these were alright and one lad said i should just stir it. The table we sat at was dirty, the dado rail had a load of dust and the mugs were cracked and filthy. Because the staff were so unresponsive we just left. Shame really as it was a unusually bad experience

Let's be honest, the coffee is always consistent at Starbucks, you know what you are going to get. One of the biggest Starbucks I've been in, and by the lack of cakes on selection one of the busiest. Not the most competent staff, but they did their job without going the extra mile.Tables cluttered so had to move dirty cups myself so we could sit down. Overall a good clean required, floor grubby and in need of a sweep and mop.

As with most Starbucks you know what you are getting so there is nothing special that marks this one out. It closes at 7pm which for a drive through seems to be an opportunity missed and the staff are indifferent to the point of you wondering why you bothered. Shame as it could be really good.

The drinks are nothing sort of exceptionally crafted, having gone to Starbucks all over the world I’ve been to a lot. The staff are extremely caring, insisting that customers have a great day adding a personal touch to a great service.

Went in today for a coffee with my mum and it was very good, ordered a caramel macchiato and a flat white, the caramel Mach was absolutely perfect, made by Toby, he was so fluent and good on the coffee machine. The flat white was also amazing with beautiful art on the top. Architecture of the building was great, seats were very comfy and customer service was great with nice clean tables. Would recommend to everyone that wants high quality coffee.

Me and my sister often go to Starbucks, when shopping in intu Derby, for a drink with a sandwich or cake. We couldn’t fault the store in Derby, so today we decided to visit Starbucks Ashby for a quick drink and snack. However we were made to feel like an inconvenience to baristas. Staff were communicating through head pieces with each other which I find quite rude, as it meant they were completely ignorant to customers in store. I would typically wait 3-5minutes for my caramel Frappuccino in the Derby store(even when busy), but was left waiting at least 10minutes for my drink today, even though we were the only people in the queue! The drinks, once they finally arrived, we’re okay. The staff clearly know how to make the drinks, but lack the speed and friendly customer service.

Walked in to Starbucks and decided what I wanted I stood at the counter for 5 minutes till they actually came to me I ordered my drink and it took roughly 30 minutes to come, I had to go up and say I ordered and where was it turns out they forgot, I would not expect to have to wait that long and I would not advise coming here unless u have 30minutes to spare.

I have never had a complaint from this Starbucks the service is first rate. The restaurant is clean and tidy. The free WiFi is excellent too. NB: This is not a franchise, so you can use and receive your rewards.

A recently opened branch of Starbucks conveniently located just off Jct 12 of the A42 at new services I. Ashby. The newly constructed premises has drive-thru facilities and ample parking. Inside it is modern, comfy and airy with excellent wifi and plentiful and varied seating arrangements. I’ve stopped here on several occasions now and enjoyed a productive working lunch.

This restaurant is part of the new Ashby service area just off junction 13 of the M42. The Starbucks is on par with their usual high standards. The range of hot and cold drinks is superb.

Nipped in for my favourite coffee as it was a red hot I thought the air con would be on in these premises but no it wasn’t , so went out side to drink my coffee but only to sit in all this ( see photos )

Was not expecting to be served a Tesco £2.50 ready meal after paying £16 for Yorkshire pudding with beef, roasties, stuffing and peas. The roasties were like those aunt Bessie frozen ones. We spent £46 in total on 2 drinks and 2 mains. Food is edible but nothing to shout about - you're better off going downstairs to pork and pickle they serve FRESH food at half the price. Waited 18 minutes for 2 drinks, and they forgot one of the drinks It wasn't even busy this was 1.30pm on a Monday The decor/atmosphere is nice, modern pub vibes

Just been here on our way home from a trip to London, was really nice, freshly cooked juicy chicken. Best KFC I've had in a long time. Service was touch screens but guy who served us our food was chirpy enough. Only problem was, was to say the services was quiet the tables were quite dirty, but can't blame KFC for that as I think the tables and chairs are shared by all the units.

Nice place, the only gripe that I have is the lack of seating for one person. Often there are large tables for 3/4 and I don't want to take up that space. It would be good to put in more 1 seaters.
