Starbucks in Kingston upon Thames

The Indian man working there immediately realized that I was Turkish. They were very attentive. I was there in August 2023.

In the heart of Kingston this is a nice location to catch up with friends or just chill out with a book. The usual range of Starbucks products and some delicious cakes. The service could be better and the manner in which I was told the toilet was out of action was abrupt and rude. The main toilet was out of action but as a RADAR key holder I could see the other wasn't but I was still refused entry. No big deal but it's just how these things are handled that makes the difference.

£4 for a cup full of froth. Such a rip off.

starbucks sent an empty bag with a note asking us to claim a refund. now i have to wait 5 working days for just eat to respond before they give me a refund or not. why couldn’t they just cancel the order?

Decent coffee shop, plenty of seats inside and outside. Clean toilets. A little pricey but good quality.

Coffee was good - pain de chocolate was a little hard - been coming here for a week - bathroom has not worked the entire time...not a good thing for a place that sells coffee.

staff were rude because we didn’t order straight away tried telling us to leave and then “called” the police even though we were going to be paying customers food was cold ice drinks were warm atmosphere was horrible it was a cold restaurant with the fridges coldness dashing in our faces chargers didn’t work overall your better off going to bentals

Great drink, crême brûlée cold brew tastes delicious. Don’t know why they have the outdoor seating though, full of people smoking and eating food from other restaurants and always looks like a mess.

Got cheese toastie and mango juice. Worst ten pounds ever spent. Absolute waste

Janis and V were very friendly and helpful today and I’d recommend this coffee shop to anyone looking for a great barista.

Clean, prompt and very quick service. Special mention for OMAR who promptly handed over a glass of drinking water (i did not ask for it and even though he was busy serving other customers) to settle me down when I was having a bad cough while sipping in my coffee. Outstanding service !!! 👏 Thanks Omar.

This Starbucks was supposed to be open until 9 pm, but it's only 7:30 pm and the staff has already started cleaning up. They have put the chairs on top of tables, and are cleaning the floors. I was sitting with all the chair up, It seems like they might be closing soon.

Horrible store, staff have no patience and they churn dust up over you and onto you barging around not not even saying 'excuse me'. Plus I had to get my money back so I drink that didn't appear even though 6 or 7 people moved ahead of me who were behind me in the queue

I ordered at 11.46 and it was meant to be 10-20 minutes at the most. I could see from the tracking details the delivery driver was there and not moving. I got my order at 12.32 so 47 mins for a coffee seems a bit ridiculous

As I walked in and the smell instantly made me walk out, it was like a mouldy sewage smell

Rude personal, Disputing drinks No cleaninness POOR Services

Ordered a cappuccino with an extra shot this morning as I like strong coffee. What I got could have been very weak hot chocolate such was the lack of coffee flayour/aroma. Asked for a replacement with 3 shots which was little better, so I left without finishing it. A waste of money. On the basis of this experience, I won't be returning to any branch of Starbucks.

frustrating most of the times asking for a certain type of coffee like only soy milk and I get normal milk. Place must be improved also in cleaning standards. I appreciate there is no staff and main office doesn't want to pay to have someone cleaning and taking used cups out but comparing with costa is very poor.

accused me of LYING ABOUT ORDERING A DRINK. RIDICULOUS!!!!! i ordered with cash so they could not ask to see a reciept therefore DID NOT BELIEVE ME and THREATENED to call the POLICE ON ME. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE AND I WILL NOT TOLERATE SUCH BEHAVIOUR. staff were VERY rude and threatening. HORRIBLE place. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. also accidentally knocked over a chair and staff came up to me and were VERY rude about it even though i apologised and it happened on accident. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!!

This place is a health hazard. The toilets are minging, no soap, the toilet roll is so tightly packed that u cant use it - i had to break the dispenser to get the paper out, there was pee on the toilet seat, paper towel all over the floor and the walls, door handles were sticky. Reported to Angela, the manager - she was not interested - absolutely disgusting

Good but usually smells of toilets, sadly. 🙁 They could do with more space as it's a popular corner location and good meeting spot. Usually feels a bit too busy.

I don’t know what happened to this place , around half a year ago everyone who worked in the store were super friendly , chatty , and the atmosphere was so much better that it is now . There are some nice people !Nastya and Nia are always super friendly , and it’s always a pleasure if it’s one of them who takes/make my order.But there is also some people that if I see working , I just turn around without ordering,it adds a few more minutes but I’d rather go to bentalls . Don’t know their names except angela , who shouldn’t be allowed to work with people . She always meets me with unfriendliest face grimace you can imagine and always rude . I had a three interactions with her , and all of them were unfriendly experience, so it probably not an coincidence)

Toilet is extremely dirty. Reported to the member of staff and she said they will need to close it then!!!! Not clean it. Close it!

Great coffee & service. One of the best Starbucks outlets I've been too.

Whole restaurant smells like the toilet. They also covered over the outlets which used to be there under the benches. It's a shame, because their coffee is nice. They really need to get that latrine smell under control. It's absolutely disgusting. Service was great though. I feel really bad for the staff having to work in such a fowl smelling establishment. The Starbucks over in the Bental Center is much better and smells of nice coffee, as you would expect from a luxury coffee shop.

Unhealthy drinks coeffe with lots of unhealthy chemicals

I popped into this starbucks to use the baby changing facilities and planned to meet my husband there for a coffee and bite to eat but things went from bad to worse. I asked if there was a key for the facilities as they were locked and the woman restocking the fridge just said ask at the desk which I did. The facilities were filthy but needs must with a small baby, once finished I proceeded to leave only to find we were trapped. I knocked on the door but no one responded, I tried the handle several times to no avail. I eventually heard someone outside the door so I knocked again and asked for help to alert them that we were trapped, they responded in an abrupt manner saying "yes, im here just wait!" (Same lady that was stocking the fridge previously). Once the door was unlocked with the key from the outside I overheard the man say to her oh so the locks broken again. I was appaled by the attitude and lack of an apology for the situation so I took my baby and left, opting to dine at a local independent cafe instead who couldn't do enough for us to ensure we enjoyed our visit.

it was okay. the coffee was not made warm or with blonde shots which was disappointing. the door was kept open so it was quite cold. the interior is nice and it’s fairly clean.

The toilets had no soap so I asked the staff. They went in the back rooms and their own toilets, and they had no soap on the whole property. These are the people preparing your food!

Rude staff. Pick any other cafe nearby - there are plenty to choose from.

Friendly staff especially Elisa a wonderful lady who always greats us and acknowledges our presence everytime... Thank you for employing such a great person their love service means alo. Time for a promotion and raise. Just to add Elisa makes the best Frappuccino 👌

The lady on the till was lovely and polite but the blonde girl making the coffees is quite rude and acts like she doesn’t want to be there. Charging £3.60 for a med latte at least have the decency to smile.

Wow!! I just my drink and there was free sitting area in and out of the Cafe. Very nice environment where you see lots of people going about their business.

Great delivery, but the wrong item was sent. The sticker on coffee is correct. Just someone in Starbucks could not prepare what was on in it.

Asked for a iced caramel latte they gave me a iced latte, when i said sorry i asked for an iced caramel latte they said it is even though i tasted it and it wasn’t and it didn’t say iced caramel latte on the label. There is no need to be rude when a customer is checking your are definitely giving them what they asked for! This was at 1.40pm today and it was a man who was making the coffee, unfortunately didn’t see his name otherwise would put in my review.

Worst service in all starbucks chain. I ordered a classic hot caramel macchiato. It took 15mins. And when they served it, it is incorrect. No caramel drizzle on top. I asked the barista just to add the caramel drizzle on top so I can go as I have booked ticket (nearly late already) and the other barista jumped in to the conversation and told me they only have 2 barista today so i need to be patient in waiting. It makes more sense to wait because they are short but please get the order right so you can save more time - it’s just about efficiency. Not wasting time of people waiting. It’s ok to wait but waiting for 15mins and given the wrong order? How is that possible? 20 more people waiting for their drink behind me. Not cool.

There is a lady Lindsay white girl and she is very rude towards customers I think she don’t like her job may be that’s why she is very rude with customers and because of her our mood spoiled in Starbucks

This branch is a bit grubby. Fine for quick take away though.

Staff are always friendly. Never have had a bad experience at this starbucks. Drinks never take too long to make and the vegan sandwich is delicious.

Didn't affix lid properly and due to being delivered on a moped a quarter of my drink was spilt into the bag

Seating area outside never looked after. Empty cups, full ash trays on all the spare tables and chairs! For £4.50 for an iced coffee would expect much more. For the time I was there no one came out to clean up.

I really should know better than to go to Starbucks... Limited choice of coffees (everything i asked for had run out), took absolutely ages for the ineffective staff to make our drinks, and a scuffle broke out.

I'm always disappointed when I go to any Starbucks. They're so mucky. We sat at the cleanest table we could find, but that had dirty napkins and food on it still. A young lady came out with a grubby looking cleaning tray and picked the napkin off the table, but I had to ask her to come and wipe the table clean. I understand these are popular, busy places, but surely keeping the restaurant clean should be a top priority.

Iced caramel macchiato with almond milk is 10/10.

Need a big refresh in order to improve. Just opposite Costa has a brilliant space. A different layout here will make this shop brilliant. The team is great.

My drink were done quickly and was great tasting. That’s what I’m looking for when going to an Starbucks. The man that took my order also took some time for a quick and friendly chat.

today I went to get a coffee, I was waiting for my turn, but strangely your worker did not come to take my order since I was the first, but he took it from someone else after me, for this reason I had to miss the bus I took to go to work, so I left him the coffee even though I paid for it

They can not accomodate arrival demands and because of seat policy there is no enough place to sit. There is no tent or umbrella for outside seats means no chance to smoke and take coffee in freezy and rainy days. Staff is not warm and helpful. No student discount and free product application such as a loyalty program like Cafe Nero. Closing time is 9pm which is early for the neighbourhood particulary for the intensity of students living around the outlet

I specifically requested 8:40 as I knew I wouldn’t arrive until just before then. The order was delivered at 8:24 and the driver had to leave it outside the door on the street (for anyone to take) and this also meant the coffee wasn’t hot by the time I got there

Dreadful products. All three drinks were 3/4 full. Paid for Venti sizes on all three and received Grande

I love this Starbucks, the staff here are super friendly and always happy to recommend me new drinks to try. Sometimes it can be a bit of a hussle and bussle (this location is quite popular) but they always handle things fantastically. The drinks are great and come out pretty quickly in my opinion. It's definitely worth a stop in to grab a coffee.

I always use Starbucks in Kingston upon Thames, on the corner of Castle Street.

Popped in to grab a coffee to go. The queue was small, so fast service. My flat white was made to perfection.

I can't say much negative about such a consistent store brand. This is a normal Starbucks experience. My Americano was good and the food was good, too. Baristas were very nice.

good Starbucks in a great location by the crossing. the toilets are usually locked you need to get the code. most of the snacks like the fruit toast and cheese toast are very nice. staff are well-trained and importantly enjoy their Jobs.

sturbacks is too expensive and food and caffe tests are absolutely horrible staff is too slow on serving i suggest to close all your shop in uk and learn about with a proper Italian caffe coach cheers i will never chose to start my day with you horrivle caffe goid bye

I have been in that coffee shop with my two young children, my son vomited a lot after he finished kind of milk shake. I felt sorry as other people were eating & drinking as the floor was so wet and nobody from the staff helped me to bring any tissues, my son continues vomiting.. I felt so bad and very ignored from the staff?! After two days my son got better and never will come back in that shop again (as it happened twice the same situation)

Went in for a coffee ,told the staff we want stay in mugs when i see the double espresso in a take away cup I politely asked it she could put both coffees in a mug she said yes then ended up throwing the coffee in the mugs with attitude causing both coffees spilling all over the sides leaking then said oops sorry in a sarcastic manner. We ended up walking out not getting a refund or anything because who honestly wants to deal with this in the morning. Please learn manners we are humans not animals for the staff to be throwing stuff disgustingly around very childish and disrespectful . This occurred today 20th around 9.20 i didnt see the girls name but she had black hair in a ponytail.

Second encounter with Tina while i get my coffee and she is quite rude and doesn’t care about customers which i can tell by my experience twice with her rbf and talking to me like i am stupid

Good coffee good place، I came here 2020 in the mid of covid19 while no body in the street, now its 2022 exactly 2 years and thanks God all is well.

Quite busy when we went at 2pm which was OK. Staff were busy probably as there were only 2 serving which meant that there was no one cleaning down the tables. There was debris on the floor which made the floor grimy. Have to say I was not impressed by the standard of cleanliness. It was a reasonable wait time for the coffee. In the end we decided to have our drinks on the go.
