Roasted Hazel Hot chocolate was so delicious. Nice, polite staff. Longer opening hours than a few other Costas.

I used to take my kids there all the time when they were little and it was fab. Unfortunately my recent solo trip when I was back in the area was not impressive. Lady serving me was rude and unprofessional. We all have our bad days but speaking to a friend who lives there still, she said she'd encountered the same with a member of female staff.

The shop was quite busy when I came in yesterday the queue was a bit long. The drink though came quick and it was a good iced vanilla latte. I also bought a banana loaf and had and cheese toastie. I had to wait a bit longer for the sandwich. Otherwise good service.

The best caramel frappe in London! Every summer I have same drink in different Costas around London . And the best one in Surbiton! Reach flavor great size always has fresh cream ! Perfect 🤩

This shop seems to be very busy on weekends, which is not a surprise in this area. We were lucky to find a table without a long waiting queue. There is no outdoor seating, but it was not an option anyway on a snowy day. Still lovely Costa coffee and decent deserts so no complaints

Like Costa's coffee much more than the other chain coffee stores plus their loyalty card is better in my opinion.

My daughter went in last week and bought 2 mint choc chip frostinos for us... there was so much mint liquior in them that they were undrinkable... iv had frostinos from costa in all different countries and these were the worst by far

Ist time using this branch place looks uncared for our table was all sticky and dirty had get someone to clean when we got coffee was luke warm maybe because chap kept talking to tge lady working there took ages get served not a pleasant experience and toilet was filthy could not use

Extremely poor service. I almost missed the FAST train. One staff worker insolently permitted another rude customer to brazenly push in front of me. I suggest you check this form of behaviour. Costa has let me down for the last time #starbucksforthewin

I had a white Mocha this morning which has nothing to do with White mocha, even not good if you considered it normal latte. 2 stars for good service.

I use this branch every evening for my coffee. I must say Vika doesn't get enough recognition. She always remembers my orders and corrects me when I forget what my colleague usually has but most importantly she is real to talk to instead of fake nice. Always happy with customer service.

Its a shame that the few (one) spoil it for the Barista team, customer service is exactly that, serve the customers needs, and don't let your ego get in the way. If you don't like being a Barista and serving great coffees with a smile, try another job. Not so merry Costa, you might make it better than Starbucks, but if it has a dose of patronising attitude, how can customers refuel and enjoy.

Went in for a quick coffee and toastie. It was what it said on the label. Quick tasty warm and filled a gap.

Slow, chatty staff taking 20 mins to make a coffee. Starting an order for someone who arrived after me despite receiving my order a few minutes before the arrival. Also got the order wrong and then argued against the menu saying they were right.

Most of the staff is nice except for the short italian girl. She made a terrible watery latte and when i asked her to please change it, she was rude and confrontational. She told me that there is no foam in a latte and went on a rant about it. I know there is no foam in a latte but it is way creamier and frothier than her watery latte that was closer to instant coffee. If it was not for the other guy working there who de-escalated the whole thing, she would definitely not have changed the drink. I am a regular there and drink their coffee almost everyday, so it's not like I don't know what to expect from their coffee. Very disappointed and upset by this encounter.

Very rude staff best if you tone down the attitude. I asked for some sugar as with Covid restrictions there is no sugar you need to ask at the counter. The so called barrister said over their meaning go and put your sugar in over there very very rude!!!! 14.20 15/3/21

It's a Costa. Fine but nothing special.

I think they now 'get it'. Some people, especially oitside peak hours really appreciate a quiet place (with internet of course) to put in half an hour or so. The cost and quality of the coffee and food is not the top priority

It was too cold to sit in as the would turn on cold fan inside whilst outside is 1 degree. I got surprised when my request to moderate the temperature has been rejected . As I was freezing my coffee got cold pretty fast and I could not enjoy time with my friend at all. Poor attention in service specially at winter time when every one looking for a place to stay warm and spend money and pay extra VAT to come in and have warm coffee there is strong cold fan ins8de coffee shop which bothered me a lot and rude stuff who does not pay attention to customers. Terrible place

Quiet in evening, friendly staff, clean enough and being cleaned more as I left at 7.15pm and comfortable. All good for a very long standing branch of Costa.

The millionaires shortbread is delicious, and (unlike Starbucks etc), house newspapers to read.

Amazing service and lovely coffee. The girl who works here is always really friendly and welcoming, she remembers my order too! I would definitely recommend this place.

We had a Soganini (soggy panini) and a sogata (soggy focaccia). Unfortunately Costa no long use Panini press but microwave and they are no longer crusty but soggy bread. The green tea was good though.

Terrible coffee, standard for Costa so whatever but there are so many better coffee shops that aren't chains nearby and cost the same, why would people go here?? 🤷‍♂️

I've been living in Surbiton for 9 years but rarely go to this Costa branch. Today I decided to take my little daughter out for hot chocolate treat and we sat on the two high chairs by the front window. The table top wasn't cleared from previous customers and I had to call one of the guys to remove the cups and to wipe the top. He wiped it with a dirty looking cloth but he was chatting to the other guy while doing that and the crumbs ended on my daughter. When our order was brought, one of the spoons was dirty - I could clearly see remaining traces of coffee/chocolate that were dry by now. I asked for a clean spoon and didn't get even a simple Sorry. While we were sitting I couldn't help but notice that the windows were dirty on the outside as not much changed when I wiped them with a tissue on the inside. Behind my chair was a bin full of rubbish and the whole atmosphere was unpleasant. Needless to say, I will not be coming back.

Typical Costa. Nice coffee. Could be bigger and no parking. Park in Sainsbury's car park if u need to park

They definitely have a fly problem at that branch, staff also seemed really lazy and bored, they left my sandwich at the bar instead of bringing it over-- even thought it was like 8AM so how could they already be annoyed at customers? I stop in here for takeaway drinks sometimes and the quality varies. I wouldn't sit down and eat here again

Friendly staff. They do however seem to always be out of the cold brew. it would seem like they don't actually have it despite it being advertised.

I visited Costa on 12th October 2018. A number of tables had not been cleaned and there was detritus on the floor. Newspapers were scattered on chairs and there was dust on the curved glass covering cakes and pastries. The cake that I ordered was dry and could be classed as stale. The 2 staff were working as fast as they could to serve customers and clear crockery from tables. The main problem was the lack of staff to attend to basic cleaning and tidying. Over a number of years I have made occasional visits to Costa and have had reservations about it (hence 'occasional visits'), but this was the worst experience. Costa should be employing adequate numbers of staff.

I have been a client of this place for more than 4 years. I never had a problem in this place or any other since I am a client of costa for years I like surbiton brunch till they changed the maneger for a racist and rude one.I think that such a famous brand should choose employees well if they do not want to lose their clients.

Excellent coffee, friendly staff, but not great seating arrangements

Good location on high street.Seating is adequate for such a small building it occupies.Staff do there very best to serve you and get service fast and efficiently.Never had a issue with the drinks here.Downside not much space to wait for takeaway drinks while waiting, as it's near the till and the queue and also the seating.Overall a decent Costa for the size.

Costa does the best soy lattes and has a good selection of teas. Staff in the Surbiton branch are always friendly and provides good customer service.

Costa coffee shop in Surbiton on the corner of the street is cozy, convenient and serves delicious berry smoothies as well as an irresistible range of coffees with cookies and treats if one feels like a nibble.

Coffee is what you'd expect from a costa. Staff are friendly. its often hard to find a table in there and itdoes feel like the tables are all rammed quite close together. It has long opening hours though so is very useful when you are meeting someone in the evening and you have time to kill.

It's OK. Difficult to get seating though.

Nice coffee lots of foam on my cap, the only reason this is a 4 and not a 5 is the price. These places are not cheap to go to for a coffee.

I visited the other day and was really unimpressed. It smelt bad, the food was covered with cling film (which is good!) because there were many fruit flies flying around. I spent my time there wafting away flies from my coffee and cake. It was also very damp inside. The windows were soaked with condensation which is a recurring problem for this Costa at this time of year. All these things didn't make for a nice, relaxing visit - in fact I'd rate this visit alone a 1 star but because I am usually pretty happy and the coffee itself was nice I've given it more.

I had been pre-warned by a friend that there were lots of flies when she visited about 18 months ago but I thought she was exaggerating. Alas no went to have a coffee with two others and the number of flies was ridiculous especially given that it was mid October. I didn't even attempt to have my drink and food. Looks like my friend was right and worse still it hasn't improved with regards to flies issue in 18 months....how are they getting away with it has no one else noticed!

Absolutely terrible service.. The AM was far to relaxed about serving me and ruining the order and contantly protested about my concerns. To add insult to injry The place is like a humid rainforest that smells like clay and soggy clothes. I Would advise all coffee goers to go and get their coffee elsewhere..

Air conditioning is awful... Makes it feel like winter.

One of the only Costa shops in the whole Kingston/Surbiton area that's consistently high quality and never messes up a drink. Always clean, staff always presentable and friendly, couldn't ask for much more really.

This café is always fairly busy, several times I found it no so easy to find a table. Good service, good coffee and a reasonable range of cabinet food. Bright and clean premises, would go there again.
