Lovely branch, nice vibe inside, comfortable seating. The staff we encountered were all lovely and friendly and the food & drinks were fine.

No longer dog friendly with no prior heads up or sign on the door, have been several times before with dog. Staff rudely handled it by shouting over to us .

Staff are extremely lazy. They are meant to close at 18:30 Monday to Friday according to the Starbucks website, yet have already locked the doors at 18:10. It’s rush hour! On previous visits, the staff have been poor in service as well.

No eye contact from barista, no smile. She served my cappuccino in a disposable cup even though I was drinking in and gave me no plate for my cinnamon roll. When I asked for a proper cup she seemed bothered. First table I went to was messy because the last people were given no plates for food. Won’t come again

Why do they put milk in before it’s brewed? Very expensive for a rubbish cuppa. It’s not rocket science but they dont manage it.

Stopped here on our way north on the A1. Waited 10 minutes at the drive through. We ordered Americano, a mocha coffee, a swirl (Danish type pastry) and a panini. The Americano was so weak that I could not be sure it was coffee. The Moca was warm, not hot, the Danish pastry was stodgy. Cost me over £15. Such a disappointing meal. My advice, go to a Mc Donald’s, the coffee is great and although the Big Mac is a bit boring the whole lot cost £5, 3 times cheaper than Starbucks. Isn’t Starbucks famous for its coffee? Certainly not on this occasion.

We were greeted by warm welcoming staff, being a a qualified Barista I did the course for fun, I know good coffee this was excellent, I think Starbucks may have changed their bean supplier. We also had a sausage sandwich my wife had bacon not enough filling which meant they were dry. We had to use plenty of brown sauce and my wife mayo, it brought to mind. For want of a nail the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe the horse was lost. For want of a horse the rider was lost. For want of a rider the battle was lost. For want of a battle the kingdom was lost. And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

We drive up the A1 regularly, often stopping at this Starbucks since it is halfway on our journey. On our last visit the male toilets were filthy, and I made the staff aware. Today the male toilets dirty again, with hair, dust and grime over the toilet cistern. In fairness the staff were under pressure with a long queue being served very slowly. Naturally the staff had no time to clear at least five tables laden with used cups etc from previous customers. We cleared and wiped the table we we used ourselves. Is this how corporate America is in the UK? The new building is well appointed in a corporate theme, but service is slow, filthy toilets and a mess everywhere. Come on Starbucks, sort yourselves out!

I’ve been to this Starbucks drive thru several times now and to be fair, have always had a positive experience. Yesterday’s visit however was hardly good. I usually use the drive thru but needed to use the toilet, so on this occasion went into the store. One of the toilets was out of order, so used the disabled toilet, which was absolutely filthy. The cafe seating area was dirty with cups, straws and napkins all over the floor. Although no excuse, there were two employees working, and being in the hospitality business and a Starbucks fan, I put it down to an “off day” and they’d likely had a rush. Sadly it just got worse. I was the second customer in queue. We both waited approximately 6-7 minutes to be acknowledged as the employees took and prepared drive thru orders, totally ignoring in-store customers. When we finally did get served, “Ethan” did apologise for the delay. I ordered a grande chai latte and then waited for my order to be prepared. The barista “Nuria” was preparing an espresso based drink when there was an issue with the espresso machine. She then called someone and was removing the bean hopper and shaking the machine. This took an additional several minutes. I understand these things happen but a simple acknowledgement would have gone a long way. Once the machine issue was rectified, they prepared the back log of drive thru orders, making in store customers wait (now four of us). Cars that joined the drive thru well after we had placed our orders came and went. Nuria then starts to prepare a caramel macchiato and lid fell off so the the entire caramel sauce bottle emptied into the cup. She was obviously annoyed and then re-made that drink while we all still waited for our beverages, now 19 minutes prior. After about 23 minutes I finally was handed my beverage; no apology or acknowledgement regarding the delay. In was in fact handed to me with an attitude as if my order and custom was an inconvenience. I understand we all have bad days but this just isn’t the Starbucks experience I’ve come to expect, and doubt I’ll be returning to this store anytime soon. An apology and some interaction with guests would be more polite than two employees chatting between themselves on their head sets on what a terrible day it was. I left feeling irritable and annoyed, having spent almost £5 for a beverage that took not far off half an hour to prepare. Waste of my time and money. I’ll opt for the Shell (next door) “ Starbucks to go” machine next time.

Good good but the female staff need a lesson in manners. The young man was excellent. Letting the door shut in peoples face and no apology is just rude.

I am a regular visitor, atmosphere is great, the staff are really friendly, some of the best I have experienced. They do need some help though, the oven has been out of action for 10 days and now toilets for 2 days. Come on Starbucks you have great people a decent brand but the A1 location will only be succesfull if you support it adequately..

Just popped in for coffee and was surprised at how inefficient the staff were. The place could hardly be described as busy yet the staff were slow and bumbling. Thankfully a third staff member arrived and she seemed to know what to do and got things under control. I’ll probably just pass on by next time.

This Starbucks is a regular haunt for me and the Mrs. Often found here on a Sunday morning. Whilst not the best outlook over a speeding A1, it is comfortable, quite tranquil and the staff are great always giving excellent service.

First time coming here. Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and sat in the sun covered outdoor terrace. Fantastic service by friendly staff, had the most amazing squid bites (which we order whenever they are on the menu) these were probably the best we have had. Then had a burger each and sides which were very good value as you got a lot of food and the sides we could have shared. Will definitely be back and would recommend

Such a relaxing traditional pub , warm and inviting . Our table was a little late and we were kindly offered a free drink while we waited . The atmosphere was so nice it didn’t matter to us at all . The food is always 10/10 and the service is exceptional . Really friendly , family run . Exceptional on all counts .

An amazing experience and one of the best meals I have ever had in England. The Chef/Owner was great and let me just say you need to go with his recommendations, he will not steer you wrong. The Clams Bulhão Pato & Prawn “Alhinho” to start were pure goodness and the Seafood Cataplana for two just blew my mind, make sure to order a side of fresh baked bread to soak up all the Cataplana goodness. The special hot peri-peri Ai Ai finish was mind blowing 🔥 . If you need to ask you aren’t ready for it! Will be returning every time I am in the area!
