Great food and place, lovely staff and great atmosphere

Great place to visit wether you're a biker or family. American diner theme with large outdoor covered entertainment area. Outdoor sitting areas. Good food alcohol, hot and cold drinks served here. Friendly helpful staff great atmosphere, well worth a visit.

The atmosphere and food was amazing. Greeted by friendly staff, a very clear menu. Great drinks on draught as well as some of the usual American drinks, I settled for a Root Beer. My friend went for the ribs, which must have come from an elephant! So meaty, I went for a burger, which was very filling. We rounded off with a sundae, which too was very filling. Well priced and you definitely get what you pay for. Will definitely visit again.

When we arrived we were met with the most miserable of faces. The atmosphere was miserable & the meal was mediocre. I don’t eat out often with my partner so was a big disappointment. Another family came in after us & the waitress was much friendlier so I can only assume its regulars that recieve the proper service. Will save my money next time.

Great decor, quick service, and good vibes for the recent Ska night! There's a lot less on the new menu but I prefer that as the food was much better. Reasonable prices too! The chicken burger was very tasty with a proper chicken breast 👌

This still has potential. Nice space, now a free to use pool table (great idea, let’s see if it remains free), nice beer selection (Hoffmeister in a real glass!!). The food is poor though I have to say, I wish I could say different as I’ve always wanted this place to win and I am continually routing for it. Evening menu is now quite limited and no kids menu so the main kid friendly meal is chicken strips which, at £17.50, ain’t that great. I had a “pulled pork” burrito which, frankly, my wife (who is vegetarian) could probably have eaten. It was a huge wrap containing 98% rice, no cheese, guacamole, sour cream and it was a hard job to find pork. No side with it or even garnish. Very basic. I will go back just for the pool and beer but I am prepared to spend money at my local eating establishments so I wish one of them would do a decent meal.

I would love to review the Iron Horse Ranch Restaurant, but unfortunately, I can’t comment on the food because we were never served. We sat for over 30 minutes without any attention from the staff. I even went up to the counter to see if I could order there, only to be told they’d be with us in a minute. Sadly, many minutes came and went with no service in sight. Eventually, we gave up and walked out. It’s a shame that the cat in the restaurant gave us more attention than the waitress. Top tip: get more staff, I’m sure our order alone would’ve paid a full days wages for someone.

We had the most wonderful welcome , as we usually do . We try to travel to this venue at least once a month. The staff are so friendly, kind and nothing is too much trouble . The food has always been perfectly cooked and presented and a willingness to vary the menu to our personal needs. The venue is spotless, interesting and well designed. As a older couple we cannot thank them enough and I really wish I had written this review before.

Brilliant. Loved it. Biker's caff. Fab, friendly lass serving, mom to the resident lovely grey pusscat. Large premises both inside and out with motorbike only parking. Yaay. Loads of bikie memorabilia everywhere. Great outdoor space, with marquee, stage, and a rearing horse in the midst of it. Big bike night is Thursday. Live music. Cocktails. Highly recommended.

We popped in on a Saturday night. were surprised it was pretty empty; maybe three tables were used. Unfortunately, we didn't check the menu before arriving. Not a lot of choice and really pricey, I think one dish was nearly £30 which is fine if the place was full, but that fact that it was dead on a Saturday night and the little bistro across the road was full told me that the food was probably not going to be worth it. There was nothing on the menu that we wanted, so we left without eating, hence no stars for food or service.

A great friendly place with authentic decor let down by very average food. Had a philly cheesesteak and the bread was bone dry and a small amount of grated cheese, not even melted. The fries were nice though

On arrival we were passed a piece of paper which had a fairly basic not too American menu on and it seemed quite expensive for the place . We’ve been before and it’s always been avid menu and food but unfortunately not this time I mean the food was edible but just not good enough for the price . Most main courses were in the £20 region when popping in after school/work for a quick tea it’s not really what I’m looking at paying . I think the menu needs a good looking at to entice the sort of people that will dine there at the moment it’s mostly empty and I’ve got to wonder why . I paid in the region of £60 for our tea that night for one main and three milkshakes and it definitely wasn’t worth that .

I spotted this place while passing through and it looked awesome, so I don't some research and found it on Facebook, its my type of food, the wife had this humongous burger which has two beef patties chorizo bacon spicy cheese with salad and fries, this tasted amazing and she left some fries, I had a full rack of ribs with a light spiced bbq sauce, the ribs were ok not much flavour to them but with the sauce it was good, price wise for the amount of food we had we about £20 each main, I'd say its worth it for a nice evening out, kids menu I could see other kids having food which looked a decent size, staff was friendly and gave advice on what to have as I asked, will come again to try something else.

Third time for breakfast. Not very consistent as the breakfasts seem to be different every time. Different sausages, different bacon etc But my main issue is the plastic plates. I’m not 10! I guess if you really want to be like an American Ranch House, they should be using plastic knives and forks too! But eating off plastic diminishes the quality of the experience considerably for me.

Decent eatery good food service atmosphere..something different it is primarily a bikers cafe but I'm no biker but still liked it so don't be afraid if you don't wear leathers etc .

We were there for an oktoberfest so no the usual fayre but staff were very friendly and the whole place seemed well run.

Waited over 30 minutes. Burger was burnt on the outside and uncooked in the middle, overpriced and underwhelmed will not visit again

We came for a folk roots night at the ranch. Great food, music, service and atmosphere. Thank you to all involved.

Visited at the weekend hoping to get some milkshakes. Waited 20 mins just for someone to come over and take our order. The girl who took our order apologised for the wait so was aware we had been there for quite some time. There were only 3 other tables occupied and the staff were spending plenty of time looking at their phones or chatting to each other, so not exactly rushed off their feet. After ordering we waited.....and waited....and waited. After a 25 mins wait from the point of ordering, I asked if our order had actually been started yet, given that 3 milkshakes shouldn't take too long to prepare. And....nope, after a bit of confusion and questions back & forth it turned out they hadn't even started them. I guess they just forgot the order. So, after 45 mins of wasted time, we ended up leaving and going somewhere else. What is annoying, is that the staff were frequently milling about between the bar and the kitchen and evidently no one thought to perhaps check and see what was going on with the frustrated looking family of 3 in the corner and how their order was progressing. When we left, we were literally the only people inside the venue apart from the staff. Visited two other times in the last year and service was almost as slow each time, although we did actually get our orders on those occasions. Each time there's been only a few other customers, so not like we'd expect much of a wait based on an overloaded kitchen. Gonna avoid from now on, which is a shame as we used to be regular customers for breakfast when the business was sited in the smaller original location over the road.

Lovely afternoon watching dancing and listening to music. Shame the young waitress/ bartender, dressed in black, appeared gormless and quite rude when approached. No matter, perhaps she will improve with gentle encouragement.

This is my second breakfast at the Iron Horse. It’s not cheap, but I have to say the full English breakfast is superb. The chairs and tables could be more comfortable, but this is now my goto place for breakfast. A nice ambience too.

Quite poor all round. Tables need a good wipe and clean - there were dead ants under our table glass. Toilets unclean, with broken door locks. Drinks ok but thats all. Had to ask for napkins but got ignored until staff had finished their conversation first. Not a place I would recommend.

A very welcome surprise. It's a really nice chilled place with a friendly vibe. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the motorbike only parking makes easy work of leaving your pride and joy!

Such a great place. We come here for lunch every now and again and it is always great. The food is fresh made and good quality. I always feel like they put heart and soul into this place and it shows. Thank you.

The burger was average. It looked better than it tasted. Coffee not great. Overall a bit disappointed but we did have very very high expectations.

The woman there was so rude and gave us dirty looks when we were polite, when asking for a menu. She also made us wait ages for a table and could barely look at us, while showing me and my friend where to be seated, like we had done something wrong.

One of the best biker bars around! Dedicated parking for motorcycles, friendly staff, good food!

This is a great place for bike groups and individuals. It has plenty of vegan options and parking for bikes. The atmosphere is inviting with classic bikes on display. I went during a quiet midday and the staff were friendly and the food was good. I had a Phylli steak sandwich and it was cooked perfectly.

Staff were really friendly and helpful even though there was a group of 30 of us, they handled our orders quickly and our food came out in excellent time. Impressed by the range of vegan options.

Love this place, I've been a few times and have been welcomed by staff every time. The food is awesome, burgers ribs and hotdogs. They also do breakfasts and desserts similar to an American diner. It's a great spot for bikers as there's plenty of parking for motorbikes at the back, dogs and families are also welcome and they play live music sometimes too. I would highly recommend this place if you're after a late lunch or a breakfast or even somewhere to go in the evenings for great food and live bands

Excellent authentic American food, wonderful staff and if you go on a night when they have live music its even better. If you like to perform they have open mic nights and folk club nights as well. also seems to be a lot going at other times like Dog friendly gatherings Bike nights during the week, have not attended the dog event but the Bike nights are great if you are into seeing some of the classic and newer bikes all the people who attend are really friendly and just want to talk bike.

Absolutely rubbish service told to wait even for a drink 20th a we sat and still no service, there was only 3 tables who sat before us too. That’s the third time bad service, won’t be going again . Left un feed and un watered. Poor poor

Good place to go for a meal or just a drink.

Organised a 16th Birthday meal, 16 people and 3 (under 3 years old). Meal was booked in advanced for 1pm, place was empty. Menus given and people made there choices, half past one the waitress then came over to advise that they had no pulled pork, 3 racks of ribs, 3 baskets of sea food, and no vegan option (one party member vegetarian). When the food did arrive, it was warm. The two 8oz steaks that were requested to be rare was well done and medium. Spoke to the waitress and she took them back to the 'chef', then returned to advise us that they were only able to change one of the steaks, as they only had one steak left! We then had to decide who was going to have there's changed and who had to put up with it! Two orders for 'Surf and turf', one steak rare and one medium. Both meals were lukewarm and the steaks were well done. Our mature guest was unable to eat hers, our other guest mentioned it to the waitress and she became defensive but apologised but was unable to do anything about it as there was no steak left. The rest of the guests food was average, "it was alright". The mushroom's however were very nice and would say the best I have tasted for a while. The milkshakes were great, drinks were good and the puddings were nice and enjoyable. Paying the bill - Went and spoke to the waitress (who also appeared to be front of house) discreetly about what they could negotiate on the bill, considering at least 4 of us had an issue with steaks and only one meal could be replaced. The waitress was again defensive and spoke very loudly, even told us that the chef knew how to cook a steak! Due to paying for the meals in advance they could not run through the till a discount, or refund a meal. The solution was to to offer some puddings or drinks, which were had, to the approximate total value of £15.00. Taking into consideration: Booked in advanced, there was only one other couple in the restaurant and each meal cost is just above a average restaurants price. We were all looking forward to having a really nice meal with the American diner experience. What we got: lukewarm, overcooked food. Limited menu chose, defensive mannerisms from the waitress ( I personally think this was through embarrassment) and extortionate prices for what was provided. This was certainly not an American Diner experience Personally, this is not a place I would recommend and defiantly will not be going back.

When you order waffles and get pancakes, tell the waiter and he says "oh sorry about that, enjoy them anyway" and walks off. Top tip take a sachet of coffee along which you can use to top up their dreadful cappuccino's. Stepping through the cigarette butts by the toilets kind of sums it all up. Before you ask, yes, we are bikers. The on-line menu is out of date.

Great place for bike meets and big groups. Plenty of vegan options. Lots of parking round the back for bikes. Nice vibe in here with classic bikes.

The place has great decor, a simple but tasty looking menu. What let it down was waiting 55 minutes for a few portions of chips and a burger. The waiter was useless, didn't apologise until we asked twice where the food was. We were there over an hour and only offered one drink. Really poor service. The prices in the menu wasn't the same as the price the guy at the till was using, really poor show. He apologized but still tried to charge us the higher price. I would give it one star but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that the place is good in the summer when they're cooking more frequently so possibly more efficient.

I Parked my car around the back as there was no parking available anywhere near the place. When I entered the building I asked if this was ok and was told no and asked to move it as it’s for motorcycles and staff only? This confused and annoyed me as it was empty in the place and the car park, and given that I’m about to spend a healthy chunk of change in the place with the family it seemed a bit ridiculous. Anyway I then had to go and move the car and walk back with the kids. When we then entered and sat down there was a horrible smell of greasy oil which resembled a greasy spoon cafe… this and a few minutes of waiting at the table was the extent or our stay.. we left and went to the goat down the road which was a good choice..

Food ok maybe a little pricey for some dishes as were the price of drinks- nearly £6 a pint. Waitress really friendly. Will return but maybe just have a burger and coke in future.

Worse meal we as a family have ever had. Beef burgers dripping in fat and no taste. Chicken Burger , almost cold and tasteless Chips , thankfully half decent. No atmosphere. All totally over priced.

Disappointing. At 1.30pm the kitchen had closed, no food available, only hot & cold drinks on offer.

Good meal, well prepared and filling, the lemon curd pudding was tasty. My wife's came complete with candles as it was her birthday. Not planned but a friendly action by lovely staff. Thanks 👍🍰🥳
