Star Pizza and Kebab House in South Gloucestershire

I wanted fried chicken but the staff were quite open about that being off the menu, so I had to try elsewhere. To be honest the place was busy with counter and delivery business orders, so it’s obviously popular despite my vote

Dry kabab meat but fresh salad. Chips were a little stale. Hard to ask questions as they spoke very little English.

So I made my order and the estimated time for arrival was about 45 minutes later. 1 HOUR AND A HALF LATER.. they decide to turn up. I was already in the middle of trying to cancel my order as there were no updates and NO ONE ANSWERING THE PHONE! But then someone knocked on the door. Waited ages for my food and it turned up looking mushy and cold. Upsetting when you've spent money on it. Not recommended at all.

We order from this place often because of the lovely food they do and I couldn’t fault this place at all, the food is lovely, if they make a mistake they do everything they can to put it right. Would defiantly recommend it.

Ordered food from here and will never order again. After over an hour of waiting we rang them to ask where the food was and They had lost our order he then said it would be 10 minutes and will give us some free stuff. Another 30 minutes passed and nothing. Rang again and they said driver left 7 minutes ago and we live less than that from the shop! Another half hour nothing! It finally turnt up over anothwr hour and everything was cold even the free stuff they gave us. Rang back to ask for refund and told him the food was cold and poor and asked jokingly if the driver had walked to which he replied and said he did walk! We weren't allowed a refund and got very cocky down the phone. Will never order from here again!!!!!!!!!! If I could give no stars I would have. Staff were very rude if I could have gone down there the food would have been over their window

We have got takeaways from here for a while now and it was always nice. But the last couple were inedible. Last night it took 2 hours for our food to arrive, it came cold and over cooked. The chicken was revolting, the chips were hard and cold. They also forgot my drink. Will not be using them again. Very disappointed.

Great food and good range not just burgers, pizzas & kebabs. Find it better to collect though as when we’ve had delivery it’s arrived a little on the cold side (Only 2.5 miles away). Staff friendly & helpful. My first choice for kebabs

I have been ordering pizza from this establishment for well over 2 years. The owner and his wife are very friendly people. The staff that work with them are polite and happy people. I have tried various pizzas, parmesan, kids meal deals and burger deals,in all honesty this is my go to establishment and I love very single meal I have ordered from them. The food is always hot, fresh and tasty. They are very aware of allergies that some customers may have, which I do and have never had a problem after eating here. Highly recommended. Fab for the local Muslim community as their meat is halal.

Ordered 3 pizzas and chips. Delivery time was 45 mins but then another 20 mins was added! Food finally arrived an hour and 20 mins later and was not very hot. Opened them up to find one pizza was wrong. Rang and then had to wait another 45 mins for it to arrive. 2hrs waiting for cold pizza is not acceptable. Won't be ordering again!

Placed a order for collection and it was awful! Half the order wasn't there and the food we did have was not great! Never again!!

Lovely food, shame a bit late. Chicken wings could have been a bit bigger and with more flavour.

We won't be having food from here again. Up til changes in ownership this was our go-to kebab place. Never again. Kebab meat was overcooked dry and chewy, the wrong pizza was delivered entirely, their chips were overcooked, their portions too small, their prices higher than average and to top it all off they ADDED 45 minutes to the delivery time first quoted, so total wait time of 1hr 45 minutes. Absolutely disgraceful.

Late and cold food will not be ordering again good bye and good luck star 🌟

The food tasted lovely, it was just a shame that it was all pretty much stone cold.

Paid £2.50 for cheese stuffed crust, so you'd expect cheese stuffed crust. However it was instead a somewhat hollow crust with a little bit of cheese. Pizza tasted a little bit odd too, can't put my finger on it though. And the kebab was too salty. However I can't fault the cheesy garlic bread and the macorini cheese croquettes. Don't think I'll be ordering from here again.

Food was cold, chips were stale, chicken not even hot. The only thing ive managed to have from my order was the canned drink. Burrito isnt a burrito, more of a greasy cornbeef hash looking mess. Not impressed at all.

What a waste of money. Do not order from here - it was appalling. Not only was the order horrendously late, they did not deliver a drink we had ordered and basically shrugged that off. They also delivered the wrong size of pizza, smaller, of course, though they gave us £2 for the mix-up. However, when it was opened indoors, it was without any of the toppings that were ordered either. We were massively overcharged for a small, plain pizza. The food was poorly cooked, cold, and the chips flaccid and sad. Absolutely disgusting.

We were missing our chips, no stuffed crust on the pizza and missing 2 pieces of chicken that we paid for as well as the time having 30 minutes added to it then ut being an extra 15 minutes late

my food hasn't come and I would like my money back the shop appears to have shut with out delivering my food. u would like a full refund but I'm not shura on how to go about it

Over an hour early they even pushed back our delivery time 20 minutes and then turned up over 75 minutes early!

We were not happy at all with the food we received. The fried chicken was greasy and had no coating and looked awful. The greek salad was slimy sloppy and well wet!!! And no olives!!! The delivery driver had the decency to put his half smoked lit cigarette on my garden wall before he delivered my food to me but it's disgusting that he was smoking in his vehicle whilst delivering food !!! I will not be ordering again.

Pizza was soggy/wet and tasted funny! If the restaurant wasn't so hard to hard of I would of rang them to come back and take it back, in the end it went on the bin after 1 and a half slices!!

Food was awful, freezing cold! Panini was meant to be cheese and onion full of soggy onions, chips were like cardboard, shame as I've ordered from here before and just seems to be getting worse!

i could not eat it. i ordered a burrito, i expected chicken,beef and rice in a wrap i got a greasy salty tub of slop....it was mostly melted cheese and the meat was so small it was like mincemeat..i paid almost £10 for it and i could not eat it, it was so rich, salty and greasy. you get a lot..if you are a pig that loves greasy food you would love it...but the burrito is more like a pasta free lasagna.

It was really terrible the chicken was all dry it was cold and the delivery driver had no life in him at all he just gave me the food and didn't say a word over all it was the worst food place I've ever been to

Did have a phonecall to say delivery driver had accident so new driver on way. Food was cold and soggy and overly greasy. Managed to eat some but only reason was being hungry. Will not order again.

Very mixed review here, I will start with the positive, the 12" cheesey garlic bread pizza is the best I've ever had, I mean seriously it was absolutely gorgeous. The star burger my husband had was apparently very nice too. Unfortunately that's where the good bit ends. I had a chicken fillet burger, really wish I hadn't, it was completely inedible, the chicken was so overcooked that I couldn't even chew it, it was horrible (and that cat would agree, he stole it after I'd gone to sleep and he couldn't eat it either). The jalapeño poppers were rubbish, not what you would expect, very overpriced for six balls which were all split open and came with chips (does not state comes with chips and we didn't want more chips), on that the burger said comes with chips but then you had to add them after selecting salad and sauce which was an extra £1.50, but when it came we ended up with two lots of chips for that (really didn't want more chips as they weren't even nice, food waste annoys me but we couldn't eat all those and would have been happier to save the money, unfortunately the menu is not clear). Also ordered a pot of curry sauce which was rank, it was so thick that it was also inedible. All in all very disappointed and I would only order the garlic bread pizza of I came back. Wish it had been better.

Fried chicken was white and not cooked properly. The food was packed upside down. Chicken grease was leaking through the box onto pizza box which then leaked through to pizza. Driver was kind and helpful rang restaurant to explain. The manager was rude and abrupt. Did not apologise for the inconvenience although did offer us refund if we absent the food back. Sent the food back with the driver waiting for refund now. Not happy with the service at all!!!!!

I wasn't impressed with the quality of any of the food I ordered. It was all OK, but quite greasy. Portion sizes are good for the price.

Worst food I've ever had "fried chicken" was so covered in some kind of slime it broke the box and paper bag made me heave in the process the chicken in the burger was like a rock vile

OK so here goes I never leave a review but I have to the food I ordered today was amazing I would actually go as far to say the best kebab and chips I've ever had, very tasty would recommend to everyone I know! Delicious and the chips are so crunchy and good order from here everyone you will not regret it ! 😃

The food was late by over an hour so wen it got here it was cold, dry and just not nice, we paid by card so asked delivery driver to ring store and they hung up on him the 1st time and wouldn't answer his calls after that,,,,tried to ring store are self to ask about money back/discount and wouldn't answer are calls (number id phone),,,,,I will not be using them ever again and will be telling friends/family the same

It would be unfair to say that everything I ordered confused me as the Ben and Jerry's and bottle of Diet Coke were just what I expected. I can't say the same for everything else. I've never thrown away food quite like it before.

Food was okay, but the 'burrito' was just a tray of meat, with two pitta breads. That's pretty shocking. Won't be ordering from them again.

The burgers were amazing so we were very happy, but then the fried chicken was grey and smelled very off (like cat wee) so we couldn't eat it. Mayo was also off. Shame as burgers were very good.

The lady who delivered was so lovely & polite but sadly 30 minutes late with cold food, due to being lost. Not her fault but sadly we couldn't eat our meal in the end as it the as cold (it looked beautifully present and have only pulled it down due to the temperature). It would have been nice to have been offered a discount or the offer of hot food. She was very apologetic though which I did appreciate. We had cereal for tea!

Genuinely food is great! The chilli sauce is fare to hot and ruined the food..... I enjoy hot and spicy foods but the chillie has put a great chicken sheish in the bin If it wasn't for home made chillie sauce that's way to hot it would have been 6star rating

I really do not recommend this place. The burrito wasn't even a burrito. It was just a tray of chips beef and cheese with pitta bread separate. The kebab was just drenched in mayo, making it inedible. The fried chicken wasn't battered/breaded and wasn't fried. I've not seen such horrible looking chicken before, it looks awful. I ended up throwing all the food away.

Pretty poor. Kebab tray was dry, over cooked & tasteless. Forgot to include salad and sauce and the kids meal was soggy and cold. They also added 20 minutes onto the delivery time. They were apologetic but apologetic doesn't give us £25 back.

Pizza was delivered to early, 30 min to early. Hope next time can be delivered in time, as we had to eat cold food, because we was putting kids to beds.

I've used this place a lot in the past but when I ordered the last time, I had a meat on the pizza which I don't eat and unfortunately I couldn't eat it because of this meat and the pizza I ordered wasn't supposed to have that meat on anyway.. very unimpressed.

Probably due to food taking so long to arrive it was tepid at best :-(

Ordered a chicken omelette with NO salad there was bits of the chicken that were uncooked! There was also red onion and lettuce all over my omelette! When I specifically said NO Salad!! Can't follow simple instructions!! Staff didn't confirm the order when arrived at the shop. Overall a bad experience will NEVER order from there again!! If I could give it no stars I would!!!!!

They turned up early. The food was lovely. I only marked down a star as the pizza was ever so slightly burnt on the crust. Would definitely use again
