Best cafe I’ve ever come across and I regularly eat out a good few times a week. Amazing food presentations and portions. Great services but best of all it’s an absolute great value for money. Nothing beats this cafe hands down winner!

We cannot recommend Star Cafe more highly! All the staff are lovely, and there's always a warm, warm welcome! They remember your favourites, and are so friendly, and efficient. The food is fantastic, and there's a massive choice from Full English etc, to American Pancakes etc, to a healthy trendy Mediterraenean-type breakfast, as well as burger and chip lunches, baked potatoes, and more! They also do fabulous fresh orange juice, great coffee, delicious milkshakes, and other drinks! Brilliant value! Always a great crowd in there too. Just go and enjoy!

Trash, I used to like this restaurant and it used to be my go to but after ordering from them today on uber eats I will never order from them again, I paid over £17 for 2 salmon and egg Benedict meals both was lacking hollandaise sauce 1 was missing some salmon and the restaurant failed to follow order notes of a extra hash brown instead of the default avacado on one of the meals, you cannot call the restaurant as their line dont accept phone calls lol this cafe has fell off extremely and its definitely not worth the price.

From the first visit to Star Cafe, I knew then that this would be my local and boy how it hasn't disappointed! The atmosphere is lovely, the owner is such a great guy and always makes you feel welcome whenever you walk in. The recent menu change includes some wonderful pancakes that are just amazing, and presented so well. My boyfriend always goes for the english breakfast which he just loves! Thankyou for being here, we always look forward to coming!

My wife and I eat here every time we visit my wife's aunt in the area. There is an extensive menu, the portion sizes have to be seen to be believed and they are great value. We ow recognise many faces in the cafe as they clearly have lots of regulars. We are always made to feel welcome and the staff are always friendly. Their breakfasts are great, but they also have many other meals in the menu, so there is plenty of choice. I have had their pies, liver and bacon, jacket potatoes as well as their all day breakfasts, and have enjoyed each one. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Ordered a full English x2 costing almost 20.00 the eggs had no taste sausages bacon and mushrooms tastes like rubber and the food was cold. Awful treat this was. Called star cafe to explain the food was not appropriate and explained this politely to get him speaking to me abruptly and referring me to deliveroo. A very disgusting service and food etrotious. Waste of time. Bad customer service

I had the pleasure to have breakfast at Star Café recently and was in complete awe at the standard of food of this unassuming neighbourhood restaurant. My friend and I went a bit nuts on the menu and ordered about 5 different dishes so tried a big feta spinach omelette which was beyond amazing!!! Further we had the halloumi panini which was very fresh and the Full English breakfast consists of a couple of hash browns, rashers of bacon, a couple of sausages, fried bread, 2 eggs medium style, grilled tomatoes and baked beans plus mushrooms. Toasted buttered bread was also offered. Everything was delicious! The coffee served was very tasty! I highly recommend to eat here, I'd go back for here breakfast any time.

🚇Denmark Hill 🍺 £6.20 Guinness The Old Dispensary is located just off busy Camberwell Green in Camberwell, South London. The nearest station is Denmark Hill. The Old Dispensary in Camberwell was originally established in 1862 as the Camberwell Provident Dispensary, providing medical assistance to the local poor. It was converted into a pub around 2004, adopting the name “The Old Dispensary.” This is a cozy, one-bar pub with a traditional Irish pub feel. The servery is located on the right-hand side and features a solid timber counter. To the left of the servery is a small stage used for hosting live music nights. On either side of the pub’s entrance are intimate nooks: to the left, high wood-paneled benches, and to the right, comfy sofas and a log burner. Around the walls, you’ll find an array of bric-à-brac, Irish memorabilia, maps of the Emerald Isle, and a few TV screens. The standout feature is an ornate chandelier hanging beneath a large, unique octagonal skylight. At the rear of the pub is a suntrap courtyard beer garden. The beer line up offers a selection of mainstream brews, independent breweries and of course Guinness. I decided to try the stout, my pint was excellent, price point was just above six quid. I arrived around 2:30 p.m. on a pleasant Saturday in May. The pub was fairly quiet, with a few punters dotted around the bar and in the beer garden. I was joined by @footballstickersinthewild and his good lady for a pint and a catch-up. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed, with a warm, welcoming feel to the pub. The service was great—I had a brief chat with the Guv’nor and one of the team, both of whom were very friendly and lovely-natured. The pub is known for its vibrant live music scene and hosts events on a regular basis. It also shows live sports, including GAA. Visiting this characterful Irish boozer was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The intimate surroundings, the well kept Guinness and the warm hospitality made for a top notch pub visit. Get this one on the to visit list, loved it. Follow @theolddispensary for updates. 📅 17th May 2025 More London pub info on socials @londonpubmap 🍻
