Stanton Lakes in Blaby

Nice friendly welcome on arrival. Very clean restaurant with attentive staff. All four of us really enjoyed our meal (a few more potatoes would of been nice) and a walk around the lake.

Well I need to choose my words carefully as this was a family get together and very much enjoyed for that reason and to be treated by a member of the family was a lovely surprise. But this is a review based on the food and drinks and venue not the people we were with.The Sauvignion Blanc by the glass was practically undrinkable. The apple and parsnip was definitely inedible and no mention of this was made when the whole bowl was taken away at the end. I would have sent it back but it was not the time or place to upset anyone. The pate starter was not served with any crackers just a minute tuile resting on top and it was not particularly tasty and had an odd green colouring on the outside. The turkey roast had one fondant potato with meat balanced on top and small veg with good gravy. We hadn't ordered a pudding but those that had the chocolate fondant said it was dry.The service was fine as there were only 2 other people in the restaurant.Sorry but can't recommend this place to eat based on the meal we were served.

Not having visited here for some time we thought that we would try it out again, I was far from impressed, Saturday evening before Christmas with hardly any other customers than ourselves, lack of atmosphere, it would have been nice to have a little background music, decorations etc. As for the meal again far from impressed, cold plates and the food average and just warm enough. This was definitely our final visit and we shall not be eating there again and would not recommend it to our friends.

we had a lovely sunday lunch with family last weekend . lovely place the food and service were excellent. this was our first visit and we will definitly be returning.

We had a great family Christmas meal here staff were attentive but not overly so. I had the roast beef which I thoroughly recommend and the Christmas pudding was delightful, others had the turkey which they commented was very moist and wondered how so the pear went down a treat the only bad comment was the that the chocolate dish was a bit like a sponge with non of the expected sauce in the middle. But on the hole a great meal for all in pleasant surroundings. Thank you

Christmas crackers and decoration on tables but some of the chairs were a bit low to sit comfortably. The service was good in that everyone's meals arrived within a short time of each other and the staff were efficient and pleasant. My starter- chicken liver parfait was good but could have done with another piece of toast. The main course of turkey was average. One small pig in blanket and no bread or cranberry sauces. There were plenty of vegetables but they were overcooked and lacked much flavour. The Christmas pudding and brandy ice cream however were good. £20 for three courses with coffee extra. An acceptable meal but average. White table linen rather than bare wood tables would be nice for Christmas meals. Nice view over the lake but the lane to the car park is in serious need of better surfacing.

Visiting this superb restaurant once more we found the standards are being well maintained. Clean and immaculate facilities together with matching service and cuisine

Stanton Lakes is one of my favourite places, and today didn't disappoint. The food was to die for, and reasonably priced at £13 fot 2 courses. Love coming here as a treat, and we always feel welcome.

We eat frequently at Stanton Lakes and are always pleased With the food. The menu is more fine dining than pub food so don't expect fish and chips. Having said that the food is extremely well priced at £16 for three courses. The staff are lovely and very friendly and the views from the restaurant over the lake are lovely. We would definitely recommend it for lunch or just a drink. Don't be put off by the entrance drive which has its share of potholes!

Another superb meal at one of Leicestershire's best restaurants. Setting is fantastic. I had the pigeon breast and fillet steak and both were great. The service is spot on and the Helen and Mick are great hosts. Give it a try if you've not been before.

I only ever write reviews if I've had a particularly good experience or a particularly bad one. This was a bad one I'm afraid! Whilst my risotto (after I'd sent it back to reheated as it was cold) was okay, other party member's meals were inedible - cold, tasteless unappetising . It was my mother in laws 80th birthday and she'd specifically asked I book this place because she'd heard so many good things. I would say we were probably just unlucky but even the coffee was awful - tasted like instant! Not what I'd expect from somewhere that seems to be having a (failing in my opinion) stab at fine dining. The staff, I have to say, were lovely but the experience was unsalvageable due to the poor food which we paid full for despite two people not touching theirs.

Excellent Sunday lunch once again in a lovely setting, highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant

Came here for Sunday lunch as was at a bit of a loose end.

5 of us visited for a family lunch and - our first visit. We all enjoyed it very much. The 2 course linch menu at £13 was excellent. Nice food, well presented. Staff were really friendly and helpful and we all decided we would be back again.

We've just had our wedding reception/party, it was brilliant evening, the buffet was absolutely perfect with a massive selection , they were all so friendly and helpful, We highly recommend this venue and when we returned the next day to collect our stuff from the party which they had packed up and put safely out the way. We decided to stay for Sunday lunch which was also delicious

I was so taken with the lovely setting and the atmosphere at The Stanton Lakes. The service was also excellent and the food was, too. We will be interested to sample their tempting lunchtime menu.

We had an amazing Sunday Lunch, beautfully cooked to perfection as usual.. just wish I hadn’t had the epic home made soup and the mushroom starter as we couldn’t finish the Sunday Roast, both gutted to leave some behind. We certainly didn’t need to eat again on Sunday. Perfect day, perfect food, perfect staff and owners and as a Chef I certainly know a kitchen, front of house, a brigade of talented people, well done and we will be back on Sunday. Portion sizes are excellent, views are epic and certainly no smells having read an odd review. I have a nose for excellence and can smell everything in the air and food being in a similar business.. utter nonsense.

I took my mother to the Lakes yesterday for Sunday lunch, the greeting was great our table and service second to none and the food was presented perfectly. I will be returning with family and business clients in the very near future. Thank you to all at Stanton Lakes.

Have posted an honest review of the afternoon tea here in June at which we were served shop bought frozen cakes and more to the point ones with nuts in having booked nut free, the management contacted us to say that they had reviewed their afternoon tea menu and would like to ask us back for a complimentary tea to see the improvements.

Me and a friend visited this restaurant for the second time as we previously had a nice lunch here.

We visit Stanton Lakes weekly, whether it be lunch, Supper or just a drink overlooking the Lake. A beautiful location, fantastic food and ales. Such amazing, welcoming, warm staff and the owners are excellent and very attentive, they sorted out a small situation where two small children were running riot very noisily throughout the ‘what’s normally a very sedate, tranquil relaxing restaurant’, well done to the owners for looking after and considering all their other guests. It’s always a pleasure and an excellent place for scenery, birds, food, gins, camping. I can’t recommend it enough.

Decent setting/location by the side of a lake. Hideous smell upon entering the car park which was ridden with large potholes.

we visited on a july saturday for lunch. This was a special celebration for our friends..12 people in total. I had grilled goats cheese starter which was very nice. My husband had wild mushroom pate with sourdough wafers...yes wafers they were minute as was the pate the plate was half empty. My main course of Summer salad was beetroot cured salmon etc 3 tiny wafer thin pieces of salmon and a lot of slices of tomato served as a diagonal strip across the plate on a bed on minimal quantity of sampire....this was the size and content of a starter. Luckily I had ordered a side salad mostly 90% lettuce with a little bit of chopped tomato and cucumber . We had a very small side order of chips...very small. The others in the party were also shocked at the portions. We did not want to complain as we did not want to spoil our friends special day which they had invited us to celebrate with them. The desserts were of normal portion size. Sorry to leave a bad review but it is deserved. We will not recommend this restaurant.

The camp site was amazing, fabulous prices, brilliant location, and at night it was very quiet. A bit noisy in the morning due to the busy road which is around 300-400m from where our tent was but it was not enough to wake us up. Would definitely stay again, clean facilities with an actual warm shower, and everyone seemed friendly. Can’t say anything about the restaurant though!

I have heard lots of good things about this place as we eat out quite a bit around the area.

Venue for small family party, thought the place was situated nicely, also reviews for the winter menu was excellent, of course changed for summer menu, which we thought would be just as good.

Considered trying this restaurant for awhile , due to the weather we decided to try it as we wanted somewhere where we could sit out side with a nice view. The external area is not promising however inside it improves somewhat. The lunch menu is varied with sharing platters in addition to individual meals. The mushroom pate was very good and both main courses were well presented and cooked. The banana parfait was really good too. The set menu was very good value Nd will definitely visit again regardless of the weather as the restaurant is a good size with pleasant views across the lake.

My daughter bought me an afternoon tea voucher and we went today. Sat outside as the weather was lovely. Sandwiches fine, tea fine but precooked nut free cakes and when they came I recognised them as frozen cakes from Macro and two had hazelnuts on them. It was only because I recognised them as shop bought that we knew about the nuts. I went and told them and they brought out some extra brownies but I had to remove the nut ones onto a dish so she could take them away. Had my daughter eaten them we could have had real problems and I don’t feel they were vigilant enough. Particularly as she commented that she did remember I asked for nut free when booking.

Lovely atmosphere and friendly , efficient service. However, the food left a lot to be desired. The steak meals were good but the chicken and the vegetarian dish were overpriced for what was served. The portions were tiny and there was very little vegetable and potato accompaniment. The desserts were better.

Seen a few bad reviews for this place but can only assume they were really somewhere else or drunk. We had a great meal with good service. Everything nice and hot and tasty as can be. Don't be put off by negative reviews. And a an added bonus are the views over the lake from the restaurant must be the best in Leicestershire.

We have been visiting Stanton Lakes for many years mostly at lunchtime because it was so family friendly but also in the evenings and we could have light bites as well as main meals. Not realising the menu had changed I book to meet some friends there for lunch.

We visited here around once a month with our family and having been told on the phone there was a new menu I thought they may have just introduced a few new dishes however this is not the case. It seems the restaurant has gone for a drastic change towards a ‘gastro’ menu and unfortunately this wasn’t for us. It doesn’t seem to suit the place or the cliental. It used to be so much better and I hope they rectify this and go back to the laid back family restaurant menu that appealed to all.

Visited today in a large group a lovely venue great views over the water great friendly staff a fantastic choice of menu we all had starters and main course roast beef or pork or lamb excellent tasty food plenty of it all our group throughly enjoyed ourselves thank you Stanton lakes we will be back

I went here for a meal with a group of friends. I hadn't been here for a few years as it close to home. Last time I visited they had a fish & chip offer with a drink on a Friday night. We were informed before we booked that they had changed their chef as we were due to have pie & mash but their menu had changed. I ordered Duck ravoli for a starter which was not very hot & the menu said it was served with spinach but I found no spinach but mushrooms instead. It was a good job I am not allergic to mushrooms as it did not state that they were in the dish on the menu. For mains I had a quiche with goats cheese. It was served with beetroot and a lack of vegetables. I was still hungry after eating it, it could have done with potatoes & more vegetables to go with it. I had to order a pudding due to still being hungry. I was disappointed as I ordered cheese & biscuits and they didn't have any! I don't think this restaurant is suited to be upmarket and it was much better how it was before. I didn't think the food was anything special considering it had gone more upmarket. I won't be returning here in a hurry.

Visited here with family. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived in quick time and all together, not in dribs and drabs. The food was very tasty and arrived hot, it was well presented and not overly priced for 2 courses. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend!

Visited today for the first time with family was fantastic place food was amazing, had two course Sunday lunch which was very reasonably priced would recommend the rhubarb and granola, will definitely visit again

Visited Stanton lakes today for a family meal, there was 10 of us in total with 4 children, we were seated immediately, drinks came quickly and our food order was taken. The food then arrived quickly, for the whole party, beef was delicious and a huge variety of vegetables, we also then had dessert- amazing!!

The change of menu for us is a positive & prompted the visit.The menu isn’t extensive but the starters especially the beetroot cured salmon were very good.The chicken supreme mains were also good but crispy skin would of been preferred to the “soggy” skin they came with.

This was my favourite restaurant for many years however due to a complete change of menu I will sadly not be returning. I would have recommended this restaurant to anyone as it catered for all however I no longer feel this way. I understand that things change in time but to drastically change the menu is too much of a change, the food is ok but the price is now a lot higher and it is not as good as before, it is like a new restaurant. There are only 8 dishes to choose from and it feels as if the restaurant belongs in the centre of town, not in Stanton. Such a shame but I hope it does well.

We have been to Stanton lakes a lot over the years. However the menus have changed. We went at lunch time and didn't order anything. We have now been in the evening and I now feel that it is over priced and limited in choice. We went as a group of 4 people and we all felt the same.

The 6 of us all had excellent meals last Friday evening. The new chef served up some delicious food - the mackerel scotch egg was cooked perfectly, the sea bass was very tasty and the rhubarb crumble was perfect. The others were all really pleased with their choices too.

What a fantastic place to have lunch by a lake with brilliant food . Couldn’t fault a single thing . The food/menu was perfect and had something for the x4 of us to choose from . Amazing service with a smile ( especially young Toby who is a credit to you !). Will be back very very soon .

We have often eaten at the Lakes and enjoyed the meals, so when friends asked us to join them for lunch we had no hesitation, however the whole menu has changed to Gourmet and all the old favourites have gone. Not our choice of meal we prefer the old traditional style. Sadly we will not be visiting for a meal in the near future.

We have been to Stanton Lakes before but had forgotten what a little gem it is. We were given a warm welcome and felt at ease immediately.

Overpriced, horrible menu. Actually did not order a thing. Someone needs to look at this menu so it appeals to everyone. Two people on my table ordered fish and chips and I am glad I didn’t waste my money. Fish looked like stodge and one arrived with 9 chips - yes I counted them. Atmosphere was awful due to a large table of drunken louts who were continued to be served alcohol despite shouting at each other but the young staff did not seem that concerned for the other guests.

Went for Sunday lunch 8 of us three courses all different and they were all great.Excellent food and great service Would highly recommend it.

Took my husband there totally by mistake but was very pleased.We were due to go elsewhere but called into Stanton Lakes to see what it was about I’m glad we did as we had a very nice 2 course lunch for £12.We were greeted by two lovely young ladies and shown to our seats with a view over the lake.Lunch was very nice and we had good service.In honesty the lake looks boring nothing happening on it and no sign of anything ever happening.However have to give a “thumbs up” for the restaurant.

The food was disgusting and very over priced I been before it was better but this time is was awful. My friends had soup and it came out cold and had to be re heated, had risotto and it was dry tasteless and looked just like rice pudding it was horrible I won’t be going again !!

Was treated to lunch for my birthday and had a lovely time, weather was awsome, food was great, drinks were cold and the company was 1st class! Love it!

Food and staff are lovely. Really nice outdoor area, and very peaceful. Would definitely recommend. Perfect for anything, wether it’s a few drinks with a friend, or a big family meal.

Despite the wintry weather we visited and found not merely a tranquil and peaceful lake with a excellent restaurant on its shores. Excellent food with steak pies leading the way.A must visit in the late spring with weather enhancing scenery

One of the best Sunday roasts! And a very reasonable for a 3 course meal! The food is fresh, always hot and there’s a great choice of meats and fish etc. The veg is all served separately in side dishes and portions are generous.

Heard good things about Stanton Lakes so took my elderly mother. The young staff were welcoming and efficient. Good choice for all three courses. The food was cooked well and portion sizes were very good. The only downside is that the room became a little noisy, not because of the children but some adults !

A small but pleasant restaurant set within a water sports complex. Not an extensive menu but quality dishes, the food is top quality and this establishment certainly warrants a visit.

The quality of the water is great and Jai is so knowledgeable the facilities are really good and price is very good too Will be back next year

Attend a wedding here, which was beautiful but before and after the event was managed awful and left a bad taste. Before the service we were told that our 2 year old, who was just being a little over friendly but no trouble, had to be kept in the small area by the bar and could not go into the restaurant area (where there were a small amount of dinners, laughing at our little boy) this was annoying as it was difficult to explain to a toddler who thought he wasn't doing anything wrong. After the wedding, which finished quite early around 6pm a few of us went back into the bar area, but we're asked to keep the noise down, I appreciate they had other dinners but we did not feel we had made any more noise than anyone else.

Had an amazing meal here,we came for the fish and chip night,i can honestly say this is the best meal we have had for along time,it was cooked to perfection,Service was very efficient and staff friendly.We will definately be returning soon.

It was our first time here.Found almost by accident. We were prepared just to have a drink in this lovely setting outside but decided to ask if there was a table free for dinner. Yes there was!!. It is not a big restaurant but we were all happy with the quality of the food and the service. It was busy also so I guess we were lucky to get a table. Certainly will be going back..

My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very helpful and the food very good. Ideal place for lunch, unwind and enjoy the scenery as you look across the water.

We stopped by for lunch for 4 of us at a weekend. They had to print more menus as there were not enough, we then had to wait for our order not having told what the specials were.

I was really happy to find a place to take my kids camping for the first time that was close to home. When I arrived to check in i informed the lady I spoke to that I would have a few visitors coming up to have a bbq with us which her reply was thats fine as long as they leave before 10.30pm. We set up camp and my friends came up. Within an hour the owners had come to me asking how many are staying and that they needed to leave at 9pm!I was also told to keep my children quiet as the site aren't used to having "big" parties there was only 10 of us in total and 4 where leaving. I will not be using it again as I feel we where racially targeted as there were other families wih children and they didn't feel the need to tell their children to be quiet bearing in mind that my children were not even noisey.it's a real shame as the site itself is beautiful but next time I shall go somewhere more inviting like Billin Aquadrome.

A group of us decided an overnight camping trip would be much needed break and a treat for the children who were extremely excited. Having previously visited Stanton lakes on numerous occasions for drinks, we thought this would be perfect. NEVER again! We were made to feel unwelcome, we were watched, (closely) visitors were asked to leave earlier than originally stated. The children were counting the ducklings as we walked around the lake (being very good) and we were told “our campers are not used to large parties” bearing in mind that Stanton Lakes has taken our names and ages prior to visiting. On the whole, very disappointing! Totally ruined our weekend, and the children’s experience of camping. Next time we shall book a child friendly campsite, as that is what camping is all about!

Good food and great location. Really peaceful for a Sunday. Well priced and decent portions, 2 mains, 2 desserts and 4 drinks all for under £50

beautiful surroundings, Lake and wildlife surrounds bar restaurant and terrace. Campsite well kept 17 pitches and new toilet/shower block (regularly cleaned) water and waste but unfortunately no where to wash up - so dont forget the washing up bowl ;)

This was my first visit, and how pleased I was with the lovely surroundings and setting overlooking the lake. Lovely selection of a menu with great service👍🏼 Highly recommended

This restaurant was a gem. The staff were very helpful and the food was very good, much better than your average. Situated at the side of a lake it would be ideal location in Leicestershire during the summer as outside tables are provided. However it is advisable to phone to reserve a table, because even on a Friday it was pretty full.

This was my first visit to the premises on the occasion of my wife's birthday.

Came to the Lakes last night for a meal with a friend. This place is a hidden gem. The setting is beautiful, gorgeous on a Summers evening but was warm cosy and so welcoming last night. We both had salmon fillet which was just scrumptious. Lovely potato bake with it and the whole thing was just so tasty. No room for pud but sure they are lovely too. The restaurant is modern clean and very comfortable. We don’t live far and are regular visitors. If you’ve never been you’ve missed a treat!

We wanted to stay local so we booked here for the 2nd year running, the food and service was good, downside we felt very rushed, starters were out within 2 minutes of sitting down and the rest felt as quick, but no issues with the food!!

Had a lovely Christmas day dinner here yesterday the food was lovely and the service first class atmosphere was great could'nt fault anything at all would definately choose to go here again next year. We were a party of six and we all thoughly enjoyed it

Had a nice evening here for our Christmas party. The Christmas pudding was so small you needed a microscope but all else was good. Room would have benefitted from some background music. Bar team really nice.

Visited for a birthday meal. The interior is very nicely done out, everything looks new. We went for the lunchtime two course meal for £10 which was actually really good. Staff were friendly and efficient. We all really enjoyed our visit. I would go again.

We decided to try out the restaurant after recently moving into the area. Wednesday eve was offering a special pie and wine deal so we took advantage of that as it seemed like very good value at £10.95 pp. I had the minted lamb and my partner had the beef and stilton pie. The pies are cooked from scratch so take about 20 minutes. We had a delicious rhubarb gin and elderflower tonic (quality brands) in the comfortable bar overlooking the lake while waiting. The pies were superb - shortcrust pastry and plenty of filling with loads of veg (which doesn’t always happen elsewhere). We were offered a choice of quality wine as part of the deal and I would recommend the Merlot. The staff were just the right amount of attentive and we had a lovely evening. I would recommend Stanton Lakes to couples wanting a cosy romantic meal, to family parties and an evening out with friends as the bar area is lovely.

We visited today for a quick lunch.Now call me picky but when you order a bacon, chicken and brie baguette before its even dished up your nose is twitching for the smell of bacon and taste buds are salivating. Instead it was a slice of very fatty bacon that had either been boiled or microwaved in water.Add to that a bit of tepid boiled chicken and a smear of brie and the whole thing looked as if it was beige on a plate slightly soggy and tasteless.I fail to see how something as simple as 2 slices of bacon can be beyond a chefs grasp of cooking.The location is lovely, staff very good but the food today was not anything we would go back for.

We have visited Restaurant on the Lakes many times and enjoyed the lovely views across the lake and enjoyed sitting on the patio. We took friends last night for a meal which was lovely and a nice selection and enjoyed the Fish and Fizz Friday night (Fizz drink can be changed to a wine if not into Fizz). As well as food (thank you chefs) the service was both punctual and professional. All the staff are extremely welcoming and also very helpful - we will definitely return. Highly recommend and please note this is certainly the place to visit. Thank you all for making a special night.

Stayed here with my family in our caravan and friends in their tent. The view of the lake was beautiful and the site was clean but.....the toilet/shower block was not completed and the other facilities were disgusting and quite a distance away. Our friends used our toilet in our caravan hence emptying our toilet more frequent. The elson was the worst my husband had ever seen. The drinks were really expensive in the bar the staff were friendly and professional andthe decking area was lovely. The pedalos were £10 for 30 minutes which I thought was expensive. For the price we paid to camp for the weekend we were disappointed.

Lovely campsite with beautiful views over the lake, accommodated a group of 8 of us with four pitches together so thankyou for that. We found the site clean and tidy, however the toilet/shower facilities that you have solely for the campers, fishermen and swimming club are absolutely disgusting, whatever the reasons are for the half built New toilet/shower block not being completed, there really is no excuse to expect paying customers to use such abhorrent facilities.In this the 21st century there is absolutely no excuse to not provide basic clean hygienic toilet and washing facilities.For a campsite that can house up to 20 pitches I consider 1toilet/shower facility for male and 1toilet/shower for females, swimming club and fishermen is simply not acceptable.I have taken the time to read other reviews about the site and for you to use the excuse that these facilities are "dated" are unacceptable. We, between the four pitches have paid Stanton Lakes £240.00 for a 3night stay, and have been expected to use these disgusting toilets and shower facilities, luckily for us all we didn't travel far so were able to go back home to have a shower. Perhaps you would like to consider refunding some of that money back to us for not providing clean facilities for us all.I am submitting photographs to prove that this is not just someone putting a poor review on for the sake of it.It's safe to say that we won't be returning back to Stanton Lakes.

Not visited here for a while, and it still holds its charm. Out with family, nice relaxing drink by the lake and then restaurant for food. Food and service A *, will definitely be returning soon. Thank you to all staff, very welcoming and friendly!

super setting, especially if warm and sunny and able to sit outside on the decking, great for lunch or dinner - love the Fish & Fizz Friday offer, so scrummy and great value too, or just to meet friends for coffee or a drink.

We enjoyed a Sunday lunch here, food good, service friendly but the toilet facilities were appalling, dirty tiles and grouting and very unhygienic toilet rims. This was the ladies and our male companions made similar comments. So whilst the location and good was good, this would deter us from returning as I'm now suspect as to the state of the kitchens!

Fabulous food, great service and Gluten Free easily catered for. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food they are serving. We had a lovely Sunday lunch.

Prebooked for a family get together. Efficient and friendly. Most of us were very happy with our Sunday roasts though one of us thought the lamb dry. Desserts fine and dandy though. Slightly sad the pedalos weren't operating but a great afternoon.

Went for lunch today with friends and really enjoyed our first visit. The food was very good,the staff very attentive and the price excellent. The restaurant is comfortable and the views across the lake are beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the area around the lake, maybe next time. We will definitely be back.

Went for lunch and although the place itself and the staff very pleasant, that is about all I can say positively. The website suggests you can wait up to 30 mins for food, we did and was it worth it - not really. My wife's salmon was very bland with little sauce. My chef's pie of the day was more pie than filling! My creme brûlée had sugar granules around the edge - not torched properly - had better. Not impressed and we won't be returning.

Went with a friend and used the lunch special menu. Very good food well presented ,value for money. Friendly welcome and attentive staff. Very helpful. Quite full for a weekday lunchtime. Recommended. Try it

Excellent food. Very tasty and fresh. The waitress was very polite and pleasant. All in all a great evening.

A small group of us visited on a Friday evening and we were pleasantly surprised. All our meals were lovely. We had a little wait for the food but it was all freshly cooked and very tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive but not pushy and the restaurant which is next to the bar is very pleasant. Intend to return

Very good welcome when you walk in. The bar staff were friendly and made us all feel at ease. We were escorted to our table and given our menus. The food was cooked when ordered. This ensured that it was not cold when served. All the meals were cooked to a high standard. The waitress was friendly and ensured we enjoyed the meal. We have used this restaurant before and were entirely satisfied on both visits

Booked in here for lunch time on New Year's Eve , food was great, service good and reasonably priced , didn't have to wait long , no complaints on this visit, also was given a window seat with a great view of the lake !!!

Off the beaten track one might say .. last evening we reserved a table for the very first time at the Stanton Lakes Restaurant.Extremely quiet (not always a good sign) upon entering we were welcomed immediately by one of the attentive staff and invited to take aperitifs at some comfy chairs. When seated with our drinks we were asked 'what time suited us for eating' ... time chosen we entered the restaurant and was immediately served with our starters.Main course followed and after request for a ten minute break before the dessert, two of our party ended with Irish Coffees.The food was excellent, no complaints whatsoever, served swiftly and all the plates returned to the kitchen clean as a whistle .. a sign of four happy and satisfied customers.The only minor complaint, nothing to do with the 'fare' was the roughly surfaced approach road.
