Bees Knees in Blaby

Only met up with friends for a hot drink, but it was lovely & clean & the hot drinks were good.

Standard pub food, nothing to write home about but affordable and satisfying - had an issue with 1 meal that was sorted straight away by the friendly staff. The attached soft play makes this place a real hit for the kids!

We were staying in Leicester and wanted to watch the 6 Nation's England V France game. As we were a party of 6 adults and 2 kids we had to speak to a Member of staff to make the booking. We arrived and were welcomed by a tall Asian male that we assumed was the Manager. He was really attentive to our needs and very accommodating siting us by one of the larger TVs. We later ordered food - cheap , cheerful and wasn’t bad. The only criticism was the app service for ordering drinks. They didn’t appear to have a bespoke bar tender doing app orders that alot of other chains have. I had to go and find my own order 15 minutes later and the barman said he’d been serving customers at the bar. It got very busy later in the evening and the only criticism was the delay at the bar and the app but all in all I’d have zero hesitation in going there again. The Manager is an asset to Greene King and should be promoted. Customer service is key and he got that straight away .

I booked a table for yesterday for 2 adults & 2 children. Upon arrival we were waiting to be seated and the staff had seen us waiting but just walked off twice. Therefore we went and grabbed our own table. The atmosphere wasn't great either from the staff. When our food came out, the food was edible. I just felt overall that the customer service here was not great at all and not like any other hungry horse restaurants. I've been here twice now and both times the same. Won't be returning as felt awkward the whole time.

Not a place I would normally go but the food was nice, portions were big and the beer was cold!

Brought my son to wacky 23/01 Tots time was on, painting was out. Taylor the lady working was brilliant with the kids. Interacted so good and made us feel welcome. Nice and clean nothing was too much

Came today to meet a friend with her two year old daughter for a play and coffee. Taylor had put out paints for the toddlers which my friends daughter loved and there was crayons available too. Great space to run around. A very friendly atmosphere, coffee was lovely too. Thanks Taylor :)

Came into bees knees Kate survived us with a big smile and was lovely Gave our baby lots of attention and was very polite

Booked a table for yesterday for 6 adults and 3 children for 5pm for a birthday celebration. When booked over the phone asked about the soft play and got told it will be open till 7pm. Just before 5.30 went to the soft play for the lady to say it’s closed so explained when we book the table they said the soft play would be open. The lady then became very rude saying they are closing early but said she will go check with the manager. She then returned with an attitude and said “we were told on the phone no food or drink and only 1 adult per child aloud if we have to go in”But u are normally allowed to eat the food ordered from there in the soft play area, I think it was more to do with the lady had already cleaned up and packed everything away 1 hour 30 mins before closing time and her family was waiting for her to finish her shift INSIDE THE PLAY AREA. Which was a bit off a problem as we all wanted to be together as said it was a birthday celebration but we decided to still put the children in to keep them entertained and I ended up having to sit with the children on my own so everyone eles could still enjoy the family members birthday. All in all we had rang to book a table next to the play area and check the time, the staff didint want us there as she wanted to finish early and was rude because of this. She had her own family in the play area with her own child against the aparent 1 parent per child rule. Dreadful service

Visited again Saturday, service was top notch, all the team happy to help, Kate was especially helpful as always and we couldn’t fault the food.

Visited after going bowling nearby. Hadn't reserved and staff kindly shifted some tables to fit us in. Great team

Excellent value. The food was plentiful, and good. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff were attentive and friendly, so no lengthy wait between courses.

Rather uninviting soulless place. Dull atmosphere, unimaginative menu which comes out quick but the food is rather greasy and cold. The staff members are polite but rather robotic. Wouldn’t rush back.

Review: I ordered wings expecting them to look like the picture on the menu, but they were nothing like it. They didn’t even ask if I wanted any sauce or seasoning. The wings came out looking undercooked and gummy, and eating them actually made me feel sick. Honestly, you’re better off sticking to a Wetherspoon pub for wings – at least you know what you’re getting there.

Great value for money , excellent service at our table and at the bar , fairly quiet as you would expect on a Thursday evening. Food and drink of a good standard , and hot . Well done everyone at the Bees Knees

We've been here a few times over the year and the food and service on each occasion has been good. Good value food and plenty of seating. Only booked once (Fathers Day), on other occasions we were able to turn up and have a table fairly quickly. No issues with the food and it didn't take ages to be prepared.

Julie was an amazing waitress Dinner was lovely. 2 adults and 3 kids. Large kids meals do come with salad unfortunately, chips extra. I did get sung birthday too though

Foods not always great but its edible and cheap, love the Baked Alaska dessert shame they microwaved it this time 🤦🏼‍♀️ the custard is supposed to be frozen so I'm prepared to have to wait for it but they rushed it out and it was melted 🫠 service is dull, everyone looks depressed there it's a mood killer

I was served with promptness and welcome by Julie who was my host - food choice was limited for what I would normally choose - however, the halloumi strips, half roast chicken and jacket potato /salad was my perfect choice. Thank you all.

Sadly declined again since my last visit which is a shame. Of the five dishes we had, kids tacos was the best and thoroughly enjoyed by the birthday girl! Chickpea curry was last to arrive - lovely flavour, but lukewarm with a soft, stale tasting poppadom. Sloppy Joe sandwich was anything but sloppy and extremely disappointing with so little filling it might as well have been simply toast! Servers were young and lacking in any form of enthusiasm for their job, therfore doing nothing to enhance our visit. No interaction with our little girl, when it was obvious by the gifts and cards it was her birthday. For a supposedly family orientated establishment, I personally found it disappointing on this occasion.

Went yesterday for my 2 Grandsons birthdays quite alot of us.Staff friendly food was nice and hot and we didn't have to wait long.Will be coming back 😊

Food was very good and hot. Service was not so good, we felt ignored after being put on a table that was awful, in a draft from the door, close to the main path to everywhere including the toilets it felt dark and a afterthought... not nice

Food was ready almost too quick and had clearly just been cooked in the microwave - presentation was shocking. Kept being pestered by staff to write a review whilst eating the food. The menu states 2 for £12.99 on any classics but was charged full price at till and when questioned it was told ‘I don’t know’.

I went here last Saturday and the food was lovely. I was served by a young man called Levi. He delivered excellent customer service and he made me and my family feel very welcome.

Can't really complain. Fast service, good food, entertainment for children, And a bar for drinks.

Love Hungary Horse, as their prices are affordable and lovely food. Unfortunately Greene King are shutting them all down. The Oadby Owl and the Mill on the Soare have both gone and replaced with more expensive menu's and rebounded as grill and sports bar's. Please don't let this one go, people love an Hungary Horse pub.

Wacky Warehouse is outdated, service is usually with a smile. Went to blow my nose in gents toilet block, no paper. Music is depressing. Megan J, Danielle S, Sachin C, brilliant hosts. 5 stars for them

Part of a chain of restaurants one of which I have reviewed before poorly, but this was the opposite. The food was hot and looked good as well as tasting nice. The staff were lovely and the overall atmosphere was great.

Awful food was so old it had been sat in kitchen all day and just reheated had to ask for it to be fresh. Cutlery was dirty not just on fork but over 20 different forks. when we showed them they said its ok its just cleaning salts

Came here on Monday for Breakfast, as busy as it was staff were on it and amazing with the service. The kids enjoyed the wacky, Megan was so kind making sure to speak to each of them and interacting with the adults aswell as the children! The food was brilliant, can't fault it at all! We will definitely be returning!!

Sadly this place doesn’t allow small dogs inside, other hungry horse 🐴 pubs do. It’s a shame as we are from out of town.

Just had a mixed grill. One of the worst pub meals I’ve ever had, been here a few times and it’s very hit and miss with the food will never eat here again after tonight.

I went there for a drink, I ordered 4x black rum, he gave me a glass with a drink and I went to the table, I finished the drink and went for the second one and it turned out that I had already been given a double and when I wanted to buy another one, the bartender said that I had already paid for the one he gave me, he didn't even warn me that I had to pick up the next one, what's more, the second drink had already been made earlier, probably at the same time as the first one, embarrassing, it's hard to find the bartender because he's busy talking to the staff, no quality and professionalism, the bartender just sells panties. There are generally no customers there and now I know why. I don't recommend it

Soft play is not free so does not even make sense

We went to Bees Knees, for my Sisters birthday the other day. All of us was very pleased with our experience we had, The food was brilliant, we all enjoyed our meals. The service was excellent, Levi served us on the bar and he was very helpful and polite. This is a great pub! Well done team

Visited during the school holiday, took advantage of the special offer available. Fed the family for a bargain price. Colouring sheets and crayons available for the children which is a great way to entertain them whilst waiting for food.wouldnt hesitate to visit again if in the area.

i went to the wacky warehouse with my granddaughter who quickly found a friend to play in the side play area as it was really busy, the staff were still tendering to the customers needs with a smile on there face
