A very pleasant coffee shop. Full of character staff are very good. Coffees served in unusual glasses but somehow it pretty cool. I had a gingerbread chai latte which was beautiful. Will come again. Thank you

Fantastic place to stop for coffee, cake or even a sandwich. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff, very nice decor, some nice cards and gifts to buy too. If you don’t want the noise of the big brand shop, and want better coffee and service, this is the place .

This place is incredible! My wife and I first came here when our daughter (now 2) was just days old. I first saw it because it was breastfeeding friendly and that’s what my wife needed at that time. Now, it’s like a home from home, amazing coffee, quality cakes, friendly staff, owners too are incredible. We no longer use the big corporate conglomerate’s that live in Bicester, Stansfield and Hoole is far superior. Please support this local business, we love it!! Thank you boys xx

Have visited twice now however I don’t think we’ll go again as I didn’t enjoy the atmosphere at all. Too small. Everyone can hear everyone else’s conversations. And what is the fascination with drinking from jam jars these days?! There are better coffee houses/cafes in the town in my opinion. Food was ok & it’s clean though.

So pleased we went into Bicester town centre rather than the outlet village as found this little gem. Really friendly owners - even gave us dog grooming advice!!! Tasty food, well presented in a comfortable environment.

I have been visiting this cafe a couple of times a month since I stumbled across it about 9 months ago. It is my go to place to have a comfy sit down, cup of good coffee and a snack to eat. The sofas and rustic decor give it a really relaxed feel. The staff are always welcoming and come with smiles on their faces. Being brought a glass of water without even asking whilst I was breastfeeding was a really nice touch. Having seen some delicious sounding and inventive sandwiches on the menu, I will be sure to return for lunch soon and continue to support a valued independent coffee shop in Bicester.

Visited this cafe recently and it's a gem of a place, with everything thoughtfully provided to make your visit a real treat. There's a wide range of drinks, sandwiches and salads, as well as hot sandwiches and pizzas, and luscious cakes. As if the food wasn't enough, there's a range of seating, none too close to the next so you can talk to your friends, games for all ages, colouring books to occupy children and magazines. On my visit the owners were running the cafe and it's their personalities and enthusiasm that really make the visit extra special. They obviously set high standards and we were greeted immediately, a table found and orders taken as soon as we were ready. Many of the visitors seemed to be regulars which is a good sign. On the old stone walls there's paintings by local artists, and the exposed beams add to the ambiance. It was a great experience and I'll certainly make a beeline for Stansfield and Hoole on my next visit to Bicester.

Quick lunch today after popping in to town with the Mrs, busy when we arrived but luckily a table for 2 awaited. Greeted as we came in and soon had the table cleaned and menu in hand. Loved the chicken bacon ciabatta sandwich.Menu is straight forward and not over complicated, service is quick and welcoming, tables for two and settee for small groups. Definitely visit again

We live in London and met our friends from Birmingham at the cafe as a half way point. There were 5 adults and 3 children and the facilities for children and babies are brilliant with toys and lovely clean baby changing with wipes and nappies! Massive scones; very tasty cream tea and a great children’s lunch menu. Can’t wait to try the sandwiches next time!

I’ve visited this cafe several times for coffee/lunch and the staff are simply amazing. It is very baby & child friendly (with toys, books and free nappies available) and they are so accommodating of my daughter’s allergies/intolerances! They made a special lunch just for her, with an almond milk babycino for free! The food is yummy and everything is reasonably priced. I really hope this place stays open for many years to come.

This place is an absolute gem! I went to Bicester town centre for the first time in a long while for an afternoon mooch around the shops and went to Stansfield & Hoole for a cuppa and some nosh. The lovely staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the seats and tables are cosy and comfortable - it was like popping round a friend's house! I loved the quirky window décor and thought the local art and cards on display were a nice touch and a welcome contrast to all the faceless Costas and Starbucks that are everywhere now. My panini was delicious and very generously filled, and even the glass my hot chocolate came in was adorable. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

I came to Bicester as i was born here and wanted to bring my son for memories. I was celebrating my birthday and came to Sansfield and Hoole for my celebration lunch with my mum. As soon as we entered the cafe the most friendliest man greeted us told us to take a seat and relax and he would bring over the menus (he could obviously tell my mum was tired hehe) we relaxed on a sofa next to a table. He recommended items on the menu. I had the most filling delicious panini with crisps and salad ( i was being a bit piggish and wanted to add extra items in my panini) which he said was absolutely fine to do :) I really appreciated the extra ham as i was craving it . We both ordered iced coffees delicious!! All reasonably priced too. I loved the beautiful decor in the cafe made the cafe so cosy. It sold paintings and cards too. Being a mum I know how stressful it can be finding a cafe to relax with a cup of coffee which also caters for children. This place is PERFECT. They provide high chairs, games for children colouring pens ect. But the BEST touch is they provide nappies and wipes in the toilet as well as a potty/ toilet seat and stool for children. Such a lovely touch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I would happily bring my son here and feel relaxed. Thank you so much for your service it was the best customer service I received the whole holiday:) xxx

My friend and I popped here for lunch. We were surprised at the limited choice with nothing hot, not even the pannnis. My friend had a mocha and it t was a small glass cup fr £3 which would have been great if t had been filled to the top band t it had a lot of cold froth on the top. Although bought knives and forks had to ask for napkins. The egg baguettes were nice and the bread fresh.

Popped in for a quick bite and a cup of tea. Although I felt the menu choice was limited and what I would say different, I settled for a toasted teacake and my wife had Tuna Mayo on a panini. The cafe itself is nicely laid out and clean and not too many covers. Service was good and David was very polite and welcoming.Price was reasonable. What I also liked about the place was that it did not smell of cooked food. I do hope they do well in Bicester a good tea room is hard to find.

From the outside, the Swan Inn might appear to be a simple village pub, but step inside, and you’re in for an extraordinary experience. Upon entering, we were immediately impressed by the open view of the professional kitchen, where chefs could be seen meticulously preparing dishes. It was clear right away that this was not just another gastro pub. We were warmly welcomed and seated, and our waiter, Joe, guided us through the menu with care and clarity. His thoughtful explanations made choosing our dishes an enjoyable experience. Before our starters arrived, we were treated to freshly baked bread served with two types of butter: honey and malt. The combination was sensational and set the tone for what was to come. For starters, I had the venison, which was incredibly tender – it melted with a single fork stroke. The flavours were perfectly balanced, allowing the venison to truly shine. A delightful surprise was the inclusion of two mini onion rings, lightly battered and utterly delicious. My wife opted for the burrata, complemented by a delicate candied orange peel. It was a brilliant pairing, and we’ve already decided to replicate it at home. For mains, I had the rib-eye steak, cooked to a flawless medium-rare. The quality was outstanding – a well-hung steak that true steak lovers will immediately recognize as exceptional. My wife chose the Thai curry, which was a masterclass in balance. Unlike many other curries, this one wasn’t overwhelmed by cream; instead, the fresh, fragrant ingredients took centre stage. If The Swan Inn were located in a more densely populated area, I have no doubt it would be booked out weeks in advance. It’s a hidden gem that delivers in every way. We loved every second and will absolutely be returning. Five stars, without a doubt.

A Disheartening Departure from Excellence I visited this Deli with high expectations, having previously experienced its beautiful atmosphere, delectable food, and superb service. Unfortunately, my second visit left me utterly disappointed. The food fell far short of the excellence we enjoyed last time, and the service, to put it mildly, was exceptionally unfriendly. Regrettably, I found myself unable to voice my concerns during the meal, as I was with friends whom I respected too much to disrupt our gathering. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in quality, and I must admit that, despite my initial positive experiences, I won't be returning to this establishment. PS: Unfortunately, I do not have any picture of my second visit (
