For anyone visiting Clacton-on-sea & fancying a nice quiet snack & drink - look no further than the West Cliff Theatre bar. Breakfast before noon & soups, sandwiches, cakes, paninis, jacket potatoes & specials are available until 16.30. Soft drinks, hard drinks, teas, coffees - you will find what you want. Enjoy!

A lovely place to enjoy a delicious home cooked lunch, sandwiches or home made cakes at reasonable prices in pleasant surroundings and lovely welcoming staff. We always look forward to going there when we have to visit Clacton hospital as it is just across the road. Do give it a try!

This is a lovely cafe inside the theatre. Run by volunteers who are always friendly and willing to help with any special requirements including gluten free. We have become regulars there now, particularly enjoyed the bubble and squeak which took me back as it was the proper stuff not the fried mixed veg you find elsewhere.

Had a lovely cooked breakfast today. Nice friendly service. Great value for money. I did make an enquiry about holding a wake, which to my surprise they can cater for. Highly recommended

After a warm and friendly welcome, your order for food is not a long wait, when it arrives it is a very good and great value meal. Have been at Showtimes, but the lunchtime slot is worth venturing just that little bit further to from the town centre.

Having read that rather strange review saying ‘rather like a greasy spoon cafe’ thought I would say it’s always very welcoming, usually with the most temping aromas coming out of the kitchen, very tempting cakes on offer to go with a welcoming tea or coffee. Nothing like a greasy spoon cafe! Oh and very good value too! Well worth a visit for lunch or another noon cup of tea and cake.

On a very damp and dreary day I was welcomed on my arrival by the two lovely ladies behind the counter. I ordered carrot and ginger soup to warm me up, I've never tried this combination before and thoroughly enjoyed it, reasonably priced and they do decaff coffee and tea which suits me. Will definitely be back to try the pea and mint soup or possibly the tomato and basil

Just passing and I thought 'Why Not'. So I went in and had their standard breakfast, nothing was too much trouble, cooked in Frylite etc. Nice meal and promptly served, with a very friendly demeanour, which was nice. And not to mention the very reasonable cost as well.

Popped in for a couple of drinks and snacks, as we have been to the theatre evening performances on many occasions. It was ok, but really like a greasy spoon cafe.

Went here today and was met by a very pleasant couple of ladies by the names of Carol and Tracey. Ordered cheese and onion sandwich and a latte. Both very nice and excellent value. For those with limited mobility there is a wheelchair ramp and disabled toilet. Definitely worth a visit.

It used to be so nice on a Saturday morning to go for coffee and a chat, but since the lady running it retired and another one took over, it's lost all its friendly atmosphere and the prices have shot up!! It seems that they can't get rid of you quick enough either. I have heard that it's really good on weekdays though.

Love this little cafe, ideal for me when I pick my little one up from nursery to have a cuppa and my fave lemon drop cake or even me and family/friends to have a chin wag. Carol is lovely, friendly and very professional! We are regulars and the prices are fair and the Brie and cranberry panini is lovely

Visited this cafe on Sunday after Dear Zoo & were delighted to find this super cafe open after the show. Great drink & food menu. We sampled the salted caramel cake-twice, just to be sure we liked it!! Such friendly staff, clean, didn't hurry us out, even though the show had finished. Wonderful place. Great value for money. Would definitely recommend.

The pub is run by an old lady who likes a nice chat. It is a real English pub. Great food. You can spend the night here with your camper in the parking lot when you come or go to or from the Ferry in Harwich.
