We've driven past the turning to this place dozens of times, and today opted to follow the sign. Well, we found a lovely quirky little tea room. We had a cream tea and a toasted brie and cranberry sandwich, all of which was lovely. The atmosphere was definitely retro, the staff delightful, and we will definitely return!

Staff were amazing and welcoming, we decided to sit outside. There was 6 of us and plenty of room to sit and not feel over crowded. I went for scones and tea. My friends and family went for sandwiches which came with crisps or salad. The sandwiches were from chunky bread and lots of filling. My scones were delightful and with the teapots and cups and saucers in quirky colours we all loved it. We will be back.

Such a lovely quirky little place to go and visit for lunch or an afternoon tea. We enjoyed a lovely lunch there which came out quickly and the food was delicious! The tea they served was loose tea in a tea pot - such a lovely experience. We also brought some loose tea to take back to try at home. The perfect gift if you are a tea lover! Looking forward to another visit to enjoy some cake a having a go at the ceramics. Would have given a 5 star, however the place had a slight musty smell, despite being spotlessly clean, however we couldn't have enjoyed our visit more and would happily visit again.

Quirky, quiet tea rooms with stunning views out over the estuary. Plenty of free parking, Inside and covered outside seating with an excellent variety of cakes and beverages available. The staff are very polite and friendly. Inside are an eclectic collection of bygones, including 78rpm records and typewriters. There is also a large collection of pottery blanks which children and adults alike can decorate and have kiln fired. Can definitely recommend a visit.

We visited the tea rooms last week for a group booking with a large group of friends who have holidayed together for 50 years . As we had moved to a new location we wanted somewhere to get together and this was the place we chose . It was such a beautiful setting and the staff could not have been more accommodating even with some late a quirky dietary requirements > Given that this was the largest group that I believe they had served they coped admirably and I would have no hesitations in recommending them

We visited the cafe with Tendring Cycling Club (who have visited probably every cafe in the Tendring area) and we were all very impressed. The cafe opened early just to accommodate our large group of 18+ cyclists on a very very hot day. The homemade strawberry sundae was the best I’ve had in a very long time and the espresso was lovely. Most people make an unbearably strong espresso but this was lovely and smooth. Thank you for accommodating us, filling up our water bottles, and generally being so friendly.

I've been here several times now but today I organised a ride for my local cycling club (Tendring CC) and we stopped here for coffee, cake and ice-cream sundaes. It's such a lovely peaceful location and so nice to sit outside and admire the view on a summers day.The Victoria sponge cake is always excellent (made with fresh cream and strawberries) and the ice-cream sundaes are lovely too.The cafe went out of their way to accomodate our group of 18 cyclists, opening up 2 hours early especially for us on a Sunday (by pre-arrangement). We arrived in 3 waves and they dealt with us very efficiently.

Visited Hamford View with Tendring Cycling Club and have to say that Hamford has gone straight to the top of best coffee and cake shop venues which is no mean feat considering that I have visited every cake stop in the area. Probably the best and largest portion of Victoria sponge I have had in months. The ice cream sundae was simply excellent. The staff had opened especially for our group which was much appreciated. The staff smiled were friendly and efficient throughout despite having to deal with multiple orders in a short space of time. Looking forward to my next visit.

We sought out Hamford View as the jumping off point for a walk in Hamford Water, and ended up lingering a lot longer than we intended because of the wonderful view over the fields, to the docks. We both had a yummy sandwich (smoked salmon and cream cheese, ham and cheese toastie), which came with homemade coleslaw and a salad. We both had cake, I had a vegan chocolate/orange/coffee marble cake which was delicious, and my partner had a classic Victoria sponge.
