Lovely friendly little place with really yummy vegan options. I had the breakfast and it was top notch.

Popped in the other day with my Mum just for a coffee. The young lady told us to just take a seat and she didn't even bring the menus over, I had to go up to her and ask if we could have two coffees. When the young lady brought them to the table all my coffee was all over the little wooden trays the coffee was brought out on, not even a sorry or a napkin to wipe it up with, little disappointed as we've been before. I wish I had taken a photo, but didn't think about it at the time.

Delicious breakfast with friendly service, good quality ingredients.

Breakfast is lovely as is the coffee but some off the girls could be a bit more on the ball with the service and not using their iPhone.

Had an enjoyable experience here with my wife. I had dirty fries with pulled pork, cheese and pink onion. My wife had a decent size Caesar salad with beautifully cooked chicken.

What a lovely addition to Frinton! Very welcoming staff, nice atmosphere, kick back order some food have a drink! Very nice coffee and all the food was good, the service was great, definitely will come back.

Very refreshing to find a lovely café near the seaside. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options! Coffee also very good. There is a garden area in the back great for sunny days 😊 Fast service and friendly staff will be back again soon :))

This was the best breakfast myself and my partner have ever had! It was amazing! The toast was just right, not too cooked, the fried eggs were cooked just right and were divine! The mushroom was so delicious, the best I have ever had and the sausage was lovely. I could go on... we will definitely be back again. It was a bit pricey but excellent quality and generous size portions so it made up for it. The staff were courteous and professional. Service was prompt. We really enjoyed our visit and enjoyed sitting on the tables at the front, in the sun!

Only issue is the noise of chattering when full!! Happy problem

Beautiful exterior and interior and absolutely spotless hygiene levels. Food was cooked to perfection by friendly and welcoming staff, can’t recommend big bird and bean enough it goes so hard.

We stopped by for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon & we were happy to get a table. The restaurant is the far end of the high street from the beach, but don’t let that put you off as it’s a nice spot to try out. There was a bit of a wait for food, though it tasted great and the service was good throughout our visit.

Have had breakfast at this restaurant previously and it’s been quite good. We have always thought that the restaurant surroundings themselves are awful with a cold dingy feel and uncomfortable seating. My recent experience however also resulted in a very poorly cooked breakfast. The bacon was dry and tasted as though it was cooked in advanced and heated up and my two poached eggs were like rubber balls. To cap it all I commented this fact to the staff afterwards and the only response I got was a vacant smile. Will certainly look for somewhere else now as it has too many negatives and would recommend others do too.

Nice place. Big breakfast was really good. Flat white was a bit hot and tasteless but looked nice. We first walked into the other coffee shop down the road, we noticed it wasn’t the same menu and the staff there didn’t think to tell us that they have another place down the road serving this food and when we walked into this place, the staff were also a bit clueless.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch on a sunny day. So nice to eat outside. Great food, excellent service.

Best Big Breakfast in town. I have tried 3 others and this is the best by far. Coffee very fresh. Breakfast hot, toast actually toasted, real sausages, real bacon, hot beans, proper tomatoes and mushrooms, lovely runny eggs, real proper hash browns and very sweet staff. The atmosphere is your usual cafe type without the kitchen smells flooding through. Great experience but quite pricey £31 for two. Worth every penny in my book I'd rather pay more for a real Breakfast.

Bird & Bean brings a warm and wholesome addition to Frinton-on-Sea, with delicious food, cakes, and coffee. Someone who is shortly relocating to Frinton, I can't wait to make this my new local! I'm somewhat of a coffee snob, and I love it here, I much prefer to support independent companies, and Bird & Bean did not disappoint.

Thank you to the staff at Bird & Bean that allowed us to sit inside before they officially opened for the day. We (8 of us) were cold and had just come back from a sea swim and needed warm drinks and food. The staff were welcoming and accommodating and served us on the dot of 9am😄. The food and drinks were delicious and all delivered with a lovely smile. Being a Bank Holiday it filled up pretty quick but we never felt rushed. Thanks Bird and Bean for a delicious start to the day.

Hard to fault our visit today for brunch. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Food cooked fresh and the changes we asked for carried out without hickup. I had breakfast One and my wife poached eggs and salmon on gluten-free muffin. Both cooked very well. Cakes we had gluten-free carrot cake and Easter rocky road both very nice. Warm atmosphere with customers coming and going, many just popping in for takeaway coffee. Plenty of staff to deal with all the customers. Latte was better than most cafés I've found locally time and care taken to make it. As a coffee lover that drinks coffee all over the place 😜 I won't say it was much more than a nice cup which is an achievement for a lot of places these days! Bill was just under £30. We plan to visit again.

Great atmosphere, greeted at the door by friendly staff and enjoyed some excellent food. I would highly recommend to visit if you can.

Lovely food and coffee, the staff were friendly, we all enjoyed breakfast here this morning. They have a great selection of veggie and vegan options. A member of staff asked us at the door when seating us about any allergens. It made me feel a lot more comfortable when ordering and eating because I knew the food would be safe for me to eat as the staff were attentive

We regularly eat breakfast here and always have their coffees when we go for a walk on the beach. They serve the best breakfast and amazing coffee. The staff are always helpful, polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

First time we've been since they moved. Fantastic food, service was excellent and atmosphere was perfect. When you didn't think they could perfect anything it's goes to show you how special this place is. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. My husband and I have been to many places near and far for coffee and this is the best coffee if not in essex in the UK and it is delicious everytime. Great portions of food, I had the waffles with biscoff and banana, and the others in my party had the classic breakfast, bacon ciabatta and the vegan breakfast. We wouldn't want to change one thing on the plates. You can see the people who work there are treated well as this comes across in their service. We will be back again and again! Thank you for making our family outing a little more special ❤️

Such a nice place for a delicious coffee and a bite to eat. Prices are really reasonable , portion sizes are really generous. The staff are really friendly, a really good atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Lunch on a Sunday- breakfast menu all day. I had the vegan breakfast which had field mushroom, tofu scramble, beans, toast, avocado, tomato, v sausage. It was delicious! One point lower because I didn’t like the brand of vegan sausage (personal taste). My friend had vegetarian breakfast and was equally as lovely. We both had tea. The waitresses were so friendly and kind.

Absolutely the best all day breakfast baps ever! We both had "the vegan bird" which had avocado, tofu, v-sausage and hash brown in it, so yummy we didn't want it to end! Great service and great vibes too!

First time have been in,wish had used it before! Used it before they moved a long while ago but loving the decor and the coffee was delicious! And staff who care about us! Went to the new bird and bean for dinner last night. Food was fabulous, as was the service, just can't fault it ,so lucky to have this wonderful establishment on our doorstep .

Really yummy lunch. I had the new Italian munch Ciabatta with coleslaw and it was delicious. Highly recommend. Tea and hot chocolate served in proper mugs, rather than the small cups. All round great, but the walls are a bit bare.

Excellent food, friendly service, very clean, catered brilliantly for a fussy food family like ours - two dairy allergy kids and I’m a veggie! My kids never get to have much choice but they were so happy eating here - loved their vegan milkshakes! Will definitely be coming back :)

This is a nice little coffee shop we visited while staying in Frinton. I popped here a few mornings for coffee and also had some Pain au chocolat’s. The coffee was decent and staff were friendly. Update August 2023: visited here again, they are just refurbishing the coffee shop but they’ve opened a new place 5 shops or so down the high street. Coffee probably better than before. They also have a small outdoor space out the back too. Probably my fave place to go in Frinton for coffee.

A simple concept, executed perfectly! Small menu, generous helpings and very reasonably priced. Service was both quick, professional and most importantly, with a smile!

The staff are SO lovely! The food is delicious. It’s so tidy and clean. The interior decor is divine. And nowhere else I’ve come across in Frinton does coffee so delicious.

We were hoping for a day at the beach lasy Sunday but alas it was pouring with rain. So we went for brunch in Frinton and this was the only cafe still cooking brunch at 11.30am. We were so grateful as we had 3 hungry children and was desperate to have some wholesome food. The English Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed the food very much. Keep up the good work!

Looking for a cafe with decent coffee in Frinton wasn’t easy! Luckily we came upon the Bird & Bean! Service was prompt, warm & welcoming. The range of food on the menu was excellent. Although close to closing time there was a good selection of cakes. What capped the visit to Frinton was the coffee, which had to be the best in the area!

Pop - up shop next to Adams for Coronation celebrations today (Sunday). Selling food with no suitable utensil so eat with. When pointed out to manager she just said "tough go along to our restaurant and get something". What an attitude, do not deserve patronage, most customers had same issue. It was too much for THEM to get the correct utensils. We live in Frinton and will encourage people to avoid.

Excellent coffee, can’t go wrong with good ole’ Italian beans! But, it’s also worth noting how it is made, too. You have to put your heart into something. So yes, coffee & staff - really good! Definitely will visit again if and when I am in the area.

We had a delicious breakfast muffin each and even managed to take away some doughnuts, which are fantastic! We highly recommend the Nutella and the bacon doughnut!

Second time we have popped in for coffee and cake, very good coffee and cake, a lovely place to chill out for an hour.

Have visited here a few times in the last couple of weeks whilst walking around Frinton and Walton as I recover from surgery and has become a firm favourite of mine. The coffee is excellent; as are the sausage sandwiches. This isn’t a fast food joint; everything is prepared and served to order. I was always greeted with a smile and the service is fantastic. Bird & Bean is the perfect place to relax; a place to leave the world outside the front door and enjoy a few moments of peace.

A truly scrumptious late lunch. We enjoyed the Ciabattas and fresh salad, followed by tasty pancakes with maple syrup. All washed down by a pot of tea each! Good service and excellent value for money. We will definitely return. Thank you.

This was our first time in this cafe & had a very good decaf coffee with fresh cakes. The service was both fast & polite not only for us but for the other customers from the four young girls behind the counter. The next time we visit Frinton we'll definitely be popping in mid-morning for our coffee break. Highly recommended.

Undercooked sausages in muffin with soggy hash browns. The salad leaves looked like they were not fresh as brown bits on them. The sausage sandwich my partner had was also well undercooked. The bread was thin and looked cheap. Asked for 2 lattes in plastic cups but was brought 2 Americano’s in ordinary mugs. So disappointed and had to leave most of it as inedible. Not a great start to the day as went by all the good reviews people had left.

Cramped awful , moody staff , over charged me when I complained was told will be refunded onto card! Don't think so ! To refund you have to present your card? Place is badly run food is cheap microwave

Love that they have a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options and I can always trust them to get it right.
