almost walked past when some beautiful cakes caught my eye - i had to pop in. amazing local bakery which is nice to see

I really like this bakery! The staff are always friendly and the coffee is great. I usually get the cinnamon buns, which are so good. I can highly recommend.

Wonderful little café and bakery on the eclectic Magdalen Road. Beautiful area. Absolutely delicious savoury pastries. Whilst not a vegan by religion I do enjoy and again delicious. Great coffee to boot.

Great end to journey from London Stopped for coffee scotch eggs and cheese straws. Worth a visit!!! I will return next time I’m down

I was phoning around to see if a local bakery could provide a selection of scrummy pasties and pastries to be delivered to my son for his 21st birthday. He's at Uni in Exeter and he and his housemates are confined to their 'bubble' so I thought it might be a nice treat for them all. Tina at St Leonard's Bakery was brilliant in organising everything and suggesting different food options to cater for the vegans and non-vegans in the house. After the cab company let us down St Leonard's Bakery came to the rescue and delivered them by bicycle. I can't tell you how thrilled my son and his housemates were with the fabulous offerings and I got texts from them all saying just what a treat it was, Thank you so much St Leonard's Bakery for being a major part of my son's 21st birthday celebrations. Not exactly what he had planned a year ago but a great alternative!

It was short walk from Hotel du vin on nice cute little street. Service was excellent and very friendly. I got Pastries, bread and baguette sandwich all very good.

We have started to use this bakery regularly since lockdown. The bread and cakes are always good quaility and the staff are welcoming. The vegan pasties are excellent

I had a aweful experience. I loved this local bakery shop even if the woman was not friendly ever. But i had humilatitng experience in the morning. Only I asked an innocent quejstion as a customer, the bakeries I was buying were out of the display on the counter whether they are not fresh or not. The woman was so aggressive in front of other customer and as usual she always abruptly saying they always have fresh bakeries. I understand the business but the approach to customer and explanation were so shocking. I have been there nearly 2 years but I never had friendly approach but being a local and understanding their business I tries to go there to consume. I spoke to my friends around there and i realised that was not only my experience. In the morning if you want to ruin your day and feeling, i recommend this shop to go.

Friendly staff very tasty pies sausage rolls cakes and freshly made ham and salad rolls. Well priced and good service

Lovely independent bakery on Magdalen Road with outside seating. Freshly baked bread, pastries, and a good selection of pasties including vegetarian and vegan options. Owner and staff are friendly and helpful.

I had a very unpleasant experience during a recent visit to the St Leonard's Bakery and was actually left quite upset after the way in which I was treated. Essentially, I popped in to buy some bread but unfortunately only had a £20 note. I apologised for this but the note was accepted by the lady at the till so I assumed that everything was fine. However she then proceeded to make a number of aggressive comments and to berate me in front of the other customers. Whilst I appreciate that it is not ideal to pay in a large note her response was unpleasant and disproportionate. I have visited the bakery on a number of occasions over the last year and the staff have always been extremely friendly and gone out of their way to give a high level of service. Unfortunately from looking at the other reviews and speaking to colleagues, it is not just me who has experienced the wrath of the new owner/ staff member. I will not be returning in a hurry.

Bring back the old owners. The new owner is rude and very abrupt. Needs a course in customer service. If I won the lottery I would happily pay for it...... Won’t be going back. I used to be a regular for a loaf of bread. I will be going to tesco now for Hovis!!!

Very impressed with the improvement in the quality of service and food at this bakery, since it changed hands recently. Much less pretentious than the other bakeries on the Magdalen road, but no worse in terms of the quality of the take away baked goods that it offers.
